I consistently have a good experience here! All of the instructors are wonderful but Lainie is my favorite, she’s super kind and has a great energy about her. I’ve been to classes elsewhere that seemed like they were trying to cram as many positions into the hour as possible- which some people may like. Lainie demonstrated the pose & let us spend the perfect amount of time in each position, giving her the opportunity to go around the room & correct students form as needed. I achieved a better stretch, and felt a deeper mind body connection this way. I left feeling super seen that she spent time helping me build a strong foundation as a beginner. Love this place!

The community of friendship and family transcends the actual practices. The leadership of GFY is remarkable. I didn’t start until a few short years ago and my only regret is that I didn’t pop in and try a class before. I love Ashley’s classes- they can be spicy as a Texas pepper with a mix of kindness. When I started going, she (and many others) made sure to make me feel welcome. It’s not just a yoga class at GFY!

I enjoy all of the classes, and every instructor is top-notch, from getting to know you with a warm smile upon entry, sharing good news, providing foundational insights with each yama, and making you feel better than when you came in for class.

It’s been a while since I’ve lived in Dallas, but I’ve had the urge to leave a review for Gaia for some time now whenever I remember how much I loved my time as a member.
This review applies to all three locations, although I frequented the Addison location most and preferred it for a few reasons. As others have mentioned, the heat is just right. It’s not so much that it’s suffocating, and you definitely miss it when you practice somewhere that isn’t heated. The Addison location is the smallest location, with no locker room, merely a bathroom shared by the whole studio, and a small room in the front where you may change. All good, I wasn’t there for a spa shower.
It turned out to be a great thing that there was nowhere to hide, because every class it seemed like every student received equal attention from the instructors, all of whom were very talented and led a very inspiring all-levels class.
The diversity of classes offered was awesome, especially if you have an intermediate level practice, since the studio genuinely has yogis of all levels. Really athletic classes like Ocean and Mountain (my favourite) always included progressions challenging for people at all levels, from students new to yoga, to students with contortionist-level back flexibility or gymnast-level upper body strength. It was super duper cool to be in class, not feel judged, and see myself and others make progress from practicing consistently.
Gaia also feels like an actual community, where people, not just the instructors, remember your name and you know a little bit about each other. It helps that at the beginning of each class people share good news. At first it was a little odd and funny, but the longer I was there, the nicer I found this part of the practice. I’ve been to lots of studios where only a handful of students, typically registered yoga teachers or teacher trainees, get this level of community within the studio. This is not the case at Gaia, which is really impressive given how many students the teachers see at the three locations.
If you are looking for a yoga studio, rest assured you will not outgrow Gaia. This is a great place to settle into and learn in. Check it out and have fun!

The brand of Gaia Yoga is strongly influenced by its yoga instructor's. Yoga instructor Tanya Peale continues to implore her teachings day after day week after week year after year unnoticed. Her classes are the best kept secret to the success of Gaia Yoga and its three locations.

I was a regular at this studio, back in 2013-2016. I stopped coming and recently relocated back to the area have been coming back to the studio.
A few things have changed in the years since, and I’ve been to other studios and I continue to be such a huge fan of this place.
It has such a homey feel to it, the instructors are always providing options for all levels and bring in a good sweat, work out for every class I take.
The room temp is juuuust right, not suffocatingly hot, but you get a decent sweat. The class types for beginners are Gentle Waves & Desert and I appreciate the opportunity to modify bc as much as I used to be a yogi, im definitely not where I used to be and have been way out of shape.
Most of 2024 I’ve been dealing with a back pain/disc issue which has brought intermittent pain, and yoga has provided me a sense of stability and relief to manage the pain, while practicing a safe practice and getting a good workout while I get back to weight training. I’m incredibly thankful for Gaia Flow and the instructors for providing that. Thank you Tanya, Ashley, Lainie & Chelsea whose classes I’ve taken more regularly when I can 🙂.
A couple nice to haves, if I were to wave a magic wand - I use Classpass mainly, because the class schedule is hard for me to go more regularly for a membership again. I’d love more weekend class times between the 10:30/6pm classes or even a 7am class time during the week so I can go before work. I don’t feel ready for the Ocean/Mountain which would open up that availability, and I don’t practice enough (2x a week) to advance.
Back in the day towels used to be provided, that was nice, and there used to be this peppermint lotion that the instructors would massage into your neck post practice and it was the most *amazing* reward after a tough practice. Oh man do I miss that. I think about it every time we go to Shavasanah 😂
I’m sure Covid/comfortability has a lot to do with that, but if that could come back please haha!
Again not deal breakers at all just things I would love.
Overall this is a beautiful studio and I’m very happy to be back.

I am absolutely in love with my yoga studio! It’s the perfect blend of coziness and positive vibes. The small and intimate setting creates a sense of community that’s truly heartwarming. One of the standout features is the array of amazing teachers who bring their unique styles and expertise to the mat. This diversity keeps every session exciting and fresh.
Walking into the studio feels like coming home. The welcoming atmosphere, both from the teachers and fellow students, instantly puts you at ease. I can’t help but smile when I’m there. The best part? It’s the least intimidating place I’ve ever practiced yoga. There’s no pressure, no judgment—just encouragement and support to be your best self.
Every time I leave a session, I feel like a new person. The combination of the great energy and the fantastic teachings leaves me feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and ready to take on the world. If you’re looking for a yoga studio that feels like a sanctuary and leaves you with a positive mood, this is the place for you. It’s more than just a studio; it’s a haven of well-being and positivity.

Gaia offers a flexible schedule catering to all levels of the yogi practice. The practice treats mental, spiritual, and physical health equally which I find very important. The teachers make yogi's feel welcome and comfortable, while knowing how to push each yogi to their individual potential.

Edit: I've been back multiple times for classes with multiple instructors and I consistently leave feeling like I was challenged and had a great workout, but also relaxed and more connected to myself. The vibes in this studio are warm and friendly and welcoming. This is my favorite yoga studio of all the places that I have done yoga.
Meg leads a challenging but relaxing hot yoga class. Lots of static holds and deep stretches, doable for a beginner but also good for more advanced students. No inversions. Meg provided a peppermint oil neck rub at the end.
The atmosphere in this gym is welcoming and warm, and felt respectful of yoga practice. Mats and blocks are provided. Towels can be rented for $1. There are small cubbies for storing items like shoes and a rack to hang jackets.
It gets super hot so bring plenty of water and dress accordingly.

I seriously LOVE this place! My favorite yoga studio hands down. I've tried them all in the area and nothing compares to Gaia. Every instructor, every class is seriously amazing! I haven't had a bad class or bad instructor yet. The temperature is perfect - I'm weird about that too. Everybody is so welcoming, and I love the variety of classes they provide serves all types of yogis! If you want a serious, fun, workout try the kitchen sink weekend warrior, it's the last week of the month on Saturdays! I was sore for 3 days straight!!!And the best part? They give you a little shoulder massage after EVERY SINGLE PRACTICE!! They use this peppermint amazingness lotion and every time I smell it afterwards it reminds me of my practice and what I left on the mat. This is a long review but it's all so true! Lol come check it out, you'll be in for a treat! :)

Just finished up my first week and I must say-
Gaia Flow Yoga is a life changing environment and practice. The teachers are incredibly well trained and humble, often times sharing their current experience as students and teachers of yoga with their classes.
Classes range from gentle and restorative to active and challenging, what I appreciate most is that Gaia Flow teaches different postures and sequences with the different classes. The teachers and philosophy acknowledge that life is constantly changing and shifting and this is reflected in the diversity of classes- appropriately so.
Most importantly Gaia Flow will help you to recognize your own potential, physically, mentally, or otherwise and it will force you to remember to breathe. There is nothing too extremely mystical about the lesson, but emphasis on following the connection between breath and movement, in a subtle or intense posture, leads you back to the most basic function of your body. Very useful for life.
Overall a wonderfully enriching experience. A gem for anyone seeking to grow and an oasis for those who need respite.
