I’ve been going to Grit for the past few months and have absolutely loved it! The classes are fun and effective and I’m loving the progress I’m seeing. The girls working there are also SO sweet and friendly - they’ll remember your name and really make you feel comfortable and cared for. Highly recommend!!

I've been going to Grit for almost a year now and this studio is honestly one of the best in Austin! The instructors are all so welcoming and the spin/mat combo class is such a perfect way to spend an hour. It's clean, spacious and the playlists are always amazing!

Update: The resistance focus spin class on Monday's with Patrick is fabulous for anyone looking to gain strength on the bike! Continues to be my favorite studio in town.

Love Patrick’s endurance spin class on Monday at 7 a.m., it’s a great way to start the week. Been coming here for a few months now and you can’t go wrong with any class or instructor. Very safe, fun, and welcoming environment.

Great instructors, classes, and parking situation!!

I’ve had nothing but positive experiences at Grit after taking classes here for a few years! Most notably, I’ve recently started working out again after dealing with major health issues. I feel so empowered to take classes at a pace appropriate to my recovery timeline but also to push myself as I discover how much I am capable of once again.

Grit is an amazing spot. What I love most is its simplicity - just a few core class types, minimal equipment, and clear, straightforward instructions. The vibe is unpretentious and welcoming, yet the workouts still kick my butt and leave me sore the next day! All in all, this place is truly a gem and I can't wait to keep coming back.

I love grit ATX! I always go to the noon mat classes with Garland and she always challenges me. another stand out of her in general is she remembers your name after you take 1 class with her and makes effort
to talk to you. I highly recommend

This is a 5-star gym. Not because of the space or the equipment, but because of the staff (not that those other things aren't excellent as well; I've never seen a broken bike, a ripped resistance band or a tattered yoga mat). The staff at Grit are constantly striving to outdo themselvesβ€” offering themed workouts and lunchtime classes, and not to mention the ever-evolving education the staff provides. You'll never go to the same class twice.

I went looking for a gym with spin classes, pilates classes, and good vibes, and I found it immediately in Grit. This gym is truly good for anyone β€” seasoned gym-goers and those brand new to working out can feel safe, encouraged, and welcomed. The classes are challenging but enjoyable, and the staff makes it a point to learn your name to greet you personally and encourage you throughout class. If you're looking for a community-focused spot with cardio and strength options, Grit is the place for you.

I stopped in for my first class last night and had the best time. Garland made sure I knew what to expect since I had never taken any spin classes before and was so funny and engaging the entire 45 minutes. Made it easier to finish strong and I was smoked by the end.

You won’t regret taking class here!

Attended GRIT for roughly a year and absolutely loved it. I unfortunately moved to South ATX and the drive is just too far for the 7 am classes that I loved. Mat class was my personal fave - you can expect lots of squats, core work, lunges and high rep low weight arm workouts. Truly a full body work. I was always sore and felt so strong after doing it consistently. Garland, the owner is incredible and welcomes everyone with open arms. Miss ya GRIT! <3

I stumbled upon GRIT while trying Classpass and was in need of a new workout studio. I immediately fell in love with the workout options ( spin + pilates), music, and instructors! The class times and class options are always on point throughout the week and I can't recommend this place enough! I genuinely look forward to working out now :)

Grit is exactly what one could hope for in an independent studio. It's such a warm and welcoming atmosphere and the workouts always provide the opportunity to push yourself while being respectful of your fitness progression throughout.

When researching where to consider for spin classes, other bigger name locations felt like they were focusing on so many other aspects that felt like distractions. Grit is much more authentic on promoting one's fitness journey and the sense of inclusivity without feeling forced. While sometimes I'm tempted to hit that snooze button, I'm always glad I made the call to hop on the saddle and start the day strong.

I found out about Grit a few weeks before they opened up in 2022 and I was so excited to have a spin studio on the East side of town. My first time trying out their classes during their introductory opening week left a great impression- everyone was so friendly! I loved it so much I asked to start teaching classes there to provide the same welcoming experience I had to new clients trying our classes for the first time.

Each instructor brings their own personality to class, which provides a nice variety throughout the week! My husband and I go multiple times a week, and leave with equal amounts sweat and smiles after every class :)

I discovered Grit ATX through class pass and I loved it so much I decided to become a member. It was the first place that I felt very welcomed and accepted. The environment is inviting and the instructors are very supportive, friendly and help you feel empowered to challenge yourself. The classes are great for beginners as many of the movements can be modified but it also remains challenging as you grow into your fitness level. I absolutely love it here and I’m so happy I gave this studio a chance.

love love loved this studio - Garland & her team of instructors.
from day 1, Garland was so responsive and warm with whatever questions I had about classes and memberships. the classes themselves were original, refreshing and challenging as someone who hasn't experienced much pilates! also so awesome they combine this with spin in some their classes.
I really felt so at home here and wish a studio like this existed in my hometown, I'd be there everyday. keep doing it ladies!
Thank you so much, I hope to be back next year. Have a beautiful wedding Garland, you will no doubt be an effortlessly breathtaking bride!!

I have had a hard time finding a gym in ATX that is small with a true feeling of community, a variety of classes, amazing instructors and great playlists. I love that everything can book and adjust your bookings all online and classes are fun and zero pressure, but kick your a** big time! This is the only gym my husband (who isn’t into fitness classes and prefers the gym) will join me for. Love this place and the people. I highly recommend!

I also appreciate that you can choose to be in-and-out in an efficient 45 minutes or stick around after class to hang out. Love it here!
