I have been a member now for over a year and I am hooked. There have been several changes in management and the latest one keeps the place very clean and while she is there, all the thermostats in the saunas are always ready to go when you get there. I would give it 4 stars, only because some of the equipment do need some repairs and upgrades to keep them at the level of other locations I have visited recently, at areas with way lesser expectations as the La Cantera's location.

My experience at HowWorks has been very frustrating as I was supposed to place a cancel on my account on 12/2023. I spoke to the sales account employee that handles the cancelations and he had made this process to complicated to where my account never got canceled in 12/2023 and was charged 6+ months without a confirmation receipt either. What this sales person did was not right, and coming from working multiple years managing Fitness corporations this type of process is so disappointing. I recommend making sure you get everything in writing. As I am still waiting for this account to be canceled now I have to deal with a fee that was supposed to be taken place back on 12/2023. This has been one frustrating process where I am not getting taken into consideration I was charged another cancellation fee for my two accounts when this should not have been charge in the first place for the inconvenience. Make sure you think and have everything in writing before signing up as I have been very disappointed with the gentleman that never processed my cancellation properly.

Always a great feeling coming out of the gym in the early morning.

I’ve always been a fan of the Hotworx franchise, but this location is tough to beat overall. The staff are friendly and the gym is kept clean.

Love the row machines and other workout options, to include the free-weight areas.

I just did a tour with Alex she was so helpful explained all the rooms to me the safety features of the gym and showed me on her app how to book the sauna rooms and answered all my questions didn't make me feel rushed

I’m putting 5 stars because I’ve been a member for 2 years or so now? I refuse to get rid of my membership because I am absolutely hooked on “earning the burn” and the added bonus is I’m always greeted by the friendliest faces! Every! Time! (When I go during staffed hours) Meg is amazing, but I’ve especially became close with Valerie! 10/10 customer service and we even workout together now! Everything is always tidy, saunas are WARM (for those of us who come 5 minutes late and don’t have time to warm up the sauna… lol) and she is the most genuine with every guest she encounters!

My wife and I went into HOTWORX la cantera to cancel our memberships on June 7th. We were told by Julia that our memberships would cancel in 60 days. After waiting the 60 days and still getting charged. I went in again and was told they had no documention about us cancelling.

This gym is EVERYTHING! I go to the Alamo Heights location.The staff is friendly and so helpful. The gym is always clean and they enforce COVID-19 rules. The work out is phenomenal, you definitely earn the burn every session. The saunas are great. It's not your typical gym, this is so much better!
