Great experience with Get You in Shape! Was looking to add more cardio and strength training workouts to my routine and these trainers deliver! The workouts are tough, but the participants are a wide range of abilities and the trainers do a good job of encouraging modifications where needed and pushing you to challenge yourself. Brad is diligent at holding members accountable to their goals and encouraging you to reach them! Recommend if you're looking for the jump start you need!

This is a great program, and it has convenient workouts for busy professionals. I began with the online version 12 week program. I have lost weight and gained muscle through the program's simple approach to diet and excercise. I am now able to fit into my clothes that had been increasingly tight over the years.
Brad cuts through all the "noise" out there and makes fitness easily understandable. I feel so much better and have better habits because of the program.
My only regret is not doing this sooner.

I joined GYIS because I realized I was losing muscle strength and flexibility on top of starting having undesirable scores in my annual checkups. And my frequent travels were the perfect excuse not to do something consistently.
The starter 12-week program has allowed me to regain some muscle strength and flexibility while shedding some pounds (9 so far). The fact that it is a simple plan to follow and that there are videos to do the daily workouts, no matter where I am, was a big selling point, and coach Brad has been on my toes providing me support and accountability throughout the process.
I am continuing with the program with the goal to bring my checkup results to a more desirable level and be a bit stronger.

I started attending to lose weight and planned to stay just a few months to get better habits then go back to working out on my own. Over 9 years later I am still a member. I stayed for the accountability, the trainers, the people I work out with (those are the top 3). There are 5 class times so it is flexible, and if those still don't work there is a virtual option that is also great for traveling. It is the BEST workout environment - and I have tried quite a few.

After struggling to lose weight the last few years, I was intrigued by Brad’s email about a new program being offered by Get You in Shape. Since I hadn’t been successful on my own, I decided to sign up for the eight week program. I liked the informative daily lessons which included on-line workouts and encouragement, as well as nutrition information and links to recipes. Following the FAT Method was not difficult and I was able to lose 15 pounds and 11 inches during the eight weeks. Love this group! Seriously! Sure I’m a client but the experience, compassion and help I have received really helps me stay motivated, committed and accountable, I’d recommend this even if I was t a client. I started with GYIS after recovering from a total hip replacement. Attending the in-person bootcamps, I love that everyone is at different levels. The first week, I struggled with transitioning to the ground and back and could only do push-ups against my vehicle. 6 weeks later, I have lost nearly ten pounds, can transition easily and can actually do a few push-ups on my knees!

I love the amount of information shared with me. From the grocery lists to the recipes to the suggested menus to the recommended items from each food group. Every one of the recipes we’ve made taste really good and we know we’re eating clean! The accountability systems keep us honest and like Brad says, just follow the darn instructions. I’m down 14lbs after 6 weeks and I’ve lost 3.75 inches on my waist! The classes are challenging but everyone can go at their own pace. This is a great program for people at all stages of life!

I participated in the 28 day kickstart program. This provides workout sessions, meal plans and accountability coaching to get you started on the right path. The workout sessions are a great combination of cardio and strength training. It keeps you moving around to different areas so your mind is occupied and your hour work-out is done before you know it!! GYIS is unique to other programs, and I love it! You learn to use our own body resistance that is useful especially when traveling or just at home when not at GYIS ;-). We learn to use our environment as tools for working out as well; we are outside using the park and teaming up for stations; there is a great variety where every workout is different; we don’t get stuck in a routine using the same machines in a gym (you don’t have to wait for a machine); and the program also gives you a sense of community and connects you with so many other friendly people who want to share in the workout fun and who are wonderfully supportive! One of the best features to the program is the team of trainers, who are there for everyone, no matter your age and at any pace. I had never had this much fun trying something in groups & challenging myself. If it weren’t fun, I wouldn’t do it!

Not only do you get the amazing benefit of wonderful personal trainers knowing how to help you get the most benefit from the time you are there, but you also have fellow boot campers who are there to encourage and lift you up, no matter what session you attend..which brings me to another amazing point: the multitude of times on Monday, Wednesday and Friday you can go, with 6 different time options on Monday and Wednesday and 5 different options on Fridays, it's nearly impossible to find a reason not to go.
Get You In Shape is more than just a boot camp; it's a family. I've never left any session I've attended feeling like I didn't get something out of it, both body and soul. This is a place for someone who is just starting their fitness journey or for someone who has been on the journey for many, many years. It says a LOT that I never dread going because I know there will always be someone else there to lift up and encourage the group and make it a successful workout.

Where to start...how about it's the best thing I have ever done for myself in 60 years. Not a "Give me one more, Maggot" boot camp. All activities are flexible to your personal level of fitness. Top 3 things I love about Get You In Shape:
1. Outdoors - it is held outside. There is no cramped fitness room where you have to find a spot or limited to where you can workout. The whole park is used. There are sometimes when we have to go inside the CORE (too cold).
2. Trainers - they encourage and supportive. They each write a month of workouts which guarantees no workout will be the same. They modify exercise to your needs and fitness level. They not only show you proper form but provide nutrition advice as well as advice on recovery from injuries.
3. Community - everyone is on the same journey to better health and fitness together. There are a wide range of fitness levels and no one judges you. I am competitive and compare myself to others and use that to push myself more. There are some of us that like to do races and tris. We tend to ride to the races together and cheer each other on. It is such a great community.

I was trying to do it on my own all this time and failing miserably. I joined GYIS in September and can't believe how much I enjoy and look forward to the boot camp even at 5:30 am in this beautiful 30 degree weather.. My husband can't believe I have actually stuck to a program this time unlike in the past when I would start things with great gusto and then lose interest. GYIS is worth checking out. My wife has been doing this for five years and finally convinced me to go with her. I was very skeptical about results and did not want someone telling me what to do. However after two months I have found that it is the group experience that helps support you to reach your goals, even if you are the last one back from a run or the first. Also the trainers are very well educated and encouraging to push you harder without shouting at you. I have not lost any pounds yet in two months(did go through Christmas without gaining anything though) but I feel better and can tell that my muscles are becoming stronger. Thanks GYIS!

I have now been attending GYIS for 1.5 years and it is a wonderful community of great people, both trainers and participants, that work toward a common goal. I lost 33 lbs in my first year and though I've slipped up during the holidays I know working out at GYIS and getting back to a better diet will have the few extra pounds off in no time. My goal is to lose a total of 43 lbs from the time I started until my 2nd year anniversary and with GYIS I'm confident I'll get there.
