Hotworx is incredible and got me back into a fitness routine after struggling to stay consistent. The studio is 24/7, always super clean, and for the price of a monthly membership you can take an unlimited amount of classes and use the gym equipment. My personal favorites are the HIIT Row, Hot Warrior, and Hot Yoga. I think the cancellation policy is fair and it was explained to me in depth at the time of signing up. They also offer freezing which is super convenient. 10/10 recommend to anyone wanting guidance and instruction, or freedom, and a huge amount of flexibility.

I joined to have access to infrared saunas not really for the workout videos. The classes they offer give 1990’s home videos & I wonder if anyone actually uses them. I tried to cancel several times, but because of their awful cancellation policy I placed my account on hold-which they only let you do once a year. I finally decided to cancel and their two options were a 60 day notice (2 more billing cycles which would be $130+) OR $100 “immediate” cancelation fee... The manager John, is the person I always tried to avoid and a big reason why I wanted to cancel as well. He is rude, passive aggressive and honestly just creepy. This company needs to revisit their cancellation policy because honestly it’s a scam.

I tried my first HotWorx workout today and felt refreshed and calm afterwards.
I did the core workout, part of the isometric segment !
John, the general manager was awesome! *Informative, friendly, professional, knowledgeable about infrared and fitness. I appreciated the time he took to explain the main segments (isometric and HIIT).
The first visit you book includes a tour and information about the program with a staff member.
Other than that -studio is 24 hour member only access. Pretty cool.
There is even an app you can download called Burn Off where you can book and track calories which allows you to earn rewards. HotWorx is innovative and I look forward to coming back again!

Hotworx has literally cured my acne! After being here for 3 weeks I have not had a breakout and i’ve been struggling for YEARS. Love this place highly recommend.
The only reason why I give this location 4 stars is bc the cycle room smells bad (kinda like sweat) which makes sense but it would be nice if it was more up kept. That’s the only con.
Also it would be nice if people understood that multiple people can reserve a room at once. No need to get all weird because I decided to join you in hot yoga or something (they allow up to 3 people per room).

Experience on the gym was ok. It is nice that you can sweat inside a cabin by yourself 24/7 and you can detoxify while working out. The idea is innovative, but personally I needed access to another gym because It was not enough workout for my body type. On top of that, they told me the videos changed every month, but not and it can get very boring if you come here often.
Management should start thinking about more ideas of how making the experience better so people stay, instead of being deceiving and getting their money from stupid cancellation process. Be aware 60 days cancellation notice is basically 90 days, because you need to send it via certified mail and one day late, is another month you have to pay. so if you want to cancel two months before, plan ahead of time and send your letter 70 days ahead of time or something.
At the end I just canceled immediately, which is another 107 fee. Is a shame it didn't work out. I really liked the fact I had access to a sauna, but the price vs what I get is not equivalent.

I joined hotworx almost 2 years ago. They provide awesome workouts 24 hours of the day. I never had an issue with my account until I joined with this location. After not using my account for 2 month I decided to cancel it. I came into the location and was told my only options were to pay $60 a month for two month, pay $99, or freeze my account for 3 months to think about it.

I absolutely love Hotworx! I started my fitness journey in February of this year (2022) and I have not looked back! I enjoy going to Hotworx every day, especially because of the variety of workouts to choose from! Paired with a healthy diet, you really do see results!

I really knew that Hotworx was working for me this past weekend when I was at a wedding in Alaska. I not only received compliments on how I looked from the new people I met but I also received compliments from friends I had not seen in months. These really hit home! I could not believe that people were noticing my hard work and it is all because of the consistency of attending sessions at Hotworx.

I recommend trying Hotworx to anyone who wants to start and/or continue a fitness journey!! I am stronger, fitter, and more flexible than ever before. It really does impact you in so many positive ways!

HOTWORX has changed my life! I have never worked out in a sauna before I had never even been in a sauna before but when I joined HOTWORX in 2019 it changed my life. I am addicted to sauna now and love working out in one. I cant wait to get into a HOTWORX sauna every day! The staff at the Heights location are awesome, very helpful and great at communicating all that the details of your membership when you sign up. Go check them out!!

While visiting Houston recently, I was able to visit HotWorx, my review is based on my first impression which means a lot to me. The store was neat, clean and bright! It made me happy just entering the front door. The staff was friendly, answered all my questions and spent time explaining what they have to offer. I never felt pressured and was excited to start my first session. Everything was easy from start to finish and I really loved the amazing workout I received and the end results "calories burned". It's a must for anyone looking to burn calories and detox at the same time!

Update
Still loving the sauna workouts. I benefit from the saunas in so many ways!! For example, mediation which is so important these days. Some days I use my sauna time to unwind and just clear my busy head. Some days I go all out and walk out like I just took a shower with my clothes on! Either way I’m doing my body good and feel even better both mentally and physically. I’m addicted to sweating now and it has become a part of my routine.

I had ACL surgery years ago and have had limited mobility & haven’t been able to sit on my knees or bend my right one fully ever since the surgery. I also found out that I was living and mold and needed a way to detox from it and read that infrared saunas help you sweat it out (go research it!).

After searching for infrared saunas in Houston and seeing they were about $50/session I didn’t want to pay for 5-6 sessions to test it out and see if it was worth it. Luckily, i randomly found HOTWORX which is amazing because it’s $60/month with unlimited sessions in their infrared rooms! So i definitely signed up for it because now i can do an infrared sauna session + workout at the same time. And sometimes, if i don’t have the energy, i will just sit in the sauna and not workout so i can get a good sweat session in and burn calories & detox - i can literally see the mold coming out of of my pores and I’ve read that so many heavy metals + toxins are released via sweat.

Side benefit?? When I am consistent, I have zero breakouts or acne! (I went three days in a row the week before my sisters wedding and put my face in front of the infrared panels to make sure my face would clear up perfectly).

Also, at the end of my first session, I could sit on my knees for the first time since 2014(a side effect i was not expecting)!! This proved to me the healing properties of the infrared technology

This facility has a great concept, however, there’s a few things lacking.

I got this membership solely for the more “high intensity” machines provided (cycle, row, elliptical). The gears became almost impossible to change on the rowing machine. And it also became difficult to change the seat level on other machines often times. It believe this had something to do with the rooms being at constant high heat. Because of the nature of how this gym runs, you only have a few minutes between scheduled workouts to fix these problems, which often couldn’t be resolved in time. This results in you missing most of the workout. Another problem was scheduling. During C-19 only 1 spot was scheduled in each box (opposed to the 3 spots that will be scheduled outside of the pandemic). It’s very difficult to schedule a time frame that will work for you with the limited reservation spots. With this being said, there is no penalty for missing a scheduled appointment. That means people can go in and schedule a spot and then simply not show up. I walked into appointments multiple times early to find that all of the boxes were booked, yet no one was in them.

Lastly, their cancellation policy is frustrating. They purposely make it difficult for individuals to cancel by forcing you to come to the facility “in person” or sending certified mail to the facility to cancel the membership. I sent the manager an email at the end of February to cancel both me and my boyfriends membership. When I checked back today, he reminded me of their cancellation policy. He had the opportunity to just end the membership, but did not.

I wouldn’t waste your time on this place.

Love to sweat, yes? Then you'll love this place! Due to covid most of the larger high traffic gyms have closed their sauna areas. Luckily there's Hotworx. Thanks to their boutique style set up, minimal occupancy saunas and covid precautions, you're able to comfortably get a workout in without being overly concerned about being exposed.
The benefits of infrared saunas are plenty: better sleep, detoxification, weight loss, improved circulation, clear skin and many others. I couldn't be happier to become a member of this 24hr access sauna.

I can't say enough about this 3D training product. I recently incurred some damage to my arm as a common side effect of surgery. I was determined to stay away from meds & instead got to the Hotworx Heights studio as often as possible to stretch in the heat. This afternoon I was able to do a plank & downward dog for the first time since my surgery. I was already a huge fan and now I feel indebted for having regained use of my arm. I absolutely recommend Hotworx!!

PPLEASE STAY AWAY!!!!!

With everything that's going on, Pandemic and the world pretty much at a Pause, this particular place is bad for business. Members that want to cancel with tge concern of safety do to the Virus will still have to pay due to a Contract so you can forget if someone is Ill and you don't know it so it's kind of like a force to pay no whether if theres a Crisis, Pandemic etc. You would be better at La Fitness, 24 Hours or Fitness connections. After going all the way to the Top to ownership to receive a Reimbursement I was turndown and was told this exactly, "I have a membership with Houston chronicle just because I don't read the paper for a few months, am I supposed to call them and say Hey I wanna reimbursement because I haven't read the paper" yes.....he just compared getting a reimbursement for the Pandemic and safety to him not reading a news paper. On top of that walked in and the gentleman that I spoke with didn't have on a mask. HA....PLEASE THINK TWICE BEFORE SIGNING UP!!!

Again STAY AWAY!!!!!!

Well for me my experience has been great. Customer service is wonderful. When you sign up they explain everything to you up front before you sign up especially their cancelation policy. You are obligated for 5 months dont sign up if you think you can't do it. I love going to workout in the sauna and you definitely will get your money worth. I love this place

Enjoyed the workouts but just beware of their poor cancellation policy. You have a 90 commitment plus a 60 day warning to cancel. I tried canceling 2.5 months in because I wasn’t using it enough and they said “well you haven’t met your 90 day commitment yet so how about freeze for 3 months and then see if you actually want to cancel? Well 3 months went by and I still wanted to cancel, so then they said “oh well you have to give a 60 day warning to cancel so you owe two more months of membership”. Very misleading, since I originally tried canceling three months back I would ha e thought that was my “warning”. There is absolutely no reason for a 60 day warning or 90 day commitment except to take your money. Seems too much like a money making scheme - they don’t actually care about their members.

I've been a member of many gyms, too many. This is the perfect place to get a quick workout and a good sweat going. Most complaints are regarding the same video workout, but if these people can master each workout without modification or saying its easy I would be very surprised. I have only attempted 7 out of the 11 workouts and I am always sore and feeling the burn 100%. I go everyday and never get bored, I listen to music during my workout which helps and I am always challenged. My daughter recently became a member and loves it.

The routines never change between the 8-9 classes. After about a month you will get bored with the workouts and find yourself never really going. Also, during my sign up I was told that if I moved out of the city (I have since moved to Dallas), then I would not be bound by the 60 day notice policy, but instead a 30 day notice would suffice. Due to the recent COVID-W9 outbreak I abruptly found out that I would not be returning to Houston, I contacted the office and they of course now are not honoring this promise. Customer service is lack luster. They were too eager to get people to sign up during their initial opening that the staff were clearly making promises they did not intend to keep.

Although this gym, at first, seems to offer quite a lot for the money that they charge, after signing up, I quickly learned the truth. The sessions are set up in a sauna type room with a video that instructs the class, which is great. However, after joining, I quickly found out that the same video is used in the same type of class over and over again. When I spoke to the gym about it, they informed me that this is a common compliment that they receive and therefore, they roll out 1-2 new videos a month, however, there is only 1-2 videos rolled out across their 8-9 classes they offer, so you could have the same cycling video for multiple months before they will change the video. It gets boring and repetitive, very quickly. Their contract allows for an immediate cancellation however, getting a response from the right person was extremely challenging and when I did get a response, he informed me that I could not immediately cancel, even though it was clearly stated in the contract. I had to send an actual copy of the contract to him to clarify that I could in fact cancel.
