This gym isn’t worth it. Expensive for what they offer. Their membership dept is very shady and unreliable, and getting straight answers is nearly impossible. Customer service is non existent. On top of that, the equipment is poorly maintained and a lot of it just doesn’t work properly.

I’ve been a member since June. Really enjoy the facility and the staff are all friendly and great. I mostly take different types of fitness and spin classes (also yoga) and all the instructors are excellent and dedicated to their craft.

I’ve been going to HCI in Bee Cave, TX for my morning workouts, and it’s a great place to train. The gym is spacious, clean, and well-equipped, with plenty of machines and free weights for all kinds of workouts. Even during busy hours, it never feels crowded because of how well the space is organized.

One thing I really like about this center is the variety of activities it offers — from basketball and pickleball to several scheduled fitness classes, so there’s something for everyone. There’s also ample parking, both open and covered, which makes coming here super convenient.

Some of the equipment could use a slight upgrade, but everything functions well, and the overall environment stays positive and motivating. The gym has a great community feel and is perfect for both beginners and regulars.

Overall, a solid fitness center in Bee Cave with great facilities and a comfortable atmosphere.

Been coming here for awhile now and they’ve gone down hill most of the staff is teenagers with a bad attitude which I didn’t mind but something that frustrated me recently was I came in with expensive “smelling” salt which is perfectly legal it was made by monster and I accidentally left it the day before and I came in the next day and I asked the front desk and they said that threw it away and that there was nothing they could do about it.

I cancelled my membership in person because they didn’t have the basketball gym open at all… They were closed down now for the remodel and I only come there to play ball which I normally love.

I have been working out here at HCI Sports and Fitness for a couple years now. I have noticed they have done really well the staffing recently. The staff is friendly and always trying to keep the gym a good environment for the members. I want to point out Esteban and Lamar in particular. I lift pretty heavy sometimes and they are always willing to go out of their way to step in and spot me when I need help, and I really appreciate that. It’s workers like these that leave a good impact on the gym and the members that deserve all the props.

Called ahead the day before to inquire about a pickleball court. Was told that I could just show up and play with a day pass and that the members are really good about sharing the courts. Drove 30 minutes from Austin with a friend to be told at the desk that there are no available courts.

BEWARE: PREDATORY BUSINESS PRACTICES HAPPENING HERE.

Had to cancel my membership after moving away and I cancelled on the 11th of June. Happy to pay the remainder of the month, but I’m being forced to pay through July 31st because they require a ‘1 month notice’ to cancel - as per the fine print in the contract. If this were a business that was dependent on renting out a space, or getting a new tenant in a space, I could completely understand the policy, but being that this is a gym, THREE WEEKS notice should be plenty of notice to cancel a membership. This is a policy put in place for no other reason than to exploit the customer for more money. Side note, I was a paying customer for 2 years and this is how they treat their paying customers.

This is a great facility for people that want to use courts. I come here for the gym portion only, and I don’t feel like it’s worth the price. I’ve been keeping my membership because I have multiple friends that come here. As they are looking for other options, so am I.

I have written multiple suggestions to management before writing this review. They’ve ignored me, so here we are.

Multiple machines have been broken for a while, and they don’t have backups. In these instances, I am left unable to complete portions of my workout. If management would correct the issues, I would be fine. I find it unacceptable that I pay such a high fee every month just for inattentive management and unmaintained machines. Another thing to add, forget about going there Saturday morning. There is no parking space, gym extremely crowded and no machines to use!

I’ve been working out at HCI for 2 years. I used to love it when I joined. It wasn’t crowded, their equipment worked, they had plenty of classes at night, there were “saunas” in the shower, and the changing rooms had Dyson hair driers. Now they don’t have any of that.

The leg press machine hasn’t worked properly for months, the leg extensions machine has been broken for weeks and they only have one machine of each. The treadmills are cheap quality and most of them are out of commission. The other day, I was running on one to find out that it wouldn’t slow down! You had to hit “cool down” or “stop” to reduce the speed! What an odd safety hazard.

I have repeatedly notified management of these issues and nothing has been done. It has been months.

To be clear, this gym is not cheap. I am paying a premium price for sub-par equipment and service.

Unfortunately, this area lacks good gyms and I hope that someone reading this review would decide to open a very needed nice gym.

I cancelled my membership April '23 and they said I had to come in to sign a cancellation form. Living nearly an hour away, it was a PIA to say the least, but I made plans to meet friends for dinner afterwards. I went in, signed the form and went on my way. Fast forward 6 months, I see I am still being billed! I called HCI and they basically called me a liar. I did my part by coming in to sign the form (I told them to even check security cameras) but they failed to process on their end. And even after you cancel your membership, you have to pay another additional month, so just be aware!

Been going to this gym for years! I LOVE it. I am an avid weightlifter and this gym is fantastic and provides so much. I especially love the kid care for my 4 year old. I’ve been a member since this place opened. Haven’t gone for awhile but went back today. Scanned my fancy metal tag and went to place my things in a locker. Front desk called me over and said my membership was cancelled and my family plan was changed to a different “base” membership with of course the same cost- kids and wife go all the time. I explained my family plan was never changed and I’ve been a member since this place opened. The kid at the desk could care less and told me I could work out for “free” today- what an insult- I’ve paid over $10,,000 to this gym since inception and he acted like he was doing me a favor. Place sold out and is more interested in having Instagram models taking pictures acting like they are working out on equipment versus people who want to work out and train. Used to be a great family place now like everything else poor client service and care less attitude. This is the best part- I told him I am never coming back and I’ll ask my wife to cancel and he said do you want to sign the cancellation agreement- how can I sign an agreement to cancel a membership when I am not a member? what a joke.

Amazing gym. I joined for pickleball but I love having this space to workout, go to a (good) class, or just even work at the Cafe. Staff is very casual in a good way. Wonderful gym!!! Been a member for over a year now. This place has everything. It's always very clean. Lots of machines. Multiple workout areas. Courts of all kinds. Overall the facility is very nice (customer service is always a hit or miss). We have been a member since they opened and the gym still feels new and clean. The variety of classes offered is also a huge bonus! My one complaint is the bathroom/locker room situation. With that large of a gym, it is very surprising that there are only 4-5 showers available for customers to use. Furthermore, they can afford Dyson blowdryers but can't offer shampoo/conditioner in the showers themselves (very odd IMO). I think because the gym does such a great job in all the other areas these are the things you expect. The little things definitely go a long way!

Very rude younger blonde girl working at the front desk. She waived us off when we showed up for a volleyball open gym that was on the calendar website. She said “I don’t think the nets are up” and turned away from us trying to work on something else. Confused, we stood there trying to make sense of the situation and she looked back up at us annoyed and said “I can ask my boss if you want but I don’t think he will want to put up the volleyball nets.” She was so dismissive. We love hill country indoor! The employees are super friendly & accommodating. My kids get excited every time we go. Coach Adam is so good with the kids & communicative, he's in charge of kids programs. Tami in charge of classes is awesome, there are so many options for classes, the instructors are top notch. Don keeps the place clean & just watched an employee going around cleaning the feet parts of machines. During the ice storm we used HCI as a refuge to shower and keep warm. Oh, the snack bar is legit with healthy non sugary options. This is the best gym we've ever belonged to!

Horrible coaching and refs. Our 3rd grade coach told our team at the end of one game “they were uncoachable!”. She should of been removed, nope.

Having all 1st grade teams play all second grade teams? In basketball?

Update: This afternoon’s game for 1st vs 2nd grade was a version of tackle basketball. No fouls EVER called all game, no need to dribble...just run up court! In every other league the ref tells the youngsters you can’t foul, you can’t tackle etc. I get that youngsters often travel & double dribble. In other leagues the ref blows whistle, kindly tells child you have to dribble, then allows play to go on. None of that here, complete chaos on both teams. I’m not sure what the ref was there to do?

I joined this gym last week and I’m IN LOVE. The classes are better than any I’ve ever taken, but just know...the class trainers ARE trainers... they won’t coddle you- they will push you to succeed... push you to push yourself...and that turns out to be a beautiful thing. I love that my 11 year old can do everything I do, she loves coming here as much as I do, which is great in the summertime. I do marketing so I would be doing a disservice if I didn’t at least offer advice for improvement, because as a company you never want to stay stagnant- it inhibits growth. However, I will say they are amazing and you should definitely check this gym out. It’s worth every penny. Here’s my advice to reach more customers.

Childcare: look into accommodating earlier ages even if that means training the staff...it’s worth it. New moms NEED this, not only for losing weight but for their mental health as well- there aren’t many gyms that reach the ‘new mom’ target market and thats a shame, because we need it. After having my child 6 months ago all I wanted to do was get back in the gym and waiting 6 months was my biggest hurdle, I would’ve joined much sooner if I could have. I don’t know how or what it would take to do so, splitting up childcare for infants...training to strictly handle the babies and their schedules, but you guys would benefit greatly by appealing to new moms that are yearning to get their body and mental health back....6 months is a lonnnnng time.

Supplements: possibly partnering with a reputable company that sells pre-workout/post workout products. Having a shot of pre-workout at the cafe before a workout would be amazing... or a shot of bcaa’s, a recovery drink after... find a company with a great product line and see if y’all can make some magic happen. Great earning potential for you guys as retailers.

Sad to say the facility is clean, well equipped and some staff is nice but there’s an overall feel of being nothing but a number here. I’ve been a member since the beginning and today was my last straw. I’ve been through multiple “Cube” changes through the changes in the studio and through multiple managers. Today I had an issue with customer service from the manager himself. After being told that I’m a longtime member and I’m going to cancel he shrugged his shoulders and said okay. Im tired of dealing with workers like this and I’m tired of dealing with all the issues my kids have from other undisciplined kids in the kids space. Literally kids walk around telling others they want to fight and just start hitting them! Don’t waste your money, it’s just not worth it.

WOW! Enormous complex offering SO much for a family or brood of kids to enjoy themselves by being active. There is a members only entrance, which allows access to the very top level full of equipment and even a running/walking track that varies in elevation. Visitor entrance offers access to fitness room, rock climbing, huge playscape maze, several ball courts, indoor soccer field and much more! Very clean, easy to see and access rooms, and they even have a big restaurant area where you can take a break and enjoy food and watch some tv while the kids play. Everything is great. My only complaint would be the machines in the weightroom were oddly selected. Though there are cable machines, there are also machines specifically for each exercise that you could use a cable machine for. However there are no calf raise machines, only 1 leg press, and only 2 flat barbell benches.

Affordable memberships and very friendly staff. The facilities are always clean and all equipment is in top shape. It can get busy mornings or late afternoons. Best time to go is between 1-4pm weekdays and fridays after work it is deserted. The guys overseeing the member services in the workout area are very approachable and friendly. Both Lamar and Nick have been very helpful to me each and every time. Women's bathroom is immaculate and has plenty of showers always available. The running track is very nice and the option to choose whether to work out or play basketball, pickleball or soccer with the family is a big plus. Out 6 yr old daughter loves the KidsCube area as it provides her with plenty of physical activity to get her work out done. Haha! Great job to all who make me love going to the gym. Our family of 5 will be faithful customers for years to come.

Good facility with lots of room to improve. Some of the grips we have with this place -

1. Sign up for towels? Come on we are all adults here. Stop with the sign up sheet already!
2. Gym is decent and clean, does not have a Smith Machine.
3. More group classes would be great.
4. Does not have squash/racketball even though these are indoor games and this is touted as an indoor facility.

Nice facility, but over priced. They side with employees who direct abusive language at their customers. Specifically calling the customers f-bombs and b******. When confronted about it, they did nothing. Upon complaining about it a couple of times, they said they would discuss it with him again. Not sure how that works, but in general, employees who use abusive and threatening language towards customers get fired. Be prepared to be insulted by staff and get no recourse.

Been 10 months member there, and definitely love this place! Staff there are nice and helpful. I started working out more after finding out several favorite coaches/classes in HCI. Really enjoy the experience there, highly recommend!

My gym! World class facility. All the courts are the best. The turf field is awesome, even uses lite green rubber pellets instead of the black ones everywhere else. Bathrooms and showers (individual) are always immaculate.

This place is so so clean that the cafe employee threatened to kick me and my child out because he didn't want to wipe the (wrapped and sealed) products every time my child touched them. My child is a 9 year old trapped in the mind of a two year old. The employee saw my child therapist and was aware of his disability, but when the therapist left he approached me to kick us out; needless to say I had spent $10 in drinks and snacks and in top of that I paid $15 to access this facility. It was a disheartening and humiliating experience, I wasn't even there for an hour that this happened. I'm sure there's a surveillance video and it would clearly show my child wasn't destroying or infecting property, in fact we were the only customers in that area and their sitting area is gigantic - there was only a couple watching TV and not spending. I hope Hill Country Indoor goes out of bussinees, if they treat paying customers this way when there's nobody then they won't thrive. Also, I believe the cafe employee not only discriminated my child for his disability but also because my child is very tan in summer and looks brown, the employee emphasized how "dirty looking" my child was. Hill Country Indoor hires bigots to run their bussinees, what a shame

This place is great I went there on a field trip and it was fun my favorite part is that you can play basketball there so that's the best part there's also volleyball soccer football and more so definitely reccomend for people that like sports it's like heaven there you can also climb there ok so yeah

This place is amazing! My daughter had a volleyball tournament here. Was very updated, clean, everyone was very nice and if you have younger ones they have a huge jungle gym and decent snack bar with plenty of seating.

Great facilities. Started when they first offered women's adult indoor soccer, but because they did not have enough attendance, those that were still willing to pay money to play ended up getting the short end of the stick. They last minute switched our schedule to a different day and instead of competitive play, it turn into just scrimmaging. I am greatful they refunded my money, but sad a quality women's league is not still offered. I understand from a business standpoint they have bills to pay and need to generate revenue, but maybe they could do a better job promoting and get the women's league going again.

My entire family loves the hill country indoor. My husband and I go for all of the awesome classes and member gym services. I also love dancers’ shape within Hill country indoor. We always know we will have high-quality teachers and a very clean and friendly environment. The staff is extremely high quality and extremely professional.Highly recommend!

This is an amazing facility. The staff is very nice and helpful and the overall facility is very nice and clean. The concessions had a lot of options for good prices. The courts were nice and well built. They had a playground and rock walls for people who wanted to do those and it was very fun! I loved this place and would go back again and again.

Nice facility but the parking attendants need to create a drop off lane for players to be dropped off or picked up. You have to go to the garage to drop off players for tournaments. With this large facility they should have factored that into the design for such an expensive venue.
