I cant say enough great accolades about the hardcore studio. I’ve love Wayne’s classes since the beginning of the start of the studio. The genuine care and approach to coaching and motivating us is top 10 plus. Cause it’s hard a he’ll but it’s fair. His positive and funny attitude and his ability to know everyone’s fitness level encourages a group success while being sensitive to our personal goals and limitations. All the instructor are great and professional but hard as hell too. Expect success! They will change your life and body. So grateful to Wayne for bringing Hardcore Pilates to Houston . 🩷🩷🩷 oh by the way my vote is for Wayne! Bu love the whole team🥰

Claire has been the kindest, most knowledgeable soul there is when it comes to the fitness world here in Houston! She knows her craft, she has so much patience with us, and she explains the “why” behind it! She deserves every praise she gets 😉

I can’t say enough good things about this studio! The studio itself is clean, pretty, and organized, the reformers are well kept as well. The instructors are so supportive and knowledgeable, and every class challenges me and leaves me feeling stronger. I recommend Athletic Pilates if you want to push your limits, sweat and lift heavier weights, Bouncelates if you want a fun approach on cardio, and Hardcore if you want a thorough full body workout, but all the classes are amazing! All the instructors are amazing in their own ways…here’s what I like about each of them…

Kellie: I cannot say enough good things about Kellie. I have been working out pre Pilates so I am pretty strong… her classes make me shake. Kellie balances pushing clients but still supporting their needs and abilities. She creates a class where everyone can take what they need depending on the day and their own body. Kellie is very good at explaining moves without taking you out of the flow, creating a seamless and cohesive Pilates class. Go to her if you want to test your limits!

Wayne: Wayne is so fun! His music is on point if you like older rap (I’m a fan). Wayne has a unique approach in his classes, heavier weights for less reps. Go to him if you want to work on obliques we work them every class without fail! He also incorporates cardio! I like it for sure! I especially recommend you go to Wayne if you are a guy trying Pilates. Great full body work out!

Claire: Claire is so sweet! She definitely packs a punch but is also great for beginners. Claire is very versatile, she can teach a class full of both beginners and advanced people no problem. Even in classes with beginners I feel challenged and satisfied with my workout. Her classes are challenging and allow you to take what you need from it. I love her flows as well!

Nazia: If you’re looking for a different, creative flow, go to Nazia! I would say Nazia is great for beginners but definitely don’t shy away if you are more advanced, just ask for advancements in the flow. Nazia’s classes keep me on my toes and I never know what we are doing next, I like it!

Erlinda: Not sure if she is still teaching….but if you see her on the schedule and you are looking for a slightly more traditional Pilates approach, definitely book her!:

Raina: Raina only subs classes….but if you see that she is teaching a class, please take it. She is so funny. Her classes are definitely hard but I laugh the whole way through so the time passes like nothing.

I would give 100 stars if I could. I’ve been a regular client for about 15 years and the Hardcore community is something special. Wayne and Claire are a dynamic duo offering a variety of classes as well as private lessons that truly do “Keep your core tight!” as Wayne likes to say. When you are consistent and take classes regularly you will undoubtedly see results!!

Hardcore Fitness is simply the best! I’ve been coming here for quite sometime and I’ve never had a bad experience. Every single class type is amazing and will give you a great workout. Every. Single. Time. Claire is such an amazing person and instructor and will put you at ease if it’s your first time while also giving you a killer workout if you are experienced. I love this studio. Everyone really is a family.

As someone who's tried a lot of different studios through class pass, I can confidently say hardcore fitness is my favorite pilates studio I've ever been to! All the instructors are fantastic - supportive, knowledgable, and personable - and the studio and reformers are really high quality. Definitely will continue to come back, I'd recommend this place to anyone, of any fitness level, who wants to improve their health and have fun doing it!

I have taken Pilates from Wayne Davis of Hardcore Fitness for over 20 years. Wayne and Claire and their team of insructors offer a variety of exercise routines and movements to both improve strength and flexibilty and balance for both beginners to more experienced members. A class at Harcore Pilates is always fun with limited size classes and very attentive instruction. It is an integral part of my health plan and I cannot imagine life without Pilates at Hardcore Fitness.

I’ve been coming to Hardcore Fitness for about a year now, and I can’t recommend it enough! I originally started because my mom, who began Pilates while she was going through chemo, wouldn’t stop talking about how much it was helping her physically and mentally —so I finally gave it a try, and I’m really glad I did.

As an adult gymnast, I’ve really noticed the difference: the emphasis in core strength, postural alignment, and deep stretching have improved my flexibility and helped prevent the aches and injuries that used to sideline me.

Thank you coaches for always challenging me!

Wayne is a fantastic instructor, he was very diligent with hands on corrections, paying attention to form. We did a huge variety of exercises on the reformer and some mat and weights work. It was truly a full body workout, even more challenging than Solidcore in my experience. This has been my favorite Pilates class that l've taken so far, mostly due to the variety of exercises we did. I also love that the studio is on the smaller side with small class sizes, and the reformers were new and well maintained. The parking lot is a bit of a challenge with only a few spaces, and super tight spots, but Wayne noticed me struggling and actually came out to help direct me out. This was much appreciated. Next time, I’ll try for the street parking across the street.

I used to use ClassPass for years because it was worth it. But now that I found a studio that l love, the membership to this studio is more worth it. The membership itself is reasonable and all of the instructors are amazing. I’ve been to many studios and none of them take the time to take care of you. If you’re absolutely beginning they have a true beginning class and once your ready the all level classes are very accommodating to you and any injury’s. There is no judgement and you feel the sense of community even between the clients. The best studios here in Houston!

Great beginner class. It made the reformer less intimidating. Claire was a great instructor with teaching the basics of how to use the equipment. I also like that the class size was small and instruction was personal.

The reason for four stars…I used class pass and arrived a few minutes early, as suggested. I waited for about 5 minutes before being let in. This made me a tad bit uncomfortable.

Overall, I enjoyed the class and would recommend. 🤩

Coronavirus update:

They're doing small in-person classes mixed with virtual classes. In bounce, everyone's social distanced (and then some). According to fitbit, 1 hour bounce = over 600 calories burned, and 30+ minutes with HR in cardio zone.

My wife and I have been coming here since getting a Groupon a short while back. If you want to try out pilates or bounce, this is a great place to so it. If you want to lose weight, take the bounce or hybrid 'bouncelates' class. Everyone is super friendly here and you definitely feel sore the next day. Also, there's a consistent core of people that come that make up the hardcore community. I definitely recommend for anyone that sits in a chair all day at work like I do. :)

Pro tip: Keep their phone number on speed dial if you go in the evenings. Sometimes building management leaves the doors locked to the lobby and you need to call to be let in.

I first saw Hardcore Bounce on channel 26 news. As a stage 4 cancer survivor, my interest peaked when Claire, the instructor, mentioned that this workout helps move your lymphatic system. As soon as I contacted them my experience has been beyond amazing. She offers a free cancer survival class on Wednesdays. The class is fun and uplifting. I felt a difference on my lymphatic system right away. Claire is not only an instructor, she is a mentor. She is really interested and cares about each of her students. I would definitely recommend this studio to anyone!!!!

I’ve tried out Hardcore Pilates for a month now and I absolutely love the classes. They pay attention to your form and make sure you’re doing the workouts correctly. My waist is slimmer than ever before and I’m building muscle on my back that I never had before. I was a bodybuilder before and I saw more change on my body attending this class. If it’s your first time I would take a class with Wayne or Claire, they have been by far the best instructors for me.

Phenemonal place to workout. I am here almost everyday. All the coaches are awesome. Ms. Claire and Unique pay attention to detail in Pilates to make sure your form is proper.

If you are a runner like I am, you will most definitely enjoy the sproing classes with Mr. Wayne, Coach Lauren, Anissa, and Jermaine. Beware this class is not for the weak. The most calories I ever burned was 700 calories in an hour. Not bad huh?

If you like to have fun and dance on a trampoline, come and attend a Bounce class with Ms.Claire. Children are welcome. So come and get a good workout at Hardcore Pilates! You know you want to keep your core tight for the summer. 😊

Found this place via ClassPass and wasn't sure what I was in for. Attempted the combo Sproing & Pilates - sprolates (?) and had a good time. However the teacher has to focus on everyone so you just have to go with it. No attention in pilates and thank goodness for the sweet lady next to me in Sproing. Was disappointed that the instructions said to wear socks but people needed tennis shoes for the Sproing - so wear real tennis shoes. Not as sore or as tough as a workout as I wanted but the 'exercise' was new and different. Might attempt this again - here's a pic of what Sproing, disclosure, took it from Google.

I purchased this Groupon and I have yet to use it because it is so difficult to even get signed up for a class. You have to make a reservation for each class therefore you have to set up an account online. It was truly a hassle getting the account set up and I had to call several times. Now, even with the account half of the time there is no "sign up" button when spaces in a class are available. It should not be this difficult to go to a workout class. I want my money back.

I also had a Groupon and had a poor experience. From the person at the reception, who was pretty dismissive, to my very first session in class. The instructor said to the person next to me " don't look at her, she doesn't know what she's doing" Pretty rude in my opinion. The instructors never correct the form or adjust the workout for different levels. I have since gone to another studio that is so different and just miles ahead in teaching and customer service.

★ 2

I purchased a Groupon and have never done Pilates but could catch on just by watching my neighbor. This place is in an office building so it's difficult to find on your first visit. It's cramped and the instructor didn't do any correction on form which I take a big issue with since I've spent many years correcting injuries from bad form. It just seems like a place targeting masses and not particularly concerned with quality or customer service. When I arrived, I had a question for the lady at the front desk and she appeared annoyed that I had a question. Not impressed at all but again a business that relys so heavily on Groupon isn't going to be the best of the best. By the way, I went to the Kirby location. I've seen this business on Groupon and Bloomspot twice since I purchased mine. Not a great sign.

The people are nice and willing to work with you on scheduling private sessions at times that work for you. We only did private sessions, not group. The facility is a bit awkward. After normal business hours it is a pain to get to the facility as the building elevators are locked. They would benefit from moving.

The flavor of "pilates" they teach over-emphasizes strength and resistance training at the expense of fluidity of motion and balance. This is perhaps an over-reaction to west coast or "soft style" pilates. More springs are not better or even necessarily more difficult. If you are looking for a new way to bulk up then you may get something from hardcore pilates. If you want a strong, supple dancers body I suggest you look elsewhere.

I am not saying hardcore pilates is bad. It will work for some people and their goals, and these folks are professional and courteous. Just know what you are getting.
