I absolutely love HOTWORX Friendswood. I'm a stay at home mom of 15 month old twin boys so getting to gyms can be difficult for me. What I love about this place is that it's available to members 24/7, there are specific classes you can take with the virtual instructors, it's always clean, it's in a safe neighborhood, and the staff are super sweet. Shannon had helped me with my free class and signed me up right after. She was incredibly helpful. Bridget was who originally scheduled my free class and I see her in there often. She is super nice and helpful. Ya'll really got some super kind and bubbly people that work up front! I love that.

I'm not a gym person at all. Since getting my membership April 12th, I have gone every single day. Some days are harder than others, but I always look forward to going and how I feel afterwards.

I’m extremely disappointed with HOTWORX in Friendswood. I reached out to cancel my membership because I’m pregnant and obviously can’t continue using the gym safely due to the heated environment (which they market heavily around). Instead of being understanding or supportive, they informed me that I still had to pay for two full months up front just to cancel. That’s over $120 out of pocket for a service I literally cannot use.

This policy feels like a total scam, especially considering the circumstances. There's zero compassion or flexibility — just a cold, rigid contract designed to trap people into paying, no matter what. If you’re thinking about joining, read the fine print very carefully and know that they do NOT make it easy to leave, even for legitimate health reasons.

Would not recommend. There are plenty of other fitness studios that treat their members like humans.

The place is amazing, the programs fit everybody's needs and the the people working there are awesome.
I am 66 and being doing sports (very high level) and I had never experienced anything like this.

I have been a member of Hotworx for about 4 years now, I have been looking for a home studio in the last year since I moved from an other state, after visiting other studios I have decided to sign up here at Friendswood because is the Best in the area, always super clean very friendly and helpful staff and owner, they always welcome you with a smile and positive attitude! 🙌🙌🙌

Canceling this membership is extremely difficult. If you need to move, they will charge you months in advance. Additionally, you cannot cancel over the phone, as if someone will cancel this service without your approval. The heat therapy service is overrated as well, so it's not worth the investment. Even if you are trying it for healthcare reasons; there are absolutely no benefits. Not to mention the costs of the equipment you need to use. Just don't do it. I was a member for almost a year and they still gave me lots of trouble. Extremely deceptive business practices.

I recently visited this Friendswood location for the free workout session and it was a great experience! The staff were so nice and explained everything really well! I definitely recommend this if you’re looking for a cool place with a friendly and effective workout environment!

extremely deceptive business practices. rush you through the contract without giving every detail of cancellation policies. they tell you it’s a 90 day commitment but really it’s 5 months commitment in the fine fine print. they tricked me out of the $99 immediate cancellation charge by saying if i wait two more months I will have reached my 90 day commitment and can cancel. after those 90 days i try to cancel and they tell me it’s another $120 to cancel because i have to give a two months notice. i would have just paid the $99 immediate fee had i know they’d just ask for more and more money. i’ve wasted on average $300 by not choosing the $99 immediate cancellation fee. DO NOT SIGN UP

updating to say they blocked me on facebook after leaving this review and arguing unprofessionally with me! they don’t want me to warn people of their shady practices i guess….

I love Friendswood HOTWORXs, something about being in the warm sauna is so calming and resets my day. The staff is the sweetest, they always welcome me with a smile and helped me find the right size clothing for my body. My HOTWORX gear is extremely comfortable! Carrie the owner is always popping around and has the best attention to detail. I’ve never been in dirty sauna and I like to use the FX area and it’s always pristine. I would highly recommend Friendswood HOTWORX to my friends and family.

I had such a pleasant experience at HotWorx Friendswood today. First I was greeted at the door with a smile and a short exchange of pleasantries from the staff. Then as I was getting ready to go into the sauna, and the lady coming out of the sauna stopped and visited for just a moment. It is so nice to be in a place where both the staff and the members are friendly.

No, Hotworx, THIS is Jim. You insult my family, and make false accusations of impersonation that never occurred. Derek was constantly harassed by your staff to join your location, so he rightfully blocked you.

I spoke to Bridget and Kerri about the possibility of stopping by your location, not for a free workout as you stated, but to see what our future Clear Lake location might look to give a new customer a better idea of what Hotworx would look like.

I was rudely told that by Kerri that it was not possible to schedule an appointment but just to drop by as it was against corporate policy since we were not going to be members of your location.

Well I'm going to see exactly what corporate has to say about the way you treated a new customer of a different location. You're idea of a successful franchise is misguided. You've poked the bear.

I would never endorse your business. Your people and staff are rude and make false accusations. Let's see what corporate says about that. Be sure, I will follow up and find out.

From the moment I walked in, I was met with a dismissive attitude from the employees. It seemed as though they were more interested in socializing among themselves than attending to customers. The lack of basic courtesy and respect was evident in their tone and body language, creating an unpleasant atmosphere.

The rudeness extended to the service itself. Requests for assistance or clarification were met with sighs and eye rolls, as if my presence inconvenienced the staff. This behavior not only tarnished the establishment's reputation but also left me questioning why I chose to spend my time and money there.

Even when attempting to address my concerns with the management, the response was dismissive and unapologetic. It is disheartening to encounter such a blatant disregard for customer satisfaction, and it certainly does not encourage me to return or recommend this establishment to others.

This place is really awesome. I give it 4 out of 5 starts because it has gotten so busy there the machines especially the water towers get a lot of use, they either make a lot of noise, don't glide properly, and on one the plastic piece where your foot goes is snapped in half on one, I have tried to let the front desk know but I seem to talk to someone new every time and they have never heard of a complaint from anyone. Other than that it's a great place everyone is friendly the front desk guys and girls as well as everyone working out!

Have been wanting to find a cool place to exercise that’s different than the traditional gym, offers more than just a yoga or Pilates class, doesn’t have rigid times and days to attempt to adhere to, and has a happy, clean, upbeat vibe! I found it!!! So excited about my new spot 🙂 Super cool (super hot actually 😂) concept that I am totally loving even after 4 months of it, and truly seeing multiple improvements to how I feel and my muscle tone!
