Okay, this studio gets it. Hot Box in El Paso is the real deal when it comes to hot classes — no gimmicks, no fluff, just pure fire (literally). I dropped in for a hot Pilates class, and from the moment I walked in, everyone was smiles, greetings, and genuine warmth. The vibe was welcoming, the energy was high, and the class? Next level.

I’ve taken a lot of hot Pilates and yoga over the years, but never with a male instructor — and wow, he absolutely delivered. From start to finish, the class was intentional, challenging, and perfectly balanced. We used bands, dumbbells, blocks, and towels — everything was provided, which I love. The room was dark, the music was vibey (think transient EDM that keeps you in the zone), and the heat was real. This isn’t infrared — it’s that old-school, steamy, humid heat that pushes you past your limits.

Pro tip: hydrate hard 24–48 hours before you go. Bring a big water bottle (or two). I had to sit out part of the squat series because I started to feel lightheaded — but the instructor immediately noticed, turned a fan on me, and checked in multiple times. That level of attentiveness is rare. He even handed out chilled, essential-oil-soaked towels at the end of class and pressed them gently on our eyes and temples while cueing deep breaths. All the senses were hit.

There’s no shower (well they’ve removed the knobs so you cannot access the shower , when I asked about the shower the owner explained how hard it would be to manage 1 shower and 2 classrooms full of folks wanting to use shower- which I totally get ), but there are three bathrooms — two downstairs and one upstairs , plenty of places to change clothes after class— plus a massive room & cubby area to drop your stuff so it never feels crowded. The studio itself is beautiful, with a bold mural at the front and such a great community vibe. A regular even helped me out mid-class — total team energy.

This is not a beginner-friendly class, and I mean that in the best way. It’s intense, sweaty, and humbling — exactly what you want when you sign up for something called Hot Box. I’ve practiced yoga for about 20 years all over the country, and this studio officially made my top three nationwide.

The drop-in fee was $30, and it was worth every penny. My only regret? Not snagging that cute Hot Box sweater before class (front desk was empty afterward). Lesson learned: buy your swag before you get drenched.

If you’re looking for a studio that’s tough, authentic, and packed with good vibes — Hot Box is it. Come hydrated, come ready, and come to sweat.

Very first yoga experience...green as a freshly mowed lawn! For some context, I’ve been wanting to practice yoga for years, primarily to achieve the goal of touching my toes. Back in the early 2000s, I moved to Europe, and a few years later, I met my best friend who is really into yoga and now lives in New Mexico. He took his first yoga class in El Paso with a guy named Matt at Hot Box. Fast forw2ard to January this year, I had to move from Europe to Chicago, and last weekend, I flew down to hang out with my friend, who brought me to my first-ever yoga class. In class, moments before Matt begins, I find myself neighbored next to a lovely Asian lady who seemed to radiate calm. We exchanged pleasantries, and I admitted, “I’m new and have never done yoga.” Without missing a beat, she sweetly chirped, “This is Pilates with a smile.” I replied, “Never done that one either…” To which she gave me the sweetest look and said, “you’re going to pass out!” not too much longer, just a few poses later, I was this close to meeting my maker! But fear not! My yoga guardian angel reminded me to control my breathing. Later she even said, “This is addictive.” And she was right! Now I’m back in Chicago and have already booked four classes for this week, plus I made the waitlist for a 6 AM class. Thank you all for the AWESOME experience, a big thank you to Matt, and a shoutout to the wonderful lady next to me! And last but not least, the homie - Foster!

I’ve been coming to this studio for a little over a month and I LOVE it!! The owner, Kat, is super friendly, as well as all the yoga instructors. They really care about making sure your form is correct when doing certain poses. The hot classes are HOT, so definitely come prepared for that!

I attended the studio for about 6 months. The classes I took were well instructed and offered various levels of difficulty. They do offer supplies/materials if you have forgotten or don't have certain supplies.
However, the schedule of class times is VERY limited, their first/earliest non-senior class is at 10 am, and it's the only class available in the morning during the week. If you're an early bird this is not your studio. They do offer 1/2 evening classes everyday but Friday/Saturday.

Secondly, I personally do not think the studio is maintained in it's cleanliness to the best standards. The bathroom ceiling fans had what seemed to be the same dust the entire time, and my motto is everything is interconnected. If the bathroom isn't getting the best cleaning neither is the studio.

Lastly, this is ultimately what led to the three stars, the check in lady/owner doesn't seem very friendly. IMO I'm not sure if it's that she isn't friendly or her staff is just so much friendlier than her that it makes her seem aloof.

Gracias Hot box yoga 🧘‍♂️

Definitely have felt at home more and more over the past few months. The atmosphere is exquisite with nothing but good vibes and instructors that know what they're doing. Every class contains different challenges but every instructor has been nothing but welcoming. I don't think there's any other place in El Paso like it.

I found Hot Box Yoga by accident 6 years ago. So happy to be apart of this beautiful yoga community. This studio has helped me cope with the anxieties of nursing school and gave me something to look forward too on hard days. I hope more people get to experience the love of Hot Box Yoga.

I have been attending this wonderful yoga studio for 8 years now, and it has truly become a home away from home for me.This place is not just a studio; it's a sanctuary of serenity, a hub of happiness, and a den of delight. You'll feel like you've found your zen tribe, and you won't want to leave. It's my secret recipe for a happiness boost! In a nutshell, if you're looking for a yoga studio that's equal parts zen and wild, where sweat and smiles go hand in hand, look no further. This place is a one-way ticket to yoga paradise. Highly, like SUPER highly, recommend!

Hotbox has been my go-to hot yoga studio for about a decade. It is hands down the best studio in town. The instructors push you to your limits, creating an environment for growth of practice like no other. I have taken classes at tons of studios across the nation and a common theme seems to be that the "hot" yoga classes are never hot enough... But that has never been the case at hot box! If you want to take the heat intensity down a notch they also offer warm classes that are relaxing and cater to all levels. Do yourself a favor and book your next class here!

I attended yoga classes in Denver for 13 years After I had my son, I hadn’t been back to a class (9 years) We moved to El Paso 5 years ago and my mother purchased me gift card to HotBox this year. I am so grateful I am back in class. Its just isn’t the same doing yoga at home. The instructors at HotBox are all uniquely different and I love it. The ambiance of the rooms to the lobby are perfect. Thank you for creating such a beautiful and peaceful place to practice.

Great studio, but not a fan of the refund/rescheduling policy. I injured my arm the night prior to my scheduled class. The following morning I called the studio in hopes to reschedule, but they wouldn’t allow it. I was hoping for a little compassion, but instead I lost my $17 slot. Its a shame because I was prepared to invest way more time/$$$. The search for a welcoming and compassionate yoga community continues.

Update November 2021
Finally got around to going to a class. The studio has a nice vibe. The classes are moderate to hard. Instructors are well organized and attentive. Personally, it was too hot for me to have a good workout, mostly just sweating and getting dehydrated.

*******Summer 2021
Unfortunately I cannot speak to the quality of the instructors. My review is of the experience with management.

I'm new in town and was interested in trying the studio out. When I was finally able to make it to a class, El Paso flooded. Literally like Noah's ark level flood lol. The city was shut down.

Hot box did credit my $17 for the next day. The following day, traffic was heavy, 35+ mins and I showed up 3 minutes late. They have a strict no late entrance. No problem. Totally understand, it's disruptive to the other students.

I requested to reschedule a second time. They said no because they already rescheduled on the day of the flood and they are a small business struggling financially. They were polite and nice but did not seem welcoming to new students.

I found another studio, Surya yoga. It's solid. Reminds me of a studio I went to when I lived in Philadelphia. They have great new student trial prices. $20 for one week of unlimited yoga. Or a little more new student unlimited yoga for one month! Also, they are not sticklers for showing up on time which is very important for me.

The class was not heated thankfully because I was dripping in sweat by the end. The instructor was awesome, organized and good tempo. And! They did inversions! Handstands and all. It was fantastic. Very welcoming. Good vibes!

Yooooooooooooo im a believer. I feel this is very beneficial for the body. Probably once or twice a month. Im 3 pounds lighter. I feel clean inside. Im continuing this for life. This is my first time so i cannot compare to ither studios. The website isnt intuitive to book to participants at the same time, however you can call to book two people. I recommend this to single people also.

Hot Box is an excellent yoga studio for all. The instructors/staff embrace a well rounded practice that goes beyond poses and the yoga mat. They are always mindful to accommodate for everyone. The owner (Kat) is very receptive to feedback and will go above and beyond to take action.
I started attending as a total beginner and the instructors were extremely helpful. They instilled confidence in me to embark on my own yoga journey and even implement a home practice.
The studio is super clean, even though most classes are warm/hot and there are many sweaty humans. One of the things I really enjoyed is that they have props available at all times. Plus, the studio is also well located with many parking spaces available.
Finally, some of the classes fill up on a regular basis. Some people may see this negatively, but I think that it is a clear sign that their classes and installations are truly worth it.

Great place for all levels. It's especially great for those individuals who are more advanced because you get the opportunity to try more advanced poses. I went in as a drop in because I was experiencing lower back aches. I left feeling good. I realized as the day went by that my back aches had gone. The heat and stretching helped tons!

Walking through their doors changed my life for the best! Before I even walked in I was intimidated and insecure from sheer lack of knowledge. Before a couple months ago I'd never even taken a "studio" class. Taking a class here and then one there, and finally speaking to the owner and other instructors, completely changed that mindset! They have been nothing but welcoming, kind, and supportive no matter where you are in your practice. I have truly found a studio where I'm as comfortable as if I'm in my own home, and for that alone, I thank you Kat, and to all the wonderful instructors who are all phenomenal in their own ways, I thank you from the bottom of heart!
