Melyssa was an absolute delight! She gave me a warm welcome and a thorough tour of the studio before my first class, which immediately made me feel comfortable. It’s clear she truly cares about the members. She even provided me with a cold water bottle and a refreshing lemon towel. I came in for a free trial and was absolutely astonished by how nice the front desk lady was! As soon as I walked in she open the door for me and gave me a tour of the building. She showed me the bathrooms and the showers, and I must say they were very clean and well kept. Next she showed me how the sauna works and told me all about the science behind the infrared heat and how it continues to burn calories after the workout. HOTWORX operates with a serious lack of transparency and ethics. I requested a copy of the agreement at sign-up but never received it until I tried to cancel. The cancellation policy was never disclosed, and I was only shown the final screen, which excluded key terms.

Once you sign, you only have 3 days to cancel—after that, you're locked in for 2 months. To terminate, you must give 60 days' notice and pay for 2 more months or pay a $99 + tax fee. Despite stating I did not agree with these terms, they still charged my card without authorization.

Their misleading practices and lack of ethics make this a gym I cannot recommend. Be cautious before signing anything!

I was a big fan of this studio but am very unhappy with the way they are handling my account right now. The payment schedule seems to withdrawal whenever it wants, usually around the first of the month which is already a difficult week for any extra charges. I recently got charged for two months at once because the only way to cancel the membership is to go to the facility I started it at, and then I was told I cannot get a refund even though their services were not used because that’s what’s in the contract. So here’s my advice not to sign the contract because apparently it means they can do whatever they want with your hard earned money.

Organized is about the only good review this location gets. Front desk is ALWAYS rude and HOSTILE, seem to be so inconvenienced. Have no patience when explaining their “Rules and Regulations”. The opener who drives a jeep cut off and drove like crazy on the road to get to work on time, seems to make it a habit. They almost never have clean mats. Just would like to understand how the staff at the location on Custer has better training and customer service. I loved the concept of this gym but regretted it almost immediately due to the cancellation policy. When you sign up, know that you are committing to a 5 month contract or will need to pay quite a bit to cancel before that. Doing a workout alone in a dark room isn't motivating for most people, so your money is better off being spent in an atmosphere like a public gym of workout class with a live instructor, in my opinion.

Let me start by saying that I HATE working out!! But this concept is perfect for people like me. The infrared sauna does half the work for you. It takes away the anxiety of going to an hour long workout class and having to make sure you look “class” presentable bc only 3 ppl can fit in a sauna at a time and half the classes are only 15 minutes. Anyone can workout for only 15 minutes! But make no mistake, you are drenched afterwards!! Things I love the most: Privacy and peaceful !! It’s 24 hours, so there is no pressure to make it to a set class schedule like other places. Ive only been a member for 2 weeks, but each time I’ve gone I have had the sauna to myself. It’s super clean, has a great staff, great supplemental products, amazing quality on mats/towels/bag etc. I even got my sister on board, and she definitely doesn’t like to work out!!! However, the real best part is the “Price is right”!!! The cost to be a member here is less than half the price of Orange theory, no shade because they are good for what they do. Because it unlimited, you don’t feel the pressure that you will be penalized if you miss your time slot. I just had to leave a review because I truly feel like I’ve found a fitness style that I can really stick with!!

Signed up online. Have had ongoing issues with my account since joining. Young lady at front desk was unhelpful and she was busy with her children in the lobby. They are not transparent with fees up front. You have to buy their over priced mat and towel. Music is so loud in the lobby you can't hear the virtual instructors. Classes are the same and do not change, but every 6 months or so. Canceling my membership as soon as someone calls me back.

I came to the McKinney location to try to cancel the membership but I pushy, rude young lady was trying to deflect the cancellation and so persistent and pushy that her tactics can get anybody upset or she said your joints are going to hurt because you’re not going back to the gym again young lady was explained that had a membership to an actual gym and that I had reached my final destination Wich It was to lose 50 pounds. I’m grateful and thankful for that but I’m not happy about the cancellations at handled at this particular location beware.

My husband and I were thrilled to join here but quickly after joining we had to pause our membership due to money concerns (we were moving). We had no problem paying the pause amount and we were told our account was paused. Then- we were charged the full amount. We scrambled to make ends meet and had to fight for the money back (had to contact corporate). We were told the money was transferring, waited a month, and nothing. Called back and was told the transfer was never initiated. Waited a week and finally got the money- used it to permanently cancel our membership. This is one of the most unique workout facilities I have ever experienced. The infrared saunas with isometric exercises is the best combination for getting the most out of your workout in a short time. The variety of workouts is great and also includes a FX zone with free weights, ropes and TRX rack, plus the HIIT saunas….you get it all here. I went up there because I had a friend that has visited one another Hot Worx, that has been open in Prosper. When I showed up, they were so engaged with me and listened to the issue that I had about working out. I have a bad knee that has been getting worse over the year because of the military and all my sports playing. She answered all my questioned and help me pick some of the programs that they offer that are low impact and will help me get the weight off me that will, in the end, help me with my knee. I am really impressed with the facility and definitely the cost. I was paying well over $200/monthly to work out and couldn't go when it was easier for me. I know can plan my workouts in advance, that will work for my schedule, and regardless of the time, get a great workout in. I am super excited to be apart of the Hot Worx team and will keep spreading the word to anyone else that is in my same position.
