This is the best place to learn Martial arts, I’ve gained a great amount of confidence since I’ve started here, and I can fight way better, there was an incident in my 20s where I was paralyzed from the waist down basically but I learned to walk again over the course of 3 years. I still have problems but I’ve gained a great amount of my maneuverability back thank to inner fire martial arts. I mean I don’t talk about it with any one but I feel as if I’m lighter and my legs have become more loosened I’m moving like I thought I’d never be able to again. After a scary situation I was in, I was immediately looking for self-defense classes. Inner Fire had amazing reviews so I figured I’d give them a call. They offered me a free class to try it out and then an 8-week trial period to really get a feel for it. The classes are fun, always pushing you to learn more, and the instructors are phenomenal. Everyone has been so thoughtful, and you can tell that every employee loves what they do and loves to teach others. Mr. Guerra is an awesome teacher when it comes to identifying your strengths and weaknesses and is also the person who helped me form my style. Mr. Bridges is one of the most genuine people I have ever met. He looks forward to seeing his students everyday and works his hardest to spar with them and bring out the best in them. Mr. Gary the owner is a very knowledgeable and down to earth guy who will push you to your limits and make you strive to be a better martial artist and a better person overall. Sparring classes are my personal favorite and in my opinion is where it counts the most!

I wanted to share a very sweet story and give a shout out to Inner Fire Martial Arts.
My 8 year old wanted to learn karate and it's hard to find someone who's willing to teach your autistic child. We've been ghosted before and it's very discouraging and disheartening for a kid. Anyway, you want the best for your child - special needs or not - so I called around and spoke with Mr. Gary, the founder. He invited us to come in so he could meet my daughter. She had a private lesson with him that night and he truly sparked her confidence: She even punched through a piece of wood! Next we tried to attend a beginner's class but we all agreed that she needs more attention and would benefit from one on one sessions. I didn't want to push the subject knowing about the extra effort and time but Mr. Gary offered us private lesson packages! My daughter met with her sensei, Mr. Bridges who is patient, kind and just as loving as Mr. G with kids. She's super excited every time we go and learns fast and Mr. Bridges adapted a lot and quickly to teach her in a way she'll understand. I'm madly in love with this dojo and the extra mile they went for us. Everyone is very respectful and kind and curious and my daughter feels included. She loves putting on her uniform and says "I am strong" - yes, darling girl, you are!
I wanted to share because this truly shows how amazing Inner Fire Martial Arts is and how much the staff cares. I can recommend them wholeheartedly and I'm grateful for the positive influence and impact they have on my daughter's life. It's important to have good role models.

I found Inner Fire through recommendations from the Pearland Mom's group on Facebook. My kids desperately needed an outlet during this pandemic. So I started all 3 a couple of months ago. The staff has been so awesome and works extremely hard to keep the children safe and parents informed during this constantly changing environment. Best decision I made all summer!

We've had THE BEST experience at Inner Fire! My six year old never wanted to miss a class. We had to stop due to COVID but can't wait to go back soon! Mr. Gary has been one of the best instructors I have ever had and blessed to have in my life. I came back to Houston looking for an outlet to keep me motivated to work out and stay in shape and I found it here. Mr. Gary and his instructors push us as students to be the best we can every time we step on that mat. His energy and the way he is around kids and adults makes you enjoy what you’re doing every day. Mr. Gary and his team are amazing! They are always there to greet the kids with smiles, hi-fives and words of encouragement. Their classes are filled with great techniques of course, but they also sit down with the group and talk about situations that may be going on at school and how to handle them. We absolutely love the instructors. They are always very positive and encouraging. My daughter, who previously didn't enjoy anything athletic, has now made it her goal to work towards her black belt. We enjoy it so much here that I joined the women's kickboxing class during the pandemic. I truly appreciate the school offering flexible classes, including classes over Zoom for those not comfortable attending in person yet. They have been so creative and involved during the shut downs.
