I’ve been going to Grounded Performance for a few months now, and it’s easily become one of my favorite parts of the day. Taran and Zane are both amazing trainers — knowledgeable, encouraging, and genuinely invested in helping you get stronger and move better.
The programming keeps things interesting and challenging in the best way, and the community here is just awesome — everyone’s welcoming and down-to-earth. It also helps that it’s right in a nearby neighborhood, so getting there is super convenient.
If you’re looking for a place that balances great coaching, community, and results, I can’t recommend Grounded Performance enough.

Great place! My experience with these types of workouts was minimal going in. Taran and Zane are great at making every class engaging and making sure you’re doing them right. I’ve learned a lot. The workouts are fun and you’ll be sore! Surprisingly good cardio workout too.

I was super excited to see a new gym pop up right in the neighborhood and couldn't wait to check it out.
Taran is super knowledgeable and meticulous, but also keeps the atmosphere light and fun. The programming is incredibly thoughtful, building functional strength while prioritizing mobility, movement quality and injury prevention. Taran breaks down the movements clearly, coaches you through proper form, and creates workouts that are challenging but sustainable. This is training that makes you stronger, more mobile, and excited to show up again.
The gym is clean, and the people are friendly and welcoming. I honestly feel lucky to have something like this right in the neighborhood. (Walkable!) Hidden gem, come check it out!

Taran and Zane build a great workout program and provide group instruction for all exercises, plus personal instruction as they see the need or when requested. They answer questions about benefits of each exercise and how it fits into the overall program. The class structure is the best I could have hoped for: custom workouts for whole-body strength gains and injury prevention, without yelling like boot camp or trying to wear you out just for the sake of making you feel like you did something. This gym's provided me a routine of quality workouts that are much more productive than the improvised workouts I was doing at my previous gym.

I can’t say enough good things about Grounded Performance. I took my first class there this week and absolutely loved it. As a travel nurse, this gym checked all of my boxes. The members were all so friendly and welcoming, the space was very clean with plenty of equipment, and the classes were incredible. Taran, who led the classes, was super knowledgeable, patient, and encouraging! He took the time to break down all the movements, ensured that form was correct and made helpful corrections throughout so everyone got the most out of their workouts. Overall I really enjoyed my workout here and felt extremely comfortable while challenged at the same time. I’d 100 percent recommend Grounded Performance to everyone I know!

I joined Grounded Performance about a month ago, and I am loving it. I am so happy to have found a place in the neighborhood that has convenient class times, a non-intimidating environment, and a great trainer.
Prior to joining, I hadn't worked out regularly in years, so I was concerned about trying something new, but everyone has been so friendly, and the workouts can be modified to any fitness level. Taran is obviously very knowledgeable and also super friendly and helpful. It all makes for a great workout in all the ways.

I've been going to Grounded Performance for two months and so far am loving it! I was at my previous gym for over 10 years, so it was a big decision to switch. I wanted a gym with group classes that focuses on strength training and mobility, and this is the perfect spot. Taran is a great coach, the other members are cool, the space is clean and inviting, and it's all around a great workout experience.

My wife and I recently moved to the area and were looking for gyms to join and couldn't have been happier with our decision of joining Grounded Performance. The staff is very friendly and supportive. Having come from a CrossFit background, the gym's exercise philosophy is refreshing. Grounded Performance's philosophy is all about balancing workouts, meaning I no longer feel like I have to wait a day or two to recover before I can exercise at 100% again. Plus with the focus on strengthening secondary muscles gives me confidence in maintaining a long term healthy lifestyle, especially as somebody who struggles with runner's knee on and off again.
So glad we discovered Grounded Performance!

I heard about this new gym opening right as I was looking for a new gym in Austin, and I’m glad I did! The workout structure is great. There is a good warm up set up for the workout and the workout itself has really helped me become stronger in a fundamentally way! 10/10 recommendation.

A Marine Corps veteran owned gym, say less. Taran the head trainer is a master of his craft, and still finding new ways to level up. North Austin is about to have some of the fittest people in the city. Great facility, very new, and big on community. So glad they opened

Taran knows how to coach, make you laugh, and push you—all at the same time. The workouts are fun, challenging, and actually make you want to show up. You’re not just lifting weights or going through the motions—you’re moving with purpose and learning new things every time.
The warmups are solid, the vibe is unmatched, and the setup is dope. Taran explains everything clearly, demos the moves, and coaches you throughout the workout. It’s hands down one of the best training experiences I’ve had.

One of my favorite gyms I have been to in a long time. The training is great I not only feel stronger, but way more flexible.
