⭐ One Star

I enrolled my three- and four-year-old daughters in this gymnastics program and was very disappointed with the instructor’s behavior toward my youngest. The teacher for the three-year-old class showed a clear lack of patience and spoke to my daughter in a belittling tone when she needed redirection. My daughter just turned three years old.

Other parents in the class noticed the interaction and asked if I was comfortable with the way the instructor spoke to her. Which says A LOT. Afterward, another parents shared similar discomfort and concerns about the same instructor’s impatience and harsh tone with the younger children. One parent mentioned she was planning to withdraw her child from the class.

I enrolled my child to have fun and stay active, not to be disciplined.
I’m the parent, and discipline is my responsibility — not yours.

Not to mention they make your child sit out if they feel like they’re not listening. How embarrassing and degrading to the child…and INSULTING TO THE MONEY I PAY.

When my ex-husband brought this issue to the director, we were told that another complaint had already been made. However, this situation reflects a deeper issue. At this age, children are still developing, curious, and learning appropriate behavior. They need patient guidance and positive redirection, not criticism or belittlement.

For these reasons, I absolutely would not recommend this gymnastics program for young children.

Sincerely, a pissed off mom who does not play about her money or kids!

We live right next to the other gymnastics center on this side of town. However, Gymnastics of San Antonio provides a better summer experience for my 10 yr old kiddo. It is worth the drive!
My kiddo was very shy but obsessed with videos of gymnasts on YouTube and wanted to learn more than cartwheels. GoSA’s 3 week summer program was goal-focused and very fun. The coaches are so friendly and my shy one has blossomed into a confidence. We are so grateful to the team there. They keep things interesting by taking them out to eat for lunch and going swimming. Again, this program is far superior to what the other place offered us last year (not much power, honestly). We are looking into classes here during the school year, too. Thank you, Gymnastics of SA!

Thank you to the staff and teachers for their patience with my 7yo granddaughter. She started out fearful and reluctant, but after just a few weeks of their constant encouragement and understanding, she's decided now she Loves ❤️ Gymnastics! and truly looks forward to her weekly class! All her classmates are thriving in their hands, and it's wonderful to see them all celebrating their achievements and progress in this nurturing environment. Special thanks to Brianna, Daniel, and Dolores!

My daughter (age 10) just completed one month of summer camp. Every week was a new experience. She enjoyed it to the fullest. We will definitely be coming back next summer. Already looking for Fall classes.

Took my daughter to the kinder class and it was fine the first 30 minutes but once my daughter got scared and nervous of things she’s never tried such as a tall balance been. The teacher didn’t have patience with her. She wouod sigh, throw her arms in the air, and roll her eyes at a 3 year old. Very unprofessional and lacking awareness of young children who need patience to learn new skills.

Editing my review because the issue I observed with safety has been resolved. The staff have been attentive at open gyms and have been monitoring the children to reduce the risk of injury. I love bringing my kids to the open gym here. It's an affordable and fun way to release some energy and play. My girls also look forward to the snack they provide at the end.

This is NOT a safe space for children with a disability, although staff claim otherwise. Multiple coaches ignored my daughter when she became upset because they would not help her when she was unable to do what was asked of her, which led to her becoming more upset, being further ignored, and having a full meltdown. Multiple times. By multiple staff members. Parents of other kids stared and gave us ugly looks. Staff claimed it was my daughter's and my problem as they were able to help other kids with no problems. Our experience here was completely disappointing and off-putting.

This place is awesome. My daughter LOVES coming here, and LOVES Coach Lexi. Lexi broke through my child's apprehension and shyness, and I've seen her bloom in Lexi's care.

The office staff are all professional and understanding, and have been gracious with my concerns and requests.

Definitely recommend.

We have been there over 1 month and so far the feeling for this place is blah. First off, the customer service at the front desk is awful!! When you approach the desk, they don't even get up from their desks unless you ask them to. They expect you to speak loud enough (with all the background noise) so they don't have to get up. Folks, this is the front desk - it should be the where you SET THE standards for great customer service. Get up and greet your customers with a SMILE on your faces!! Remember first impressions make all the difference and the customers are the reason you are getting paid. Second, regarding class absences, people don't intentionally want to miss a class. Life happens, so please more flexible. Remember, Happy customers = MORE customers. As for the coaches, we are happy, so no complaints here.

2nd month with them. It was cool so far not great but good for the money $249.99/ month one session a week for 3 kids. Good intro 101 for gymnastics . We had an emergency couldn't get the kids to their Saturday gymnastic session (once a week, on hour) . They told us prior to signing up that they offer make up. I called them inquiring for the make up. And for us coming Saturday, our make up day is Saturday at 2pm. Could you have an other day ? And the lady on the phone says no. My turn to tell her that our regular one session is Saturdays from 10-11am . And you want us to show up for the same day twice! I was stunned. They are not professional, to over workout a 3 , 4 and 8 year old kids, I preferred stopping having business with them and look for better in San Antonio. She did not even trying to accommodate us. This is the customer service at gymnastics of San Antonio. To us they are up to no good. Go try yourself. Have a nice day.

Update. You see , this is how unprofessional they are. You would have thought from the owner response that we talked and they gave us a kind of explanation. Oh no! They didn’t even care . Again just to tell you they don’t care. I am talking about a 3 years 0 month and a 4 year old kid to have gymnastics class done from 10am-11am on Saturday and come back the same day at 2pm for an other one hour session. Brief if you just posting something to say you are replying to your customers fine , but stop twisting the truth about our experience . We practically paid a full month without attending, right? We never ask for a kind of refund. Also when you And you say you are not overworking the kids. This is just 101 gymnastic for their age group . You are unprofessional and please do not think you were a great gymnasium for us. Price was okay, and we know and understand that it is expensive to maintain the equipments, .... Just be honest and upfront with people do not discriminate. Have a nice day.

This gym is wonderful. The wonderful owners, Tye and Shelly make all the difference. The prices are fair and the coaches are wonderful. They have a variety of classes ranging from mommy and me classes, toddlers, school aged, and even team classes. Don’t forget to sign up for an adult open gym to have some fun for yourself! 10/10 would recommend this gym to anyone I know!

We have brought our daughter here for about a month now and she has done great. She typically has Coach Jerry but at times she will have other instructors. I have never encountered any issues with the instructors and they are all great! She loves gymnastics and looks forward to coming every week. I am so happy with how much she has improved and by how enthusiastic she is to learn new things. The coaches are also so patient! A toddler doesn’t always listen but they help her and do not get frustrated by her tantrums if she has one. My only feedback for improvement would be the receptionist. It seems as if she is always in a bad mood or is bothered by a question. Other than that Gymnastics of SA is great and we love it!

My kids went there for over six months, both classes and parent nights out. The classes were fine. One night at parents night out, we picked our oldest up and discovered he had a bloody tongue, while our youngest was sobbing. Accidents happen, but the coach in charge didn't tell us anything had happened, and when asked why our kids was bleeding he was very dismissive. I emailed the school explaining the situation and withdrawing my kids from classes, and in response got a generic message the days later asking how my son was doing, then another call a week later saying they missed us and asking when we'd be back. Accidents and mistakes happen, and if they're handled with accountability and ownership I'm forgiving. This situation wasn't, so I'm not.

I think the owners have good intentions and seem like nice people, but the accountability and maturity their staff demonstrated was terrible.

The gym smells strongly of feet and it is extremely small. The floor has no bounce to it and all their equitment is very old. The gym does have some perks like their pit and their open gym but overall I would not recomend this gym.

My daughter has been attending San Antonio gymnastics for about 3 months, and I have been extremely unhappy with their services. I was introduced to one coach when she first started and right after her second class she had a new coach which I consider extremely rude, because he never took the time to introduce himself as her " new coach" As a parent, I want to know what kind of person is training my child. Not only do they have horrible customer service, the gym reeks like mold. I won't ever recommend this gym to anyone. I actually found several other gyms that look a lot nicer and a lot cheaper here in San Antonio with great reviews.

They offer great recreational and competitive programs at fair prices! This is a family owned business, and the owners are compassionate and strive to create a safe environment for kids. Their Parent's Night Out is great and is offered monthly. The preschool playtime gave my son the opportunity to improve his motor and social skills.

The summer program was terrible. The place smelled like sweat the children where left in wet bathing suits after they came back from swimming. My daughter became ill and missed an entire week and they didn't even bother to call to make sure she was ok. All they did was take the 3 week up front payment and that is the last I heard of them.
