I Love this location the manager is amazing but the small tiny girl has a habit of allowing his 2 latins friends in for free ALL the time. THEY ARE NEVER CHECKED IN they will chat for 5 minutes as if no one is watching. This has been going on for a year already. This is rude and disrespectful for those of us who pay full fees. FOR STAFF TO ALLOW THEIR FREINDS FOR FREE...

I have requested SEVERAL times to cancel after a work injury and now matter how many times I call, send the cancel request online, no matter what I do they still charge me even after I have been told "you no longer will be charged." Everyone BEWARE of this location.

As far as my workout experience it was okay on some days. The workout equipment was sometimes dirty and quite often there was a weird smell around the men's lockeroom. I have been to other gold's gym locations and the men's lockeroom was nowhere near as AWFUL as this location at Fiesta Trails.

Management here at this gym and the owner should be ashamed how difficult it is to get any communication out to cancel or to stop people from recording on the gym floor. It is clearly stated in the rules to NEVER record on the gym floor. There is a sign for not recording yet I still see people filming for "content" and not for working out purposes. I'm tired of being harassed by gym members and management alike.

UPDATE: I was able to get in contact with the General Manager and was able to get my membership cancelled finally from the date I requested. I was also reimbursed for the renewal of my membership that I did not consent to. The general manager was very nice and also informed me that the person I spoke to prior posed as him was let go for doing actions such as that.
As far as canceling a membership none of my requests that I sent online through the gold's gym website was never recieved by the system, even though you get a confirmation email stating that it did. If you sent one online you can bring it to the gym and the front desk will take care of the rest.
There is a new law starting next year that gyms will have to offer an online option to cancel but for now if you need to cancel do it in person.
Thank you again to the General Manager for setting everything straight. He was very honest, professional, and honored my cancel request.

Love this Gold’s location, over the past 3 years Ive seen a bunch of team members and the staff have all been exceptional.

These guys do extremely well maintaining a good attitude and great customer service. I have no bad things to say about any of them.

My only gripe is with what I assume is upper management or corporate. It appears they made the decision to get rid of the Hammer Strength Incline Chest Press.

I know it was old but they didn’t replace it and instead added a second, albeit newer, Hammer Strength Chest Press.

I hope they follow through with getting us an Incline Plate loaded Chest Press even if it’s just the old Hammer Strength one they got rid of.

This of course is out of the hands of the daily operations staff and I don’t fault them for it.

In fact the other day I bonded with a team member when I explained that I was bummed that they got rid of this machine. He explained he was just as a bummed and I was reminded how much I like all the staff here.

I know that nobody does or doesn’t go to a big commercial gym like Gold’s because of Google Reviews, but just sharing my experience. Don’t give in to the pressure selling of their personal training. They’ll lure you in with a free session and will pressure you to sign up like no other. At the time I was traveling quite a bit so I knew I didn’t have the time to really take advantage of them. So shortly after signing up I asked for a refund. They “left a message for the manager” for months. Finally got told no and that I should’ve asked for a refund a lot earlier🤡. They are professional gaslighters. Come here to work out, use your membership, stay away from personal training here, even the free ones.

Love everyone here. Been a member since 07 and coming here years, besides the covid break. It’s basically my home and family. I could go on and on about how I like Raul and all the people who work here. I am extremely thankful for this gym and everyone there. I am very busy during the day and while I miss when the gym was open later, it’s right by my place and very convenient and I appreciate all they do for me. This gym reminds me of my old gym and the classic Gold’s feel. I hope it stays that way. Has good equipment.

All new cardio equipment upstairs, for the people who come to the gym once, who cried on reviews that the old ones, that worked perfectly well, had a little rust on them. You can sleep well now cause the entire upstairs is brand new equipment. So come check it out. Also remember, newer doesn’t always equal better when it comes to workout equipment. Sometimes if it’s old and not broke, don’t fix it. But folks who care about everything being new and shiny will be happy, and the equipment works great.

One thing, I feel I have no one to listen to me and I noticed a recent review saying the same thing so decided to pile on. Great gym, but music is so loud it gives you a headache, triggers PTSD, can’t hear my own music ever, or the person talking right next to me. Definitely needs to be kicked down several notches. I don’t want to complain about it for the twentieth time but they say corporate wants it that way so there’s no one to listen to you about it. 5 stars for the gym and people though. Music is unbearably loud however. Would love to hear my own music from time to time. Previous Gold’s Gym in Corpus Christi wasn’t this loud.

Another one of my opinions as an experienced Gold’s gym member. A lot of good equipment on the floor was recently replaced as well, because a different golds closed, although they all worked well and didn’t need to be replaced. None of it affects me too much. Luckily they left a couple of the old epic benches, which are thicker and higher quality. I know a few people who don’t like the new benches. I feel some of the replacements were done without thought, but most of the equipment is the same or similar to what was replaced so no big deal. Once again, you have all the equipment you need here. I just get used to my favorite equipment.

The replacement that affects me the most is the weighted ab crunch machine. We had a Nautilus which was goated, replaced with a rocit hoist which is nonergonomic, one size fits all with no height adjustment, hurts your back. Forces you to grip handle bars with no elbow rest, so you use more arms than abs with a nonergonomic movement. Although, this can be replaced with standing cable crunches or decline sit ups. So while some replacements seemed done just for the heck of it, most of the good equipment was retained or replaced with an equal model of a darker color, so no big deal. Couple other things replaced but once again, no big deal. Just my opinions on some of the equipment changes. Some of them I like. Hoist rocit machines aren’t quite my style but others like them. I do like the new hamstring curl, but glad we kept the other one behind it and the old quad extension. The only additional equipment I think this gym could benefit from is some different hammer strength plate loaded chest machines. The ones we have just don’t hit the chest at quite the right angle in my opinion. Although that’s just my opinion, plenty of people use them and like them.

I recommend this gym to everyone, beginners and experienced alike. Ask us anything, family atmosphere. Would be nice if the extra money we spend over crunch gets us our basketball court back, which is sitting unused, another corporate decision that makes no sense. But if the loud bad music doesn’t drive me out of Gold’s nothing will. Crunch doesn’t have anything better that I’m aware of. I’ll delete the music portion of this review when the music is at a normal level lol.

Staff up front is always welcoming. This is my first gym membership in over ten years so I don’t really have much to compare it to, but it seems well equipped and while it can get crowded, everyone seems to mind their business. The music is way too loud to work out there comfortably. The gentleman at the desk said the manager set the loudness level when I asked if the music could be could be turned down to "normal" level. I worked out at other Gold Gyms for 8 years. This rule at this location seems odd. What is the reason to have music turned so loud?

Horrible horrible due diligence on Golds gym! My disabled father can no longer work out and went to cancel his membership and golds gym failed to cancel his memebership and for 200$ past due they sent it to an attorneys office for collections. With their only excuse being. The employee that they said he canceled with at the time does not work there anymore and there is nothing they can do. Walked in at 5am, multiple cardio machines have dried up sweat on them. Every single machine in also rusted and I just noticed that as I cleaned the machine.

Now I understand at the end of the day they would be like that, but 5:15 am? Hmmm

So then I take it upon myself clean it (gross) only to find that ALL of the sanitizer dispensers upstairs are completely empty.

UPDATE:
A year later and still the same issues. Walked in at 7am on a Sunday and the weights were thrown all over the floor, the treadmill in the women’s section is covered in dry sweat & they replaced the treadmill and bike with two older treadmills that aren’t good for sprints because you have to manually scroll up.

Just wish the establishment took more pride in their gym. Sad.

A few weeks ago they didn’t open on time, (5am) myself and about 20 other people left, I waited till 5:35 and emailed management and never got a response.

Ended up going to Lockhill Selma location and it may be smaller but it’s way cleaner and has better equipment.

The management is very unprofessional and often rude and disrespectful. The bathrooms are always dirty and have a bad smell. The equipment is often rusty and broken, and the ceiling leaks whenever it rains. They simply put buckets to catch the water, which seems like a really cheap fix. Was a good gym. i liked the setup. OK, staff, nothing special and ok cleanliness, but I did like the gym. Until my car got broken into outside in the parking lot after my gym sesh. Best. Gym. Ever! We joined in 2020 and come almost every day. My spouse loves the morning exercise classes; I'm mostly a cardio guy, spend almost all my workout time upstairs on the treadmills. I wanted to give a personal shout out to the local GM, Raul Lopez. We both recently came of age for Medicare, and our new provider wanted to pay for our membership...but we didn't have a clue how to switch over. Raul took the ball right out of our hands and got us all set up, so we don't have to do anything but continue to show up and work out, which we will absolutely do as long as we are able to walk in!

Nice staff, but 7 of the 15 or so the treadmills don’t work at all. The upkeep of the gym is rough, rusty equipment, water leaks. The stationary bikes all are broken in some way but usable. 1 stairmaster doesn’t work. I go to this gym daily and it is sad to see since the location and layout are both great. Majority of golds gyms in the city have seen renovations but this one seems to be forgotten.

Honestly.. I haven’t been to this gym location in a few years, maybe since before covid I’m not sure. I usually go to the one on medical center.

1. The fiesta trails location has no information about the pool or when it would be opening up, which is weird. And from the reviews I’m seeing that it hasn’t been opened since before covid?

2. I can’t remember if there used to be a sauna, which isn’t a huge deal if this location doesn’t, but it’s still strange.

3. And it felt like they didn’t have the a/c at a reasonable temperature considering people are working out in an enclosed space.

4. The equipment seemed outdated compared to the medical center location.

5. The guy working the counter on 05/03/2022 was really nice and had good customer service. That’s why I’m giving at least two stars.

I most likely won’t be back to this location for a good while again. Just being honest about my experience. (I won’t email the assistant manager because it won’t change anything so please don’t leave that as a reply.)

What happened to you golds gym? I would think you would want new people to join? Guess not. I been going to golds for over 14 yrs +, Today 11/16/22 @ 6:37 am, I was treated very nasty by a Corey .. btw he didn’t want to give me his last name. I tried taking a very good friend of mine thinking we had a week pass, he only been there 1 time in past 4 days. Corey said no he could workout out we had to pay 15$ or 45$ for the day. It’s not about the money cause we can pay trust me. It’s the way he came off very rude no empathy. Gym facilities are always clean! Staff is always super friendly! Marshall and Pearl are the best and super helpful. I’m an aspiring professional athlete, Marshall was there to help me detail my workouts to specifically improve my abilities in the certain areas that I wanted them.

This is one of the better Gold’s Gyms out there. Clean facilities and the equipment is always maintained and in proper working condition. Amazing staff and management. I have had the pleasure of meeting the general manager, Pearl, and she is a wonderful, kind and knowledgeable individual. I always see her walking around the gym and inspecting the facilities. I highly recommend this gym to anyone, no matter where your fitness level is at.

I’ve been working out at this location for 2+ years now. I’ve never been disappointed! The staff is always kind and the facility is kept clean. They have everything you might need for your workouts and it’s never too busy (except maybe during peak hours, but what gym isn’t?!). I definitely recommend this location :)

Love the studio classes especially the golds fit and yoga at this location!! 10/10 recommend! For the price and the wide array of classes they offer, it’s unbeatable! Gym has definitely been improving for the better. Even though they have had staff shortages, Pearl and Marshall (managers) have managed to keep the gym looking great and CLEAN. Machines don’t last out of service long. Repairs are done quickly. All in all, staff and facility are 5 stars for me.

I stopped going here, although closest to my house. The pool and hot tub tucked back, private, in a perfect location now permanently closed! The shower heads and temperature controls always bad. The women ‘s workout room was just ok, TV had no controls -boring; no
access to technology, is all antiquated.- as are the machines. Too bad. I go to LA Fitness, much better.

Overall the gym is great but they need to make it a better habit to upgrade,replace, maintain their weights or machines. Stickers and numbers of weight value have rubbed off on the machines, you can find pulley cables that are exposedand rusted components.

Been coming here for one month for personal training session with Marshall. He is the BEST personal trainer ever. My body has transformed and I look n feel great. I come see him everyday so I can stay on top of my workouts and also cause he’s easy on the eyes. Ask for Marshall for your fitness needs!

Thanks for being open during your operating hours unlike lockhill twice in 3 days. All in all its not the worst golds. I went when they were extra busy because my morning gym didn't open even an hour later. So I don't think I had the best representations as they norally would have. The showers here are bad though. I fail to see how any of them could possibly be for disabled guests as federal law mandates. Other than that it's good not grate but good. I wish the locker rooms here good a good deep clean and make over the patina on multiple surfaces is kinda gross and that mid 1990 to early 2000s hair salon coloring for the "wood" is another cringe factor.

I have been here for almost 10 days. Everyone at the front desk are always in high spirit and greet you whenever you walk in. They make it a pleasant environment with a smile on there face no matter what they are going through. I thought they could only manage it a few times but that's not the case. I have been doing cardio and most of the equipment for cardio are all beaten up and some of them don't quite work. That is the reason why I gave 4 stars only. But the employees who work here deserve 5/5 stars.

Machines and Cardio machines are always broken which makes things limited when there tons of people. When something breaks it’s broken for months as well. TVs are either off or on weird paid programming channels. Every now and then the music is so loud that you can hear it through your own headphones. But the main thing that makes me mad is that The Pool, Sauna, and Basketball Gym have been permanently closed for no reason. They drained the pool completely. With all that being said the monthly price is still the same as if all amenities where available to the members.
