Great gym with an energetic vibe and helpful staff!

Gold’s Gym Hesters Crossing has an excellent mix of equipment, space, and atmosphere. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and never feels overcrowded, even during peak hours. Special callout to James, Michael, and Marcos for being warm, friendly, and incredibly supportive — really appreciate the positive energy they bring every day. The equipment variety is top-notch, parking is easy, and the location is super convenient.

Went to try out this location and I don't think I will be coming back. It seems like an older location that used to have a lot of amenities but they are all just shut down now? Having a pool to use would be awesome if it were open. The layout of the ladies locker room is weird. Machines are old or out of order. I was looking for the sauna and it's out of a weird back door, down a hallway behind both locker rooms. The knob for temperature was broken off, light broken inside and was not warm. I'm used to the separate gender saunas at all the other golds. They expect women to sit in a mixed gender sauna that was pitch black, down a sketchy little hallway, and where you can't see anyone else in the gym... no thanks!

I travel a lot of work so finding a gym that's going to be close to me and convenient is challenging. I attempted to do a trial membership in the area where I worked but because it wasn't local to my original area I couldn't use it. Since I've returned home I went to a local gym and couldn't try out the gym because of the previous attempt. The guy at the counter was unwelcoming. I'm not mad about the situation but more so the way he acted. I think it could have easily been resolved but the type of man he appeared to be I decided to try a different gym. I'm not using this location (gold's gym at hesters crossing) or even this franchise after my experience today. If you have a good experience there then that's awesome but if not be empowered and take your money elsewhere.

Canceling is hectic. Make sure you get details on this process before signing up. You HAVE TO go in person to cancel. There is no other option! Oh yes and make sure you give a 30-day notice or they will charge you for the next billing cycle and if you’re annual fee is due at that time, they will charge for that as well. A suggestion- employees should be trained to throughly explain the cancellation policy at the time of signing up, so that members whom have the right to cancel can make an informed decision. Glad I know this so I can tell my friends who religiously utilize Golds Gym and they are informed.

I was an avid gym goer for the past 3 years. Without missing one payment prior till then. My card got hacked 3 times in 2 months. I tried contacting the gym and explaining the situation and when I would be receiving my new card. I was hit with gym fees and late payment for my son and myself. Then I decided to cancel and was charged for another month and then hit with a late fee for that month too. In total I was charged for 3 months for 2 people and hit with 6 late fee payments. Even though I offered to pay the 3 months if they removed all late fees and they said NO. Now I'm receiving collection notice for me and my 13 yr old son. Like seriously you sent a 13 yr old to collects.

After 3 long years you would think they would work with there LOYAL Customer. Go find another gym. I used to love golds! Now it's all about the dollar and not about the person or family.

After many years of not going to this gym, I finally came back. Still had that same aura and great equipment but if you truly want to know what made this healing process so much better? He goes by the name of Marco. He was saying hello to everyone and cheered on anyone near him. My fav holds location. Always less crowded than others and not too long of a wait for squat racks. There’s no pool but there is a busy mixed gender sauna that’s always on. The showers are decent and they often have clearance apparel not seen at other locations. I never use the female side but there’s even more equipment there. Although I will mention there is one couple in particular I have seen time after time will use the hip abduction machine for like 30 minutes and is really annoying. All the other equipment is readily available and in convenient locations. They even have a cinema studio for biking and watching movies. Staff is friendly and it’s a stress free place to get workouts in!

Tough news but I wrestled with this as I know Gold’s Gym has been around for some time. But, I just can’t recommend. The equipment is old and everything looks fairly run down.
I signed up for basketball and came here after the Cedar Park location shut down but this location is even rougher than Cedar Park and I thought it was going to be fairly decent.

Wish Gold’s would invest a bit more into their facilities as it def shows the disadvantages and some neglects of some newer stuff that other gyms offer for same or a little bit more in price. I’m cancelling my membership unfortunately and wish the gym success. I hope to come back when things change a bit more in quality and customer service.

Signed up online for a 12month membership about 5 months ago, particularly to use the sauna and pool. When I came in after signing up I saw that the pool and sauna weren’t working. It’s been 5 months and no news or progress of when it will be fixed. When I asked if I could get out of my contract since the amenities haven’t worked my entire membership, the front desk attendant did nothing but repeatedly tell me it was my fault for signing the contract.

The rest of the free weight equipment is old, dumbbells are coming apart. This location should be shut down as it’s beneath the standard of other golds gyms. Sign up at Crunch Gym down the street, way less expensive and better equipment.

I was denied a free guest pass so I could try out this gym. I was told to pay $15 to try the gym out for the day, even after filling out the guest pass online. This Gold's Gym is amazing! I've been going since July, and I honestly feel like it has contributed a lot to my fitness success. Lauren is AMAZING. She's the one who showed my fiance and I around, and I've continued personal training with her. She is so positive and motivating, and I feel blessed to have someone like that in my corner.

All the staff are super friendly and welcoming. But it's not just them - the actual gym goers are also amazing. I was really worried being a bigger person to experience some kind of negativity, but everyone has been so kind and welcoming! I've had several folks give me fist bumps and encouraging me to keep going and keep working. It's just good vibes all around.

This Gold's also has the separate Lady Gold's room, and I really appreciate that. It's quiet, and I don't have to feel as self-conscious as I do when I am out on the regular floor.

Overall, I think this gym is amazing and highly recommend it for anyone looking for a gym in the Round Rock area!

Good assortment of machines for both upper and lower body work. Plenty of cardio equipment including stair climbers - which I appreciate. Free weight section is great. Dressing rooms and the gym floor are kept clean. Only issue for me is the volume of the music in the main workout space. It's really loud compared to every other gym I've been in. The level is fine for Crossfit areas, but not the general workout area where most people are trying to listen to their own music/podcasts and don't want to be forced to jack up their volume on their device. Not good for our ears. Otherwise, a very good gym to get in a great workout.

The first week, no issues; Enjoyed the layout and good vibes. Unfortunately, the GM there , Ofibio Vilareya, decided it was okay to increase the volume of the overhead music one afternoon. It was so loud I could hear it through my headset. I approached him and asked if they could turn it down. He responded with a very curt and dry answer: "That's the lowest it goes."

Which of course is not true. Anyone that has ever had an audio system knows there is always a way to regulate the volume. This was not a courteous or professional way to respond to a paying customer.
This is one of those cases where the Manager thinks they own the place and their ego is too big to have a meaningful conversation or to maybe compromise a bit. I'm sure he will respond by saying there is a set level they leave it ..blah blah..at but the truth is he lost a customer for being rude and defensive when all he had to do is say, "let me see what I can do." It's too bad because his one critical job there is customer experience and he flat-out failed at that. I immediately asked for a cancellation form. This is not the person you want at the head of your gym.

I recently signed up for Gold's Gym and overall I am satisfied with the facilities and equipment. However, I am disappointed to report that their Wi-Fi has not been working properly for over a month now. As someone who likes to listen to music or watch videos while working out, this has been a major inconvenience. It's frustrating to constantly lose connection and not be able to access the internet. I hope the gym will address this issue soon. If you are someone who values having reliable Wi-Fi while working out, I would suggest being aware of this issue before signing up. Overall, I would give Gold's Gym a 3.5 star review due to this ongoing problem.

If not address, canceling membership.

Been going to this gym for a while now. It’s ok besides the older equipment and the lack of another deadlift platform. If you want to see one person hog the only deadlift platform for your entire workout or use squat racks to do hip thrusts then come here. People love to use the limited amount of squat racks and the only deadlift platforms to do exercises they could do in other places. Also the recent tornado incident irritated me pretty badly. I grew up in north Texas where tornadoes are far more common so I know how they work. It’s not always just a one and done situation with them. They change directions and do unpredictable things. The recent tornado went literally right past the gym while I and many other people were here. No one warned anyone and the staff didn’t tell us to get in the locker rooms or anything like that. Then not even 5 minutes after the tornado was “gone” we were forced out of the gym. The next day when I confronted the GM about it he said to me “This is not a storm shelter, sir”. Are you kidding me? Being inside any building is better than being outside in a tornado.

If you are considering signing up for a Gold's Gym membership, consider this:

I recently went to the Gold's Gym Tech Ridge location and signed up for a MONTH TO MONTH, cancel anytime membership, that is ONLY GOOD FOR THE TECH RIDGE LOCATION. (A location I've worked out at for nearly 4 years but recently cancelled my membership due to shoulder surgery)

A month or two after I sign up for my MONTH TO MONTH membership, Tech Ridge location CLOSES DOWN without giving me any kind of notice. As I arrived to the closed down gym, I read a note on the door saying that our memberships have not been automatically cancelled but rather they have been UPGRADED without our permission. This violates our legal contractual agreement of a month to month, cancel anytime membership for a specific location. I tried to call and cancel at the Hester's crossing location but they said I have to come in, in person. So I go in person and they charge me for another month at a location that I didn't sign a membership agreement for.

Its bad enough to fail as a business, but to screw over the very customers that kept you afloat the entire time is just the final nail in the coffin for Gold's Gym. Consider going elsewhere for your gym membership if you want to avoid the headache.

Came to get a early workout in because it’s the only time of day I can just to show up to locked doors! It’s 8:41 and the gym was supposed to be open at 7am.There’s at least 20 people out here waiting to workout!

I love this location. There are TONS of machines and the locker rooms are always clean. It's never TOO busy to get a good workout in, even after work! Now that the location in Georgetown is no longer there, this is our home gym.

I had to put in a cancellation of my membership it bothered me so much I love to workout and I enjoyed the gym employees up until a 06/2021 I started being stalked by law enforcement and I reached out Golds Gym corporate who never reached back to me. I really enjoyed the guys who use to work at the front desk those guys were very nice and polite men I felt welcomed it was different then the Gold Gym in Pflugerville, Pflugerville Gold Gym is super racist the Golds Gym in Round Rock made me feel welcomed but that ended when Law Enforcement started to harass me all because the color of my skin and all of a sudden not again with racist people I stop being looked as a member and started being looked at like criminal I wish the guys at the front desk would have never left but for health reasons I decided to cancel my membership today thanks to local law enforcement who feels they have the power to treat a Hebrew man any kind of way.

Don’t sign up for a membership unless you want to be stuck in an agreement FOREVER.

The only option to cancel when we are in Stage 5 COVID restrictions is to “come in person.”

Gold’s Gym has no desire to maintain the health or safety of its patrons.

They only care about being able to extract their monthly membership fee from your account every month.

They are contributing to problem like all the other predatory mega corporations feeding off the hard working American people.

It’s 2022. There’s no reason the cancellation process shouldn’t be simpler.

There’s no reason it can’t be done online or even with an e-signature app.

There’s no reason for this behavior other than they want to keep you stuck paying for something you don’t want and don’t need.

I think this is unfair and predatory. This is wrong. It’s shameful. It’s disgusting.

This is your warning. Don’t sign up and be stuck fighting them. It’s not worth it. Your sanity is worth more.

Clean gym. Friendly and helpful staff. Need to play different music. Older folks don't like rap, don't like headphones. Younger people ALWAYS have their headphones in, so they aren't listening to your music. Also volume in locker room is WAY TO LOUD!!!!! Remember us older folks pay same price as younger ones and NEED TO BE LISTENED TO AND SATISFIED!

I got this membership as a side-gym and not my main gym because my SO goes to this one. I've been a Gold's Gym member before but the staff here are great. I've gotten two calls from them to check in on me. NOT TO SELL PERSONAL TRAINING, but to see if there is anything they could do to be better or if there are any problems going on. That's some good customer service and, so far, has been the only time this has happened to me. Great people and also great leg press and seated calf raise machines. They could use more weightlifting platforms though.

The front desk employees are very nice and give a warm welcome. I enjoyed my workout and will visit, again. I was very impressed with this location. It has a punching bag and basketball court. It has other equipment too, but I was looking for a location with a punching bag and basketball court.

I am very excited about having the membership that allows me to go to any gym.

Since the new ownership took over gold's Gym, this Hester's crossing location has become quite the mess. Maintenance has seemed to have fallen by the wayside, as machines are broken, and stay broken for extended periods of time. The mask mandate is all but gone, and most of the members don't wear masks, and aren't particularly good about wiping down equipment. While I realize that employees can only do so much, it doesn't seem like anybody is focusing on cleanliness, and making sure equipment is wiped down or things are sanitized. For a gym that isn't particularly busy it wouldn't be so bad, but even late at night this location is packed with people. I've seen too many people wipe their nose, only to go and rub their snotty hands all over a barbell or a bench without wiping it down. I've been at gold's for nearly 5 years, and this change in management has made it overly clear that they don't care about their members safety, health, or the maintenance and upkeep of their facilities. At $20 a month more than the majority of other gyms, many of which are cleaner with newer equipment, it doesn't make any sense to stay at golds.
