I did the complementary workout today. Although it was a decent first experience, based on the core exercise, I was NOT informed that I shouldn't have my contacts in, due to the heat, therefore when I got home my eyes were blood shot red. 🫤 I also didn't get the complimentary towel or foam roller. Better communication would've gotten five stars.

I've been a member of three Hotworx locations (2 in other cities). The Alamo Heights location is, by far, the best managed site I've had the pleasure of belonging to. It's clear that Amanda, the GM, has made customer service a priority. I'm always greeted by a friendly smile and assistance when I need it. I also appreciate that it's consistently clean and well-maintained. Highly recommend!

Hotworx is a must! I’ve been part of this family for almost three months and my results have been well noticed with all the determination and drive I’ve put into this program. I got signed up by Amanda and she is an amazing person that makes you feel like family at Hotworx and is as genuine s as can be. Mia, was also helpful days ago when I asked to bring my husband in as a guest. This program is also almost for all ages! My 13 yr old daughter enjoyed the weight circuit and also became a member after coming in with me as a guest a few times. The facility is always well kept and sanitized. Thank you Hotworx for your friendly staff and always maintaining the facility!

Around 215ish i was there with a friend trying out this Hot Worx, to see if this was a good fit for my work out routine. I overheard a customer and Amanda, assuming she was the manager. Customer was trying to cancel her membership, and Amanda was talking to the customer in a rude manner. There was a point where Amanda stated something, "Do I have to spell it out for you?" The little of what i overheard the customer was very patient but Amanda took her power to another level. So in conclusion, I am not going to sign up.

I signed up in 2022 and it was wonderful experience. Since then it has gone down hill under different management. I tried to cancel back in November 2023 at the HOTWORX Bulverde location and they told me everything was good to go. HOTWORX continued to charge my card until June 2024. They make you come in person to cancel your membership so I did and spoke with the General Manager Amanda. I told her what happened and she was NOT helpful at all. I have never experienced such rude customer service in my life. I asked if someone could help me other than her and she said the owners are in Canada and that wouldn’t happen. As I was leaving she told me “I can’t wait to see your review, especially since I will not get fired for it”. I’ve never experienced so much arrogance in a place of business.

This is an amazing studio. It is extremely clean and well taken care of. Each sauna has infrared and is heated. It's great for recovery and to get a good, quick sweat on. Your first time to go is free!

I started coming here recently and it’s amazing. It’s a 24 hour studio and workout at your own pace. There are free weights to do your own thing or you can follow the TVs in the function fitness area. Spin, rowers, Pilates, yoga, bands…in the infrared saunas with instructors on the TV. The staff and GM are super friendly and knowledgeable. It’s clean with wipes, disinfectant sprays, towels, and a shower. If you’re into introverted workouts get in here. They also work with other small businesses which is amazing. Small supporting small. Ask for Amanda. Lastly, if you’re a scaredy cat like me you HAVE to have a code to get in even during operating hours. So it feels safe. And secure. They always answer the phone and never sound annoyed. Price is right too.

I love coming to hotworx. I definitely feel like I’m getting more out of my workouts when I workout in the infrared sauna. Very positive, friendly energy there. I will just say that they do not have the hot blast workout (my favorite HIIT workout) like some of the other locations do. Just an fyi if you’re deciding on which location to go to.

I'm very disappointed in this particular hotworx.
This has happen multiple times. The use of the sauna should be 3 people even on app sign up for a sauna, but its small as it is! Memebers are realky rude and disgusting behavior. Not take the whole sauna for themselves especially if they are not using it at that time. Putting their belongs on the handles and in the way to open the slide doors. It's really selfish and uncalled for. Don't even have rules up or reminding them on how to treat others and so on. If your not sign up on app then don't be in there either. I have sign up for my time to find out they took my spot.

Can’t get a hold of anyone via phone about my account and would rather not have other members looking at me workout during my time slot and barge in with negative looks immediately after my class.

I have to agree with the other reviews.
Its hard to book a time slot for the workout that you want. I understand that it’s 24 hour access but it’s inconvenient to have to go at 8/9 PM to get the work out that I want. This location is also very small.
And the three people per sauna is ridiculous!! Two people barely fit comfortably!

In conclusion, If you like fighting for a timeslot, and being cramped in a very small sauna with two other people, then I say go for it.
But at $59 a month, with a two month notice of cancellation, I don’t think it’s worth it. They also don’t tell you that you have to buy their yoga mat and equipment, so keep that in mind if you choose to sign up because it adds up quickly.

They changed it to three people in a TINY sauna. I’m 5’7 and I can touch all the walls. It’s tight with two people, much less three. Immediately cancelled my membership as soon as they changed the policy.

Honestly I love hotworx & I used to go almost everyday but at this location it has become increasingly hard to even book a session because they are all always full. Forget the privacy of having your own workout, you’re lucky if you even get to book a shared sauna these days.
Doesn’t fit into my schedule anymore because like I said, you basically have to take what you can get at this point as far as classes. This makes it hard to be consistent. It also takes away the main reasons I loved going here in the first place, privacy & convenience.
