Absolutely love this place! It's definitely a gem of a gym— amazing value, tons of equipment, and the friendliest staff who make you feel like you’ve been part of the gym since day one. I’ve been coming for ~4 months now and I’m still impressed every single visit. They keep everything so clean and cared for, and even when something’s down, there’s a little note and it’s fixed before you even miss it. Grateful to have found this place!

A hidden gem in Pearland, Galaxy Fitness is so much more than a gym.

Leaving Galaxy Fitness is one of the hardest parts about my move across the city. This place has been more than just where I worked out, it’s been a second home, a community, and a place where I felt truly seen and supported.

What makes Galaxy Fitness so special is that it gives you all the benefits of a commercial gym, top-notch equipment, a wide variety of classes, and space to train however you like, but with the warmth and intimacy of a small, close-knit community. It’s rare to find a gym where the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by name and genuinely cared for, but that’s exactly what you’ll find here.

The trainers, Kirby and Jeremiah, are absolutely incredible. Not only are they knowledgeable and motivating, but they also take the time to get to know your goals, your limits, and your potential. Their dedication and energy are contagious, and they’ve helped me grow both physically and mentally in ways I didn’t think were possible.

But what truly sets Galaxy apart are the owners. They’re not just names on a lease, they’re present, approachable, and deeply invested in every member's experience. They actively seek out feedback, genuinely listen, and continuously improve the gym based on what the community needs. You can tell they love this place and the people in it. It feels more like being part of a family than just a membership.

Been one of my favorite gym memberships to have. Cost is definitely worth it! Never have had an issue with broken down equipment and it's a huge plus they're constantly keeping cleaning wipes in supply. Friendly staff and great clientele as well. Love this gym it’s my first day here got a tour which was great to get to know the place. Just got back to working out after a year of nothing. Been looking for gyms close to my home with bars that have enough space from the roof to push yourself doing a muscle up without bumping your head. Well right here is the perfect place for that. Got a long way to be able to do muscle ups but I’ll get there.

I just became a member yesterday, got a tour today from Hailey, (spelling?), and have to say I am quite impressed after having to deal with the children they would hire at the most recent gym I was a member at. Can't wait to fully incorporate all the equipment into my workout routine starting tomorrow.

(Also, check out the gym's Google review responses to the unfair and biased negative feedback they've received so far: they're hilarious and on point!

And for all the haters complaining about a "lack" of TV's for watching while on cardio equipment, you know that cellphones can serve as TV's in a pinch...right? Just saying.)

UPDATE: 06/23/2025
Had an interaction with what could only be described as a bully on steroids, literally. I was just walking on the treadmill and in walks black couple chose to walk on treadmills next to me, which is their right, and so on and so on. Then, they began to be loud with their conversation so I put the volume up on my AirPods. Apparently he noticed, and shouted at me, "Am I bothering you?" I was startled, but I played Childish Gambino's, "This is America" as loud as my AirPods would let me in counter. I think he could hear it because then he began to crack his knuckles, stretch aggressively, if there is such a thing, and so on while continuing to walk on the treadmill. I just finished my 30 minutes of warm up, and left the gym because by the time I left he was shadow boxing in the mirror, etc. I carry mace and would have used it but I didn't feel like "making a scene." I left Planet Fitness for BS like this. Is it time to find another gym?

UPDATE: 06/24/2025
I was contacted by the management of Galaxy Fitness. What I really thought spoke volumes about our exchange was that they had already done the leg work of looking at the cameras to see the exchange that I described above in action. After my conversation with the co-managers, I truly feel like they were sad that such a situation would happen at their gym and that they want everyone to feel included and empowered at Galaxy Fitness. They handled this very professionally and I've decided I'm sticking around. I want to thank the Galaxy Fitness crew for contacting me and taking this issue so seriously.

UPDATE: 07/06/2025
Finally worked up the courage to go to the gym again today. I know, first world problem. Login system was down, so no time stamp, but look around 4:30pm. This time bullies to the left and right of me on treadmills. Bullying was not as obvious as the first time: shining the reflections of their cellphones into my eyes by the time they were both on their treadmills. So I tried to intimidate them in my own way. Your pricey fees don't warrant this kind of behavior from other members. If you all (management) can't keep a cap on your member's social skills, i.e., playing nice, this current member is out. Just sayin'. Later.

I have been a member for 15 years since the Body Evolution days. Galaxy Fitness: Please open longer on the weekends. This is when your clientele have time to workout and a 8pm closing time hurts customers. Please change the outside window covers and upgrade the cracked photos which are peeling. Please offer Zumba weekly and spin class weekly- why let the bikes sit unused. Please make the smoothie station workable/working and not just a dust collector. Love the gym but so much could be improved for your loyal customers. Thank you.

I have to speak up after being told there were complaints about the amount of weight I was using on a sled which proceeded the following feedback.

The fact that you referenced a conversation we had in the parking lot of an apartment complex off the grounds of your gym where I shared with you that everytime I start repping 1,000+ lbs in a gym people get weird about me being in the gym with them.

Every gym where I’ve loaded more than 1,100 lbs on any machine or sled and started repping to perform my conditioning there begins a problem set with people claiming to be uncomfortable with the force and power I generate in my workouts.

At no time during my training was I told that we could practice the martial art known as Wing Chun which is traditionally practiced on a wooden dummy, I prefer metal as it hardens my body for combat training.

I was never told I could not practice Wing Chun martial arts using the metal as I had done it dozens of times before in the gym with no problem or prior warning.

As to the issue of the metal pole, I was performing a sports science demonstration of how much harder I strike than a metal pole as I’ve been told I have sledgehammer hands from years of Special Forces training.

I did ask the front desk person if it was ok to demonstrate how much harder my hands are than metal using the metal pole for comparison.

My hands are far harder and explosive at the point of attack than any metal pole could be swung.

My training methods are unorthodox after years of training with Special Forces in the deserts of Arizona.

It was not my intention to frighten your staff while training martial arts concepts and demonstrating the explosion and power of my close range strike force.

I hope you can understand that after receiving no guidance that I was not to practice martial arts or striking of the bag with my hands which are far harder than the metal pole, that I had no idea I was doing anything wrong.

The bathrooms at Galaxy Fitness are disgusting, there was literal feces on the floor of the women’s restroom for over a month with nothing done about it. Equipment is left unsecured and poorly maintained.

And instead of taking feedback seriously, the management does what they do best: deflect, deny, and retaliate. After posting my original review, they replied by publicly smearing my boyfriend who wasn’t even the one who wrote it and disclosed personal information about him. That’s not just petty, it’s unprofessional. If you're wondering what kind of leadership runs this gym, that should tell you everything.

They claimed he was banned for “safety issues,” but let’s be real if safety was truly a priority, there wouldn’t be poop on the restroom floor or loose equipment. And calling someone out publicly because you didn’t like a bad review? That’s not leadership, that’s a temper tantrum and deflection.

Also, to clear up some of their misleading “facts”:

- They say the gym has only been open for 2 years — yet it’s the same facility that used to operate as Body Evolution. A rebrand doesn’t erase a timeline.
- They claim there’s “no tall African American trainer” - check your cameras since you enjoy doing that. Gaslighting your customers isn’t a good look.

If they truly cared about community and respect, they wouldn’t respond to valid criticism with personal attacks.

This gym is overcrowded, full of wannabe influencers taking up space to record content, and has a weird, superiority-complex culture that makes the place feel less like a fitness community and more like an ego playground for underqualified trainers.

Save yourself the time, money, and energy, there are plenty of better gyms in the area that don’t operate like a high school clique with a vendetta.

Sad to say the young man at the front desk during the week and the girl who used to be at the front desk Sunday mornings are great people, but quite frankly don't belong. They should go some where better too.

Galaxy is one of the best gym I’ve been to. The machines are clean and work wonderfully, as well as new machines arrive periodically. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. The members of the community are all so respectful as well. During peak hours, the gym doesn’t get as crowded as other gyms around Houston, which means no wait times for gym equipment. The amenities of the location are superb, there is even a suggestion box in the front desk in case anyone wants to recommend a change in the gym. Galaxy is the hidden gym in West Pearland. This gym is clean, the staff are always available and are courteous. It is not crowded and you can easily get on any of the machines. Overall, it’s a decent gym. I gave it a hard try, but it seems like this place is overpriced to make profit margins. The equipment feels suitable to work out BUT for $39.99 a month you might as well go to LA Fitness or somewhere else with more amenities and perks available. I rarely leave reviews but this one they deserve. You get what you pay for!!! I’ve seen some comments about membership pricing and add ons as someone who’s worked for corporate gyms smaller businesses have to charge more they don’t have as many members or a corporation backing them. Not only that you want quality staff and amenities to be able to give your guest a quality experience. If you want cheap in and out gym you’re better off at PF or 24hr. Trying to compare them is like comparing golds gym or a mini lifetime to planet fitness. This gym is phenomenal and that’s not an exaggeration the quality and standards for a good business and member experience are there and you see it when you visit. As a fellow gym goer who’s been to almost every corporate gym from golds to crunch to la to 24hr to blink to EOS to Alphaland but also someone who has worked for other gyms. This gym is doing things right. It’s ALWAYS clean. Staff is chill polite and friendly never had any issues and always feel welcome. People actually rerack their weights. Wipe down equipment. Some selectirized machines are a little worn but they work and they’re very obviously still cleaned. They have a SEPERATE Calisthenics room. A yard in the back. A terf. Spin classes yoga. Ample cardio equipment. Olympic squat rack two leg presses one of them actually can be switched to a hack squat machine. Trap bars. Core work benches. Every kinda bench you can think of basically. They even have lots of smaller gym gadgets like a heel incline for goblet squats. Bosu balls. Attachments for their land mine so you can hit back with it. Crowd wise I’ve never had to wait to use anything I’ve come at 10pm 3pm 4pm 8pm and even in the mornings. Right now it’s spring break and it’s still not crazy crowded. If it weren’t for the fact I’m moving in April I would’ve gotten a membership but I’ve gladly paid the month to month I don’t even care lol. Oh and they have a sauna massage chairs. By far the best gym in the area.

I waited so long to write this review because I wanted to keep this place a secret but I guess it's time!

I thoroughly love this gym. Before I joined, I went to a few local gyms looking for somewhere where I would feel comfortable and where I wouldn't have to change up my gym sets because of machines not being readily available and this is the place I chose. I've been coming to this gym for a year now and will continue to do so.

There is ALWAYS machines/weights available, and they're always adding more. I'm rarely if ever waiting on a specific machine to be free. The people are friendly, the staff is friendly. The cost is a bit higher than other gyms but I would rather pay a bit more to feel comfortable and have machines always available. The bathrooms are always clean, and of course, the machines being clean depend on the person before you (this is the same for any gym) but I've seen the staff wipe down machines routinely. I have memberships at another gym due to my travel but this is my home gym and I prefer it over the other.

I would like to 1st off state that I have been working out for about 8 years now and admittedly, I am a gym hopper, every couple months I switch gyms because I love changing up the scenery and trying out new equipment and meeting new people this gym is by far the best !

1st off this gym has every single type of equipment for powerlifters , athletes, body builders , cross fitters and calisthenics. The wide variety of choices of equipment and machinery adds a plethora of options and it is very easy for me to hit the same muscles/ movements with different machines and equipment. They also have every single kind of cable attachment you can think of for cable and pull down movements which you RARELY RARELY RARELY see at any gym!! Furthermore they’ve added multiple brand new machines since I’ve been a member and they are also adding a sauna which I am looking forward to using ! Also the turf is CLEAN the yoga room is CLEAN.

2nd the staff is very cleanly , kind , and interactive. They speak to everyone that enters the door and start conversations and answer any questions from the new gym equipment, to questions about payment options and give great tours. They also play pretty good and diverse music not the main stream crap you hear at 95% of gyms , they seem genuine and authentic and that is always a plus for any establishment! Also they must keep the gym clean because in every experience I never see trash anywhere , smell any funny smells , and they even rerack people’s weights for them if they forget to keep the gym looking organized .

3rd this gym and area is a GEM. This gym is in a nice safe part of town and you can park your car outside knowing it is safe , also the gym is never really packed and equipment is always open and you never have to wait .

4th recovery, this gym has multiple massage machines that you could use for HOURS if you wanted with plenty of different modes , and a variety of massage options for any body parts that might be hurting you.

My only singular complaint I have is that you can only buy day passes for “guest” so If you want to work out with a friend or spouse that does not have a membership you must pay 8 bucks everytime which is unfortunate I definitely think they should add a plan where you can pay more monthly and bring 1 guest any time you want . Also the gym is pricey at 50 bucks a month but I honestly believe it’s worth it because of the Safe area , the consistent cleanliness of the gym , and the fact they have a huge variety of equipment and have added multiple brand new pieces of equipment and 2 saunas in each bathroom for each Gender to ensure the integrity and privacy while using it ! This gym is a 10 out of 10 will definitely be sticking around for awhile !

As honest as I can be:
I came back after a break and I am still pretty disappointed. Don’t let these reviewers fool you: it’s not worth $50 a month. It’s still not a great gym. And I’m truly not hating just speaking out for the rest who feel the same way I do.
Here’s why:
Cons:
- The equipment isn’t as clean as you might think. It depends on whether the person actually working out wipes it afterward, but they usually don’t. It’s gross.
- there is no equipment maintenance. This isn’t planet fitness, you’re not paying $5/month so they don’t care. But HERE, you’re paying $48/month. Daily inspections my friend. Especially those benches.
- The grass area, I kid you not, has not been vacuumed. I doubt it ever is. It’s best if you don’t lay down there; the same goes for the other "Zen room." The least they could do is get a wet disinfectant cleaner and mop it everyday, but they won’t. It’s a risk for infections like a staph. Especially those yoga mats. You don’t know people’s hygiene routine. A Swiffer isn’t that expensive.
- The *new* sauna—guess what—probably can only fit 2 people. Why? People don’t want to sit next to each other in a hot, steamy sauna. It’s a sauna made for *personal* usage not made for a gym. Made a purchase mistake there.
- Water fountain. DO NOT DRINK IT. Do NOT. It reminds of a park fountain. It has that weird taste to it. Like Dasani, but a bit weird. Sadly they overcharge their drinks like Whole Foods.
- most of all you get this weird vibe. The tv has been playing the same thing, same rap playlist, same people everyday, the lighting- it’s Cool an all but I’m trying to hit PRs, but can’t cause the vibe isn’t there. Hence you don’t see new individuals. Make it motivating. Paint a picture or some. *Advertise* better. Imagine coming from WORK, to come here…it’s a like second shift. You get this cubicle vibe.
- I have more but will not say. Up to the staff to set up a meeting and talk about this madness of an overpriced gym. Changes need to be made.

Pros: What can make it worth $50/Month

- I kid you not, if you tare down a medium section of the wall, the wall where they have all the punching bag equipment and freely open it like alphaland has, you got yourself a point. What a boring door to the outside. Better off removing them. You literally have a bench in the middle of the gym. It’s getting less space. + you get sun lighting. Make changes. Part of the business.
- free water bottles. Gyms with $30 month give out free washed towels, why can we $50/month users get free water bottles? In substitution?
- unless you’re quality is up to the level of “lifetime fitness” which is not, remove the showers. They are gross. Never using them again.

Don’t report or delete my review. This is a learning curve. I will delete once it gets better. But as of now, lower the monthly price to $15 or $20/month. The people deserve the reality of a good honest review and the price of the gym is truly unfair especially in this economy where people are paying high rent for low quality living spaces. Don’t think about it. Change. Plus side this gym is better than Dynamic fitness. Don’t go there.

This gym is great! One thing that stands out is how clean it is, that’s important. On top of that Marybell is incredible! She takes care of the gym goers in the morning and is pleasant to talk with. The gym is usually not super crowded either. Can pretty much come in and do whatever workout you have planned for that day.

I joined this gym about a month ago after looking for something outside of the “popular” and overly crowded gym chains and I absolutely love it here. First of all - Marybell 🛎️ is seriously the best person ever! She’s a member of the staff and works at the front desk. I come in the mornings and see her bright and early EVERY day. I love this gym. If you’re looking for a gym that isn’t overly crowded, has great variety of group classes and updated equipment- this is your spot. I am a certified gym junkie and have had multiple gym memberships and this is by far my favorite 🤩 right now. It’s a wonderful atmosphere and very clean. They also have a zen room where you can step away into a calming atmosphere to unwind after a workout 🏋🏾‍♀️ or you can do you own personal workout there. Love this place.

Such a great gym. This place is perfect for younger professionals who don’t care for a crazy crowded gym and want a nice, clean, spot. High quality equipment, high quality staff. They have a “music board” where people can request diff types of songs and genres. Their app is user friendly where you can book classes, look up videos of diff workouts, and connect your Apple Watch! Also have a “zen zone” which is perfect for meditations/yoga/quiet workouts. A gym for any type of need. Highly recommend!

A whole new vibe. The change has been amazing to experience. The equipment gives a modern feeling yet the atmosphere is so modern. They have snacks as well and massage chairs. Great gym with lots of equipment, within walking distance of where I'm staying but only in town for a week so I've been using the 3 day gym passes. Only downside is that the day passes is for consecutive days only but its cheap so if you don't use one it's not an issue.

This gym is the best in the Pearland area. I have lived here for 6 years and have waited for a gym that can cater to all areas of fitness. The amount of equipment Galaxy Fitness has to offer is the best in the area. If you're into strength training they have deadlift bars, power bars, bumper plates, multiple bench's, multiple areas to squat and a deadlift platform. They have a hip thrust machine, hack squat and multiple cables, machines and dumbbells.
Their functional fitness area is huge, multiple punching bags, boxes for box jumps, they have kettlebells, battle ropes and a sled to push.
The most diverse cardio equipment in the area, stair master, assault bikes, rowers, different ellipticals, bikes and anti-gravity treadmills.
They offer spin, Zumba, yoga and Pilates all included in the membership.
The staff is so friendly and the gym is spacious and CLEAN! There are multiple areas with cleaning wipes and in tip-top shape.

WOW factors with every turn, and a fitness experience like no other! It was my first time visiting and I was provided with such a detailed, patient tour by the kindest staff members. By this encounter I was easily able to differentiate between the small business personalized experience in comparison to the cookie cutter corporate experience. This definitely goes a long way and it will set them up for long term clientele. The studio was incredibly spacious and it had all the amenities you would dream of and beyond, including fancy MASSAGE CHAIRS that is available for all members!! They also offer classes such as Zumba, cycling and pilates and a zen room for those who want some undisturbed work out time. The whole experience is so well thought out and accommodating for all guests. Looking forward to my membership here. All the good wishes and success to the Galaxy team!!!!

If I could give 6 stars I would, the owner is there from like 2am to close, he puts everything he has into the gym and is always available and is very responsive to any problems! Just there to workout? They’ve got everything including a HIT area! You a boxer, there’s boxing gear! You got sore muscles, there’s a massage chair! You want to take a shower, there’s a shower with amazing water pressure btw! Once they get enough members there will also be a smoothie bar! So cancel you anytime fitness membership and book it at full speed to galaxy fitness! If you don’t you’re just being ignorant!

Nice clean gym close to home so it’s easy to get a quick workout in. They have plenty of space and equipment but some equipment is worn/old and doesn’t work that great. The 5am work crew is awesome- always happy and positive energy! They also offer group clases (yoga, cycling, Zumba and cycle) but I haven’t been able to make a class. Overall, it’s a good spot and happy with my experiences so far.
