I signed up for a membership in January and understood I was locked into a 6-month contract. I stopped going in May but let the payments auto-draft, expecting everything to be done by July. To my surprise, they continued charging me after my contract ended—even though I haven’t stepped foot in this place for over 6 months.

When I called to question the charges, the woman I spoke with was incredibly rude and flat-out refused to issue a refund. At $60 a month, that’s nearly $300 they’ve taken from me without authorization.

This is nothing short of highway robbery. Do NOT sign up here unless you want to be charged long after your contract is up. They’ll happily keep draining your account while you’re not looking.

When a patron signs the contract they make you sign it upfront while the worker briefly describes what each page says while she’s being rushed because she the only one who works there . You don’t get a copy of the contract. That being said when she briefly described the contract all she said was that I was under a 6 month contract. not that they would bill me until I die (even after) unless I canceled. In addition to that, when the contract ended there was no courtesy call to see if I wanted to continue service. I rightfully assumed I no longer had access to the facility but the owner says I pay for “access” if my contract ended how would I know I still had access? I didn’t utilize their facilities or my access so what were they charging me for? I didn’t benefit in anyway from my money being stolen every month. I didn’t even go for the last 2 months of my 6 month contract but I let those bills go because I was under contract. I am just asking for a refund for the 3 months I wasn’t under contract anymore but they still auto drafted my account. I should be entitled to a refund if I didn’t use there services as is the way any service based industry works. The owner was very strict about keeping the stolen money which says a lot about her business practices. I just want future customers to make an informed decision before funding a thief.

I went to HotWorx Rowlett yesterday after calling the studio, speaking with manager Ashton, and making an appt for a free session. I gotta say, the infrared sauna was nothing like I had envisioned. After a 45-minute stretch session at 115-118º, I was thoroughly "de-stressed!" Aftetwards, Ashton, who is sooo friendly, professional, and knowledgeable, discussed several membership options, but was she was not pushy. I do plan to utilize one of those options! Nice place, clean facility, and a welcoming atmosphere! I will be back!

I went to the HOTWORX Rowlett location today to cancel my membership. Typically, canceling memberships is painful but I had such a great experience. Ashton didn’t try to talk me into changing my mind or changing my membership level. She just listened to my needs and encouraged me in the right direction. Even though I wasn’t staying at her location, I felt like she wanted to make sure I had a good experience with HOTWORX as an organization. Ashton was kind and client-focused. I had a terrific experience and would highly recommend!

HOTWORX - Rowlett is wonderful! The staff is always friendly and the facility is clean. Hotworx has about 12 different workouts that you can do in the span of 15-40 minutes (depending on the workout). I’m never bored and I definitely see results!

Very clean facilities and friendly staff! I enjoyed the privacy of the workouts. However, the cancellation policy is both inconvenient and unreasonable. I started my membership in April 2023 and haven’t been since June 2023 because of frequent work travel. I called to cancel and was told I needed to come into the studio to do so (again, inconvenient because of work travel). I’d have to pay $99 for an immediate cancellation or I could give 30 days notice and still have to pay for 2 months. It’s a policy that isn’t customer serving and cancelling shouldn’t require an in person visit. Only join if you’re 100% available to use your membership.

Terrible first impression!! Signed up for my trial class at 9:00am. Showed up early, doors were locked and no employee in sight. Finally someone emerged from one of the pods, a customer not an employee. She opened the door for myself and another first timer, with 2 minutes to start time and no idea how things worked or even what room/pod to go into. We both just sat there for about 10 minutes before I finally decided to leave. What a waste of time!! Won’t be back and would not recommend for regular workout goers.

Each workout is only 15 minutes in an Infrared sauna with the temp at 130•F. My skin looks amazing! I have tons of energy and burn over 700 calories in just 3 sessions, Max time 45 minutes! I started working out at Hotworx Rowlett location about 2 months ago. So far I’ve really liked this new kind of workout! You can do 15 minute HIIT workouts or 45 minute isometric workouts (buns, core, Pilates, yoga, etc) Working out in 130 degree heat took me a few times to get used to, but after 3-4 sessions I’ve come to look forward to sweating it out in the sauna during workouts. You have to pay enroll fee and buy the mat and towel which is pricey, but they run specials. Another plus is they are open 24/7 so it’s very flexible for busy schedules!

Update to my review (7-7-21)
The gym is great. The workouts are really awesome. However, the app that your supposed to use to track your calorie burn in order to earn rewards is awful. There is a large number of people, myself included, that are unable to earn any type of reward due to the fact that the app subtracts calories from our overall total amount burned due to some glitch that they are fully aware of. I know I’ve been bringing it to their attention for 3 months and have yet to see any type of actual solution.

Such a great place to get an amazing workout. I don’t always have a ton of time to go to a class for a gym. HOTWORX heats it up and cuts the time in half!

I always love coming here. I have had my membership and I am amazed at how clean the facility it. The employees are always nice and make you feel welcome. I love the hot buns and hot blast the best. I highly recommend getting a membership and if you do this location is the best one I have been to. They always have it cool in there so when you are done working out you come out feeling refreshed. Signed up for my free session, Grayson, was great! She explained everything thoroughly and no pressure to sign up. Love the quick sweat and workout. They offer different modalities to choose from , Pilates, yoga, bands, cycle, weights and more. No issue finding a class that suites my needs. this place is like a pandemic miracle gym oasis...

I’ve been a yogi and weekend gym rat for over 20 years, and to find a place with such flexibility of scheduling, quality instruction/sequencing, reasonable price/reservation cancellation policies.... and the bonus of being able to book solo sessions in the saunas during the pandemic, but still get out of the house for a workout and see some friendly faces?

and it really is SO CLEAN. every time I’m there I see someone cleaning something. even the shower is clean during peak hours

the staff is knowledgable, professional, friendly... no constant upselling or over-the-top “cheerleading” you see some other places. If you have questions they’ll answer them, if you feel like chatting they are lovely, and if you just want to get in and get out they let you have your peace.

Not only do I love the concept of "3D Training" for more workout in less time, but I really appreciate how CLEAN this place always is. I notice the other members also show care and respect to one another for diligently disinfecting the equipment after use. What else do I love? The 24-hour access and locked passcode-entry. I can workout anytime, and I feel safe every time. This is a great place for a fun workout!
