Been training with Gina for over a year and have been both enjoying it and seeing results! Gina helped me achieve specific goals through her coaching on diet, strength training, and mobility. I started going to Hill Country MVMT 2 months ago and would highly recommend the gym and trainers to anyone looking to join. I’ve been working with coach Barrett Smith for personal training and he is extremely knowledgeable and has built out a program that works well for me. I’ve been going to HCMVMT for almost 3 months and I cannot say enough great things about the trainers. As a women in my 50’s I have joined just about every gym and taken every class a person can take. After my 3rd ankle surgery and menopause taking over my “go to” ways of staying lean and fit were getting limited and I was struggling. Hill Country Mvmt is hands down my favorite gym. I love the energy and intensity of the Thrive 7:30 class—but Gina’s Women’s Empower class has truly become the one I look forward to most. Her class focuses on building strength, stability, and lean muscle mass, all with the goal of maintaining functional independence and supporting women’s unique needs. Gina is incredibly intentional with her coaching—always dialed in on form, movement, and overall wellness.

Barrett is the real deal! My husband and I went to Hill Country MVMT for an InBody scan and Barrett did our appointment. He wowed us from the get-go. His energy and optimism is contagious. When we got in the truck my husband (who has never been a gym guy, and has never had any interest in personal training) said “Wow, he’s so knowledgeable, I would definitely train with him.” I seized the opportunity immediately and we’ve been working with Barrett twice a week ever since. We genuinely love our sessions. He keeps us on our toes with the rich variety of movement every week. Barrett’s breadth of knowledge for not just building muscle, but for breath work, nervous system regulation, nutrition and retraining your brain is beyond impressive. He’s truly the best in the business and we are so grateful for our time with him.

I’ve been strength training with Bane for almost a year now & the results are awesome. At age 62 I’ve got the usual aches & pains but Bane tailors the workouts to how my body is responding. He pushes me but I never feel like I’m in danger of getting injured. He & his wife Gina have built a great gym surrounded by a friendly community. Love the vibe and the social meet-and-greets! Bottom line is I feel healthier, stronger, more flexible & I’ve got to credit the workouts to the fact that I was able to stop taking my BP meds.

I can't say enough about Hill Country MVMT. SInce I joined 7 months ago, my life has transformed. With two young kids, I needed a place to show up in the morning and get strong and be well so I can show up strong for my family. Bane and his team has provided that and so much more. My husband & I both joined Hill Country MVMT at the end of 2022 after moving to the Dripping Springs area. We started out personal training with Coach Sydney, which included a nutrition consultation & in-body assessment to help us understand where we were at & what we needed to do to achieve our goals. Once we got the basics of strength training down, we’ve shifted to the group classes taught by Coach Bane or Coach Sydney which are awesome! I love that the classes are intentionally limited in size, which means you still receive 1:1 feedback from the coaches to make sure your form is on point, options for modifications, & encouragement to push yourself. If you’re looking for a gym that combines an amazing workout with a fun, family friendly environment & great network of clients, this is the place to go!

Quality gym with quality coaching! I started working out at HCMVMT at the beginning of the year with zero weightlifting and/or HIIT experience, and while it was intimidating at first, I quickly felt at home due to the welcoming environment from Bane and all the members. Regardless of the class size, Bane is great at looking out for me to ensure the correct form is being used (which was a concern of mine) all while being encouraging along the way. I'm hesitant to provide this review because I'm greedy and I want Gina all to myself :) I've had the opportunity to work with Gina for close to 6 months and I can honestly say she is the best personal trainer I've ever had! She immediately zeroed in to my goals and formulated sessions that I both needed and enjoyed. I wanted to both lose weight and develop muscles through foundational strength training, and after 6 months, I have lost weight, gained muscle, and most importantly, improved my form and mobility issues. She is extremely thoughtful in her programming, which has enabled me to go from not being able to squat below parallel to fully squatting 120 pounds. Highly recommended!!!

I joined Hill Country MVMT about a year ago and it has been a huge part of my weekly routine. Previously I had done CrossFit for 5 years, but was looking for a change. I mainly wanted to focus on cardio, strength, and agility. The MVMT 45 class is perfect for me and has helped towards my fitness goals.
Bane and Gina pay great attention to detail and make sure members focus on quality over quantity. Each movement is clearly described and demonstrated. Every workout is displayed on a large screen, which is great if you're like me and become forgetful while sweating through a workout! One thing I appreciate is that the coaches provide scaled modifications of every movement, so any workout can be completed.
The gym is well equipped and has a nice family vibe about it. The scheduling tools are amazing and can be accessed from your mobile phone. I encourage you to not be intimidated and give Hill Country MVMT a try! You won't be disappointed :)

This gym is the BEST EVER.
They actually TEACH you how to lift. They care about form and technique and are passionate about teaching you the correct way to lift over pushing incorrect form, too much weight or too many reps. They challenge and encourage you to show up as your best self for each workout leaving you feeling achieved each and every time you are there!
They are willing to check in with how your body is feeling, how you’re doing personally, and check in with you when you have been MIA.
The coaches create an amazing community with occasional community events, bouncing playlists, and achievable workouts!!
I walked in feeling out of shape, scared to get injured, and not knowing how to lift! Now I am in the best shape of my life, I am confident in my lifting, and I am stronger than ever.

Since joining the MVMT, my body has never looked and felt better (that’s saying a lot considering I played sports through the college level).

Hill Country Movement is great place to workout. Regardless of your fitness level or experience, Bane and Gina have multiple class types and modifications for just about anyone and they really go above and beyond for their clients. Personally, I enjoy the class atmosphere vs just having a gym membership - it keeps me motivated to stay consistent which is the most important part of staying fit. They’re equipped to workout everyone from beginners to seasoned athletes, GREAT! There are enough programs so everyone can find the perfect fit for what they need, AWESOME! When i joined i thought i was pretty familiar with weight lifting/ barbell work. However little did know i had so many movements that needed to be refined. Gina and Bane are sooooo good at helping clients with this. They have a keen eye while coaching and its very apparent they are super passionate about their clients growth in the gym. I feel like I leave each class learning something i can improve and the how I am going to do it when i show up again.

I joined this gym in April of 2019. I have worked with both Gina and Bane in the past and knew I was going to love it! They gym is conveniently located in Dripping Springs and has many different classes to choose from, which is perfect for anyone looking for a quick or long workout. From the 30 minute class to the 60 minute class - you will get your heart pumping and on your way to reaching your goals! Both Gina and Bane are very knowledgeable in all aspects of fitness. From making sure you are doing the movements correctly to helping you navigate a nutrition routine. I can't say enough good things about this gym. Come try a class - you won't be disappointed!

From the day I met Gina to discuss personal training options I knew I would enjoy working with her. She is just the right mix of detail-oriented instruction and warm, friendly conversation. As a physical therapist, I know enough about my body and how it works to be confident in a gym. But I wasn’t. I would overthink, overdo, and underachieve. I came to Gina hoping to find the motivation and mental break I needed. With Gina and Hill Country MVMT, I got even more than I’d hoped for. Gina (and Bane) have years of experience in different fitness settings so you know you are not the worst or the first they’ve seen at your level. ;) They sincerely want to make your training or fitness experience fun and challenging. I have been training with Gina for almost 5 months and she still keeps it new and interesting as well as challenging enough to take me to my next level. She pushes you to do more than you thought you could, but also gives consistent cues for helping you work smarter, not harder. I’ve already gone down a pant/dress size with only loosely watching my nutrition. But with Gina’s nutritional knowledge and common sense approach to food, I’m getting even better about my eating habits. I know I’ll continue to see the fat losses and muscles gains I want!

I have been training with Bane Evans, co owner and coach at Hill Country Movement now for over seven years, prior to meeting Bane I was not a big gym guy, I was in my early 50’s and finally had to accept I was overweight, unhealthy, and unfit even after endless expense on home gym equipment that although bought with good intentions was hardly ever used.
So I had to make a change. Not easy for me always working, never having enough time, etc, etc, etc. Bane changed my perception of what I could achieve. When I started I couldn’t do a single air squat, now I am back squatting 245lbs without thinking about it. Over time with persistence (on both sides), and commitment I have gone from 210 to 195 lbs. not a huge weight drop, but more significant, I have gone from over 29% body fat to 18% and I am still working on that. (My Insurance company loves it), and my wallet loves how much they love it. I now actually look forward to my time in the gym, getting away from normal work is a welcome break, and I miss it when I can’t get there.
I would highly recommend the Hill Country Movement program to anyone looking to improve their quality of life, health and well being, its not just a gym it’s a wellness program, mind and body and it works.

If you’re looking for a comfortable place to achieve you’re fitness goals, you don’t need to look any further. Bane and Gina keep it interesting and at the same time make you feel comfortable.
