GymKix markets itself as a competitive gym but fails to deliver. Inconsistent coaching, with frequent staff turnover, leaves athletes without proper guidance, fostering bad habits and regression. The organization lacks professionalism and resources, undermining trust. Its training philosophy prioritizes advanced skills over fundamentals, leaving athletes unprepared and frustrated. GymKix feels more focused on control and profit than athlete development. Parents face dismissive responses when seeking communication. GymKix is a second family for our girls. We use the afterschool program, the gymnastics classes, and one of my girls is part of Royals. I’ve been a member of Gymkix since 2015 and they always treat us like family. We are greeted, called by first name, and made to feel welcome every time we enter their building. If you are looking for a great afterschool program or any of the recreational activities that Gymkix offers, you will not be disappointed!

“You belong here” — This is what the coaches’ t-shirts say and I have yet to have an encounter at GymKix that doesn’t embody this. They don’t just mean your athlete, they mean the whole family.

We are a large family with several kids involved in the rec program, Royals team, and ninja and we are at the gym most days a week. We are a small crowd—in the viewing areas, in the gym, in the parking lot. Each of our family members are greeted every time we walk through the door. We never feel like “too much” here.

My athletes are well-coached and well-loved. I trust the coaching staff implicitly as they have shown their expertise on the floor and in conversations about classes, clinics, and meets. Questions are answered with care and asked with compassion.

We have experience at many gyms in many states and I have never seen a gym that makes the nitty gritty of the business side of so smooth. I so appreciate the ease of communication, tuition payment, signing up for clinics, etc. through the parent portal and front desk staff.

I recommend GymKix without reservation—it Is our favorite place in Copperas Cove.

My child has been going here for years and let me say that the experience overall has been amazing. The staff is respectful, helpful, and you can tell they enjoy what they do. Being apart of the after school program and gymnastics, my child has grown so much in her social skills as well as confidence. I really couldn't have been blessed with a better experience regarding how they have cared for and helped my child. I appreciate everyone there for the time and service they give to all of those children.

I have nothing but absolute positive things to say about this place. Firstly the Gymnastics side. My daughter has grown so much in just such a short amount of time we've been there. She very much adores each and every one of her coaches, ESPECIALLY Coach Kenzie! Not only is she so dedicated to each and every one of her athletes, but she is also so compassionate, kind and so knowledgeable about the sport. If I had questions, she would explain it and even would give pointers on what we can do to work on together to make our athlete stronger. The other coaches, Coach Hailey, Coach Declan and Coach Phoebe are also all so supportive, caring and the biggest cheerleaders of each of the kids.

Secondly we are also so very pleased about our Playful Pathways (Preschool) for my son. He has shown so much growth not only academically but also maturity. Ms Michele is so very kind and cares about each and every child like her own. Her staff are also just so sweet and treats my child so well, at the end of the day after I have picked him up, his response in the car is "I just want to go back to school because I love it".

From the front desk Ms Stefanie and Ms Sara all the way to the rest of the staff, they are so welcoming and warm and always makes you feel like you're part of the family. I 100% recommend people to check out ALL the different types of programs they offer here and will always recommend this place who is looking for a gym to do gymnastics at, as well as, preschool.

Gymkix is amazing. I have three kids who have all been to the facility. The variation of classes and class schedules allows for them all to be included in something.
They offer after school activities along with morning classes for preschoolers.
The staff has always treated my kids fairly and any concerns that have arised were quickly resolved. Since going they have all developed so many skills both physically and mentally and have developed relationships with their coaches who are just as wonderful. There are so many good things i could say but the biggest is as long as we live in town my kids will go here.

If you have to miss a class they give you a make up token. If you are looking to put your children in an after school activity I would highly recommend you check them out.

Highly recommend parents to check this place out, if you've considered a place for your child to learn activities. They offer gymnastics, ninja and dance classes and if you're an existing customer, you can sign your kiddos up for after-school care, at an affordable price. My niece is here 5 days a week and they truly do treat us like family. I couldn't imagine taking her anywhere else. Everyone here cares about the kids! The kids also make lasting friendships as well. Thank you GymKix family, we love you all 🤸‍♀️🥷

My daughter has been going to Gymkix for years now. When she showed an interest in gymnastics a couple years ago, I signed her up, and she absolutely loves it! I regret having to leave this review, but I feel it's important for others to know my experience with GymKix. My daughter, a two-time state champion, transitioned from another gym where she thrived and loved the sport. However, since joining GymKix, she has lost her passion for gymnastics. The coaches seem more focused on advanced skills rather than building a strong foundation with the basics, which has hindered her growth and enjoyment. Additionally, during competitions, there is a noticeable lack of encouragement or support from the coaching staff. Several parents sitting near me at meets even asked if the coaches ever spoke to the athletes, and sadly, they don’t. If your child is serious about gymnastics and wants proper coaching and positive reinforcement, I would recommend finding a different gym.

When something is good, it has to be highlighted. I was looking for a place for my children to develop physically and at Gymkix I found everything I was looking for. The customer service is excellent, the instructors are lovely, the place is comfortable and super clean and everything is well organized. They have treated us very well and I would recommend this place 100%. Thank you to all the staff for giving us such an excellent welcome and making my children feel at home.

GYMKIX is great. I love the facility for my children and they have lots of fun there. Prices are fair and reasonable for ALL classes. The staff and coaches are great and everyone has great spirits and attitudes EVERYDAY. I have nothing bad to say about Gymkix and everyone there. Having been there for some time now, I would prefer for someone there to consider upgrading the TV upstairs so that parents can see each screen on the TV a little bit better. Its pretty hard to so any of those tiny frames on that TV. Thank you much.

I enrolled my 2 kids at Gymkix since it was close to our house. Best decision ever! My youngest was much better at gymnastics then we could have dreamed and my Autistic child was taught with patience and kindness with safety rules that my child learned were necessary in the gym and real life! Gymkix was truly a positive life changing place for kids.

If you have a child with a disability do not waste your money by sending them here.

Put my 3 year old daughter with Austism in the little princess class, it was fine first 2 weeks, they seemed to be able to make reasonable accommodations for my child. Then our 3rd class my child was hitting her head on the floor (austism) and they removed her from class. I totally understood that that’s not safe for everyone. But then the next time we came they were going upside down on the gymnastic bars and she screamed because she was scared and they removed her from class again. This time I was far less understanding. The teacher told me she recommended 1on1 classes. I did not want that since I put her in the class for socialization. And their reasoning was that she “took 1 whole staff member to be with her” Lady… theres 3 kids in the class and 3 teachers. Sounds like they all take up one staff member. Stephanie was really rude and condescending during our conversation, speaking at me and telling me it was how it was going to go. As if I’m not the customer paying her lol. She is also a liar. Swearing up and down we agreed to remove her from the class the week prior. lol nobody agreed to it. She took it upon herself to remove my child from the class roster. Overall terrible experience. Wouldn’t send any child to these people

Update to this review- 2023

Gymkix use to be a place that cared about family and our girls. However, this review from two years ago is no longer true. They ended the USAG program with zero notice to the families and completely disregarded our children. More than 15 gymnasts had to find a new gym literally days before competition season starts. You can validate this with the two gyms in Harker heights and Killeen as they can attest this is true, as they had to evaluate over 15 girls to try and place them in teams before the season started. Gymkix is no longer family oriented and has complete lack of professionalism and respect for their customers.

Gymkix is a phenomenal company and have outstanding core values. Their gymnastics programs are top notch and I couldn’t imagine my children going anywhere else. Thank you so much for everything you do for families and the community!!

They don't care about the girls or their family. They just up and change everything without letting people know and give them a day or two to choose. My daughter was on the USAG team and on Saturday they stopped having the team without any notice. So many girls are hurt and lost the family they thought they had. No one should treat others like this if they want to run a company. They talk about God and family but would they treat God or family they treated all these family's that paid a lot. Plus most of their equipment isn't very safe, they also fire employees with no notice....

WARNING!! My family spent 6 years at this business and although the last few I have had some reservations about how this business is run and the way the coaches “motivate” children, I kept making excuses for them because it was where my daughter had made connections and spent everyday after school 3+ hours a day. In their favorite words, “my perception is”... DO Not go here if you value your own ability to voice any concern. The moment we did we were personally, and verbally attacked and three weeks later dismissed from the gym. This was after one of their head coaches made my daughter stand in front of her and another gymnast as this coach told this gymnast not to be friends with my daughter, to not hang out with her, that my daughter is not a good person, does not listen and not a good influence. My daughter doesn’t get in trouble in school, helps others in need and was even on Gymkix’s very own (LIT) Leaders In Training program where she helped in younger classes. She was personally asked by this coach multiple times to come help her classes. After I raised a concern the problems started getting worse. My daughter had already been being treated poorly a lot before the complaint but it got even worse after. I was roped into an ambush of 4 coaches and myself when I only asked for a phone call from the owners. The owner personally attacked my daughter and I the entire night, I had to tell her multiple times that attacking behavior will not fix the issue of my daughter and other gymnasts not feeling safe to talk to the coaches and confident that they resolve issues appropriately and without retaliation. The main head coach even told the gymnasts that if their parents complained, the coaches would not correct their skills. This owner called us liars by saying it was all our perception and even went as far to tell me at the end of a very long night of her attitude and attacks that our issues were invalid. Even as the petty owner tried kicking us out of the gym forever that night, the coaches tried to salvage the relationship with my daughter as they comforted her from her distraught emotions from the owners behavior. They told her they would see her the next day and everything would be better. I wish that had been the case. The next day was ok, awkward, but ok. Then the ice storm hit and when my daughter returned upon their reopening she came home again and again very upset of how she was being treated differently from the other girls. The owner took it upon herself the last night one of her coach’s acted like a mean girl bulling my kid, to not allow me to speak to any of the coaches. I contacted three coaches and was ignored except by one who said she would call me but never did. Instead we received at late night email dismissing us from Gymkix. I have since met so many parents that share their same concerns and same story of dismissal from this business because they brought up a concern. My daughter is now in a loving gym that values every gymnast equally, works with everyone the same and even talks to parents at the end of the night willingly. Please think of you and your child’s mental well being of you decide to give Gymkix a try. Unfortunately, the true nature will arise and if you raise a concern, you will be dismissed. I’ve had no issues with any of the other owners but they too have not returned and of my emails that raise any concern pertaining to their gym leadership. I’ve even received a statement of billing for the month of April. Good thing I had common sense when another parent advised me to change my card on file or I’m sure they would have charged me even after their rude and untimely dismissal. My daughter was set to compete just 4 days later and because of their pettiness she will not be able to compete this year. “My perception” was that this was an already planned final screw you from the petty owner!

Gymkix is probably The Best!!! place for children in Central Texas.
1. Gymkix is a one-stop shop: They offer different classes from dancing and gymnastics to cheer and fun camps. They probably offer more since we left loooooong time ago.
2. An after-school place to engage kids in an active and healthy lifestyle.
3. We got to Travel! One of my favorite things was: Gymkix offers opportunities for your child to travel and meet many new faces through workshops and competitions.
4. Lastly, Gymkix is operated by a very humble, God-loving family! I am always amazed by Mr. and Mrs. Bennett and their two daughters, Stephanie and Carrie. They are extremely professional, very caring, and they always seem to keep up with the latest trends of the business. As young as they are, I have to say, that these ladies are better leaders than many people I've known in my military years and in my profession. Also, they hire the Best Staff Members!!!

We left Central Texas about seven years ago when we moved but, I always wish there's a place like Gymkix for our 8-yr. old daughter. I feel that we are doing an injustice for not enrolling her in a similar program but, I haven't yet found the right place. I wish I could drive back and forth 2.5 hours everyday to take her to Gymkix.

Obviously, I am not writing this review to get a discount but, I sincerely believe that placing our son in Gymkix for about four years impacted his life and his character. He is now a senior in high school, ranked #5 out of 788 in his graduating class, being looked at by the ivy leagues schools...a great student-athlete. In fact, everyone that was in the same dance and gymnastics classes with him turned out to be very successful young ladies and gentlemen. Thank you Gymkix!!!
