I was charged 6 times in one day and charged after I canceled via phone call for 7 months. I completed my 1 year membership and said I would like to end after that and they told me I was fine. The opposite of what I was told has occurred. Terrible customer service. Do not give them any credit card information they are not to be trusted at all. They have no desire to correct their mistakes. I would not recommend this gym to anyone. They have terrible communication within the company as well. I was told to “go ahead and leave a review” by the manager.

Love this staff and it's always clean! I go during staffed and unstaffed hours, whatever works best with my schedule, which is one of the great things I love, it's 24/7! Being a stay-at-home mom and being with my toddler all day, so grateful I get to have this time to myself, whenever I can. The staff is always happy to help when I need it and it's in a great location. Highly recommend HOTWORX for anyone looking to start or continue their fitness journey!

DO NOT sign up for a membership at this location. Will try to keep in your contract even though the policy states on four page in cancellation “ if an immediate cancellation is needed before the initial program installment term is fulfilled, a $99 immediate cancel fee will be due at the time of cancellation and must be done in person at the studio listed in this agreement “ I tried to cancel due to medical reasons and pay the $99 owner and staff were very hostile and refused. Staff requested that I provide a doctors notes. As if my personal medical history is they business.They wouldn’t even let me return my towels and mat that was never opened and still sealed in package. This is place is money hungry and shows no compassion for their members.

Great potential if some small improvements were made.
Firstly, I am currently recovering from surgery so I have not been by here within the last 6 weeks but as of today I have cancelled my membership even though I did have plans and was excited to return after I recovered. The first few months of my membership were okay: the workouts were fun, there was typically always a totally empty class I was interested in as long as I signed up for it 18-24 hours ahead of time, the gym was typically fairly clean, smelled not-totally-gross for a gym, and the other members were alright. A smaller issue lay with the front desk hours - I work typical bank hours which means if I wanted a guest to try it out, it was difficult to get my guest's schedule, my schedule, and the front desk's schedule to line up enough to have time to do a longer workout. I know that is mostly on my own and my guest's schedule but if a front desk employee was scheduled a bit earlier on Saturdays or any hour on Sundays it would have let a bunch of my friends try this gym with me. They were all super excited to try, but the limited hours only allowed one to have the time.
The next issue is that the workouts are the same video each time you do that type of class. Got very boring and repetitive after the first few times. It would be nice if there were multiple videos per workout type that rotated out every 3-4 weeks or even once a month.
The main cause for my cancellation was the customer service:
-The sign up process was alright, but it did feel like I was annoying the employee by being there.
- When my guest tried Hotworx out, that employee was helpful and professional.
- After a few members and I noticed that three of the saunas (3,4,&5) were almost unusable due to the smell - one member had to go outside for fresh air so she wouldn't get sick - the employee was very reluctant to help and only sprayed air fresher, which did not help at all.
- I called about a week ago to see if there was a way to freeze my account (due to my surgery) and the employee was kind enough to extend the freeze from the normal 3 months to my choice of 6-12 months, but she didn't mention that there is a monthly freeze fee. I do realize that this was stated in my original contract but it would be appreciated if members were reminded of this fee so they could make the best decision for their membership (i.e. $9.72/month freeze fee vs. $99 immediate cancelation fee vs cancelling with 2 monthly fees with usage for 2 months). When I saw the unexpected charge on my account, I called to cancel and ask if perhaps the employees could be asked to remind members of the freeze fee as a courtesy. The employee I spoke to today was very quick to tell me that it was originally in my contract, that I did already know, and that being reminded as members go through the account freeze process was just up to who the member spoke with. I asked if maybe there was somewhere that she could put a note to remind others and that suggestion was swiftly shut down. The front desk employees here seem very young so some rudeness is forgivable but it's never fun to talk to someone who is condescending.
My original plan was to cancel for the next 6 months and then rejoin, but now I'll just find a different Hotworx to go to.

I absolutely love working out at HotWorx Castle Hills. It’s so easy and works great with my erratic schedule. I can come and go 24/7. The staff are all so amazing, especially Parker, Ariel, and Kylie! I love how friendly everyone is. Best workout spot ever!!!!!

I signed up for my membership back in January of 2024.
My best friend decided recently that she wanted to sign up as well and went in this past weekend to do so and planned on getting her own membership since we do not share memberships for anything.
Due to an employees error, instead of setting her up on her own account, he set her up on mine which in turn led to her membership, towel and mat all being charged to my card.
I noticed the charge on my account and called that day and spoke with Parker (Manager). We got into a very heated argument over what transpired and a lot of unprofessional comments were made towards my friend that I did not appreciate. Saying that it wasn't their fault that my friend is a liar etc. They tried to say that she came in claiming that we were family and she wanted to get a discount, so they signed her up under my plan without doing any due diligence or getting my approval beforehand.
I asked Parker how he would feel if his bank allowed someone access to his account just because they said they were family without asking for identification or checking with the account owner to see if this person is authorized, no membership I have ever had before allowed such a thing!
When someone purchases a membership with auto-recurring payments that are linked to their bank account or debit card, that companies job to protect their customers financial information is critical, that includes their memberships. It doesn't matter if she was my friend, family or stranger, they should have called me before allowing any of this to happen.
After speaking to my friend and getting further information on her experience, I relayed this new information to Parker and he stated that he understood the situation better and it was a simply "check in the system" that their employee failed to do. That failure cost this company 2 new memberships and a lot of frustration and anger for me.
My friend and I both canceled our memberships, they didn't charge us the $99.00 cancellation fee but they tried telling me I couldn't get a refund for my towel and mat (still brand new in package) before Emily called and asked Parker once more if she could do a refund, he finally approved. They fully refunded my friend because she was within the 72 hour cancellation period but I never saw any of my money back for my membership and there was also a random $25 charge I never understood either (So I am out of pocket for almost $90.00 for services I never received and, additional stress and heartache because of their mistakes). I was asked how they could make things right, I told them I wanted a full refund and membership cancellation and it was stated "you know we cannot do that!". Also, keep in mind all of this transpired before we even got a chance to take our first class. This was a very awful experience that I hope never happens again, I hope lessons were learned from this and more protections are put into place to protect customer accounts. I would suggest in the future to make it right for a customer, you should refund all of their membership dues, none of this was of my doing and if it hadn't happened, I would still be a paying customer. I do not feel you should be able to keep any of my money when I didn't make the mistake and absolutely no services were rendered to me.

GREAT GYM. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.
We agreed to a discounted sale since we signed up before the gym opened, but then when we signed our agreements we were signed up with a higher amount. Unfortunately when we brought it up to someone’s attention, because she wasn’t happy he manager there weren’t able to notate anything in the account enough to get a change. Since we missed their calls to follow up on the change that needed to be made, they never made the change and when we finally had to cancel they couldn’t help us at all. Parker the manager was expressing himself in a very passive aggressive way that just came off extremely rude and blamed it all on us for not checking our statements(which I understand, shame on us for trusting things would’ve been charged correctly) and for not answering their phone calls.
Extremely dissatisfied with the team, but the gym really us great! Can’t wait to sign back up to a different location!

Oh wow, finally an answer on WHY we weren’t charged correctly! That’s even sadder because our initial sign up was with YOU, the owner, during construction, NOT ONLINE. We both chatted with you TOGETHER, at the under construction Bahama Bucks in person, while you took all our information, including that we were MARRIED, and you spoke through the sale, but NEVER mentioned what you just did and what was needed. If you did we would’ve been more than glad to do what was necessary as a MARRIED couple. Thank you for responding and at least giving me an answer on why we weren’t signed up correctly. Hopefully the rest of your team has learned what’s needed to be communicated or necessary for the additional discount so this doesn’t happen to others.
Your manager Parker DID waive 50% off, but that’s nothing compared to the $270 we overpaid because you and your team didn’t sign us up correctly as a MARRIED couple. That was my first conversation with him ever and he was already frustrated with the situation and rude all around. Never did he even apologize for making the mistake from the beginning, neither have you apparently. Very disappointing to see a “small business owner” not even know how to apologize for their mistakes or even be nice about the situation.

Absolutely love HotWorx! The classes are fun and easy to follow. The online instructors are great and lively. Every friend I’ve brought thought the same thing I did, it’s a hard workout but SO worth it. You can accomplish so much in as little as 15 minutes. Highly recommend :)

Went here this week with my wife for moral support while she attended two classes. I joined her for both and had a great time. The place was clean, staff was friendly, and wasn't crowded at all. Overall, I don't think that this type of workout is for me, but I enjoyed both sessions and the experience as a whole! I can see why she joined

I love the workouts here. They staff is very nice and the saunas are always very clean. The saunas use infrared heat, so you really work up a good sweat during your workouts. There’s a small area in the back of the studio where there’s additional weights. i thought that was very nice touch.

My activity level plummeted after transitioning to work-from-home. I’ve been searching for something to help me improve my physical & mental health. I highly recommend Hotworx.
