They make it very difficult to cancel. They do not return emails or phone calls. I was told I could pause my account and they confirmed they would not active it until I called them asking them to do so. After 3 months they automatically began charging my account again. I was out of town at University so I was unable to visit them in person. I was told that they would βtake care of itβ several times and they never did. They have charged me 5 times (for a total of $100) since I was out of town. Spend a few extra bucks at an honest business.

Cancelled in September of 2020 have been trying to reach them since October when they continued to bill me. The owner made rude comments about how I only used it twice despite a pandemic hitting the month I signed up. They do not take their own calls they have a call center that will take a message and never give it to anyone because why would they want to resolve an issue? They suck!

This gym claims to be true 24/7. But is it really? I get there at 5 am on a Thursday the lights are off and my barcode doesn't work. I call the number on the door and tell her my barcode isn't working. She says well I think the doors are locked. I said ok so is the gym closed? She says well I guess I can let you in. She let's me in. The lights are still off I ask where is the switch to turn the lights on. She says I'm not going to turn the lights on they don't want me having a bunch of people in here. I'm standing there confused thinking how am I supposed to work out in the dark? Then she finally says ok here and turns one set of lights on and asks that I shut them off on my way out. True 24/7? Doesn't seem like it.

Absolutely love this gym. I've sinned moved to a different city but when I was going, there was hardly anyone there and workouts were a breeze- no waiting for equipment to free up. The owner is a fantastic person. Great community gym, 10/10

Once they have your credit card, apparently you're going to pay forever. Tried multiple times to cancel and contact in writing. I've never received any response from them and they just keep charging the card. There are lots of gyms around, I recommend going elsewhere.

I moved away from CP and for over a year did not visit the gym. Only after I changed my bank account was I reminded by a text that there was an βerror processing my membershipβ. I immediately called the gym and they told me I had to physically come into the office to cancel otherwise they would send my account to collections. What a racket! Offered no explanation as to why I canβt cancel my membership online or over the phone. For crying out loud, itβs a unimportant gym membership and not a mortgage.

what can I say... I have ran over 17 gyms on three continents and I love this gym. it has great employees and customers. the equipment its great though it is lacking a old school flat bench I was informed that is changing shortly.. in the mean time it has some rouge fitness racks like all the pros use not and you can flat bench without issue.

CROOKS! Thatβs right, legal extortion! I was even forced to give them 1 Star to write a review! This is one of the biggest scams I have ever seen! I have canceled my membership after attending 3 or 4 times. They do not accommodate any other locations then here in Texas!! I no longer reside in Texas, I have called and notified them of my position and they wanted me to freeze my deal so they could charge me a hold fee on a monthly basis. I have sent letters and calls and responded to their continuous harassing texts and emails and collections for a minimal amount which has now increased! What a scam!
No one ever answers the phone, no one else vet returns calls, no one responds to anything! I have hired my attorney who advised that this is their criminal enterprise on how they make their money.
Yelp, has the same of these reviews. That will harrass you with any kind of communication they can for $19 to $98 until they continue to run up interest and they send you to another bogus collection agency thatβs Asks? How much do you think you owe them? Really! They claim they are here to help you! And they say you have to pay this to make it go away or it will ruin your credit! Well! If you are a Veteran! I would tell you to avoid this place like the plague! Iβm Retired from the military and if this is the way people treat Americans by scamming and taking money they do not earn, then they themselves are homegrown Terrorist trying and competing for self gain at the expense of the American public!
They ought to be ashamed of themselves! Hard working Americans work hard for their money! And these people at FLEX FIT GYM take their money by harassing communications and will not assist in any way to prevent the process! They want easy money! Not here! They make it so difficult to end your subscription. I moved away before I could quit and they're still charging me. I've done everything they've asked to cancel but they just haven't stopped charging me. Even when I could come into town, their office hours online were wrong. It feels like they're never actually there.

The price speaks volumes. You are getting what you pay for. If you are a heavy lifter this definitely is not the gym for you. No squat rack and no bench press! There is little to no maintenance or cleaning. If you just want to casually workout it works.

They charge a joining fee, they charge you "last months fee" so I guess you better cancel a month ahead of time. No military or senior discount, or even waiving partial joining fee, nothing. There's also an annual fee. . It is a contract, all plans are contracts, even the $9.95 a month is a contract, and no, not a 1 year contract, it's a forever contract, it will go in perpetuity until you cancel, and yes there's a $25 cancellation fee, even if you have been a member for years. There's fine print about cancelling, and how to pay for your cancellation, otherwise it doesn't take effect. And you still owe your annual fee upcoming if you cancel. All figured in, it's about as expensive per month as gyms that are clean and have functioning equipment, 1 out of 3 exercise bikes work, half the treadmills, and half the elliptical don't work. No frills in the bathroom, bring your own toilet paper and clean it yourself before you use it, same with showers. But hey, there's no Planet Fitness in town. But planet fitness is cheaper, they'll waive the joining fee if you ask, or you are military.

Set up appointments for private fitness training, and the guy never showed up twice. Then we tried to cancel our membership, and was told it was cancelled. We hadn't joined for the year and were going monthly. We had read reviews so we cancelled the card, knowing they were known to keep charging even after the cancellation. Sure enough, they tried. 2 months later they somehow got another card we had, and charged it 120 dollars. We've had to call the card company and let them know it was a fraud charge. Be very wary, the cheap price isn't worth it. Pay for reliability.

The gym is never cool, 10 treadmills, 4 work properly, some weight equipment is very seldom organized, not sure how Clean the workout area is. Thought the low price was attractive,,, now I know why. For a 24/7 gym, why is it closed on holidays,,,, and Halloween. Really. ?? Glad I am moving next week, I will change gyms the same week. Been there dun that. I give it two for convenience.

This place is unprofessional and unreliable. The staff are ignorant to what material really goes out to the customers when shutting down a location. They close my account and have me sign paperwork only to send me a letter in the mail 3 months later to tell me that i owe them.

Dated Aug 8th 2016...I love going to Flex Fit because they provide great fitness classes. My favorite is the Zumba classes that Carolina instructs. Great people there that attends make it fun and inviting. Never ashamed to get loose. They also offer Ripped. Jason the manager there offers passes as well as membership. Jason thanks for everything!

..If you guys have plans to use gyms, look at their contracts that the gyms offer. If you don't , you might be signing up for something you can't afford. I did read reviews other customer had posted. I was kind of skeptical when I signed up with FlexFit in Cedarpark because of all the fees they make you pay. There is a one time instructor fee $20.00......Then if you pay for the all access its $20...(19.99)...Down payment is $44.90....I roughly paid prorated at $ 69.00......... They offer open contract so you can cancel whenever you like. Well the sad part is that they charge you basically $29.95---rounded at $30 for cancellation fee. Also they take money out monthly on the 15th Eom. So if you cancel by the 15th then you are ok. If you cancel like I did on the 27th then you are screwed. Cause I still owe for July 15th. I will still get billed for July 15th since I already paid for the month of June. To all my Flexfit friends who have contracts with them I advise now that you will pay $30 to close your contract. I think it is horrible, but it is what it is.... Never again will I sign up for gym membership....EVER!!!!!!!! I give them a 1 star in regards to the fees. FlexFit shouldn't have cancellation fee if the customer wants to cancel anytime. That is what I call horrible customer service.The instructors are wonderful people. For all of the instructors there at Flexfit, I give them all 5 stars.Carolina, Fernando, and Kristin very concerned about our fitness goals will go out of their way to ensure that you met goals. Out of all the classes...Carolina teaches Zumba there. Carolina does a wonderful job instructing. Carolina smile and motivation gets us pumped up. Overall in the past I had rated the facility a 5 star, but with the horrible cancellation fee, I rate the place as a 4 star. Flexfit also needs to revamp their contract and rules to 1 Free Guest Daily. It doesn't specify classes or access to the gym equipment only.

Scam. Bait and switch marketing tactics. Hidden $30 annual fee. Hidden $30 cancellation fee. Broken machines. Dirty facility. Employees are trained more in how to handle cancellations than actually doing their jobs. None of them every answer the phone. The company they use to process their monthly payments will occasionally say "they couldn't charge the account" and then charge you $30 two days later, which miraculously goes through. They make you take a photo in the beginning so they can use it as blackmail when you try and cancel.
Go somewhere else. It's not worth $9.95 a month. And no contracts is a lie. Dirty disgusting corporation. These people are a scam. Companies like this should be out of business within the first year. Don't believe me? Look at their BBB and CFPB complaints.

I think there should be regulations foe non contract places making it so difficult to cancel and continuing to charge your membership fees after you decided not to pay! The gym is good for what it is. But I re eievd a collection call after,changing my card,number months ago! Cancel the membership as I asked you to do, don't rack up fees and then sell the debt!

Very margnal gym. If all you care about is a simple workout, this is prolly the place. But if you'd like all of the equipment to be clean and fully operational, not your place. Clicking elliptical machines, dirty universal machines, water fountains that hardly work, etc. If you are a Fox News junkie, they have Fox on two of the 6 working TVs.....and no other news. I have a bad & frustrating experience with this gym mainly of their enormous charges. I was told the fee is $29.95 a month to avail of the zumba class. So I signed up. Then I was surprised they charged around $70+ in my card. So when I asked why, I was told I had to pay the last month fee and then portion of the current month. I wasn't informed ahead of time! I just let it go. Then when I came to start using the gym, there was nobody to show me around . I have to search it myself. Then here comes the series of charges episodes I have with them. I called up to change my card on file. Then I got charged in my new card with insufficient fund because they first used my old card! They claimed that I talked to someone on a certain date which I never did! They said they will just reduce my fee the following month for the insufficient fee they charged. However my card got charged again for a 1-month fee apparently for an ANNUAL FEE after 2 months with them! Again this was not discussed with me. Then when I cancelled because I could not take all these charges in my card, they charged me another month because they said I cancelled after the 15th. Again, I wasn't informed about this. This gym is a HUGE rip off. I will be reporting this matter to BBB. It is such a terrible business to deal with.

I've been going to this gym for around 4 months and I have no complaints. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They also offer plenty of things along with your membership! You get a haircut once a month and unlimited usage of the tanning beds. Also the crowd in the gym is inviting. Thanks guys you'll have a daily gym goer for years!

The Flex Fit staff is knowledgable and helpful. Some of the best group fitness classes I've seen. The facility is very clean and well maintained. You have 24 hour access to multiple locations, so no excuses to not workout. Unlimited tanning and childcare, what's not to love about that! The atmosphere is upbeat and positive. Very pleased with the facility and expansions. This gym truly cares about helping their members reach their fitness goals and that's what it's all about!

Clean Gym Management is friendly, approachable and upfront with rates. No hidden fees. It is my one stop shop. I do my workout, laser hair removal by Mila and what I love the most is Zumba with Carolina or Bellydancing Visit Mila for Laser Hair removal - Great Experience and very low rates compared to other places in Austin.
I recommend everyone to take advantage of their low rates. I shopped around all Cedar Park and they are the lowest!

Let me start with this.. When I first sign up to this gym I was surprise that the membership was so cheap.. Should of known better.. This was over a year ago.. I decided to get the VIP member ship since they have all this so cal great amenities.. So my contract was to be about $19.00 a month. As I was signing the paper before they had the computer.. Alan the guy that is usually in the front then told me that there was going to be a one time Fee and so I was going to be charge about $50.00 or so for the amenities and the services, I said okay ONE TIME? He said yes just this one time and you will not get charged again.. A few months later I get charge this one time fee again because there excuse was that since i signed up around in November maybe December that when the new year came they yet again charged me the so cal ONE TIME FEE because it's a new year I call this BS! So where does the one time fee mean then? Okay so I called spoke to JERK JASON and he not only did not explain to me why I got charged twice for this one time fee but confused me spoke very fast so I wouldn't understand him and said it was explained on my contract smh okay I let it go.. Recently a few months ago My bank but not just mine send out new cards with the CHIP on it which meant it was not the same card that the gym holds.. After three weeks I notice my card had not been charge I wasn't aware about yeh chip making a difference so I went to Flex and spoke to them about my card and account, I spoke to ALAN and he said because it's a new card it's a different number there for he was going to update me in the system but wanted to charge me a late fee for that which was going to be a total of $35.00 I was upset he then waived the fee.. I thanked him because he knew this was not my fault and I atleast tried to fix the problem.. Then came next month being January and I decided to try there laser hair removal with this lady name I think Mila because she persuade me that this was a great deal with great results she said for what I wanted to get done was going to be about $14 a month.. So me and a friend of mine said okay will try I sign in some paper work and she did my face.. Now after she did my face and then my friend next she THEN came out and told me there was going to be a $50.00 charge and again just one time and this $50.00 was gonna be towards the next sessions.. Well a week after that I checked my account.. And not only did I get charge 50 from her I got charged again the one time fee from flex plus my monthly charge WOW REALLY!. I go back and asked them what's going on big disappointed they scammed me and took my money!. I spoke to ALAN!. Alan gave me the excuses that it was a glitch then he asked JASON, JASON again we talked fast to wear I had no idea what he was saying it did not make sense and worse attitude there excuse was oh the computer picked you up as a new member!. Wow really?. I'm not a new member well Jason poor of excuse was your card didn't go through last month and when I try to explain to him what happen even Alan agreeing that I did go and try to fix the problem the computer still charged me as a new member there for those ONE TIME FEES where charged again! I asked okay so is that other 50 I paid for the laser hair removal is going to the next session JASON yet again said NO! I told him well MILA SAID IT WOULD.. JASON said no that he is aware of what MILA said and he knows for a fact she never told me that.. Well first Jason was not present when Mila spoke to us because she only lets one person at a time in that little tiny room and too Jason was outside with other customers when we came out!. So his such a LIAR, MONEY HUNGRY AND SCAMMER.. ALAN tried to mend things by offering me a T-shirt worth $20 and a free month well neither I got the shirt nor the free month.. Needless to say DONT EVER PAY WITH YOUR CARD, pay CASH if you can do not believe when they say they will take care of you because they won't with the excuse that it's too late it was already procces. LIES

The owner does a lot of apologizing to people for getting ripped off over the past year of reviews here. Obviously no action to his words. But my son just got ripped off over the past 6 months and finally yesterday when I made him cancel his membership due to unethical and poor business practices. This place is a rip off, do NOT go here. There are so many hidden fees, its disturbing, I'm surprised this place is still in business. They even charge you a $30 fee to cancel your membership. I'd give it zero but it's not an option. I never went here, but I saw my son got ripped off here. I told him if it's too good to be true ($10 a month) then it probably is. He's learned a great lesson from this place. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! Do your research go to a reputable place like Gold's or something like that, you get what you pay for!

I love the things this gym had to offer and the price of course. I pay for the VIP membership which is $19.95 and I have been with the gym for about 4 months currently and unfortunately I was charged a NSF fee this month due to being 1.5 days late on my payment. First I will say that when I signed up the person that signed me up barely explained anything to me other than the monthly payment, when it was due, and the perks of the VIP membership, nothing more. When I called about the NSF fee what I was told directly is this, " I'm sorry it wasn't explained to you, there is nothing I can do it is in the hands of our billing department." Mind you they didn't offer me the number to the billing department either nor did they offer any services. They told me if it had been them they would have explained those things. They said nothing more. My problem with this is would be that of course I am not an employee but they also have left paperwork laying out at night for people to see at the front desk. AZ far as I know in any company that is a policy for privacy that should be followed directly. This was late night so of course no staff was present. In large lettering it had clearly wrote on the paper "don't forget NSF fees." Now if I am correct that is supposed to be billing departments job? At least that was displayed to me that way and now has been for the second time. For the fact that my account was yet again charged before the 2nd of the month and I called to figure out why. Well turns out it is my annual fee.... once again a fee I knew nothing of because again it was not told to me. I asked why I was being charged an annual fee if I had only been with the company 4 months..... in response from the lady I was told this, " we charge the annual fee after two months." Well I'm sorry but don't you think once again that is a valuable piece of information that should be explained to the customer? I assume not since I was told none of this at sign up, and when I did sign up the gym was busy and I felt like I was rushed to sign and leave due to the flow of the business at that time. Regardless of how busy the company might be the customer should never be made feel like another dollar instead of valued business. On my last note, I called in regards to the tanning rooms not having ANY protective eye wear for over a week, was told that it was going to be handled because it was a safety hazard, And yet up to the end of last week there was still no protective eye wear that had been provided for the tanning room. I'm really not understanding how a company can operate so sloppy and still feel they have the right to treat customers the way they do with no solutions. I will be canceling my membership do to the severe lack of decent customer service and accommodations.

Been going here for several months and really like it! Alan is usually at the front desk or walking around when me and my boys arrive and greets us kindly & professionally! The young ladies in the child care are amazing!! Sweet, caring, and take great care of my guys while I'm working out. There was even an issue with another child having a bad day and pushed one of my boys... The staff handled the situation so responsibly by getting the other child's parent immediately! Kids are kids and I was in no way upset, my kiddo was fine but I was very impressed with the way the ladies handled it. I trust them with my fellas and they are just very sweet. Sorry to see some bad reviews because so far my experience has been great!

VIOLENT? & ARROGANT OWNER - WATCH OUT!
My gym (Fittness 19) closed down abruptly and apparently sold my contract to this gym. I never received any information about this transaction and now this 'family business' gym is charging me membership dues. I had a conversation about how 'right' this is and according to them it's completely just for them to charge me.
I'm fine paying for services rendered but obviously these people have a different idea of what's right and what's not. I'm not criticizing them for buying the contracts or the failure of my gym but I wonder about the sense of what's right and what's wrong.
The owner also indicated he doesn't care about negative feedback at social media. Prove him wrong and vote by choosing another business.
Update:
I went to cancel in person. After paperwork was done and I was told 'this is all legal' I still pointed out legal doesn't necessarily make it right. At this point I was asked to leave and while I was moving towards the exit the owner decided to enforce this by threatening to 'kick me out'. I asked if he was threatening me and he said 'yes' while moving towards me. Guess legal concerns them only when in their favor. Good luck to all future patrons, looks like a nice enough gym but I wish you luck if you ever have a disagreement with them.
Can't wait to see what kind of spin owner/manager can put on this one. I'm sure this is all my fault, lies, etc.

Cancelled my membership a few weeks ago because I'm moving away and they still billed me for the month and charged me yearly membership dues. They never answered when I tried calling or got back to me when I "won free personal training classes". They also did not give me a free month credit for referring a friend.

Opened account when they first started.didnt use it so decided to cancel.2 months later still being billed..poor business model great idea.Once they get with the program as far as billing all will be great until then no thanks
