Fields were easy to access. Didnβt like that we had to pay to get in $10/person. But once in there you can see where they put it back on their fields. Over all parking lot and fields were very clean and crews were on standby to check in trash.

Having to pay $10 per PERSON!! to come watch your child play is wild to me. I have never had to pay extra to watch a game at any other tournaments except here.

X-Plex got rid of some of the best grass fields in the area to put in turf. In Texas, in the heat, the turf temperature reaches 190F on cloudless summer afternoons. No child should be playing on that surface heat ever. Fields are trash. If you are fortunate enough to play on the grass still there on one field or two, itβs not bad. Turf fields are garbage and unsafe in summer for any human being on planet earth. This turf trend has spread to Craig Ranch and it is just as bad. Think much? Played again out there recently in tournament, and the turf is still awful.
As for the money grab, Mellisa can spin it any way they want, but the amount of cash they take from you is absurd. If Mellisa think the cash grab is for a good cause, then ask for donations. If people agree with you, then let them gladly donate. You canβt convince a normal person $10 per spectator is anything but unethical and immoral to watch a 9 year old play soccer. If you are going to complain about maintaining turf, donβt build it in the first place. That is part of owning a business.

A good, large facility. Well kept. Plenty of sun covering and netting systems make foul balls a non issue for spectators. Surprisingly good food at the concession stand.

Probably nice on the proposal pitch to investors, and maybe when it first opened. Turf fields are nice. Grass fields are playable. Restrooms are TERRIBLE. Disgusting, no water, no soap, no towels. Two stalls for the park.
Parking is tight when they schedule multiple different sports tournaments at the same time. Then they allow food trucks to take up 5 spots instead of having an area for them.
Sidewalks are grimey, grass next to sidewalks is destroyed.
No forethought on spectator seating so bleachers are placed on the sidewalk. No room for lawn chairs. The bleachers are in need of repair also, don't sit at the top or you could fall back since the fencing isn't secured properly.
The best part is the smell from the landfill. It's random but when it settles over the area it makes for a rough time.
Food from the restaurant was alright but it's not well advertised or communicated that it's even there.
This place had the opportunity to be world-class. Feels like a let-down.

Fields are great but the Restrooms are out of control. The smell is so bad, every lady that walks in there is gagging. As women we need to sit down, there are crickets EVERYWHERE! The dead ones are caked to the toilet and look like feces. If you are charging $10 fee atleast make sure the restrooms are adequate for small children and guests. While we do appreciate the port a potty as an option that is not ok.

The womenβs restroom is absolutely disgusting. The smell alone will literally take your breath away because it smells like ammonia due to the ridiculous amount of dead crickets, tampon/pad trash cans overfilled, and urine on the seats. There is a sink full of dead crickets. Dead crickets under the toilet seats as well. The fact that each person that comes to a game pays $10 per day and the restroom is in this condition is absurd! Do better!!!

Sutton grass soccer field was great condition. However no water, no concessions, not a single piece of shade to protect against the scorching Texas sun, and beware, they charge $10 for each adult who wants to enter to watch their kid play

They use something other than rubber pellets on the Beacon turf fields which is sharp and painful for the keepers. My daughter and another keeper from her club have cuts all over their legs and arms from diving on these fields and say it feels like razor blades when you hit the turf. In all her years of playing keeper, we have never seen this before.

If you are going to a U90C soccer tournament here, they are charging $10 per day per PERSON to park. Absolutely absurd and embarrassing. We wonβt be back
Edited to add $10 per car is reasonable and fairly common. $10 per occupant is the issue. Iβve got to chip in an extra $30 for the weekend so Grandma and Grandpa can come out? Re-visit this policy ASAP, you overdid it

This baseball field is a solid spot for a game! The fields are pristine with well-kept turfs, perfect for players to shine. The covered seating area is a major plus, providing shade and comfort, though itβs cemented, so bringing your own chair is a must for extra coziness. Great venue for enjoying a match, but pack a cushion for the concrete seats!

This place is so bad. Make sure to bring a mask. There is a landfill next to the field. For tournaments they charge to get in and the fields have more dirt than grass if you aren't on their turf fields. They also don't have artificial grass, they only have turf. Not worth the long drive. Not close to the highway either.

So this place is the only facility that charges to park for soccer tournaments. The real issue is that if youβre going to charge ppl to park why donβt you keep your public restrooms in order? They are literally disgusting and you can smell them from quite a distance as well. My daughter nearly throws up when she goes here because of how awful the upkeep is. Itβs also not just one time, itβs EVERY. SINGLE. TIME! If youβre going to charge ppl for parking like itβs a professional event, be professional yourselves and take care of your facilities. We all get you are trying to recoup money spent on new fields. Do better before you start charging ppl like this. Itβs a bad look. I wonβt post a photo because I highly doubt anyone wants to see.

Parking is ridiculous. This is the only soccer venue in the area that charges for parking. The fields are nice, but I can't figure out why teams still book to play here! Parents are already paying for tournament fees, they don't deserve to be gouged by parking fees on top of that. Parents need to pressure their couches to stop playing here!

The playing facilities themselves are fantastic which is why it's such a shame that they have THE ABSOLUTE WORST bathrooms you could ever imagine. It smells like they haven't been cleaned since they were built, there was urine all over the floors, they surprisingly had soap, but the sink didn't even have a faucet so there was no water and no paper towels. Completely disgusting and unsanitary.

Fields were in decent condition. But the negatives far outweighed that. Limited parking, no space for the teams to hang out or warm up in between games, the restaurant was closed both days of our tournament, the bathrooms are too small and were gross, the air smelled like methane gas one day as its next to a garbage dump, and cow manure the next. Not a great experience at all.

Only schools sports facility in the DFW that charges $$$ for parking. Apparently the city of Melissa spent too much money on this complex and Ford only gave them enough money to put their sign up. Who knew parking next to pasture land that smells like cow manure was so expensive. Also there is not enough parking for large events. Ohh and there are no concessions on the soccer field side. You have to pay more $$$ to enter the baseball side to purchase water from their concessions.

We came here for my sonβs soccer tournament. Although we already paid tournament fees that covered fields and officials, the complex made us pay for parking like they were an MLS soccer stadium lot. Itβs Melissa, TX - get over yourselves. All so that we could play on below-average fields that smelled of manure (from the feed op) and trash (from the landfill)β¦not a great experience for the children. Hopefully, the tournament officials will pick a different host complex next time.

Concession stand closed at 7pm and there were still games going on. That sucked !!
We were there Monday night. There was no rain, but it was hot. The water faucets weren't working either. We try to support local concession stands and venues. But moving forward I think I may have to be like some of the others and just bring an ice chest. That way I don't have to worry about hours, weather or staffing. Nice complex though !!

We pay A LOT of money for tournaments there and it is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS for the additional $20 fee to get into this place! So depending on how many games you play during the weekend and how many people in your family, it can cost $80 to well over $100 for ONE weekend! You can get tickets CHEAPER at Rough Riders games! Think it's TIME people start protesting, pitch chairs OUTSIDE this facility and say "NO" to ticket gouging! I wanna know who's mortgage and helluva nice car payment all this money is going too because I KNOW it's lining someone's pockets! π
