Usually, I love this place and will continue to go here, great place to workout and meet new people. but I had an altercation last night while working out. I have a friend that will come with me sometimes when I don’t want to work out alone. There are usually mats sitting around everywhere by the yoga balls or in the cubbies that are extra. I have never been asked once to check someone in that is a guest or to check out a mat to use. I have my own mat, and she doesn’t since she doesn’t go there often enough to get one.

It was pretty full in there, the most I’ve ever seen it full, so we figured all the mats were being used and we were looking around for the extras. By the trash cans, there’s a closet that was propped open and didn’t look like any kind of employee space since it is propped open, not closed or locked. If we thought it was an employee space that’s inventory and such, we wouldn’t have used it or anything. We have manners and had no bad intentions. There were mats and foam rollers, which the foam rollers are free to use that I know of right now, sitting together. So we just grabbed one to use and didn’t think anything of it.

It goes unnoticed for about 45 minutes, and towards the end of our workout, she opens the sauna we’re in and asks if we got it from the closet. My friend is very respectful, and we weren’t rude at all. She scolds us, saying we aren’t allowed in there and said if there is a guest, they have to check in before (I’m not sure why she didn’t say that when we first got there). She also said she has seen us in there together before and she has always used an extra matt that’s by the yoga balls (and she has never told us to rent it or check it out) and has also (never told me to sign her in) and then she acted like we were stealing stuff. We apologized and wiped it off and put it back after, and she kept acting like we were trying to steal it. It was very rude, and she wasn’t even engaging with us while we were apologizing again after. She was just on her phone with her friend in front of her at the front desk. We felt bad about it, and she told us that she’s gonna get in trouble for it and everything, but acting like we were stealing is very rude and wrong. We didn’t have foul intentions and didn’t act rude or disrespectful towards her at all. We’re just 2 teen girls going to workout together.

I have had a membership for months, I’ve bought a mat, I use the vending machine frequently, always wipe down my equipment, and I just bought bands the other day. I would never steal, and neither would my friend. The whole situation was weird and rude, and I’ve never had an employee there act like this. And then Alyvia, which I’m guessing is the manager over this location, said I’m not able to bring a friend/guest with me again. She wasn’t rude about it your anything i just don’t understand why i would be punished for that. No one has ever informed me about signing a guest up or renting a mat. I’m not mad about the situation, just wished it was handled better and more business-like. Also have accountability for the employees and the fact the staff facility is propped open and have never told me any of that before and made it seem like we were stealing. And i wish i was told everything when u first got my membership not after having it for a while and not knowing any of this. Not going to cancel my membership or complain about it anymore just wanted to spread awareness about employee knowledge. I just hope they can handle situations better in the future and ill forgive and forget!

This is the worst place I have been you send emails and get know response but they send message to support their business they don’t respect their customers if they don’t reley back in timely manner have equipment that is broke and not been fixed and do not greet customer with a smile just sit at desk.They need to go extra mile to make people happy or close your business.

I have always loved Hotworx and I was happy that when I got pregnant they were able to freeze my account and only charge me $9 something a month to keep my membership. However, now that I've had my baby we have moved 2 hours away. I called the hotworx in my new location and talked to the manager hoping I could have my membership transferred. She told me that there is no transferring of memberships so I would have to call the Huntsville location and cancel my membership. She said once I did that I could sign up in the new location for free without being charged the sign up fee again. So I contacted Huntsville and left a message with them telling them exactly what the manager of the new location had told me. Nobody responded, no one called me back. But 3 days later I was charged a full membership price from the Huntsville location. I have called and left several messages. I have sent emails. Nobody is communicating with me. Is there a cancellation fee? If there is that should have been communicated before I was charged. And, considering all I'm doing is moving locations and your company does not offer a membership transfer it would be smart to waive that fee since all I'm doing is changing locations and the company is still getting my money. The way all of this is handled makes me not even want to go back to hotworx!

I have been working out at this Hotworx for almost a year now. I love the whole experience! The staff is always so helpful, and Jodi is always striving to make it the best experience possible! I’ve been working out at hotworx in Huntsville for a couple months now, and I absolutely love it! I’ve seen the owner several times and she is always so friendly, and so is the rest of her staff. They always go out of their way. They have the cutest clothes! Scheduling and signing up are so easy. Price is definitely reasonable and I love that it’s SO clean, a lot cleaner than most other gyms. If you’re thinking about trying it, definitely go!

I signed up a month and a half before they even opened with the promise that they would let me know when they open so I could start coming in. They never let me know when they opened and they proceeded to charge my card and then when I found out they were open and went to cancel they told me I had to still pay for three months before they would stop charging me. Mind you, I never used this facility one time. I was never given the towel or mat that I was promised with my sign up, I was never even told when they opened. This is terrible customer service and I would not recommend this place to anyone that I know.
