I absolutely loved hotworx! I was a member for a little over a year and switched to sweat everywhere once I moved. The cancellation policy is very odd, but i did agree to it when I signed up. One of the employees told me it was “just like other gyms”, but I’ve never been with a gym where you have to pay for 3 months all at one time just to cancel. (Even with a notice) Anyways, the reason for my one star review, I went in person today to cancel my membership and the lady at the front desk was very friendly and helpful; however, what I think is the owner (purple hair) spoke to me very rudely and I did not appreciate it. I have known multiple people who have been talked down upon by her and I think this location is not worth it. The downtown location in the heights never gave me problems and their owner is the sweetest!
If I were an owner/ manager of a studio I would never talk to clientele how she speaks to hers.

I’ve wanted to love this location cause it’s literally down the street. But the customer service just isn’t there. The girls are nice, the owner seems anal. Great gym results are there if you’re consistent, I’d recommend the membership just not through this location.

I was a member for a while and loved it! We just joined a new gym as a family that works better for us. Leaving a positive review here because I did enjoy my experience. I had some disagreements with the cancellation policy structure but the owner did work with me and offered me a fair option that worked for me. Overall a positive review and I would just say to make sure you understand their cancellation policy up front.

Where do I start on how diabolical this cancellation policy is, its not enough you give you give them a minimum of 90 days which is whatever but then you have to give them like a 1 or 2 month notice and pay $99 to cancel along with being there in person for some reason. If ya wanna add anymore rules how about a notarized letter written in hieroglyphs or paid purely in coins minted prior to 1923? If you have faith in your gym you wouldn't make it so difficult to cancel, and other gyms policies are not an excuse to have idiotic cancellation policies yourself.

HOTWORX The Woodlands on Six Pines is the best! The gym is always clean and has a wonderful friendly staff and a comfortable relaxing atmosphere. It is open 24 hours therefor it works with all schedules! The 15 to 45 minute infrared sauna workouts will change your life! There is a great variety of workouts-something for everyone! My favorites are Pilates, Yoga and Warrior! I love seeing and feeling the sweat drip off of me as I workout. I can actually feel my body detoxing. I feel refreshed and energized when I’m done!

Hotworx The Woodlands is a wonderful gym to workout at. The stuff is always so friendly and greets each person that walks through the doors. They enjoy asking you if you had a good workout and recommend other sessions for you to try. The rooms and the free gym space are constantly cleaned and sanitized so there is no weird gym funk smell. If you are looking for workout where you can literally see the fat melt off of you, then you should join HOTWORX The Woodlands! I spend much of my time lifting weights, followed by HITT workouts on a bike or a seated elliptical machine. When you arrive at the studio, you are always greeted by friendly staff members! Love this place!!! I’ve been a member for a year and a half now and love all the different types of workouts I can choose to do. Love that you can change the sauna temperature to your comfort level. 24 hour access was a huge bonus because you can book any class on your time schedule. Most of the time you are able to book a sauna room to yourself. The app will also indicate if the class and room you are trying to book for a timeslot has already been filled with someone else Before you confirm your booking. Personally, I wouldn’t recommend signing up at this location because of the owner.
Not as clean as the other gyms in the area and the equipment is off tread, ripped, or loose. Showers look gross, hair on floors and sinks. This is the 3rd time there was no toilet paper in stall. She is rude when speaking to her employees. Owner only speaks genuinely to White or light colored people. For example, she spoke/greeted every person leaving or coming in but never once parted he lips to speak to the Black guy that walked in or the Black lady that was sitting on the bench then left. This place is close to my house, so that is the only reason I come to this gym. Lastly, your employees should not fly through the parking lot in their sports vehicles not slowing down for members entering an exiting the gym using the cross walk. This is a major liability for your business.

I review EVERY hotworx I visit. I travel full time- usually in a city just for a week or 2 for 8 months a year. HOTWORX is the best gym for someone who has any sort of gym phobia, dislike of human interaction, and the need to just workout alone. I hate the distractions of big gyms, I get extremely anxious and I hate working out in big classes of people. I’ve been coming to hotworx for over a year and this gym is just as clean, well organized, and friendly as all the others I’ve been to.

There is a previous review of this location and I did not notice any issues with the 5 saunas I’ve used. I’ve also not met any staff but the gym is clean, stocked with towels and cleaned, restrooms are clean and the gym seems to be operating just fine.

For my first visit, there was an off-vibe with how I was approached by the owner about the code not working. Also, I did not care for how she was speaking with the employee she was training. She was not very welcoming or patient.

The blast bike mini screen was not working right. The buttons in the sauna to adjust the temp/time were damaged. I was nervous to touch the pad. This location may not be as new as some of the others.

I give it a two-star for location and 1 more to the gentleman who thanked me for coming when I left even though the manager said nothing. Keep being positive energy, bro!

This review is solely based on the cancellation policy. If you cancel (after being active for 3 months) you have 2 choices. Either pay for 60 days (the day you cancel) and still have use of the facility for the 60 days OR pay $99 to cancel (forfeit any money you put down as and enrollment) and have no more use of the facility.

I'm so glad I joined when I did! I love this location because I feel like I have a good support system here. Yes, I do miss my old gym at times, but I like this smaller more intimate setting. Ms. Patricia got me signed up. She is super sweet and super awesome! She always greets me with a smile whenever I come in and she always has some encouraging words whenever she can tell something is bothering me. She is super helpful with everything. Another positive is that it smells wonderful whenever you walk in. Its almost like a spa because you are instantly relaxed.

The workouts are great. They run on a loop in the saunas. Maximum 3 people per sauna so that's a plus, but it is kind of cramped if you are long and tall, so I would check it out first to see if it is going to work for you. You sign up for spaces on the app.

You have to have the hotworx mat and towel to go into the saunas and no shoes while you're working out, except for the cycle and blast classes where you obviously have to wear shoes. They also have a free weight area in the back not in a sauna if you want to do something like that.

I can't say enough good things about this place! I was a little apprehensive at first thinking "how is it going to benefit me to watch a workout video when I can do that at home?" but let me tell you what.... these workouts will test your strength and make you SWEAT!! I did my intro a month ago and felt so amazing after that workout that without hesitation I signed up. I love the fact that I can choose what time and what workout I want to do and they're legit open 24/7. I work retail hours so finding a gym with classes that work with my schedule was difficult. It's always clean and the staff is so attentive to their members. Melanie and Patricia really show how passionate they are to the business.
