Everyone in my aerial classes(staff and students) are very welcoming to new people; and the teachers accommodate the regular students who have been taking classes and need a challenge. They balance it out well and the class is a fun! You definitely feel stronger in the arms and abs area.

I got to try the aerial silks class that focused on strengthening and it was very nice! It's clear that most of the students are regulars but they made me feel welcome. Got a good workout in and my arms and abs were sore after. This dance center is a bit too far from where I live to come here regularly but I would be curious about trying their other dance classes & maybe one day completing the beginner aerial silks series.

Accessible and fun adult classes with an amazing trial period! I hadn't danced in years and was apprehensive about signing up at first. But I committed to a few classes a week for their trial month and it was super worth it. The instructors were patient with me even though there were a lot of way more advanced people, and it improved my overall mood as well as confidence in life. Am a returning member now

Have been to a few drop-in classes with different instructors, and every single one has left me feeling fit, empowered, and joyful. HDC has made aerial very accessible, and everyone is so friendly and welcoming! Definitely give it a go, y'all! (:

The adult program has high quality classes with engaged and educated instructors that truly teach to the skills of the class members. Classes are not only fun, but provide true Dance education. At the same time, classes are laid back and welcoming to all levels and abilities. Classes are collaborative with a sense of community and focus on the love of Dance and learning. The studio community is friendly and promotes an inclusive environment. I have tried many are adult Dance classes and this studio is by far my favorite so far!

My daughter has been taking aerial here for a year and a half. We just absolutely love the center and the instructors. We actually moved 40 minutes away, but still make the drive just because it’s worth it (rather than switch to another place 5 minutes from our new home). Highly recommend HDC for all ages. Such a wonderful place.

I had so many silk sampler classes with Sarah and I loved it. She’s friendly, professional and prioritize your safety.
Prices are average and I love that I can use my class pass credit at this studio.

I couldn't ask for a better studio. I mainly come to Hunter for aerial but I also enjoy barre, pilates, modern dance, and the stretch and flexibility classes. Every instructor is amazing. There's a strong sense of community here, everyone I've interacted with has been motivating and without judgement. It can be intimidating being an adult and just starting your journey with dance, aerial, etc. but here it doesn't matter if you have 0 experience or 20 years worth, you'll fit in. If you're looking for a unique, fun, killer workout then I couldn't recommend Hunter enough.

I trained in dance for 18 years of my life. Three of my children studied dance for years. I wish this studio had opened more than three years ago. My youngest child is thriving here. The Director of the Studio has created a place where every individual can grow in a nurturing and challenging environment. They care about dance as an expressive form it is not a competition to perform “tricks” with your body. In fact, learning to dance using the body correctly to prevent injury and tracking the dancers an awareness of this is part of every class. This studio is a family and the variety of personalities beliefs and cultures represented here is amazing.
We are thankful every day at Hunter!!!

Wonderful place. Very friendly and accomodating. Scholarships offered for any child in need. They work with me, so my son can take all the classes he'd like to. They truly believe dance education should be accessible to every child.

Have not come across a more money-hungry, poorly-run Center. Wants us to pay for extra Pilates classes at 80 and hour (!) Refuses to pro-rate Semester fee if joining mid-term, and does “policy changes” without notice.

Wonderful teachers. Good schedule. Parking is ok. Only one access off of Shephard (cant access via Durham). Reasonable rates. Also great aerial Conditioning and beginner classes. Love going here!

I toured the studios today and know Lauren Pastorek and Annie Arnoult as excellent dancers, choreographers, and instructors. This studio is very open and supportive of local artists and the dance community. It is a very nice, safe location that reminds me of a Hollywood movie set with a lot of other great activities around like Discover Gymnastics and Wonderwild.
