If I could give 0 stars I would . This gym pulled from my bank but still showed as unpaid for the month . I emailed in a copy of the completed transaction details to the manager Carey and she provided terrible customer service . The AM also barely knew what she was talking about . There was no sense of trying to work with me even though I sent the proof I needed with the payment . Super disappointed and won’t be returning . The gym also stays dirty and the sauna stinks as if it doesn’t ever get cleaned . The wood smells moldy .

I want to warn anyone considering joining about the cancellation process here. They make you come in person to cancel, which is fine, but the way it’s handled is extremely unprofessional and feels misleading. In my case, I was told everything was taken care of, only to discover months later that I was still being charged. When I reached out, I was given the runaround—emails unanswered, calls to corporate that put you on hold for hours, and no real accountability.

It should not be this difficult to end a membership. A simple, transparent cancellation process would solve so much frustration, but instead it feels like they make it intentionally confusing to keep billing you. Be very cautious, and if you do cancel, make sure you get written proof and keep a copy for your own records.

I was cancelled for 8 months no issues, but then the card that was on file for auto pay for the existing membership was charged $4 for an energy drink, beware of the employees working here they will skim your credit card info, I had to dispute cancel the card and charge and get a new one from bank. You have been warned! Someone is a credit card thief working here. Manager Carey Ravioli did refund my $4 from the unauthorized charge for the energy drink, but did not get to the root cause how the charged happened when I was canceled for 8 months or finding out the employee who used my card to buy the drink! Scary to due business here.

Taxes memberships, uneducated employees, will charge you a cancellation fee. I made it clear to the person at the front desk I wanted a one month membership he said to sign up for a regular membership then cancel after one month with no additional fee so that’s what I did. they ended up charging me for 2 months, charged me 13 days after I signed up instead of a month after I signed up like I was told, I was told when signing up I could cancel over the phone then when I called to cancel I was told I had to go in to the gym, then when I went in to cancel they were super unprofessional about the whole matter.

I only went here for around a month or so before I realized this place wasn't it for me. It's extremely crowded during after-work hours (around 6PM) and if you can only work out during these hours, it will be pretty miserable.
Machines/equipment wise, they're okay at best and you can tell it's definitely on the lower end of quality. The building is deceivingly large, compared to how much space there actually is for the workout equipment, mostly because they closed the pool area many years ago. So in reality, the workout area is like a third the size of the building. When I went there, it seemed like I was always competing for a spot at the cable stations. They definitely needed more of those. They also only had like 1 smith machine and a couple standing barbell racks, which for how busy this gym is, absolutely not enough in my opinion.
The water fountain tasted like straight tap water, so its probably not even filtered. Couldn't stand drinking that water, as well as the towel station for keeping yourself dry was not even a thing anymore as far as I could tell. No towels anywhere to be seen.

Just overall, not impressed. Try and find somewhere less busy.

Usually when I come in the staff is extremely helpful and welcome but I came in this Sunday and got such bad costumer service. My boyfriend needed help getting his barcode and the front desk guy seemed like he was mad he had to do his job. There’s no service in the gym so it took a while to process the barcode and when my boyfriend apologized for the wait he said “did u not download the app or something” so Rudely when we then got an error on it he said “let me see ur phone bro”. Idk if he was having bad day but we didn’t do anything to him so the attitude was extremely unnecessary.

I would have given them a 0. *DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT with Golds!! They will NOT cancel your membership even after you submit a request & continue charging you until the end of your contract date. Their contract reads that you can cancel with a 30 day notice but they WILL NOT HONOR THIS. You’ll need to take legal actions. Find a Crunch Fitness instead- they have month to month cheaper with more amenities & better equipment.

I'm on vacation for a week. A week long pass here is $45 (cheapest in town, even though it's prob double what you're paying for a regular month at your home gym.. but whatever. All the equipment was clean and organized. This location is an identical Floorplan to my Pflugerville home studio. The equipment was organized slightly differently, so I had to locate a few machines. I love the attention to details. Great value for a gym.

This gym was great at one point, but unfortunately, it is going downhill. Staff is no longer friendly always on theirs phones or laptops. Never enaging. Machines are always broken, and it takes weeks to months for repairs. Most of the gym goers here go to socialize and gather around stations. Planet fitness has better machines at this point. The only good thing about this gym is the sauna and 150 lbs dumbells.

I am absolutely delighted with the Zumba classes with Gisele Kilgore at Gold's gym North Round Rock. An ocean of positive emotions and super cardio load. Gisele is a very passionate instructor who ignites her students with her energy. It will be great if the club management adds another Zumba class with Gisele per week! Their pool is closed (maybe permanently) and they don’t have enough squat rack stations. They let their paper towels run out quite often without replacing. A lot of the disinfectant squirt bottle nozzles need replacing due to broken triggers or poor spray. Not worth the cost if you can find another gym close enough.

Golds gym in Round Rock at 4201Sunrise Rd is 5 Stars and above. As a former patron to 24 Hour Fitness and moving over to Golds Gym what’s the old saying you get what you pay for. Great service from entering the building it’s called getting pump by the crew up front a smile 😊 on their face goes a long way. Equipment more than enough for what you need. Trainers are the best Anna rocks in my opinion. After years of being in the gym I found out real quick how I took many shortcuts 3 secessions later holy moly the best initial training I’ve ever had and will continue. If your not a gym person but you want longevity getting in shape do your life a favor stop by check the place out meet the people you will not be disappointed. Worlds Gym Round Rock….ROCKS

I've been involved in powerlifting for, well, let's just say decades and I was never sure that I'd adjust to a commercial gym. But, Gold's Gym North Round Rock is as good a gym as I've ever been in and I've been in more than a few. Carey and her staff are not only incredibly friendly, but also very knowledgeable and have taught this old dog a few new tricks. The gym has everything I need and is lacking nothing. The equipment is well maintained and I can't remember the last time I saw an "out of order" sign on anything. It is incredibly clean, in fact the cleanest gym I've ever been in, and it's not unusual to see management out there right along side the maintenance staff cleaning away. I'm usually in there six, sometimes seven days a week and it's a positive experience every day. A big THANK YOU to Carey and her staff!

Gold’s recently closed a location in Cedar Park resulting in a significant increase in traffic to this location. I’m often frustrated by the number of people at the gym, especially during peak hours, and find myself routinely modifying or completing changing my workouts due to equipment being in use. Overall the facility isn’t too bad for a “budget” gym.

Terrible experience from the time I walked in the doors. The employees were rude and didn't put in any effort to earn my business. I asked to take a tour of the gym and waited for the employee at the front desk to stop chatting to another employee for about 15 minutes before they showed me around the gym. The restroom/locker room was dirty, there were free weights on the floor, people were not wiping down their equipment.

I definitely won't be going back to this gym and I wouldn't recommend anyone waste their time on this gym.

I recently had a deeply disappointing experience with Golds Gym that has left me frustrated and dissatisfied. It all began when I decided to take a break from my gym membership due to personal reasons. Little did I know that this decision would lead to unauthorized charges that have become a source of great annoyance.
At first, I had been satisfied with Golds . The facilities were ok, and the staff members were friendly. However, when it came time to suspend my membership temporarily, things took a turn for the worse. I followed the gym's procedures for membership suspension and believed that everything was in order.
To my shock, I soon discovered that they had continued to charge me despite my explicit request for suspension. The unauthorized charges went on for 7 months until the card on file expired. They continued to charge me for an additional 3 months putting my account in a past due state. Now I am being asked to pay a past due balance to a gym I haven’t been to in 10 months or to provide documentation when I never received any.
What frustrated me the most was that the gym's management seemed to be indifferent to my situation. They did not take responsibility for the error, and the whole ordeal seemed to be a never-ending cycle of phone calls and emails without a satisfactory resolution in sight.
This experience has left me with a sense of mistrust and disappointment in Golds Gym. The unauthorized charges not only caused financial inconvenience but also a significant amount of stress. I expected better from a business that claims to value its members.
In conclusion, I cannot recommend them to anyone looking for a gym. My experience with unauthorized charges and the subsequent lackluster customer service has been disheartening, and I hope that others can avoid such frustration by seeking fitness options elsewhere. It's essential for businesses to uphold their commitments to their customers and provide transparent and responsive solutions when issues arise, which, in this case, was sorely lacking.

After a year of doing the same movements and using the same equipment, a new manager sends a front desk associate over to ask me to stop.

This gym has slowly gone down with broken equipment, inability to replace things as they come up and turn over of staff.

It’s ironic their complaints of what I was doing would risk broken equipment, except I’ve been doing the same thing for over a year with no impact. It would make more sense if they were consistent with their message.

Facilities are ok, although not the most modern or the cleanest. No enforcement of rules on the gym floor whatsoever - people are often barefoot, using several machines at a time for extended periods, or don't even bother wiping down machines/re-racking weights. Classes are also limited in options in terms of variety or timing compared to other Golds. The 2 water fountains in the entire gym hardly work and when I mentioned that to the manager, they simply said they won't fix them since they sell bottled water...

One of the best gyms in the area for the value. Fun classes are available and friendly atmosphere for people of all ages. The equipments are well maintained and kept clean. Managers are extremely kind, and gracious leaders who take quick initiative to ensure members satisfaction are provided based on feedback. They really do a great job at making everyone feel welcomed, valued, and important and train employees to reflect those values as well. I found that to be the most encouraging factor to motivate me to come to the gym daily. The GM is one of the most humble and intelligent woman I know. It is evident the facility has had the success and growth it has, in such a short period of time due to her relentless contributions and strategic efforts to provide top notch service. 1) gym equipment: 10/10. Absolutely everything you need. No shortage of dumbbells, machines, nor anything else.

2) amenities: 20/10. I drive 15 minutes OUT OF MY WAY to come to this Gold’s Gym instead of the one on Gattis and 130. Why? Because they crank up the dry sauna to 190 degrees, which according to Dr. Andrew Huberman, is the ideal temperature. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR KEEPING YOUR SAUNA HOT UNLIKE OTHER LOCATIONS.

3) customer service: 10/10. Employees are helpful, friendly, and professional. Specifically, a young woman named “Naz” particularly exuded all of these qualities and more. As a former manager in retail, I can speak from experience that she exhibits elite customer-service skills. Made me feel warm and welcomed and valued. Definitely the character that is promotable and that you want representing your business.

Overall, 1000% satisfied customer. Absolutely no complaints. 10/10 everything. 5 stars. Come to this gym. You’ll have everything you need and won’t regret it.

This building is beautifully designed and modern. The high ceilings and bright lights really give me that classic Gold's Gym vibe. The friendly staff made me feel comfortable as soon as I walked in. Went in for a walkthrough so we could potentially sign up for a membership and got the worst customer service from this guy at front who had longish black hair and was wearing skinny jeans. He just mumbled at us and literally made the most annoyed face that we had even asked to tour the gym. That was one of the awkwardest initial interaction one could have when looking to sign up for a membership and cannot understand why would Gold’s put such an impersonable individual to be upfront dealing with potential customers. Well its a clean location. Not set up as well as others but certainly will do. You have to request bands or other accessories from the front desk. They are civil but not overly friendly. If you like the hello welcome to Gold’s when you walk in, it didn’t happen here. I’m from another state and found this location while traveling. It’s alright. They have a ton of machines, only 1 platform for squats and deadlifts, with a couple cheap squat racks and a couple smith machines, they have a lot more benches. There is rig by the entrance of the gym you can use for various things, but it isn’t properly bolted to the floor and feels sketchy. This place is incredible. I'm a very overweight middle-aged woman, and I have never felt any thing other than wholly welcome and supported. The staff as a whole are incredibly friendly, encouraging and positive, and I want to shout out Mitchell Dixon in specific as just an incredible human being. He's both one of the managers and a personal trainer and he is just great. My husband and I go to this gym 5 days a week and we are thrilled with our experience there.

They say "No contract" - it's a lie. There is a concelation contract. They have "billing cycle" to pull more money from you. As a result whenever you cancel you will be paying from 1 to 2 month more depending how far you are from billing date.
I bought a membership and I was told that there is no contract and I should pay every month. I visited gym 1 time and I was dissatisfied with sauna (smells really bad) and overall experience. Tried to cancel and I was told that they will be charging me for 45 days more. I said I'll leave review, and administrator (her name is Jordan) said that she doesn't care.
There are issues with smell, cleanliness, equipment condition. That's what you get when your stuff "doesn't care".

Carey and Mitch great customer service. The membership price is competitive low compared to others. The epuipment is great clean etc. Compare to others the membership is hilghly competitive. The general manager helped me out with a billing issue and the general manager is always for members.

Like many have stated before, this is the best Gold's Gym location, I have the pleasure of going to. I have not been to the gym for a while. I am talking about pre pandemic. Even when I was going, I would drive from Hutto to this location because it was clean, friendly staff, and offered plenty of workout classes.

I have started going back recently and it feels like I never left. The staff welcomed me with open arms. The air smelled clean and not stiffy, stale or like sweat (I understand this can be hard to achieve in a gym setting but they are pulling it off with clean scent air!). The machines are well kept up. I see the staff walking around wiping items down, ready to address any concerns or questions.

I am so glad I moved closer to this gym making my drive there even shorter. I can tell the staff and management care about their business and clients. That makes a world of difference. I hope more people give this location a try. Everyone deserves to feel comfortable and cared for rather their journey is new or not.

Poor management has negatively been affecting their staff and most importantly personal trainers. Twice now I have bought PT package for them to then fire the trainer thus stick me with trainers I did not sign up with/for. No refunds are being provided. Front desk staff is poorly trained and it shows as well. Would recommend a different location.

This location is the best I’ve seen. I went to another location of Gold’s Gym to sign up, but the atmosphere was so dark and the women were “confined” in a small room, separate from the men training so there were no women at the gym and I almost gave up. But then I decided to try another one and came here. I am so glad I did!!!!!
Ratio for women and men is so much better, makes me feel welcome at the gym! Great staff, very friendly! And so are the other people training, always willing to help.
I am very lucky I found this location!

I like that it’s clean, however the online class schedule is never updated. I’ve missed classes and also showed up when they’ve been canceled and online hasn’t been updated and staff seem clueless to these updates.

Pretty nice Gold's, I've been to bigger, I've been to smaller. It's a lot brighter than other one's I've been to which is pretty nice. Most people seem to wipe the machines after themselves which is a plus. Not as many machines, 2 being broken, but all in all a very nice clean gym.

I went to try the gym out and was told I wasn't a local resident so I can't try the gym. I don't understand why they would say that maybe it was my ethnicity. I spoke with an M.J and when I entered he looked me up and down. I wasn't greeted with a smile or a hello but a rude face. This isn't a good way to do business nor is it professional. Your staff definitely needs more training on customer service. I will not be returning

This is a very welcoming gym with extremely pleasant and helpful front desk staff. The equipment and overall facility are excellent. The general manager, Carey Rovelli, has been very nice and helpful, and went out of her way to personally welcome me to the gym. My experience here has been outstanding.

Nearly all of the stairmasters (4 out of 5) have been out of service for over a month and no one seems be doing anything about it. There are hardly any 20lb dumbbells available. Wifi is terrible. Just seems like this gym is filled with useless equipment no one uses and the more popular equipment is not available or doesn’t work.
