Lots of fun at the UT v OU womenβs volleyball game! GA seats gives you great visibility due to the smaller size of the gym. Was a little warm because it was packed. But otherwise, entry was swift, concessions were quick, and the game started on time. Recommend! Note: We got there an hour prior to game time. Any later and youβll have to fight for seating on a Friday at 8pm game.

Stay away from UT RecSports to protect your health!
Gregory gym is an inherently racist institution! It is built for the comfort of White student sports, but as a minority you will be always disregarded and disrespected here both by moving around/cancelling your favorite sport whenever they feel like it and by directly insulting you. If you belong to a minority population, coming to the UT gyms will actually worsen your health significantly rather than helping it in any ways!

This place is for only basketball and volleyball. UT doesnβt care about other sports like Badminton and Table Tennis. They are considered as Asian sports and not treated with the same respect as other popular sports. If you pay for the gym only to play some asian sports, you are at loss. Because they would just remove the equipments or the playing field randomly without prior notification if they want to accommodate other popular sports. It is not professionally handled by the management. You just lose time and money.

Especially for a premier university, this place is a dump. I have never seen such looking, rusty, equipment in my life. The stuff that isnt falling apart are bottom shelf matrix machines that are so un ergonomic they ruin your workout...somehow those have rust too. The locker rooms are not great either. The selection of equipment is miserable and simple things such as handles for cable machines do not exist. There are a total of 4 cables usually working for an entire gym. Basic equipment such as cable row machines and chest flys are missing. There is just a single leg press machine Thats all if u can even snag any equipment because there is nowhere near enough equipment to accomodate all of the users. Its so bad ima have go spend 40 bucks a month for golds gym in addition to my overpriced tuition....shame on UT. My non prestigious university back home has a weight room 3 times the size of greg with brand new equipment and all the basics covered....the population of the school is also half the size

Not the best gym and can be crowded. Not super aesthetic, but the $41 membership for non-students has a lot of value IMO with access to so many things like ping pong, racquet ball, tennis, jacuzzi, sauna etc. The overall package I think is good value!

I cancelled my membership 3 days after signing up. The membership office had told me that I would be able to use the spin bikes in the studio for my peloton classes, then halfway through my workout they made me leave and said I was not allowed to be there. I guess the staff was misinformed on the policies. It was humiliating and very unprofessional. I understand that policy is policy, but the way that it was handled by the Assistant Director CeCe and her staff was very rude.
Other than my personal experience, the gym itself is overcrowded and not very clean. Itβs hard to find space in the weight room. Itβs fine for the college kids, but I do not recommend for adults.

It's about time to upgrade the gym equipment. I'm a Senior so by the time it happens, it will be too late for me. However, it's an important thing to do because much of the equipment in the weight room is not aligned-- this can lead to a possible injury. At a college such as UT, it's unacceptable for the gym equipment to be broken, misaligned, and rusty.

A great loud venue for UT Women's Volleyball. We sit by the visitors and we hear them say that this gym is "rocking" and "loud".

One star is for the grumpy students at the service desk. Refused to give towel for guest pass and sounded very rude.
The gym would get like 2 stars. Have good squat racks, only one deadlift platform, old equipment and the entire place has only one weight room, which I think is not typical for a top university gym which charges $12 for a day pass. Showers in the locker rooms doesn't even have a soap. Pretty old sauna and no steam room. Went with great expectations. I would rate the University of Minnesota's gym 1000 times better.

Stopped by for a vaccine and was pleasantly surprised by the intricate cow skull motifs above the arched entrances. My journey took me upon wooded surfaces smelling of sneakers and success. Post poke, I exited in a subterranean fashion only to be delight to find street level in an Escher type experience. Well done, would recommend.

For the time being, Gregory Gymnasium is being utilized as a COVID vaccine site for UT Health. Every worker and volunteer is more kind, considerate and helpful than the next. There is free parking and shuttle service to the Gym. It was a wonderful experience. High praise goes to the organizers and everyone involved.

I would say the building is ok. Was there to get the covid vaccine so though I was glad to get the vaccine I still hate shots! So not real good association with the place. Ushered in, ran through a rat maze, stuck in the arm, watched for 15 minutes to see if my arm would fall off or something and released back into the world. Guess it's an ok place, got to go back one more time and probably never see it agsin.

We went for our second vaccines at Gregory Gym Wednesday, March 3rd. UT provided shuttle service for those needing assistance. Volunteers and staff directed us to accessible entrances and elevators. The check-in process went smoothly and vaccination stations were readily available. UT Health did an excellent job setting up Gregory Gym for the vaccination process. We travelled from San Antonio to Austin for both vaccines. Thanks to UT Health and Gregory Gym!!
