I spoke with the owner in person before moving. I asked about closing my account and was told I could either pay the balance or “just let the 1-year contract run down” and it would automatically close without renewal. That was a lie.

Fast forward: it’s been 1 year and 2 weeks, and I just got hit with another bi-weekly charge. When I called, Hadie politely told me it was my fault—because of their hidden “30-day notice clause.” This clause was never explained by the owner or the salesperson. No mention of needing to register on a website to cancel either.

I thought this gym was different. It’s not. It’s just another shady business hiding behind fake professionalism. At least other places are upfront about their fees. This one waits until your guard is down and sucker punches you with fine print and deception.

Unprofessional staff. Unprofessional management. And a business model built on trapping customers.

Stay away.

The "daycare" kids club area has very unexperienced and rude staff (especially the "blonde young girl". If you have children please think twice about leaving your children here. The staff is very rude and don't take the time to

BAD KIDS CLUB EXPERIENCE. Unfortunately as much as I wanted to continue my fitness journey here I could not due to the lack of respect integrity and proper care from the kids club staff. Although some were very nice MOST girls there were rude and snarky. The manager Archie seemed busy and instead of finishing my call explaining my concerns to him, he cut me short and claimed he had a meeting to get to. Archie if you’re reading this, next time try letting the person know when would be a better time to talk and fully be present.

Tried canceling membership before trial said I couldnt cancel until I got a free body scan which I refused to get . At these times cant trust what people do with your info. Take your time and look at the fine print in the contract. They charge every 14 days so they are taking 2-3 days out of every month if using that formula and gym shopping .In a year thats a whole month. Plus the have a once a year fee on top of that and cancellation fee if you want to cancel before. Very sneaky stuff . Dont trust what they say just look at the contract , but I would recommend looking elsewhere why put yourself in that situation. It is almost always packed , have to wait so long to get to certain machines. They take a long time to fix down equipment as well. Witnessed a disgusting incident, skinny black guy with curly hair that works there . I was using the urinal when that guy , walked in and used urinal next to mine. While washing my hands saw him walk out without washing hands. Absolutely disgusting, seen him out in the floor talking to multiple people shaking their hands and using machines. Unacceptable.

I was on my third week when I was approached by a trainer/manager guy right before a studio class started. I took advantage of the promo 5 weeks free + 5 free studio classes. I found it very disrespectful to have this man walk up to me like I was his 16 year old daughter, in front of others, and say " are you going to upgrade? You are taking from paying members?!?!?" He said it so snappy... I did not think it was a problem to enjoy the offer, secondly I am a paying member because to enjoy the offer...they make you sign a 12 month contract, third of all you kind of messed up me wanting to be a member or upgrade. You should not have said that 2 minutes before class started, in the studio. You should have pulled me to the side like an adult or waited after class sir. Horrible sales skills. Lastly, I was waiting to upgrade because I thought to treat myself to that membership before I made my big move to Humble, TX. You never know people financial situations or emotional battles.... I hope you learn from this sir. I am not your child and not obligated to upgrade when you offered 5 free classes. Besides the tall, slender man with short curly hair that ruined my experience...the gym is clean, the restroom is nice and the women instructors are so very welcoming.

I just walked into the facility for a 12 o'clock new member appointment and there were two girls standing at the front counter; one of them was eating her lunch (very unprofessional) and the other one was drinking something, neither one of them even bothered to look at me to acknowledge my presence and when I asked them if they were working, they looked at me like I was an idiot and said oh yeah I just thought you were standing there. I signed up at this gym shortly after Hurricane Beryl in 2024 and was told I couldn’t cancel or downgrade my membership until May 2025. In April, I called to confirm and was told I could come in on May 6th to cancel with no penalty.

When I went in on May 7th, I was told something completely different. While the manager, Archie, was polite and offered me a lower rate (about $6 every two weeks), I ultimately chose to cancel. But then I was told by a representative there I have pay a $100 buyout fee, even though I was under the impression my contract had ended.

I asked if I came back on June 1st, would the fee still apply and I was told yes. The whole process was frustrating and honestly I feel like because I didn’t hoot and holler or make a scene, this why I have this outcome. I tried to follow the rules and timelines, but it didn’t seem to matter. Now I’m out an extra $100 I wasn’t expecting to pay, just to cancel a membership I was told would be penalty-free after a year.

If you’re considering this gym, be cautious of the contract terms and what you’re told. If your financial situation changes or you need flexibility, they may not work with you. I’m only speaking for the Humble, TX location, but based on my experience, I would not recommend it.

I have been a member for about 2yrs now and love it. Staff is friendly and encouraging. I take the group fitness classes that are offered and they are all AMAZING. I say try each class at least once.
Kids daycare is great too my kids are excited to go to the gym and I know they are in good hands.

I love this gym! The classes and the staff are amazing! Haydee is very knowledgeable and helped me with the 3D scan. Another perk to having a membership at Fitness Project! I would highly recommend this gym!

Have been coming to this gym for a little over 2 years now and I really like it. Great customer service, everyone is so friendly specially Haydee, she always welcomes you with a great positive attitude. Love the environment.
