I wasn’t going to leave a review, but I feel I have to, since reviews help me get an idea of the kind of service I’m trying to get. Unfortunately, I didn’t look at the comments first because I was misled by the impression their page gave , that they were professional and reliable. To keep it short and without going into details, all I can say is that they lack professionalism and don’t seem to care about their customers (at least not in my case). I was expecting a pleasant experience with good energy, but after reading the reviews now, everything makes sense. The only good thing is that I didn’t pay for bad service; the bad thing is that I ended up disappointing a friend who recently lost her mother and came from another city. I had an itinerary planned just for her, and I had to cancel it.

EDITED TO RESPOND TO OWNER: Inner Diva - It is clear from your responses to several negative reviews here and from my experience with you that your intent is not to improve your studio or to extend the same courtesy that you expect from students but to continuously be defensive. That is unfortunate and highly unprofessional. It is important to also dispel your fraudulent claims that I entered staff areas and only ever arrived late as that is untrue, egregious and speaks volumes about your character and studios integrity. I highlighted the fact that most studios give more than 5 mins grace as they understand it is needed and cautioned anyone with a normal job who cannot guarantee that they will always fit into that timeframe to choose a more considerate studio. Moreover I highlighted the disturbing incident where I was there within the timeframe but was denied entry. Your feelings on past tardiness did not negate your responsibility to honor my payment of almost $70 if I was there on time.
The main point of my review however which you conveniently disregarded was that I have documented accounts of your studio starting and ending late continuously, having students wait to start and not displaying the same respect for time that you do when you decide to cruelly deny entry. You choose to allow this, and not address the uncaring attitudes of you or your front staff while continuing to accept money from students. The responsibility to be equally courteous is a vital part of that transaction when you accept our money. You are well aware that I supported you on many occasions just to be treated that way. Hopefully you may resolve this however my sole intent is to warn future patrons as it is evident through discussions with other students, from my experience and from other reviews on here that has been happening for a while and you have no intention of acknowledging or making efforts to change. The class variety at this studio encouraged me to try it out and in the beginning I vehemently supported most of their events however this was completely darkened by inconsiderate and rude interactions with the owner and employees. The studio has only a 5 minute grace policy which is the least I have ever seen with studios however does not hold up their end to ensure that their classes start or end on time. I paid almost $70 for a workshop, spent money on an uber and rushed through traffic to arrive within this threshold however no one was at the front desk and I would not be permitted entry once I finally was able to get the owners attention. I completed the rest of my classes that i had signed up for and took meticulous notes of multiple occasions late classes. Most students do not have a problem with this as we understand the need for flexibility and grace periods and courteous late students do not disrupt us (this was the reason I was given for the policy) but if the owner wants to enforce this limited timeframe on students the same respect and consideration need to be given all-around. On more than one occasion I arrived to the studio for a craft event that was canceled but not updated on the website. This has been coupled with cold demeanor from the people at the front (I once asked to charge a dying phone which would have left me stranded and was met with a cold uncaring response). It is confusing to me as Inner Diva claims hold several meditation sessions that encourage a considerate environment but seem to be front for solely business interests. The energy is dark and uncaring. If you care about how you are treated choose another studio. From the comments it appears that other students of color have experienced the same things I have regarding entry and other late students have been permitted entry so there's obviously a lapse or preferential treatment. Hopefully changes will be made to foster a more fair environment so other students dont have to ensure what I have but it appears that nothing has been done to improve this since the other comments were left. I will not be returning.

This was a beginner-level pole dance class.

Parking was available and easy to access at the time of my visit.

The studio’s website clearly states that no one who is late will be allowed in. The front desk staff member explained the check-in process clearly, including the studio’s no-shoes policy. Shoes are left outside the studio space on the floor.

The lobby contains a variety of merchandise available for purchase. There are multiple bathrooms available for students. The studio is clean, open, and well-maintained with ample space around poles. We were allowed to bring purses, car keys, and cell phone inside the studio. It would be useful to bring socks to class for some of the moves.

The class was led by an experienced instructor. She is physically fit and lithe. She was kind and non-intimidating. She started the class with a brief but necessary warm-up, stretching session. The music was appropriate and not so loud that the instructor couldn't be heard.

Most students shared a pole with another person; a few did not. Sharing a pole allowed for rest breaks, observation, and camaraderie. Class time was fully utilized for instruction and practice. The instructor allowed us to take personal photos of our friends or our group at the end of class if we desired.

We finally got to try puppy yoga and it did not disappoint. The class was the perfect mix of yoga and playful puppy cuddles, and the instructor made it such an enjoyable experience. Hands down one of the best things we have ever done and we highly recommend this studio.

Attended a sound bath here. The setting was pleasant. However, the sound bath was far from relaxing. The sound bath teacher played a recording at a really high volume, the the point that it felt like my eardrums were going to rupture. The acoustics in the dance studio are absolutely not amenable for sound baths; the sounds bounce harshly off the walls and amplify. The sound bath teacher seemed to not have a deep understanding of sound therapy and the environmental requirements for it to be effective.
I left more tense than I came.

This was the best experience I planned for my 50th birthday! Our instructor was AMAZING!!! She was patient, fun, accommodating with capturing photos and videos, and just everything we wanted to make our class fun. My friends and I traveled from San Antonio, Dallas, and Little Rock to Austin, for an eventful weekend, and Inner Diva was the highlight of our trip. I've been coming here for over 8 months and it's my happy place. I had never done pole before last year and all the instructors were so welcoming. It can be intimidating to try a new sport/hobby, but the Introduction level classes are perfect for anyone! You don't have to be super strong or flexible to enjoy and learn at Inner Diva, then teach in an approachable way that builds gradually. There's no pressure to advance quickly, no competitiveness, and no judgement. I don't know if I would have stuck to pole or learned as much as I have at any other studio in the area.

Beyond that, the studio is always clean and comfortable. Amber, Démi (hopefully spelling it right) and Monica all make Inner Diva one of my favorite places to go each week, so much so that I now drive an hour one way to make it to class!

I have been a student at Inner Diva Studios for a while now. The environment is so inviting and encouraging which keeps me coming back. All of the instructors are amazing!! Booked my first class to the studio and was looking forward to reconnect with a pole instructor. I had called ahead and instructed the lady on the phone that I would be 5 minutes late. She told me to me to go ahead and come but that they had a strict no late policy. It’s my first class and they registered me. I came and was treated poorly by the lady with all the tattoos on her neck. She told me the opposite of what I was told. I arrived at 3:36 and she gave me hell. I informed her I would have went home and is why I called. She was cold and rude and thought my stress was funny. As someone coming to pole after a long time it was very unfriendly to be restricted as I don’t know their policy and was told to come. She called me
“girl” several times which is a trigger for me as a Black woman to be addressed that way. I do not recommend this studio as I consider my pole studio to be a home. As a Black poler, I have found it to be very difficult to find a pole studio in Austin that feels like a safe space. To anyone, I do not recommend just based off of lack of customer service, professionalism, and lack of customer care. She also said they didn’t need any of my business as they have a lot of business already. She definitely doesn’t need to be at the front desk.

There was no goodwill and since I have added this review this company has deleted my review on their social media. I have frequented dance studios for the last 10 years and never had an experience this bad with people who then try to hide the review. They must have heard my voice and then seen my face and changed their whole demeanor. I have no reason to waste my own time. I was told I could come and then treated poorly. Just own your poor service.

And now it’s abuse - you all and the microagressions. I demanded my money and was called girl and told to leave. I spoke to you all 3 times before coming but I bet all Black women are abusive and it’s okay for while women to call us “girl” and be rude on sight. People are tired of this. Surprise I was not a white woman, I turned up Black and was turned away. Own your bias. It didn’t escalate until I was treated rudely and disrespected. She excuses her behavior so I guess excuse my reaction. Again - do NOT recommend - especially for people of color.

My family and I came for private dance lessons this Saturday. The manager there was AMAZING!!! So talented, fun, creative and supportive of us. She really made our day and brought out that inner bad diva in all of us. If I lived in Austin, this would be my home for classes and learning new moves while staying active. I have had the delightful opportunity to visit inner diva and am amazed at the quality of the teachers, outstanding facilities and breadth of class opportunities. My single membership is good for dance, pole, flexibility and silk ariel classes. Nowhere in Austin can I do so much at one studio and I have made lots of new friends.

I love that they care not just about their students, but also the community by providing adoption fundraisers for local animal shelters.

I went to puppy yoga and we were encouraged to bring our own mats due to limited amounts. My expensive mat was peed on and the smell won’t come out. The puppy owners talked the whole time even during Shavasana. Super crowded, kept having to move to not hit the people around me and everyone’s mat was basically touching. :/ the staff told me I could buy some deep cleaning mat spray and that’s it. Not recommending, not returning.

I love this studio. There are a variety of classes for all levels so I never get bored. Sherri's pole conditioning class is one of my favorites. She changes it up, so it's always different. It's a great workout, a lot of fun, and I am noticably stronger. Kristin is another dynamic teacher. I really enjoy taking her pole classes and Fit & flexy classes. She is encouraging and creative. Tried a pole dance last year with Groupon but it was so cold I never made it back until it was a girlfriends birthday pole party session with Shiloh on December 2, 2023. Stacey took down the deposit and reserved the day, time and instructor as requested perfectly. I decided to try a beginners pole class, the class room was very full where we had to share two people to a pole and some 3. With this you don’t get much time to be on the pole and get anything done. You just get a few tries. The Instructor was really good I just think since you pay for a class there should be a limit to how many they take in to how many poles are available.

Booked an appointment months in advance for a bachelorette party and no one showed up for our class. Paid $120 to Uber out of our way and woke up early to get there. Great class! Lexi was an amazing teacher! She broke thing down while also helping strive for bigger goals. She was soo encouraging as I was scared it being my first class! I can’t wait to attend the next class. If your looking for something out your comfort zone do it! Was 100% worth it! I think if you sign up through ClassPass you don't get the email of what to bring/wear/not to do. Don't wear jewelry, wear short shorts so your skin can grip the pole. Be prepared to bruise/be sore if this is your first time. It's alot of work supporting your own body weight. If you have platforms, wear them! I did the intro to spin pole and had alot of fun. There were more girls than poles so me and this other beginner shared one and the instructor made effort to come to us specifically to provide guidance. Class went by so fast! Don't be late! Bring a yoga mat for the warm up if you don't want to use a shared yoga mat. And realize that the conditioning means wiping down the pole with special spray so it gives you grip. I had a great time and am looking into doing a series to advance from noob to beginner. LOL.

The place is cute and it’s nice vibe but it’s smells weird. When you book a bachelorette pole dance class, they don’t have anywhere for drinks or cute cups. They don’t teach you a routine or dance, only tricks on pole that are very difficult for the common person to do. If your looking for a workout strictly then they can definitely give you that in a pole class.

Had a wonderful time. It’s such a great workout. Arms were a little sore the next day, not gonna lie. But it was so worth it. I wish I got the instructors name on Saturday at the 10am class, she really was helpful. She did step by step, slow motion as much as she could. My husband and I are trans masculine and wanted to find something fun and different to do for our recent dating anniversary. I don't remember how the idea of a pole dancing class came up but soon we were googling and this studio came up as being nearby and LGBT friendly. It was easy to look at what classes were offered, as well as the registration process, so we decided to go for it. Everyone at the studio was friendly and didn't act like we were out of place or treat us differently. And the class was a lot of fun! We definitely plan on going back in the future. I like the different package options available if one is attending classes on a regular basis too, I feel like I won't have to break the bank if we get more into it. :)

I went to my first ever pole class and I loved it! The studio is very body positive, it’s sexy, safe and fun! The lady at the desk was welcoming and appears to love representing the studio. I signed up immediately after my class, it’s great value for money! The instructor was awesome and incredibly talented. I can’t wait to be good enough to put some of the amazing heeled shoes on they have for sale. Next time I’m wearing short shorts (don’t wear leggings, you need that thigh skin to grip the pole).

I had called to book with Inner Diva Studio for a friends bachelorette party and just let me say we were NOT disappointed!!! I am awful with names unfortunately so I can not mention the two ladies that I had dealt with. When calling to schedule the appointment the lady who I spoke with (who on the day of the appointment was the same lady who checked us in) was awesome! She was very friendly, informative and anything she didn’t have the answer to right when I asked she made sure to find out and get back to me right away. Our instructor was amazing as well! We had a party with a mix of body types (some more self conscious than others) and athletic levels and not one of us felt uncomfortable! The only bad thing that I could possibly say is that we were from out of town so we won’t be able to be regulars at the studio, but we definitely intend on being back! I enjoyed the class, however, the one hour class went by fast. You spend about 15 mins stretching and the remaining 45mins is watching the instructor do the trick and you get about 5mins max practicing it before the instructor moves on to the next trick. I would have preferred less tricks more time spent to practice.

Instructor was very good at balancing the 3 'main' students' varying levels of pole knowledge. She kept it fun and kept it moving so no one got frustrated or stuck on one particular thing.

Returning to live classes after COVID, I was surprised at the lack of cleaning protocols - e.g. for mats. Poles were left to each student.

Separately, I don't know if this is studio protocol or the specific instructor, but a student who had never taken a lesson AND arrived more than 20 minutes late was allowed to join. While the instructor gave her directions to warm up, she did not follow them. Then she derailed a class by needing extra help for every move. My understanding is that there are thresholds for students to move from 'Intro' to Level 1. If not, I'd like there to be.

There was no spray for us to clean off our mats when we were finished as well please do a better job of keeping clean... I booked a small pole party for my birthday and paid the deposit over the phone. When we arrived the, the instructor welcomed us into the pole studio. She was nice and tried her best to be encouraging(lots of claps and yays???). When we our done our last performance, we were left in the studio. The instructor came back to get her things and awkwardly escorted us to the door after her. Half my party along with the instructor was out of the door when someone from behind the counter starts yelling at us as if we were stealing. She lets us know that she wasn’t here when we arrived and there is $40 due on the reservation. After we pay she then “hopes we had a good time.” Poor customer service here and they don’t care about your experience.

This studio is great! However, it's not for the faint of heart. If you're looking for both a tough workout and to seriously learn and improve your pole dancing, this is the place for you. I've been to a few other studios, most of which were super beginner friendly. However, I felt as though I plateaued quickly and was unable to progress as much as I wanted to. The classes I've taken at this studio so far have been challenging and I've made tremendous progress. Just the vibe I was looking for!

I went for a Bachelorette party and our instructor was amazing. She took her time explaining each move and made it fun and sexy. She also had amazing confidence which gave us confidence. The brude to be left her wallet and they meet us back 20 minutes later to let us back in to pick it up.

Inner Diva Studio offers fun, exciting, and empowering classes! Sometimes their pole classes will have a tendency to allow over booking for more than there are poles available and some folks will need to share a pole/take turns. If coming in with a Groupon or friends it’s not as bad, but if you’re a regular, it could hamper the experience as the classes are only an hour and there are a lot of different moves you’ll learn in one class for a mini routine.
Overall: lovely staff, fun experiences. They offer some merchandise in the studio for dance attire and shoes as well.

Inner Diva is an excellent pole studio. I was visiting Austin and was trying to find a studio to get my pole practice in. I called the front desk, based on my skill we chose level 1 and 2. It was the correct choice. The class pushed me to have great practice and thought me new techniques to help me when I get back to my hometown studio. We—bachelorette party of 9—never received services from this facility yet my card was still charged the deposit. We had several bookings (Twisted Texas Tours, Inner Diva, Hamilton Pool Vineyards, Soul Cycle, GOGA Yoga) for Saturday. Completely beyond our control and due to an overbooking glitch in their system, Twisted Texas Tours canceled our brunch tour and refunded us $900. We had to scramble to book an alternate brunch tour for a party of 9 on one of the busiest weekends in Austin. The limited available times for a party of 9 caused us to have to cancel or reschedule all other bookings that day. EVERY company—except Inner Diva—was more than accommodating and worked with us so that we could give the bride the best day! Inner Diva did not have an alternate time available and refused to refund the deposit. We informed them of the booking error almost two weeks prior to our arrival and provided proof of our cancellation. Austin is an incredible place with amazing companies that went above and beyond to right our stressful situation and offered superior customer service. I would book with any company in Austin before booking with Inner Diva as it is completely wrong to charge customers when they cannot make a booking through no fault of their own, especially when all companies communicated awareness of frequent system glitches.

I have been going to Inner Diva Studios for just under a week and I cannot say enough good about this place. The environment is so friendly and accepting off all body types, orientations and experience levels. The staff are kind, experienced and patient. Ive never twerked in my life but Jade was so positive and upbeat that even when I was feeling super awkward I was still having fun and learning. Really all of the staff are amazing but that experience really stuck out.
Its great to have something active that I've planned into my schedule and the cost is reasonable. In addition to learning new skills the fitness component is emphasized by all of the instructors and it's really helped motivate me to get back into both strength and flexibility training after a year of laziness. I'm so happy I found inner diva studios and I'm talking them up to everyone. 💓

I booked a pole dancing class with Inner Diva Studios for my sister's Bachelorette Party over Memorial Day Weekend and it was A BLAST. The Inner Diva Studios team is fantastic. They kindly and thoughtfully answered any questions I had, took note of playlist/routine song requests for the Bride (Britney Spears' Toxic!) and Kristen, our instructor, was amazing. We had a few girls that were nervous and this was mostly everyone's first pole dancing class, but they made everyone feel comfortable, relaxed, and fabulous. I love taking classes at this studio! I have been taking classes for about 5 months now a couple of times a week and have gained so much strength! As someone with no dance or weightlifting background, I can say the experiences have been nothing but positive. They have pole classes at various times of the week and for different levels, so it’s ideal for people who have varying work schedules or other life obligations. All of the instructors are positive, encouraging and willing to make modifications depending on what level poler you are. The front desk lady, Mimi is also super sweet and welcoming.
