I joined this gym couple months ago due to overcrowding at other gyms,

But then the gym culture kinda ruins it, the manager and personal trainers try way too hard. Not only that why is everyone trying to micromanage everything?
It was cool at first but man’s it went downhill quit. I left before I knew shit was gonna get bad . Place sucks

I Cancel my membership at this gym and my husband could not come in person to sign the cancellation form we send it by email and said please cancel his membership as I was told, we still got charged and have to come in person and pay for one more month after been members for a while, this place don’t care and they have no consideration they just want your money and never able to terminate your membership with out fees or extra payment I’m never coming back.

Gold's Gym Northchase is excellent! The machines are in top condition, the gym is always very clean, and the staff is super friendly. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to train and feel comfortable in a calm environment. 💪🏋️🧘💪

I travel followed for work reasons and I signed up for this chain of gyms, which I am very happy about, the problem was that I came to the one who is in my house and it is very deteriorated, there is no maintenance to the equipment, the bathrooms do not smell good, even the lobby is like in 5 different golds This one is very neglected, please do something.

I think all of these one star reviews are mostly people who don't read or understand how a membership contract works. This place is sick. I'm an old head so I've had memberships all over town and this is by far my favorite place. The equipment is amazing. They have all of the stuff I've seen on videos and wished my gym had. So glad they don't have a pool. The commercial gyms with indoor pools smell so musty and are disgusting. The bathrooms are cleaner than any gym I've ever been to. The lighting! Makes everybody look good. It's like you walk in and they put beer goggles on you. LOL.

Amazing!!! Clean, well organized, calm environment, professional staff, spotless restrooms, beautiful showers with doors. I would give it 5 stars if they had a sauna, otherwise it's perfect. Just FYI, they do not have a sauna, steam room or pool if that matters to you. But everything was so great I don't care, I just have a separate membership at EOS through my insurance for that on leisure workout days. Prior to coming here I was going to 24 hour fitness by Willow Brook Mall and it has all the listed amenities but it sucked! Everything there was always broken, old or the place was dirty. It's nice to have a clean facility where everything works. Tempted to bump it to 5 stars but need to give a 100% honest review based on all factors, otherwise it would be 5 stars.

At first glance this gym looks awesome. It looks like an iron paradise and that is what was once upon the name. I’ve been at this gym for a few months now and have noticed a few issues that haven’t been fixed. Some of the equipment is tearing up in places that aren’t as noticeable, but they do rub against your skin, the front entrance as soon as you open the door it smells like Jim fart because they have no ventilation there and the most important thing is that it’s not 24 hours nor do they open super early every day or close super late their hours on the weekend is 7 AM to 10 AM which honestly there are a lot of people that don’t work Monday through Friday shifts so the schedule changes workout experience for that reason I am going to EOS which From just walking inside there is a good gym but the most important part is that it’s 24 hours so they have the availability to always meet my needs if you would like to save this gym, I really do hope that you prepare to only do things under their terms which personally I don’t like. I like more freedom in my gym specially, if I’m paying more for the membership competitor offers that I give it 2 stars.

Nice & clean. New equipment. Friendly staff. My one complaint is upon sign up no one took the time to demonstrate how to use some of the equipment. Most gyms have that upon sign up. When I asked a staff member I was directed to the QR Code on the machines, some machines are without. In today’s world we can figure things out with the internet but a little xtra customer service goes a long way.

I went here yesterday and it was my first time going to a gym ever. And I have to say after trying out other gyms after going to golds gym. I really enjoyed myself. At first it was a bit overwhelming but the lady at the front desk was supper nice and helpful on showing me and my little sister how to use the machines. And I got adjusted pretty quickly. I'm not expert or anything but like the equipment was nice and looks new and clean also theres was alot of machines and divided into like sections like cardio and etc whichi think its useful and nice. They had wipes around the place so you can use. The people I met was also helpful in helping me so I didn't looked like a lost puppy 😭 the place has a nice vibe love the lighting , great songs they played, love the decor of it all, and the store isn't too big or too small. Overall all this is gonna be my IT gym it left a impression on me and my little sister. Definitely coming again and Definitely becoming a member.

(Bonus points they actually have a machine for hip thrust instead of the smith's so.. like.. yeah)

This is just a warning for whom ever is thinking about joining this location. Terrible customer service from Manager Roy, I called 2 times, on back to back days in August 2023 to speak with manager regarding issues with bill each time the staff who answered the phone said he wasn’t there but would leave a message for him to give me a call back. I NEVER got the call back. Jan 2024 I start getting 3-4 calls a day from bill collectors telling me I owe over $100 to Golds Gym. I called the gym again to speak with the manager, & guess what.. he wasn’t there again the staff member said I can see in your notes you called and August to speak with the manager, & that she would Ieave yet another message for the manager to call me back, he comes in at noon. I waited .. and waited, no call back, at 1:30 I called back up there to speak with Roy & finally got him. After trying to explain the situation to Roy he told me it’s nothing he can do and I will have to pay for 3 months (Aug, Sept, & Oct) even if I never went to the gym during those months. I explained the reason my account was never closed was because I was waiting for his call back that I never received. He didn’t care to listen & he was unapologetic for never giving me a call back even though he could see the notes in my file. He told me again there is nothing he can do and I will have to pay them $100 even if I haven’t been to the gym since July 2023.

nice gym but workers are extremely rude, they close at 11 yet they turn off the lights on you at 10:45 while people are still working out which is very hazardous as people are working with heavy weights. And the light skin spanish dude with the beard said negative remarks loudly just because he wanted to go home early. Don’t work at a gym then. People are here to workout of course we are going to work out until they close. You don’t know peoples lives or schedules. What if the only time they had to workout was 30 minutes til closing? Don’t do it. Stick to LA Fitness or anywhere else. You get locked in to the membership. Customer service rep told me the only way out is to relocate, join the service or be paralyzed. Also, can’t bring a guest. For how much you spend on the monthly fee you should be allowed one guest atleast. They scam you with the $1 sign up. Pay the $1 then two days later you pay more. Only been signed up two months and they made me pay an annual on top of my monthly fee. As of now I’m just going till my membership ends. Once it does i am gone.

El gym es grandioso, pero por qué le doy una estrella: 1. El personal que trabaja es tosco, la chica Lisa o no se como se llamada grosera. 2. El chico delgado alto con gafas que trabaja por la noche, se va de su zona de trabajo, se va para su casa, no hay nadie que atienda, deja a una chica que hace ejercicio supervisando Jajaja, esto es patético, como es posible que deja su turno de trabajo y regresa ya para cerrar? I loved this gym since it's grand opening in late August of 2022. Staff are genuine, helpful, and care about its members and their experience here. I am always greeted by my name and feel welcomed every visit. Any questions about equipment or issues were addressed promptly with care and concern.

Just recently, I noticed the barbells were getting a bit rusted, and it was hard to slide the plates on. I mentioned it to Jonathan, and he quickly assured me it would be handled. Sure enough, by my very next workout, all barbells had been cleaned with a wire brush and vinegar and oiled and cared for. He even reached out to let me know he had handled it and checked in with me to see if I was satisfied with the maintenance.

All around equipment is well maintained, and the facility is clean. I have yet to see a machine not in working order. Housekeeping work hard, and I often tell them I appreciate their efforts to keep the gym clean. Bathrooms are always spotless.

Trainers are knowledgeable, helpful, and motivating. Nice to see them on the gym floor fully engaged with their clients, and you can tell they truly enjoy their work and making a difference.

Esthetically, the gym is beautiful, lighting and music adds a fun vibe, and there is a large selection of equipment and plenty of space to move around freely.

I was devastated of the closing of the previous 24 Hour Fitness at this location. I was a member and employee there for over 7 years, so it held a special place in my heart. But in its place, Gold's has provided me with a new home and community. ❤️ Remodeled, updated with beautiful equipment, and better than ever, this gym is not to be overlooked!

This place is rapidly going downhill. Equipment is already breaking down. People are leaving left and right. The parking lot is shady as hell. Several vehicles have been broke into. Management is nonexistent. I canceled my membership because 80% of the Time I went in there they have the men’s restroom closed for cleaning. The last time was for 40 minutes and I ended up having to work out in my street clothes. They could easily have one of the male staff members clean it. I went and asked to cancel my membership right in front of the manger and he didn’t say one word. He couldn’t care less. Definitely not someone who cares about the members or the success of this gym….. this will be the reason this gym fails in the long run.

I wish I could give them zero stars. I never once walked foot inside their gym. They received five months of free money from me. I canceled my membership and the scammers are increasing my bill! Rude Staff at Gym.

I recently visited this gym and was disappointed by the behavior of one staff member, Liza. Fifteen minutes before closing time, Liza started yelling at everyone to hurry up and leave as they were closing. Her approach was rude and unprofessional, and it made me feel uncomfortable as a paying member.

In my opinion, Liza should take a different approach when asking members to leave before closing time. She could focus on cleaning and welcoming members instead of yelling and rushing them. A polite and respectful request would have been much more appropriate.

Overall, I had a negative experience due to Liza's behavior, and I hope the gym management takes steps to address this issue and improve their customer service

I was walking into the gym when I overheard the receptionist, whose name is Mikayla, talking to a co worker about another guest who was having issues about checking in one of her kids. I was soooo excited when this gym opened a few months ago. The equipment is brand new, beautiful and the atmosphere is unmatched. However, I’ve recently become more and more disappointed by the lack of cleanliness/up keep and anticipate that it will be run down quickly without a turn around in these areas. There are spiderwebs and dust hanging from every plant. At this point all the plants that contributed to a cool environment are dying as they’re being neglected and unwatered. The floors are filthy with dirt and, gum is stuck to the floor in multiple places. I hope things turn around in the cleanliness department.

I have been looking for a new gym since I recently wanted a change from my old gym. Golds gym caught my eye so I decided to check it out. I got a free day pass on a Tuesday around 6pm and the next morning I went around 11am to get use out of my day pass. I come in and apparently the pass isn’t 24 hours, which was extremely bizarre to me since I have tried out many many gyms in houston and their passes are always 24 hours. I spoke to the manager and even told him I have never experienced this at any other gym and all he said was that it was just their policy. I wish as a customer who was EXTREMELY interested in joining and was planning on joining the next day would have been appreciated if the manager would have accommodated to let me workout with my day pass I already had. I ended up having to pay almost $20 for a day pass for that day and will never come here again!

Nice, clean, modern styled gym. It is a small gym. Basic set of equipment for sure. No shrug machines or anything complex. I do like the fact that the weights go heavier than most commercial gyms. Signed up today but I noticed the lights were DIM. I mean like if was a bar or club. My eyes had to adjust to the low light At NIGHT! I have never been in a gym that does that... is that for style?? Definite NO NO because you need LIGHT to see what you're doing and where you're going. I can see a LAWSUIT waiting to happen because someone tripped and got hurt. Went around 9pm. Not alot of people there which is good because this gym can't handle too much volume.

I was excited to try this new gym out but unfortunately when I went for the free pass there wasn’t anyone available to show me around since there was only one person in the front on a Monday or Tuesday. I was disappointed in that as well as I wish they had pictures or instructions on how to use the machines, to prevent a person from injuring themselves. Some machines I didn’t have any idea in how to used them and i did try to figure some of them out but had to stop since I could of got hurt or the machine just won’t move. Also there is no sauna which I don’t mind but unfortunately my first experience wasn’t great. Suggestion that I would giveso that more people will join is having pictures/ images and instructions on how to use the machines. It can bring more customers in and also prevent anyone from using the machine wrong and getting hurt or help a person out in knowing how to use the machines. Another thing maybe having more employees available to show the gym around.

Since day one they never had any to use. It's November now and they still don't have it a wall mount paper towel dispenser. It's nice for what it is but it doesn't offer the black card or any of the other amenities that Planet Fitness offer.
Oh and they don't take CHIME....👎🏿

Hands down the BEST gym in the area. Brand new top quality equipment I have only been dreaming of using. Lighting is on point for taking vids or pics. Truly a gymrats paradise.

Walked in and the manager, Roy, saw me and immediately gave me a tour. He answered all of my questions and was very thorough with the tour.

The gym itself is beautiful. Everything is spaced out nicely and the equipment appears to be brand new. First impressions mean a lot and based off that I definitely want to join!

I walked into this gym, scouted it out and left. I didn’t even start a workout. The two men at the front desk were extremely unwelcoming and rude. One of them barely acknowledged me. The other proceeded to have a full blown conversation in the middle of me trying to complete my sign up. I couldn’t see myself getting my work out done in a timely manner. The evenings are very occupied like most gyms, the lighting is clubb-ish, and the crowd just wasn’t my vibe.

Kudos to those who found this gym to be home, but it wasn’t for me.

So so so happy about this gym! I’ve patiently waited and consistently checked online since early July anticipating the opening. I can confidently say it does not disappoint. The lack of quality gym in this area caused me to build a home gym in my garage but I don’t think I’ll be using it anytime soon. Gold’s is beautiful, the equipment is very nice, new and advanced. The staff is very friendly and also very helpful. The lighting is perfect and somehow helps me focus. I look forward to my next workout.

Just want to stop and give a big shout out to Roy! He’s amazing since day one. I would notice he was the only one on the floor helping people with their form , how to use the machines and more. I worked out with him and he pushed me! I love it he did not let me give up . Showed me how to properly used certain machines and how to target the correct muscles . Just gladly appreciate him made me super comfortable!

Opening day - really liking the updated look of the gym. Price is currently $25/month which is very competitive. The lockers have good combo locks free to use (same style as lifetime fitness) so stuff won’t get stolen. Really happy with their new look.
