From the very first day, my student absolutely loved this karate class! As someone new to martial arts, I was amazed at how welcoming and supportive the environment was. Sensei David and his daughter are truly gifted instructors. They take their time with each student, meeting them right where they are and helping them progress at their own pace. There's no pressure, just steady, intentional growth.

What sets this program apart is its Christian foundation. The integration of biblical values into the lessons adds so much depth. Students don't just learn self-defense, they gain self-control, discipline, and confidence, all while being encouraged to walk in integrity and purpose.

Sensei David and his daughter are not only skilled martial artists, but also compassionate leaders who truly care about their students' whole development...physically, mentally, and spiritually. I recommend this place to anyone. Adults and kids. Sensei David and Sensei Sidney are good with the kids. Love the way they teach and the structure they instill in the kids. This is one of very few places we’ve found in our lives that have made us feel truly blessed, almost serendipitous. I could not be more pleased with the program House of Courage employs. After just over a month, my 11yo son is already showing a sense of pride in himself and what he has learned. From the very first time my 6 year old son did the trial class-I recognized something in this school that enticed us to sign up. A Christian Martial Art system-what a unique gem! I love that they instill the same values of other martial arts schools; courage, discipline, strength, endurance, etc., but they also ensure that it is all by God’s design by incorporating Him/biblical scripture into their training. It really is such a wonderful school, so VERY thankful for Sensei David.

We love House of Courage! There are so many karate and martial arts places in Dallas; but I choose to drive 40 minutes two times a week just so my kids can train with David and Sydney. They are incredible teachers! My kids are not only learning karate; they are learning how to use their gifts to give God glory. This is what HOC teaches and what David and Sydney demonstrate by using their gifts to serve my family. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Amazing Christian based Karate/Martial arts! I enrolled my little Princess in it, and this has by far been her favorite extra curricular activity. It teaches them faith based Karate, discipline, listening, gross/motor, and life skills. You can see the passion Sensei has, and he keeps them in line! Can’t wait to see the progression. Well worth the money!

This place is the real deal! Our son has been coming here for the last two months in the courageous cubs program, and his progress is just amazing already. He has gained a tremendous sense of confindence and he also has a new sense of self discipline. The fact that they are christian based and incorporate that into the martial arts is icing on the cake. You can tell he genuinely loves the kids and desires them to learn both about God and karate.

Great experiences with House of Courage Karate! David and his assistant are very knowledgeable and know how to teach young children in a way that increases their confidence as well as their skills.

The added benefit: prayer before and after each lesson. The kids who attend here are being led purposefully.

Great place to study martial arts, especially if you want to avoid eastern philosophy and still learn how to defend yourself. My son has been going for a couple of years, my daughter and wife about six months and I've been going for a year to the adult class. We've experienced the cubs the youth and the adults and all are enriching. The instructors care about the kids.
