Gympass beware. No one answers the intercom or phone. So I came by for nothing and had to leave

Stopped in from out of town to get a workout in. Called a half dozen times over the course of the morning to verify they were open (in business) and no one ever answered the phone or the voicemails I left. So, I decided to gamble and walk there but needed them to buzz me in from the bottom floor to the elevator. Again, no response for 15 minutes until someone from another office let me in. Then, upon reaching the 9th floor, I needed buzzed in by an employee but still no one was around. I waited another 5 or 10 minutes for someone to show up. After finally getting in, the gym was completely empty and clean. It has everything you'd need for a solid workout, but charging members $10 every time they sit in the sauna is ridiculous when it's free at every other gym.

This is by far one of the worst gyms I have been in. The website says its state of the art. Could not be further from the truth. The only star I give here is due to the fact that the worker, Grisel, was trying to be very accommodating for me at the time of the visit, and the showers are clean along with what's provided. But other than that I can only say bad things. First, the hydromassage does not work, and from what I understood it has not worked in a while. Second, sauna is only available for one person at a time, and you need to let them know ahead of time if you would like to use it (along with there being extra fees depending on the membership tier). Third, the lockers are fairly small and dirty. Fourth, the running track has some dirty water spots on the ground. Lastly, the visitor parking in the premises will cost you $50... Yep.. you read that correctly. $50! So NO WHERE on the website does it talk about parking. When I spoke to the manager, she said the website mentions the parking situation, which is a total lie, it does not. Then she mentioned they could not validate my parking because the gym is not, quote, "not really part of the building." She said I needed to call ahead of time to find out about it. Mind you, I did call and no one answered. She ended up saying she could not do anything for me, and I needed to have park outside the premises. So I essentially paid 50 dollars to work out at their gym for 2 hours. The problem here that occurs in most customer services locations is that at times there is complete misinformation that is given to the client. And not only is the manager/owner aware of that, but their lack of accountability in the situation to resolve it.

Why work when you can work out? Great mid sized health club. I really like the indoor track, showers and free towel service. Never a wait for equipment, friendly trainers. Reasonably priced too.

Gym is clean and the cheapest I've found in down town. Has everything you need except a pool.

Plenty of cardio equipment, but very small free weight area. The running track was a nice feature, but couldn't help overcome the crowded areas. Around lunch time, you'll be hard-pressed to hit all of your exercises. Many older gym-goers will hoard dumbbells/equipment and there is only 1 set of each weight. Very few places to stretch and if you're not a gymnast, you won't find much space. Fee is cheaper than other gyms in the downtown area, but not worth the hassle. Used an introductory pass, but chose not to become a member.

Great gym downtown at a very attractive price point. The classes are free, they have a basketball court and an indoor track and the trainers are great. There is usually not a wait to use the weights.

Very nice upscale gym. Plenty of cardio equipment, free weights heavy enough for serious fitness enthusiasts (dumbbells up to 110 lbs, squat rack), nautilus equipment. Airy, friendly atmosphere. A walking/jogging along the perimeter of the floor with great view on adjacent buildings. Locker rooms with all the amenities you'd expect. Very friendly and professional staff!

Great location if you want to workout before, during or after your workday in downtown (closed evenings and weekends). The gym itself is OK. Needs some updates and some maintenance but has everything you need.

This gym is great for any type of workout that you need! They have plenty of treadmills, machines and free weights but also have a track, basketball gym and racquetball court which really help set it apart from others downtown.
It's good value for the money and the personal trainers/staff are all very friendly and knowledgeable. I recommend this to anyone working downtown who wants to get or stay in shape year round!

I just want to share how much I love the Health Club at Travis Place! The staff is so friendly and helpful. If you need a personal trainer Lauren Dufrene will help you meet your fitness goals. No matter your fitness level or physical challenges, Lauren can get you up, moving and feeling stronger. I don't know what I would do without her! The facility is conveniently located downtown, has a lot of equipment, a great locker room and is very clean. There is an indoor track spanning the perimeter of the club, that is great for running or walking in a climate controlled environment. There are also group fitness classes every day that make working out fun and challenging.
