Years of repetitive motion, injuries, and a motorcycle wreck - my neck was a wreck. ART, MAT, decompression, etc.. they all helped but, I was looking to get out of flare ups and pain. My friend told me about Functional Patterns and how much it helped him so I started doing some research and Kris was the only certified FP coach in the DFW. After three sessions I knew I was w/ the right guy to address my bodies imbalances and pain. He’s extremely knowledgeable and a great teacher at his craft. WOW! WOW! WOW! What can I say about my amazing nephew? I was miserable 2 days ago, dealing with excruciating pain due to my long history of Herniated Disks. My pain forced me to use a rollator walker to get around the house. Within hours after Kristian gave me proper back exercises to do. I was up walking and pain free. Thank you so much Kris, love you from the Bottom of my heart! Day 1 after exercises, I'm now walking pain free as if nothing happened. Kris and Mark have been great to work with. They are both very knowledgeable when it comes to body mechanics. I have noticed a difference in just 6 sessions. It was quite eye-opening for me to realize all of the muscle groups that I wasn’t using. I am already able to make some corrections on my own without prompting and I feel like my posture has improved.

I was an athlete and very active as a teen and young adult. Over the past 20 years, that type of activity has declined and I have obviously developed some bad habits in my body.

The myofacial release techniques really help with tightness and soreness. I highly recommend Fit by Design for all fitness levels.

I found Fit by Design while looking for a Functional Patterns practitioner. I had only recently been made aware of Functional Patterns and I really wanted to see what it could do for my special needs daughter in particular. She started her training sessions October of 2023.

Witnessing her changes made me excited to see what it could do for the rest of my family and me.

From the first time I reached out up until now it’s been nothing short of an amazing experience. Almost my entire family has had more than a few sessions, and on a weekly basis. We all agree it’s the difference we’ve all been hoping for! We range in age from 14-44. Our daughter with special needs was born with spina bifida. She walks, but with functional difficulties.

As a family we had been under consistent chiropractic care for 11 years, and still we had pains that weren’t resolving and some that were worsening. While we do still believe chiropractic care kept us stable in many ways, we knew we had to change something. Starting training at Fit by Design was that something.

We now feel more in tune with our bodies than ever. We better understand where our dysfunctions are and it’s amazing how even after only a short time our bodies are adapting and changing in very positive ways!

This place is amazing and not only has it been a game changer for me the experience has also changed my life for the better. After I was diagnosed with low blood pressure and vasovagal syncope it felt like a death sentence I thought I could never be in shape or go to the gym ever again. I also thought that nobody in the gym/ personal training field would want to deal with it, plus it was difficult for people in that field to truly understand my health issue because not only was it affecting my body physically but also my mind because I really wanted to live a normal life as close as possible. That’s until I found fit by design and under the expertise guidance of Kris, I’m back to living a normal life, I can actually exercise now without feeling I’m going to faint. Fit By Design has been a great place to train. I have been coming for 6 months and have seen great results. I have worked with a few of the different trainers for scheduling purposes, and they all have been great. I have worked mostly with Kris Esperanza using the functional patterns concept. I went, not with the intention of setting my max bench press, but working on a long term frame work to help extend my career and gain some mobility. I had not heard of functional patterns, but I am sold. I found it to be helpful in helping with usable flexibility and posture. I noticed improvement in some areas that would get sore through a work day not being as problematic. Secondarily I was working to lose weight and was able to accomplish that as well. The body scan was helpful to see results and track as I moved forward. I’m moving, but will be traveling back to work with Kris because of his knowledge on the subject!

Training with Kris has been amazing! For starters, he’s very responsive and dedicated to FBD. My first meeting with him focused on my specific needs (recovery from ankle injury and building strength for hiking) and 6 months later we continue to focus on those while building towards my goals. Workouts are different than I’ve had with prior trainers and that difference is paying off. In addition, Kris’s attention to his clients’ specific needs vs just throwing out a weight training workout make me feel listened to. After going through several months of physical therapy before meeting Kris I can see where his training style is much more beneficial than what I’ve had in the past - we focus not only on my ankle, but on how that affects my entire body and connecting all the parts to my overall benefit. I highly recommend FBD because of the individual attention paid to the clients as well as the great atmosphere of them gym and of course, the incredible results delivered!!!

I recently started going to Fit By Design weekly to see Nicole for Cryotherapy session on my stomach after seeing something pop-up on Instagram. The results I got after 6 weeks were amazing! I know how to eat healthy and clean along with being constantly on my feet and active. I just turned 40 and even with no children felt I struggled with a little extra weight in my stomach. Love Fit by Design! This gym is clean, well stocked, and never crowded. Trainers use Fit3D to scan clients for body shape, weight, fat percentages, etc., which helps in evaluating the clients' health needs and goals. This tool can also be an encouragement in showing the progress made as time goes on.

I have really enjoyed the knowledge I've gained from the scanning and am always pleased with the privacy I'm given while going through the scan. It has been both fun and helpful to see my progress since I've begun my training.

In that vein, my trainer Kris is professional, respectful, and so knowledgeable! I feel confident that he will help me meet my health goals, keep me from injury, and make my workouts a positive experience! I have also trained with Austin, who, like Kris, is respectful and kind. Although I haven't trained with anyone else, I have only witnessed positive interactions around me at Fit by Design.

I love working out at Fit By Design. They have good clean facility. They have excellent personal trainers. Mr Austin Simonds is training me over 8 months I see very good difference. I have self trained for decades not able to achieve my goals.

The one thing I really like about this facility is they use the Fit 3D machine which measures your entire body shape, mass, fat, weight etc, so you can track your progress over time.

The trainer will adjust your exercise techniques, calories, protein, carbs intake based on your personal goals.

Kris and the Functional Patterns program are excellent!! Not a "Big Box" Metroplex gym/workout facility (and that's a good thing!!). The facility is very nice, small and fully functional to cover everything you need. Kris is very knowledgeable, able to customize the program to focus on your areas of need, fitness level, and ability. IMO, The program is a perfect combination of "physical therapy, Yoga, and a workout!" I've seen great results going approximately once every 2 weeks, over the last 6 months, (posture, alignment, core strength, weight loss, inches lost) so not something you've got to go crazy gung ho over to see results. Mix in some walking/cardio on other days and you've got a good mix. Tie in Modest diet management, vitamins/supplements, and you've got a great road to being a healthy happy camper, Kris is outstanding, highly recommend you give him a shout and get going!! Your body "core" will thank you!!

I've been working with Kristian 3 times a week for a few months now. During that time, I've seen a lot of changes:

I came in with 2 goals: decreasing my body fat and increasing my strength.

I had never had a diet or exercise plan in my life. Kristian sat down with me and broke everything down simply. He also stair-stepped our plan so it wasn't all these drastic changes all at one time. Before a few months ago, I was completely unaware of what to do in a weight room. He's a stickler for form which is a great thing. He wants to make sure each particular exercise is activating the correct muscles it's intended to.

I also came in with chronic back pain. Being at a desk a lot, it was a daily battle to try to outlast my back pain everyday. I didn't come in to these workouts with the intention of alleviating that pain at all. However, these exercises are exactly what my back needed and I have been pain-free now for 3 months.

I've never felt better on a day to day basis. I'm measuring better than I ever have in my adult life and Fit By Design is walking with me towards reaching all my goals. Can't recommend enough.

The gym has a very intimate setting that gives you the ability to work 1 on 1 with your trainer without alot of people in there at the same time.
