I started trainings with Jamie in October of 2020 after hearing from a friend about him. I was looking for someone who can help me prepare for college ball in the spring. I went into the first session excited to see what he will have me do. From the get go, he put me through a series of workouts that focused on explosion, speed, and conditioning. I could definitely tell he knew what he was doing. After a week of everyday training, I could already feel me become more powerful and saw results fast. We trained in both his weight room as well as on the tracks to get some sprints in. He knows how to push you to get better and to have a mindset where everyday is an opportunity to better yourself. I now can say I am season ready and would definitely recommend GB2 as your next personal training program. He’ll get you right.

Coach Jamie Beamish holds a Master of Science in Kinesiology and Sport Performance and has been CSCS certified for several years. His ever-expanding knowledge, experience and friendly/motivational personality proves ideal in mapping out and executing anyone's unique fitness goals.

The GB2 team tailors fitness plans specific to an individual's circumstances/goals and provides both in-person, remote and hybrid options. For at-home workouts, the team's developed a seamless app with step-by-step instructional videos where users can track their progress/weights from one workout to the next.

I'm a 30 year old male working on developing a physique capable of extending my storied intramural soccer career and when I tore my MCL recently, Jamie seamlessly adjusted my workout plan to accommodate the injury. There's no guesswork in what he programs. Everything he programs is based on the science journals he regularly reviews/researches in addition to his wealth of accumulated knowledge through his Master's education and experience in the field.

When I first starting training with Jamie about 3 months ago, my goal was simply to get in better shape cardio-wise and strength-wise in order to perform better on the soccer field and to lose weight. Three months in, I can truly, honestly say that it's been worth every penny to work with Jamie. I've already received multiple comments on how my physique has slimmed down and I feel better than I have in years. When I'm out on the pitch, I can tell immediately that the work we have out in on the gym and on the track has carried over to live-action gameplay - I feel much more explosive and quick out there and as a consequence, my confidence level has risen exponentially on the field, allowing me to play in a way that I haven't felt since I was in college. One of the many reasons why Jamie is so good at what he does is that he sits down with you before you even have your first training session and asks what you are hoping to get out of the training. While many other trainers may ask you that same question, what makes Jamie stand out from the others is that he takes your desires and creates a personalized training regimen that will put you on track to meet your goals - there is no "one size fits all" approach with him. Jamie's always available to answer any questions or concernsthat you have - even outside of training sessions. When he takes you on as a client, he makes you feel as if you're his number one client - you don't feel like just another number, like I have with other personal trainers before. Whenever I have a friend who is looking to improve their health and fitness, Jamie's the first person that comes to mind. I can't recommend him enough!

TrainGB2 have been helping me with my training for many months now and I can honestly say I am the fittest and strongest I have ever been. I feel like the years of training without a real purpose have been wasted. If only I’d known about them sooner! Both Jamie and Nick are incredible knowledgeable and break things down so even a novice can understand. I started training with Jamie and GB2 towards the end of December of 2020 as I looked for someone to help me prepare for my upcoming NAIA D1 soccer season. Upon contacting Jamie he asked me what my goals for the season were, and what I hoped to get out of the training, and immediately set up a game plan to make me stronger and faster.
As far as the actual training goes, it’s nothing short of what I expected. My whole body was put to the test every day, and we targeted the muscles I would need to strengthen to directly translate to faster movements on the soccer field. Although I had experience in the gym, Jamie helped me fix my form on many exercises I thought I already knew how to do, allowing me to do them better, put on more weight, and prevent injury.
Overall, it’s easy to say that i’m much stronger and faster then when I started back in December— no question about it. I even went into training with a Grade 1 hamstring strain and Jamie found a way to strengthen the surrounding muscles without putting too much workload on it and actually helped me speed up my recovery. By the time my hamstring recovered it was stronger and so were the muscles around it. If you’re thinking about booking with Jamie and GB2– it’s a no brainer. He will make you a better athlete then when you walked in. The only question you’ll be asking yourself is if you should book more training sessions with them. (The answer is yes by the way).

When I first started with Jamie & GB2 training back in December of last year, the plan was to get me prepared and physically ready for my trip to Sweden for trial to play soccer in Europe.
I was very excited to start with them because I already had a little bit of experience with them and the type of training that they do just from joining in on a teammates plyometric session they would do after our team practice sessions. Looking back to where I started and where I am now I feel so much stronger and faster then I did before. And the one of best things that I love about working with them is they want to ensure you have proper form and technique with everything that you do.
The biggest achievement for me personally was fixing my squat technique which allowed me get stronger much faster.
Whether you’re trying to get in shape for a marathon or collegiate Basketball or just everyday life GB2 will make sure you walk away better then you did when you started.
