Dropped in for a visit while traveling to town. I’ve tried a few Gold’s within the city and surrounding metro, but this gym had by far the most diverse selection of equipment. Really great stuff, and some super rare equipment you don’t find often elsewhere either. Will be back to use this facility when I return to SA going forward.

I come here to do my contortion and mobility training. The equipment and mirrors studio are ideal for me to train. This gym is also one of the few gyms around where people respect your space. I've never felt disrespected. Everyone works out, minding their own business, giving everyone their own space. One of the reasons I love this gym.

Horrible customer service, GM directed me to customer service to finally get a solution to an issue I've been having for the last month. To then figure out i had been lied to once again. Not one person could give me a straight answer, it took all of this back and forth to still have no solution and basically getting scammed into keep a membership for two months and not even being allowed entry. Ive spoken with 3 seperate employees from that location as well as 2 from another and still no solution to an issue i didnt even create. Don't recommend.

Not a bad golds, used to be better before they closed the pool and theater room so minus a star there. And another because their urinals smell worse than some pit based outhouse. I wish I was exaggerating that but in the 2 months ive been coming since a year break it has never improved in smell, I will try and hold it for my drive home rather than use them.

This gym is great for bodybuilders, crossfit and just regular fitness goals. Some of the treadmills need repairs but the equipment is pretty unique here and great! The staff is always friendly as well.

I travel constantly for my job and in San Antonio 4 days a month, so I'm always seeing different gyms. I get a pass for this gym every time I come here. It's not even a question. They don't have day passes they have 24-hour passes so you can do 2 days for one. I'm haven't visited every gym in San Antonio so I can't say there might not be a better one somewhere. But this is my favorite gym out of any gym I go to anywhere I traveled. I look forward to coming to SATX so I can train at this gym for a few days.

Equipment…. 10/10. Not a single complaint.

Staff.…. Have not met an unfriendly or unhelpful person yet

Clean…. Always wet wipes for machines and lockers (means) always clean

Space….. Hugegym so even when ppl are here its so open you can maneuver easily for your workout.

This gym is really spacious. It has such a great variety of equipment. The air circulates well. It is open 24 hours. It is reasonably clean. However I need to give it 3 and not 5 stars for one bad apple. Im standing in the men’s locker room zipping up my bag and about to leave, when the housekeeper comes by with air freshener spraying it over the men’s room. I ask him if he wouldn’t mind waiting one moment to spray in my space so I could walk away so it doesn’t go in my face. He looks at me, stares with a dropped jaw, then sprays 2 sprays anyway. I inhale a cloud and get covered in a concentrated scent that hurts my head like a nail. This was a simple request that he decided was meaningless to him.

I love working out here at crossroads. The machines are superior. This is the only available gym near me that’s 24/7. The times that I do come in past 12, the staff is so friendly. The overnight employee with the cool dreads is always helpful and responsive!

The area where the dumbells are is crowded. So if you are looking to do that as a workout you'll need to keep an eye out for a free bench.
The other areas are spacious and area is kept clean.

Would be nice if they had some better bench press areas. I feel like the new ones that replaced the older ones are subpar. But that would be me just being picky.

If you want to see people with tripods and pay extra for the black level gyms that a over crowded you can hardly get a work out in. Men’s locker room is tiny and they have a pool that’s just not in use taking space. It’s a waste to upgrade for this location.

My family has been pretty much going to this gym for the latter part of about 10 years. My Dad originally had a membership for myself my mom and other siblings back when you could get a family membership so I guess you can say we’re ”grandfathered” in. For the most part it’s been a great and refreshing experience until the date of 1/12/24. My Dad told my family about him trying to take one of my brothers to watch a workout and mind you he’s been goin since they the kid zone there. Was made to feel like he wasn’t welcome to be there by the manager who was there first she thought he was under age which he wasn’t then she made my dad go through our whole membership three times while talking to him in a very condescending manner. Again my dad’s been a paying memeber since 2014. She wanted to take pictures and check birthdays and according to my Dad she was doing her job but her customer service abilities were horrible and demeaning especially with my brothers standing there with him. I’m glad my dad chose class and decided to leave and not cause a situation for himself. Never have I heard such a story how embarrassing that could have felt and to hear my brother throughout the day apologizing to my dad feeling it was his fault he had to leave. I advised my dad not to go to that one anymore because clearly there’s no respect for members who’ve been there a long time. If Golds Gym Crossroads offers refresher courses in customer service they should definitely send the Assistant Manager.

One of the newer Gold's Gym with all Gym80 equipment. I came to the location specifically for that.

Down side, poorly organized machine equipment. Bicep machine mixed in with the quad equipment mixed in with the back equipment with a different bicep machine on the other side of machine area.

Other down side which has been strangely consistent across the Gym80 Gold's, the bathroom is never clean. Out of soap, paper towel machine not working, poop in the toilet...

I'd go back with these expectations.

Gold's Gym is well maintained. As can be expected, they explain the use of the exercise machines, which are many - sets of machines for every muscle group of the body. I can't find any fault. Everything works, the users are friendly and cordial, and there's beauties shaping their bodies. I wonder, are they streamlined because they exercise? Or do they exercise to maintain their great attractiveness and the female power that goes with it? Even the men are beautiful, and probably healthy and eat optimally. It's another "world" of sorts.
I gotta go do my exercises, to feel good!

Overall you get what you pay for, there is quite a few machines that are worn out beyond comfortable use (pads are nonexistent, metal pokes you when you lift the weight). They have a lot of ellipticals that I haven’t seen many people use. It is very hot inside when the gym is packed and the air isn’t well circulated. People have their stuff thrown all over the floor in the gym (bags, water bottles, and various equipment). For $40 a month, it is what you expect to pay for. The major downside for me is that their wipes they provide to clean the machines are always dry so you might as well not even clean the machine, there are some hygienic concerns related to this. It’s an ok gym, could be better.

I have worked out here for several months and I only have 1 complaint. I like to take a shower after working out but it seems they only maintain the workout area. I went in about a month and a half ago and the locker area was dirty with stuff people leave laying around and some of it was still there today. The shower area still has bottles of shampoo that people left behind. And one of the shower curtains has been missing for a long time. Everyone pays good money to attend this gym so I don't think it costs very much to buy new shower curtains. I think the staff at the front desk should help clean since all I see them doing is playing with their cell phones. Please address this issue before people begin to leave this gym

Would have scored high, but I urgently needed to go to the restroom. White male clerk, had me fill out a form. My husband is the member. I am 60+ years. My kidney's were hurting so bad after, I couldn't really enjoy the workout. Next time, common courtesy, if a female as where is the restroom, let her go, and the do the process.

Plus, here too many are just dropping weights and not cleaning the equipment after they use it. Also, had to wait for females to finish filming themselves for social medial, so I could finish my business.

This golds is probably the best one in San Antonio. From the moment you walk in you immediately see the old school / Modern look this gym has which is what every golds gym should look like! The equipment is definitely top notch , and the way everything is laid out so well along with the amazing bodybuilding Decor makes me jealous of not having a Golds like this where I live. Just moved back and went to try it out. Arturo was super nice and helpful and I signed up before leaving. The gym has a lot of equipment and is surprisingly power-friendly compared to a lot of other locations. Can’t wait to try Pilates tomorrow!

Nice place to workout, they have new machines for every body part, also the warm up area is great with accessories you can use, the staff is friendly and helpful, Arturo was able to solve an issue I had with my account and when I need something he helps me with a big smile! They fixed the StairMaster quick! If you need extra accessories you can ask to the front desk rep and they will help you! The Sauna and pool is not an amenity anymore but they compensate with great customer service, nice/new equipment and good maintenance.

The renovations are awesome, but with it came this weird new rebranding where they blast club music and this weird synth pop garbage at full volume. Seriously, just drive up to it and you'll hear it. The music is absolutely terrible and it bleeds through my noise cancelling headphones. Then you look around, and 90% of the people there have headphones in too. Who is this god awful music for? I don't know how much longer I can come here

My wife went to this gym for years before she met me. I went with her about a year ago and I hated it! The equipment was outdated, and that’s because I enjoy older workout machines. I went recently and I now believe this is one of the best gyms in San Antonio, Tx! They finally updated everything with brand new equipment all the way around! Everything is imported from Germany, to be specific from Gym80; this is quality gym equipment. Long story short my wife and I signed up for a membership again! Great location, this is a prime example of what a gym should look like!

Honestly, I was not the most impressed. The gym was to my surprise bumped up to black level on the sole reason of being a brand new renovated gym. But really it's just new machines and that's about it. Sure they are nice but they also for the most part don't have any instructions on how to use them, which I think will turn a lot of average gym goers off. But it's where the new owners are taking it. So we will see how it plays out.

I was happily waiting for this gym to be remodeled since I like to take classes here after work. They finished, and then I went to one of my classes and they said the gym was now a level 3 gym and my level 1 status meant I couldn't go anymore unless I upgraded. I would have thought I would have been grandfathered in. Seems kind of rude to me to kick out the regular members.

Where to begin...? To start I'd like to preface that I have been to gyms all over the country and this one by far is one of my most favorite. The overall vibe and feel of this gym after it's remodel is fantastic. All of the equipment is brand new and just brings such a good feel to this location. It definitely has that classic Golds Gym feel but with everything being vibrant and updated. There is a lot of equipment that is not just brand new but very rare to find in most gyms which makes it even more awesome to see here. The gym itself is very clean and very well organized. They have multiple areas from functional fitness, a cycle room, and a full studio to make it a gym that anyone can come to and find something that is perfect for them and their fitness interests. The staff and the gym manager are amazing and all very friendly. Whether you're someone just visiting San Antonio and you like to go to the gym, or if you are looking for a great place to start this would be one of the gyms that I would highly highly recommend. Will be back for the majority of my work outs going forward. Can't say enough good things.
