I’ve tried several gyms and fitness classes around Austin, and without a doubt, Heat is my absolute favorite. 🔥 The workouts have the perfect balance of challenging and fun, but what truly sets this place apart is the incredible community and uplifting culture created by the coaches. Everyone supports one another and stays motivated together. If I could give Heat more than five stars, I absolutely would!

HEAT is the best - the gym, the classes, the coaches, and the community are unmatched.
A year after joining, I’m in the best shape of my life! Everyone is inviting, and the coaches make sure you know what you’re doing.
Ontop of the amazing classes and coaches, there’s frequent community events - like gym-wide field day, pool parties, yoga classes, comedy shows, happy hours, and a Christmas party - which build the community in and outside of the gym.
Definitely check out HEAT!

I have been coming to HEAT since pre-covid days. This gym has changed my life in many ways - paired with healthy eating it's helped me lose a considerable amount of weight and build muscle, and working out here 5x/week in the mornings has reversed my pre-diabetes. I was never (and will never be) a morning person, but the coaches and the campers are what keep me coming to 7am classes. Some of my favorites in no particular order are Coach Valentina, who encourages us to take our time and lift heavy, Coach Danny with his original workouts and unwavering optimism, Coach Sheena with her biting wit and uh....enthusiastic singing voice, and Coach Billy with his dry sarcasm and moody AF emo teen music. HEAT has always put their campers first. I was very impressed at how they weathered COVID - in the early days they kept us exercising by posting daily workout videos, and bravely invented creative and safe ways for us to work out in person as the pandemic progressed. Now HEAT has new owners, Haider and Danny, who continues this gym's awesome legacy. They've introducing cool new challenges and events, and really cares about their campers. Once Haider even helped me put air in my tire when it was flat. All this to say, I love this gym and will keep coming back! If you haven't tried it, you definitely should - their workouts are designed for everyone, no matter where you are in your workout journey.

From workouts that kick your butt (in all the good ways), to an amazing, helpful, and inspiring group of trainers and staff, to a passionate and fun membership community, there is truly nowhere that compares. I recommend it if you live in Austin or if you're just in town visiting. Plus, the owners are seriously great people and it's a small, local business you will feel great supporting.

One of the longest standing local gyms in Austin and there’s one reason why!! They are simply the BEST fit family anyone could have. I’ve been going to HEAT since 2009!! This is BY FAR the best bootcamp I have been to, NOT ONLY in Austin, but anywhere. The workouts are tough and different each time, challenging you to be better everyday without getting used to the workouts. You can tell the coaches all put a lot of thought and planning into each of their classes, not to mention coach Taylor has better playlists than John Summit. 100% recommend

If I could give 100 stars, I would! Look no further— Heat Bootcamp is the best gym, best workout, and the best community in all of Austin. The trainers and staff are the warmest and some of the most knowledgeable in the fitness industry. Classes are designed for all levels and non-threatening to any newcomers. Moving away from Austin and losing this gym was one of the toughest breakups I’ve dealt with and still unsure if I’ll ever recover. I miss you Heat. PS. Parking is never an issue and their late fees are fair and well explained online and in-person!

I’m hopping back on here to say that another year has passed and I’m still in love with this place so much. They are simply the best. I always feel welcomed and pushed in the most positive way. Keep up the great work HEAT! This is the world's most overdue review! I love HEAT Bootcamp and everyone associated with it. They offer the best workout in Austin in a fun, inclusive, diverse environment. HEAT has been my sanctuary since I joined in Fall 2016. I love group classes and I was looking for a new fitness home after my increasingly busy Real Estate business meant I needed to alter my workout times/attend at varied time slots and ensure that all the classes were challenging. I knew Coach Greg (shout out! He no longer coaches camps but you will see him in classes from time to time. He is a Personal Trainer and fellow Real Estate Pro too! ) and decided to give HEAT's classes a try. I went once and was HOOKED. I started going on Class Pass in the summer then bought a trial run then officially joined that fall. Over 1000 classes and counting and seven plus years later I am still a loyal member and super fan. The OG owner Cody created a dynamic environment that is welcoming to all. He even paused everyone's memberships during the COVID19 shut down and provided new classes for free to the public on YouTube six days a week until they were able to reopen. The torch has since been passed to new owners Haider and Danny. Haider is an entrepreneur with a passion for fitness and people and Danny is an amazing coach and personal trainer and now business owner who makes everyone feel seen in class and pushes campers to be their best. They have a taken an awesome boutique fitness studio and made it even better with more events, challenges, class milestone shoutouts and ways to connect and sweat. All are welcome-all fitness levels, all walks of life. I love my HEAT Fam! From the engaging front desk staff to the incredible coaches (seriously they all ROCK) and the enthusiastic members it's the best place to workout in Austin, period. P.S. they offer personal training too. Check 'em out!

It is a true place to build community as you get stronger and healthier for all levels of fitness. I’ve tried most of the gyms in Austin, and HEAT is by far the best. It prioritizes strength training while keeping your heart rate up, helping me reach my fitness goals. I’m always welcomed by kind, smiling faces—from the front desk to the coaches and fellow members. I’ve been a regular patron of HEAT since I moved to Austin in 2018 and I can honestly say it is the best workout, and more importantly fitness community I have ever experienced. As a former athlete and someone who has trained throughout my life, the classes and coaches emphasize “functional fitness” while ensuring proper technique and a good mix of movements to not only train every muscle group, but provide necessary cardio conditioning as well.
Nothing is better than starting your day with a HEAT workout followed by a Juiceland reward next door! 😘

This place is INCREDIBLE. You learn so many new workouts and work so many muscles than you ever would from going to a gym by yourself.
It’s basically personal training but in a small group setting. I’ve only gone to 20 classes so far and the results are outstanding. Very grateful and happy that I started going here.
Kim and Fabiola are my favorite trainers. They’re the only ones I really go to tbh. Their workouts and the way they engage with everyone is top notch. Not trying to throw anyone else under the bus but they really are the absolute best that I’ve experienced so far, especially for newcomers.
Get the 14 day trial for $50, it’s 100% worth it and worth checking out. Ended up canceling my $30 monthly membership at Planet Fitness and am now doing $150/month for HEAT and I have zero regrets. That’s how good it is. I never got these results at another gym by myself and reserving a class makes you feel more accountable for going so I appreciate the extra motivation.
I would 100% recommend.

I can tell you that heat is probably the best Bootcamp out there for a couple reasons. Our coaches have creative control over their class structure. So it lets their personalities shine. We focus heavily on community based approaches. This means that if you want to make friends here, you will have your opportunity to do so. The best part is the workout. No other gym perfectly blends structured strength training with conditioning. You will get strong here, you will make friends, and you will get to know your coach well.

I've been attending Heat Boot Camp classes regularly for the past 5 months now and am really impressed!
I've taken most of my classes with Taylor and Billy and really enjoy their teaching styles. They always have new workout plans built around working every muscle in the muscle group for that day, and they have a really positive attitude that helps me get the most out of each workout.
I would say the classes are formatted towards more advanced students but they show easy modifications you can make if you are a beginner. Over time I've really enjoyed seeing the improvements I've made!
One piece of advice I would give is to have one or two classes a week that helps go over some of the lifting techniques for beginners. The trainers always try their best to correct form but it can be tough when the class is large and you are rotating to the next station quickly since its a HIIT style workout.

I’m not usually someone who is great about sticking to a gym (or working out in general). I’ve tried just about every class option in Austin, and the only place I keep going back to is Heat.
The coaches are top notch. Equal parts knowledge, fun and discipline. Each has their own style, but I have never left a class disappointed (or not out of breath!). The classes are challenging, and push me to be a better me, without being unobtainable. And modifications are always not only allowed but encouraged to meet every capability.
But the best part is the community. Heat has built a family, one that is open to every single person that walks through that door. The regulars to the first timers, we are all One.
I always recommend people try a few different spots and workouts to really find their vibe, but be sure Heat is on that list.

I’ve been going to Heat for 3 years and can’t recommend it enough. The coaches are all fantastic and just fun entertaining people, many who I’ve become friends with. The workouts are great and you get out of it the work you put in. It’s a very inclusive community, not just of all demographics but ages, body types and fitness levels as well. It’s not intimidating like other bootcamp and the coaches push you, but in an encouraging way! Cody the owner has built a great community that supports its members and coaches. Come check it out for yourself, first camp is free.

I have been working out at HEAT for about a year; I take 3-4 bootcamps a week and work out with Sarah once a week for personal training.
I love working out and have been to all the studios/gyms (Equinox, Barry’s, Orange Theory, Rumble, SLT, you name it, I’ve tried it)—HEAT is by far the best, most challenging and fun place I’ve worked out.
What I love about HEAT:
- The variety. Every bootcamp is different. It’s a great mix of strength, dynamic movement, mobility, etc. Class is always challenging and you are encouraged to push/add weight/do more as you are able (OR NOT, also fine!)
- The coaches. Genuinely nice people who make it a priority to learn your name and help you with form, weights, alt movements, etc. They are upbeat, the music is great (esp Seth) and you can sense that they really care
- The space/equipment. They have an awesome range of equipment and everyone can always get what they need
Sarah is my personal trainer and is the best I’ve ever worked with. She is intuitive, obsessed with form, awesome at tailoring your workout to what you need. I’ve struggled with back pain after lifting in the past and have been able to lift more than ever before with Sarah with no pain. Cannot recommend her enough.
HEAT has helped me get in awesome shape and it has been fun along the way. It’s an amazing fitness community and workout!

I’ve been going to Heat since I moved to Austin over 2 years ago, and y’all, they are the pinnacle of training and bootcamp.
The community of people is stellar, the workouts are difficult but easily modifiable no matter what stage you’re at in your fitness journey, and they always keep the classes so much fun. Each trainer has their own personal style during their class, but I’ve tried almost every trainer’s class and have never been disappointed!
Heat has helped me get into the best shape of my life, and I couldn’t recommend them enough if you’re looking for a fitness community and amazing workout.

I moved to Austin three years ago. I was a member of Equinox but decided to try out this small gym tucked away in a small centre because it was within walking distance of my home. It was a lucky strike! I love this place; HEAT, the trainers, the facility, all of it. The location is spotless; everyone is warm, friendly, and helpful. My trainer, Sara Enouen, is exceptional, the best trainer I have ever worked with, and I have worked with many in NYC and Los Angeles. I'm the strongest and in the best shape of my life. I feel great and have been able to work harder and deeper without injuries. I highly recommend the gym and its trainers. It is the best experience of my time in Austin so far.

I’ve been training with Sarah on a weekly basis for about 6 months. My experience with both the gym and with Sarah have been overwhelmingly positive.
My experience with the gym: a diverse range of high quality equipment, friendly staff, great music, super clean, and a very positive and inclusive environment.
My experience with Sarah: Sarah knows the human body and its movements better than any trainer I’ve met before. Her robust body of knowledge and experience perfectly complements her observational abilities. This has resulted in me making significant leaps in my ability to perform complex exercises with perfect form. She is also an incredibly kind, positive and vibrant character who creates a fantastic experience every time.

I have been doing PT with Sheena F. for over 6 months now and I have to say that she is AMAZING. She does a great job of keeping you motivated during your workout and can get you to push yourself a little farther than you normally would on your own. The best thing about working out with her is that she really does take into account your goals and body limitations when creating your workout plan. 10/10 recommend.

As a person who never really consistently stuck with a gym or workout routine, everything clicked at HEAT. The staff are wonderful and welcoming. Even in a full class, you feel like you can get specific instruction when you need it. There is a variety in each workout with equipment and format. Even after 3 years, I leave each workout sweating and feeling like I was really able to push myself. And though it is challenging, it’s totally doable for any fitness level.

I've been a member of HEAT for many years and what I love most is how they care about their members/clients. They push you without yelling and make you want to do your best while you're there.
More importantly, I respect them so much for how they have handled business throughout Covid. They have consistently put the health and safety of all those who come through their doors as the first priority. They have upheld safe protocols to protect everyone and do what they believe is in everyone's best interest as a whole. I wish more businesses would operate from more of a place of care & concern than even profit. Proud to be part of such an amazing group of people and get an amazing workout!

There are two things you need to know about me: I hate commuting, and I hate working out. HEAT has single-handedly managed to override both of these lifelong prejudices. I currently live northeast of Mueller, yet I commute down south to HEAT Bootcamp almost every single day. That's almost 20 miles round trip, usually hitting downtown traffic both ways (I know; I should move just for the location...).
I also been able to find a rhythm, a community, and an actual love for the process of pushing my body and mind to do something that I don't want to do in the short term, in pursuit of something that will benefit me in the long term. It's taken me a solid decade to reach this point, and I credit HEAT for getting me here.
I've never found a gym that I love as much as HEAT, and I tell everyone I meet how much I love this place. (They pay attention because they're surprised to hear _I_ like working out!) You also get one of the best deals in town here: unlimited classes really motivates you to get your money's worth by coming as often as you can! If I could give six stars, I would.

I’ve been a member at several other gyms in my life, but this is the first one where I really truly felt a sense of community. Not only does it feel like the trainers are rooting for your success, but also the other members. Everyone is proud of you no matter where on your fitness journey you are or trying to get to. They make me excited to actually go to the gym and they don’t make me feel bad about myself on days where I just can’t give 100% (or any %). They just want to support you and put positivity into your life. I cannot recommend this place enough. Plus it’s very lgbt+ friendly without being “a gay gym”

Before moving to Austin, I visited HEAT while visiting a friend down here. The immediate inclusion, community-centered culture was inviting and the workout was HARD! I loved it. So when I moved to Austin a little over a year later, I came back to HEAT that first day I was here. Again, amazing (and covid safe!) workouts. I loved it so much I wanted to make it my home gym and have *proudly* since joined the training team. Highly recommend!

When I moved to Austin a few months ago, I tried dozens of gyms and workout classes. HEAT is far and away the best in Austin... for a few reasons.
1. The coaches: every. single. coach. at HEAT is encouraging, high-energy, and wants you to do what is best for you and your body. There is a serious focus on form, rather than just lifting heavy weights, and the coaches will take the time to help you correct your form, even in the middle of a class. Need a modification to an exercise? No big deal - they are always offered.
2. The atmosphere: when you go to HEAT, everyone in the class makes you feel welcome and like you are part of a larger community. I am the kind of person who is easily intimidated walking into a workout class for the fist time... not at HEAT. The people in my "pod" for my first workout were amazing, gave me tips about signing up for classes, and left me laughing throughout the class. This inclusivity has extended through every class I've taken.
Last but certainly not least.... 3. The workout: a combination of HIIT/Cardio/Strength Training that is different every time. You will leave feeling strong, confident, and SWEATY! Highly recommend taking advantage of their upper body/lower body focused workouts to give your body some time to rest in between sessions.
If you're looking for a sign to book a workout at HEAT - this is it!

Classes at Heat are often one of the highlights of my week! Cody and team show up everyday ready to encourage us, to push us further than we think we can go, and to provide an escape from the craziness of daily life. The entire team is next level - so fun, always a tough workout, modifications for those of us who can’t do a pull up yet (aka me) etc. I have absolutely gotten stronger since going to Heat, have see a change physically and have a community of people I look forward to seeing every week. Not to mention the way Heat opened its doors during the freeze in Austin in February - many people got water, took a shower, etc. at Heat. This is more than a gym (though you get all those benefits), it’s truly a community!

Joining HEAT is the best decision I’ve made in a long time. I was looking for a healthy + fun community to refresh my fitness routine after a long college cross country career, and I found that and SO much more at Heat. You won’t find a more caring, genuine, and ambitious staff than the one here—I feel supported and encouraged every time I show up for class. I’ve made incredible friends and found an unmatched community of people who are kind and ambitious.
Not to mention the WORKOUTS—the workouts are the perfect combination of a$$-kicking and fun. Each instructor brings something unique to the table and you’ll come to look forward to each of their classes for a different reason. I’ve made progress in each area that I wanted to and I know it’s because of the consistency I’ve been able to establish, simply due to how much I love this place and the people that make it.
I could not recommend Heat more; it exceeds everything you could want in a gym in every category.

I moved to Austin about two months ago and I never dreamt I'd find a gym as incredible as Heat. I called late one Sunday afternoon to ask about about coming in to try a class and the owner answered! He spent some time talking with me about the facility and what to expect, and answered all my questions. On my first day (which was free!) I was greeted by a friendly fellow at the front desk, given a tour, introduced to the instructor of that morning's class, and made to feel right at home. I have been struck by how incredible and immediate the sense of community is at Heat ever since! The workouts are killer, but made so that they can be done by any fitness level, which I love! The trainers and staff are all so friendly and motivating, too! I would struggle to say enough good things about them, and I sincerely look forward to seeing them every day! If you are someone who has been working out regularly forever, or if you're just thinking about getting back into the gym, do yourself a favor and check out Heat Bootcamp!! I cannot recommend it enough!

The classes here are absolutely amazing and motivating. But this is more than just a gym. When COVID hit, the owner went above and beyond to serve the community. He leant out equipment, no strings attached, and together with the wonderful coaches recorded free classes until they could open again. When the community lost power during an ice storm, once again he rose to the occasion, opening the doors for people to take a hot shower, get water and food, and get supplies to people in need. Join for the fitness, stay for the Heat fam.

Unfortunately, I moved to San Antonio, but if they had a location here I would sign up in a heart beat. During the last few months after talking to coach Danny about my diet, I was able to implement it and lost 20 pounds in addition to going to bootcamp classes 3-4 times a week. I really enjoyed the coaches I went to frequently (Danny, Greg, Pete and Cody) they were great! The schedules were perfect for me. I also LOVED the music and enthusiasm from the coaches. TL;DR: HEAT is an excellent team of trainers who serve up top quality interval-style strength and conditioning workouts for all skill levels.
I joined HEAT at the start of August and haven't looked back.
After my usual routine of cardio/weights at Gold's started to feel stale, I tried HEAT via a week's pass of unlimited classes to see if I liked it.
I loved it. I knew after the first session I'd sign up for the full monte monthly unlimited, and it's been the best health decision I've made all year.
I now go 3-5 times per week to several different classes: Butt/Legs/Core, Chest/Back/Arms, Full Body Conditioning, and Tabata with Dr. Maria, Sara, Coach Greg, Cody, and Rick.
Every class is challenging and meant to accommodate most skill levels. For example, campers in this morning's Conditioning class ranged from 20-something guys who could bench press me to women in their 60s.
Trainers encourage you to push yourself, and make whatever modifications you need to take it up or down a notch. This is not a CrossFit gym (thank God).
HEAT also regularly hosts events like post-camp happy hours, weekend socials, etc if you're looking to make friends with fellow campers and trainers--which you should, because they're awesome.

Took my first class at HEAT Bootcamp yesterday with Little Sarah. Don't let her tiny size and big smile fool you, she will tear that ass up! Her class was the perfect size for me, around 15 people. The environment is encouraging and supportive and consisted of all fitness types (even normies, like me!). Everyone works at their own levels of ability, but the type of exercises she had us doing made it impossible to not get an insane workout. The class was a 45 minute tabata style workout, so it was over fast and there's not an inch of me that isn't sore today. I will definitely be back for more!
