I have not stepped foot in this gym and some how since i had a member at fitness 2000 and cancelled my membership before they changed, blink fitness took $62 out of my account. I have called multiple times with no answer so i had to dispute it with my bank. Noe they are sending me emails sayimg i owe the $212 .... This place is a scam

This place was great until new ownership about a year ago. Have tried canceling 3 different times have 3 different confirmations of cancellation and still get charged. Fitness 2000 was apparent bought by Blink, who I have never signed a contract with and I want to cancel. Just had them withdraw $45 from my account, which I assume is an annual fee. Tried calling the number they have listed 6 times today with no answer, their inbox is full so I can’t leave a message. No email is listed online either.

I have been with the gym for over 3 years. So much so I was only paying 4.88. Ever since the new buyers came in I have tried to cancel my membership but, it has been a hassle. They recently over charged my account with no permission to do so. Even getting to talk to a representative is a hassle itself. Because I am still in the area I do not have a "good enough reason" to cancel. UNLESS I am more than 25 miles away from any of their gyms. I have been going back and forth with canceling the membership for about 2 months now. Also do not miss a payment they over charge you $29 for every missed payment. Needless to say, they have the worst customer service, do not care for their customers, and will do anything to make it impossible for you not to cancel there membership.

I am with Nicole they do give you hassle to cancel don't do a contract!!! My membership was up in October and I call to cancel and they tell me to call ABC Financial who proceeds to tell me I have to send a certified letter to them for cancellation and the postmark is the day the 30 days start for the cancellation. What in the world!!!! They are going to charge an annual fee of 42.99 in 2 days which I was paying 12.99 for the membership and now I have to go pay for a certified letter. Have been a customer with them for many years but looks like it will be Planet Fitness for me..month to month! RIDICULOUS!!!

I always went in the morning. Not a lot of people then. They have a fairly large selection of weights and machines, as well as a good number of cardio machines and an open area where classes are held. Membership was low cost so wasn't expecting a ton. The equipment isn't high end and is definitely worn. When trying to cancel because I'm moving away they said you cannot cancel in office or by phone. You must send a letter with your account number and that begins your 30 day notice period so you will have to pay an extra month. This is a very bad, customer unfriendly business practice that should not be supported. While I did overall have a good experience here for almost 2years this business practice soiled my opinion of the whole business

Clubs membership policies and the financial service they use for handling their contracts have terrible customer service and will do anything possible to keep you from exercising cancellation clauses. They will dodge questions and lie over the phone, and lose your documentation. In my own experience I have moved from the area ( to Denton) and due to the next club affiliate is within 25 miles (they state its 24.3, google maps states exactly 25) I cannot cancel my membership after being assured by representatives I could when I signed up. Will never be doing business here or their affiliates again. To anyone thinking of signing with this club, please be weary of this shady business practice

Since it changed to the new owners .. the TVs are always in news and sports !! Women work out there too so we do not want to be watching any of these while doing cardio... I had no problems before they changed owners.. they always had a lot of options to watch and relax .. now it sucks !!!

I've been a member of this gym (with a 4 year hiatus) since '08. Today, one of the "mood lifters" said to me, "I love cleaning. It keeps me from getting bored." This was certainly the first time I've heard words anywhere akin to those inside the walls of this gym. Since Blink took over, the staff is numerous and friendly. Everybody's cleaning and it shows. I'm no longer shopping gyms. The place could use a couple plate racks and get a couple more TVs working, but those are small issues. Can't wait for the lockers/showers to be brought up to Blink standards. Guys - I'm happy.

The gym itself was ok; nothing to rave about but provided satisfactory opportunity to get in better shape. The huge is issue is their cancelation policy. It is absolute unreasonable. My family had three contracts. We moved 40 miles away in Jan 2019. Fitness 2000 referred me to ABC Financial to cancel. They required proof of my move as if I were a lier not to be trusted. I sent in the forms they asked for, but they were rejected. Instead of calling me or sending a letter like a legitimate company, they sent an email which I never saw. It probably went to spam (if they indeed sent it). In April I noticed the 3 charges still on my credit card bill. When I called Fitness 2000 they apologized , claimed they could not do anything for me and referred me once again to ABC Financial, who proceeded to give me a hard time about canceling. They are stuck on their 'gotcha' contract that it is a scam. They have since charged me nearly $90 for the last three months and will continue to take my money until I jump through more of their stupid, red tape, unreasonable hoops. Their business practices are a horrible public relations nightmare. But alas, they don't care about that or about how many customers they provoke to anger. All they seem interested in is getting as much of our money as they can, even if we are unable to use their facility. I will never do business with Fitness 2000 or their henchmen, ABC Financial. Nor will I ever recommend them to anyone.

UPDATE: DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH FITNESS 2000! I was on month to month (no contract). As a result of their ridiculous cancellation policy and my crazy schedule, my certified cancellation letter arrived after my "yearly maintenance fee" is to be collected for the following month. Even though I've cancelled my membership, I'm still getting charged an addtional $40 for no good reason. Fitness 2000 claims they can't do anything about it and ABC Financial will ding my credit if it goes unpaid.

This place is OK at best. Gym is dimly lit, especially by the free weight area. If it's a cloudy day, you get tired just being in there. Also, if you want to use any of the heavier dumbells, you have to lean sideways and over in-between the rack and the Smith Machine to try and grab them...that is if nobody is using the Smith machine. Too much stuff shoved too close together.

And cancelling your membership? RAGING PAIN IN THE BUTT!! You will have to call ABC Financial, in Arkansas, to get the PO Box to mail your cancellation to VIA CERTIFIED MAIL ONLY!!!! Yep, you have to take time out of your day to drive to the Post Office, and pay a nice little fee to make sure somebody actually signs for your cancellation letter. This is nothing more than making it as inconvenient as possible to cancel your membership.

I loved the gym itself but I wouldn’t join unless you want to pay to be a member for life. Fitness 2000 uses ABC Financial Services,Inc for their memberships. You can’t cancel with Fitness 2000, I had to call ABC directly to cancel even after I have fulfilled my 2 year contract and the only way they would accept my cancellation is if I send a “certified” letter to them stating that I want to cancel my membership. ABC also charges you $29.11 if you are late on a payment.

I hear it is hard to get out of contracts, but I kind of get it considering it's pretty inexpensive. I'm a newish member and go about 5 times a week and here is a the real deal 100% on this location.

If you're someone who wants to get in and out with all the equipment you could possibly need than this is your place. It's never that crowded and it's not the typical meat market mentality that happens at most gyms. For whatever reason, the people here seem to be serious about getting into better shape and it's a good gym to go to if you want to throw on your headphones and not ever say anything to anyone.

I feel like this gym is perfect for people whom know what they want out of their workouts. My absolute favorite part of the gym is the large aerobics room. The cool thing about this room is they leave it open so you can go in their and grab a mat and do sit-ups, jump rope, or whatever. I go mostly during the day so it's always available to me and I like that for the cheap price I'm paying. For example, I use to workout at the NRH center which is great, but it never had a good place for me to do floor exercises which really bothered me because when I did find a place to do them there was always people walking over me to grab their mats! Hated this...

They have tons of cardio equipment so all bases are covered, overall they have more workout equipment than the NRH center for sure so if you don't care about the pool, better bathrooms, and basketball courts, fitness 2000 is going to be way more suitable. I will also note that I love the separate changing rooms that fitness 2000 has. So if you want to go change you can do so in peace if that is something your prefer.

There are a couple of things that really bother me about fitness 2000 and I'm hopeful they are reading this so they can fix it. I can't tell you the times where my nose was running or I needed to sneeze and there is no kleenix to be found anywhere. If you need to wipe your nose, you are forced to go into the small bathrooms and go into one of the less than clean stalls and get toilet paper. If someone happens to be occupying the one or two stalls, you have nothing to wipe your nose on, not even scott towels. My suggestion for fitness 2000 is the rectify this issue because it's very frustrating to not have access to tissue if needed while you are in the gym area. This is a MAJOR complaint of mine.

Last but not least they need to provide sanitary wipes like the NRH center does. This way you can wipe down equipment much better and keep everyone from spreading germs. Fitness 2000 does offer a few old towels and disinfectant spray bottles around, but the old towels are very nasty and are always damp with other peoples sweat from other machines. These things should be addressed ASAP.

Overall I love the gym though, because I'm a workout veteran and have not only taught fitness classes myself but have a wife whom is a camp gladiator instructor, I give this gym a thumbs up for serious workout junkies on a budget for sure.

If I could not give any stars at all I would. The contracts suck. You have to jump threw hoops to get out of your contract. It's a gym membership no reason to have to send a certified letter to end membership. Told them I was moving and they wanted proof of my new residence a certified letter and a bill with my name and new address. You have to do all of this whether your contract is up or not. They also do not tell you any of this when you sign up for the membership to begin with. For real it's not that serious. Gym isn't even that great.

Don't be fooled by the initial low price, this gym is terrible and has very predatory sales practices. I called on Labor day looking gyms in the area and was pressured into giving Dalton my card information right then to "lock in their special price;" on the terms I would come in the next day and sign the actual contract. Due to work related reasons I was unable to come in and sign the contract, yet Fitness 2000 signed for me! Here I am a month later with over $50 in charges on my card (yes they have a $39 annual fee due your second month they'll conveniently forget to mention). I have relentlessly contacted them and their financial company to make this error right and no one will take any responsibility. Dalton, the manager of the NRH location was very rude and failed to offer any resolve whatsoever! I have filed a stop payment on these crooks with my bank after many hours of headache. Stay far way from Fitness 2000.

Great gym, for all the ones complaining about the child care.......it's $8.88 a month. What do you expect? It's a great gym with a good environment. Staff communicates and remembers your name. Sure it may have it's ups and downs on "cleanliness" but it's a GYM for $8.88........ you literally can not beat the price for all the quipment this place has and the knowledge they have to offer.

I’ve worked out here for years. It’s a great facility and has everything you need. Unfortunately, I was unable to maintain my membership due to a billing issue where we were getting charged over and over again. The staff was unable to resolve it and would not give out manager or owner information, stating it as policy. After months of frustrating encounters, I was forced to close my account. Very disappointed. It’s been a great run tho and wish I could recommend this gym to my friends and family :/ I was hoping it was an isolated incident, but unfortunately it appears many people have had similar issues.

I had an appointment to get a guest pass & possibly sign up for membership. I arrived(on time) I walked up to the front desk, where there were two men in the office chatting. I patiently waited for someone to greet me. Even making eye contact& smiling at one of the dudes. A little more than 10 minutes pass by( still waiting) an older Caucasian couple walks in. Dude comes out the office right away, bypassing me to greet and help them. I wait a few more minutes. Still nothing, it wasn't until I walked out he decided to say something. 2 Stars because I'm in a good mood. Like other people have said, hard to believe all the 5 Stars are valid.

Overall, a serviceable place. The staffing is the issue. Sure, there are a few good eggs and they deserve all the credit they are due. The problems are with the staff that sit on their behinds while things could be done. Spray bottles and towels sitting around for days. Yes days. Maybe work the floor to break up the slackers that sit on machines to watch TV or gab while people are waiting to use the gear. Deal with the grunters that slam down weights. Grab a broom and get busy. Handle the slobs that drench the stations in sweat without wiping it down.

And for all that is Holy, you've got a place full of meatheads on high protein diets. Get some exhaust fans going in the bathrooms, hang up some air fresheners, or teach them the value of a courtesy flush. Seriously.

What's with all the managers there? Any time I've asked if a manager is there, that's them. Ride it out long enough and find an actual manager and there's more alpha dog attitude than the knowledge of how to deal with paying customers.

Things need to improve or there won't be a contract renewal.

This gym has no professional employees, management changes every week it seems. I have had billing issues since I signed up in June 2017. Also if you sign up online BEWARE you will have a Maintenance Fee Charge 2 months after you sign up. This is NOT disclosed anywhere online registration. They say it is but you have to click here or there and really who does that? It needs to be in BOLD on the first Page. So its another way to secretly draft funds from your account. I have called and spoke with Josh, Stoney, and Mary all supposedly Managers about a resolution. NONE of them were able to fix anything and they will NOT call you. You have to keep calling them or go in person. Very Unprofessional Gym. I will be filing this complaint with the BBB against the Gym and ABC Financial. I will spread the word like wildfire!!!

I get the very sleazy vibe from the place. They send you a ton of email asking to refer a friend..... etc. The most annoying thing is that they make it nearly impossible to get out of a membership. Love my new gym! It's only $8.88 a month and FREE daycare!!! Janette and her staff are amazing! I am a stay at home mom so my child has not been many places without me. She actually walks in alone now and stays the full hour with out a problem!!
The machines are very easy to use and other members are very friendly.
The staff is always very nice and are willing to help with any questions.
If you are not sure try out the free pass online.
I have not yet attended a class but I am looking forward to soon.

My husband sent in his military orders to cancel our memberships in December and in February, but I am still getting charged for our memberships. When talking to ABC Financial about it they told me they haven't received the cancellation form the 2 times we have sent it in (which has to be done by certified mail). I haven't lived in Texas for 3 months now and it is absolute crazy that I'm STILL paying for a gym membership I can't even use. The gym is cheap and has decent equipment but it has been such a hassle dealing with their financial company and getting these memberships cancelled. For that reason, I wouldn't recommend this gym.

Very disappointed, signed up through special on FB for Bedford location. 20 dollar up front then 8 and change a month. Now I get hit for a 35.00 annual fee, and the gym still isnt opened yet. That was two months ago. I am worried now more "fees" will be added. If someone from company would respond, I would love to hear your explanation. The description of an annual fee was not in ad on FB but I'm sure it was in fine print somewhere. not ethical advertising in my opinion.

I LOVE going to Fitness 2000. I have been a member for almost a year. I can tell you this is the only gym I've stayed dedicated to. The classes are great, the employees are great, and the people I have met are one in a million!! I plan on being a member for a long time to come. Right now Strong by Zumba is my favorite class to take- the instructor is amazing!! I did Boot Camp for a while too and love that as well. I just want to thank F2K for keeping the motivation alive in me. I know I have a ways to go but my health is better than ever and I owe it all to Fitness 2000!!

As far as the club is concerned, the equipment is typically covered in someone else's butt sweat while the staff works out. You have to bring your own towels or they charge you to use one of theirs.

Was given incorrect cancellation information so the club continued to charge me. You cannot call and cancel they make you send a 30 day notice by CERTIFIED MAIL to a company that is not affiliated with Fitness 2000.

When I called the club to straighten it out, the rep asked me if I had my agreement that I signed, as if I carry that everywhere with me. When I told her no, she stated, in a condescending tone, that the cancellation agreement was in the first paragraph.

Fit2k is inexpensive and has all the equipment you could need and the staff is amazing but the down side is that it is packed most of this time. Of course this is during "popular hours". Honestly if it had extended evening hours like it has early open hours, I would give this 5 stars. It closes at 10pm... if it would extend to midnight, it would be ideal and perfect for the working family. After a long day of work and then kids homework, the gym would be nice but when it closes in 10 min from that point it get difficult to utilize it.

And we verified at the time with the rep we would not have to send a certified letter since we were not in contract and they said we would not have to since we were not in contract with the membership we chose. Seriously not worth it! It is a nice small gym with decent equipment, but it can get very over crowded if there during peak hours. My dislike is with the fees. 10.00 a month is very nice but they do not go over the annual service fees that start the very next month and the horrible process for cancellations. If you miss a payment even by a day, you can not simply just make the payment in store. There will be a 30.00 dollar charge added. If you wish to cancel, you can not do so in store. You have to contact ABC services both by phone and then with a handwritten letter 30 days before you wish to cancel. Meaning you will still get charged for at least another month of service whether you are still using the gym or not. Its not a nice enough gym for the trouble. With the annual service fee they have, you can just start up at a place like L.A. Fitness or 24 Hour Fitness where you have all the same classes plus many more, open longer hours and every day, and also you can make payments, freeze your account, and cancel if needed all within the facility and on the same day.

Was a member of Just Fitness & due to JF closing the Fitness 2000 crew picked up all their customers which was nice of them but... the facility is small & the store closes @ 10pm... sorry more like 930. Because they begin to close everything up at that time & begin to turn off the lights... had this happen to me 4 times already. I even got locked in at their facility while taking a shower! I left the showers by 9:50! They don't even see if anyone is left in the bathrooms. They do not close properly or respectfully. They just want to have it closed by 10 instead of closing up @ 10. The equipment is somewhat well taken care of (better than 24 hr fitness status of equipment & that says a lot) So... I'm on this contract til November. It's an ok place That has most of the workout machines you need (not want.) Do not confuse this place for having Sauna's or Hit tubs because this is not that type of Gym. It is small & is somewhat kept up with. Avoid long contracts if possible. READ THE FINE PRINT BEFORE YOU SIGN! Hope this helps

I Love Fitness 2000, it is the best gym around. They have the nicest employees who go out of their way to help you. The gym is always being updated and is kept clean. I love the variety of equipment and a large quantity of cardio machines. The trainers are all friendly and helpful.

Great gym, great staff, great atmosphere, great price! This gym becomes a place I look forward to going to. With a variety of classes (such as boot camp and spinning etc.) as well as a variety of events for members to partake in, this gym really is worth it! What a joke. I was in town for a week and needed somewhere to work out. They wanted $99 for a one week pass. This place isn't even anything special (comparable to a 24 hour fitness). Good luck with those laughably obscene prices.

Everything about this gym is amazing. The people are delightful, I love Sherri's class at no extra charge... I used to work out at this gym every day.I can vouch for the cleanliness of this gym. I saw cleaning crew wipe down every machine everyday. The entire machine, even the parts people don't come into contact with. The perfect "Five Stars" for their awesome cleanliness and services.

I kind of want to give a bad review so more ppl wont come crowd my gym, but its a good gym if u are there to workout. Ive been here for a few years. Price is decent and has wat u need including lickers and showers. Wish it was bigger but, it always has enuff eoom to workout. They just started adding crossfit equipment. Compare prices and decide on ur needs. I love it.

Small crowded space, not clean, the bathrooms are always out of paper and or soap! There is an annual "enhancement" fee that is NOT on my contract nor do they tell you up front when you sign up. Who knows what this "enhancement" fee is used for because the gym itself is dirty!!! To cancel the membership it takes 2 months!! but when you sign up it takes them 10 mins!! This gym is not worth the cheap $20 bucks a month, i'm still in the process of cancelling and I haven't used the damn gym in 1 month!! I never have I seen the beach gym with a cleaning crew, dusty workout/training room.
