UPDATE #2: Carolina at Hotworx (the messenger) just called me to say that my account is still active. And her "manager" said they will cancel IF I DELETE MY REVIEW. However, she can't share her manager's name due to privacy. Give me a break. Cancel. Don't cancel. I have blocked HOTWORX charges on both my debit and credit card account. Did I mention I tried to cancel 6 months prior to leaving El Paso? SO basically, after 11 months, they still won't cancel. AND Carolina shared that "Jennifer" left notes in their system that I tried to cancel-repeatedly. I should have reported HOTWORX to the Better Business Bureau. Will do that now. KARMA will get you.

UPDATE #1: left El Paso in Jan 2025. Thought I finally cancelled charges by going thru my bank. NOPE. Hot Worx SNEAKED in another charge but I saw it & went thru my bank to cancel AGAIN. Karma will catch up to you thieves. How many people have you defrauded??

Tried repeatedly to meet manager or get a call back (supposedly get a phone call by 6pm yesterday.) have tried to cancel for past 3 months but reps don’t have access & assure me the manager will call me back. I saw an add on instagram and I called to check out the plans included and they have everything you need , their plans go no higher than 79 and its really cheap for everything is has included it’s so good. The general manager was the best help she deserves a raise!! You get a free day pass. it’s really challenging and I signed up the same day.

Establishment was okay. Customer service beyond terrible. Need to give a 60 day notice to cancel ONLY when the manager is there even though we don’t have a contract. Asked when manager would be there. Didn’t get a respond they just said to call ahead in case she is in break.

Took a visitor one time and charged a $20 dollar fee for a first time offense. Never going back and never recommending this franchise to anyone.

Shortest time you say. That’s weird because I was told it was a no contract month to month. And if I need to do 2 months in advance I’m paying extra money for a no contract. Scam artist much?!

Also it’s stupid to do cancellations only when manager is there and they are never to be found. Worthless, incompetent and so annoying this is just elaborate THEFT.

I’ve been a member for way over a year. I finally came in to cancel my membership and do it the right way come to find out it’s cheaper to break your contract 3 months in and pay $99 than to cancel your membership giving your 60 day notice. I’m paying almost $70 a month. They literally just charged me today, a couple hours ago to be exact. And they want to charge me another two months just to cancel. so over $200 just to cancel my membership. that’s ridiculous. not sure who I spoke to at the front desk but when asked to speak to someone hire apparently no one is available, just pointed to the numbers on the wall. Ridiculous and unprofessional.

I absolutely love this place‼️🙌I have been coming here for a couple of years and I wouldn’t change it for another gym. After a back injury it was extremely hard for me to go to the gym and do cardio and weight training. I gained so much weight and it literally hurt so bad to work out. At HOTWORX I found the best low impact workouts at a decent price. I am not embarrassed as the facility is 24 hours and it really give me the privacy I needed. All the great benefits hot exercise will blow your mind and body away. I highly recommend this place so please with my progress.

Personally, I enjoy my time at hotworx. I like that hotworx are available at your convenience. What I don't like is the family plan. It really isn't a family plan. They charge the account of the first person for everyone fees that are signed up under the family plan. You don't get the discount the family that signs under you recieve the discount but your fee and their fee are charged to your account. I feel if that's how the family plan is set up then you all need to create a system for every family member added ( on request of customer) you are able to add their cards to the account and they can be charged their own fees. I just think you all need to really look at that family plan and say isn't really a family plan or a system to gather extra funds from the first sign up?

Hotworx has been a great way for me to be active and achieve my fitness goals. The infrared sauna is amazing! It greatly improved my skin quality, muscle tone and helps me focus on the workout. Some days I go in for some light stretching/meditating, and other days I go hard on the bands and push my limit. Like any other gym you get what you put in, but the super friendly staff and the endorphin rush after a sauna workout really makes Hotworx standout if you’re thinking about sculpting your body!

My daughter and I joined Hotworx on Montwood when it first opened. They make you buy a mat and towel for $99 so I purchased two: one for me and my daughter. After my first workout which consisted of being a a very hot room with a stationary bike for 15 minutes and a prerecorded workout, I decided that this gym was not for me. I cancelled my part of the membership with a $99 fee. When cancelling, I asked if my daughter decided to quit, should there be any pre charges and the manager said “no, there will be no fee if she decides to cancel.” I also asked if I could get a refund on the mat and towel that was still wrapped in cellophane and was never used, they refused and told me to sell it on Amazon marketplace. My 16 year old daughter wanted to give it a few more tries so I kept her part of the membership. She said she got bored of doing the same exercises. She also said that she did not feel safe there. When I went to cancel her membership, they charged me an additional $99. When I told the manager that she said that there would be not more cancellation fees, she replied, “I have been doing this for 6 months and I would never say that”. I assured her that she indeed told me that. She continued to deny it. She is very dishonest. Her lack of accountability and attitude makes her a very poor manager. There are many other red flags associated with Hotworx, Montwood. If you want a good workout and value your time and money, do not join this “gym”.

I don't know how many times I've come out of a Hotworx workout and said, "Man, I feel so good!" Location is perfect.

PROS:

24/7 access
Less time, more burn
Sweat like a crazy to release toxins
Ease of scheduling
Vending machine for those times when you may have forgotten your electrolyte drink
Virtual trainer, video starts promptly
Staff is very pleasant
Heat feels wonderful on your joints
Virtually no stiffness or soreness after workout

CONS:
Startup and membership is bit pricey. (Go more costs less per visit)
Virtual trainer, not sure poses are always done correctly

I am disappointed with this facility. I really enjoy the workouts, but it is not worth the hassle. The workers are very welcoming and nice. However, there is a level of incompetence and lack accountability. I had a family plan where each member gave their own payment information. Some months each member is billed individually and others they just bill one of the family members for all the others on the family plan. Each month I have been signed up for, this issue comes up. When I call and address the issue, I am given excuses and told to tell the other members to send me the money, despite that they actually can and have charged them separately in the past. It’s very frustrating and annoying that they cannot resolve such a small billing issue. They did not even offer to fix the mistake after reminding them that they have charged the family members separate in the past and them specifically telling me they can when my mom signed up. They also took her card info. Why would you need the other family members card info if you knew from the jump that you wouldn’t be charging them. Long story short DO NOT sign up for the family plan unless you plan to pay for your whole family every month. The 60 day notice to cancel, is also something you might might miss when signing up. I think it’s silly to have a 60 day notice to cancel a 90 day plan.

I absolutely love this gym! Not only do you feel amazing after each and every session but the sauna heat has helped my knees and my sisters back ( herniated disk) The staff is the most kindest people ever and genuinely care. The gym is ALWAYS clean and is open 24/7 and there is 2 scales available as well as a always stocked vending machine with healthy snacks, energy drinks and water! If you’re looking for a good gym this is it.

If I could I’d give this place 0 stars. I’ve been trying to cancel my membership since September! And I constantly get the run around. Only managers can do it, but somehow everytime I call the manager is never there or she’s busy or she’s “out” whatever that means. So I kindly ask if I can freeze my account until I can cancel it and apparently no one is capable of doing that. ONLY the manager!?!? If there is only 1 manager, multiple people need to be given access because to have 1 person in charge of this is ridiculous. Not to mention they always try and sell me on a free month everytime I call. I’m so fed up and just need to cancel this membership. I don’t have time to be calling everyday to see if the manager is there and the times I go in when I do have time she’s never there!! If you want your money stolen, sign up, my wife has been told the manager is in every day, she showed up when he said he was going to be in, of course he was not, at this point we will be reporting the manager and business to the authorities for a scam. She now has to put her account on hold and try to go in on another specific day that the manger said he would be in but i'm sure for some reason he will not be. Be careful with this place.

I’ve been coming to hotworx long before their arrival in El Paso Texas and it’s quite disappointing that you have to play scavenger hunt on which equipment works and which one does it. I got grandfathered in on prior pricing for 24 hour access nationwide, and when I want to come here to El Paso, it’s a scavenger hunt to see which equipment works pretty disappointing for being a new facility. By far worst one I’ve been to.I would totally agree with the $20 fee if it was to go towards equipment repair. At least tag the piece of equipment that doesn’t work like all the other places do.

My mom, sister and I are all paying customers for this business, we came at a late hour to work out and what I assume to be a manager of the building came to check in on the building, cool that’s awesome ! In the middle of our work out this man and the woman that was accompanying him came to verify our memberships, cool not a problem ! My sister and I have been signed up for over a month and my mother just recently signed up on 03/23. When this man looked up my mothers account she could not be found even tho I can prove the charge from my mothers sign up, he started acting very rudely at the fact the my mothers account could not be found (a fault that is not ours ?!?) I made a comment about customer service and this man began to argue with me that my mothers account not being found has nothing to do with customer service !!! This man very rudely approached us ! And did not solve any problems that we were having and totally killed the vibe of our workout we literally packed up and went home. Super unsatisfied with the customer service as of right now

I genuinely liked Hotworx, however, I’d have to rate them a 1 because of their incompetence. You would imagine that a place with such great reviews, would have knowledge and are well informed of the information provided to their clients. I called two months early to ask about how to proceed with a 60- day cancellation notice. She informed me that I was able to do it through the phone and that she only had to jot down my information and give a reason why. After providing her all the details she advised me that she will have to send it to her manager for his review and If no issues were found then the cancellation would go through. I specifically asked if I had to go in person to sign any forms and she told me that was not necessary. Fast forward two months later, I called to make a dispute about a transaction made and informed Amanda of what happened about the cancellation that took place two months ago. She stated there was no record of it. She was able to make an immediate cancellation and they were going to reimburse me. BUT then I get a call from her again and then she informed that she misunderstood what her manager told her and that they WEREN'T able to reimburse me. Now, i could care less about the money but what infuriates me is that they’re are continuously giving misinformation. It is just unprofessional and unfair.

Facility looks great. Members are usually friendly. My complaint and reason for 2 stars is because the staff is never educated and we'll trained on information of products and business. I have asked employees about specific products that they sell such a detox pills and the employee looked up information on computer in front if me. Information I already had seen on the computer before hand. Very concerning. When canceling membership I have been given the run around since April to September and staff again isn't well educated on system. I was also encountered by an individual who refused to give me her name when I just needed it for my record because I had been given the run around so much I decided to finally take names. And she continues to say "well that's why they aren't here anymore" she doesn't even know who I'm talking about. I don't even know who she is talking. About. I would say to stick to the more trusting gyms that you will get cheaper and more out of the other bigger gyms.

Hot Pilates is my fave!! I enjoy getting my workout on in the evenings and the fact that it is 24 hour access with our own digital key code gives me a peace of mind knowing that it is a secured facility. The faculty takes great care of cleaning the facility and are very friendly. I am so glad I chose to do a collaboration with them alongside my nutrition club. I have brought my customers as guests and they enjoy the workouts. A must-go place for night owls.

I love this studio!! ❤️ It is less than a mile away from my home and also located in a nice shopping center . The facility is super clean and the staff are so sweet and amazing!!
