I took my son and his friend here during the open gym hours. It was much bigger than I had anticipated! There were a LOT of obstacles along with a full gym with weight and cardio equipment in the back. The only thing I found disappointing was the fact that a lot of areas and equipment looked a little worn down, like they needed a refresh or replacement, my son said that upstairs was really hot and the seating was pretty uncomfortable. I was surprised there was no one else there but they said more people come for classes than during the open gym time.

Unreasonable greedy money hungry manager who doesn't care about customer satisfaction and unwilling to compromise.
Response: what's truly unfair is your unwillingness to compromise or being even slightly accommodating or understanding. Your employee Taylor informed me that it would be $20 a person for a group event (same rate as a day pass). We booked for 10 people for $250, fair. We put a down-payment of $125. Due to inclement weather we had people decide the drive wasn't worth the risk, understandable. We are students and this was a social event, participation was not mandatory. We were 15 minutes late due to traffic. What should have been a 30 minute drive turned into 55. In the end, 5 people showed up. I asked you if it was ok for us to instead of doing the party pricing of $250 for 5 people ($50ea.), we could just do the normal amount (not an unreasonable request in my opinion) we werent asking for a day pass price to spend the whole day their and get more bang for our buck, just the fair pricing.
We did not ask for a time extension or any extra accommodations. We would have been fine losing the time, but to be so unwilling to compromise is unfair. To charge students $50 a person when your regular rate is $20 is unfair. Even if you kept the deposit as the entry fee for 5 people at $125 instead of the $100 it would have been, that's $25 a person instead of $20, fair. You could have said, "sure that's fine we'll keep the deposit as your entry fee, but we won't provide you a coach" that's both a compromise and fair and we would not have argued that and happily left at our designated time. What was being argued and disagreed with is charging 5 students 10 person admission. That's unfair and unnecessary.
We could have left there saying, "man how cool of them to be so accommodating. We should book them again so those who missed out can experience that and bring even more people next time so we can give them more business." Instead of, "we will never plan a social event there again." Small accommodations and compromises like that are what bring more people back excited to do business with niche places like that. Not an unwillingness to make the most out of what is available and have some level of understanding and customer satisfaction.

My grandson has been attending Iron Sports Ninja since October. The activities, facilities and caring staff from the front office to the coaches are all first class! My grandson has grown so much in confidence and skill all due to excellent coaches who make lessons of not about just gym skills but life/team skills too. I find the facility clean, well maintained and staffed by non judgmental instructors. Can’t recommend enough! Thank you coach Case and Laura!

I’ve been taking my son to this gym for over 2 months now and it’s amazing! He attends group classes and individual one on one classes as well. Coach Case has definitely helped my son improve in a variety of skills and continues to challenge him to reach his full potential all while being very patient with him in the one on one lessons. The group lessons are also helpful and well structured with all the coaches doing a great job with the kids. The gym itself has lots to offer. From beginning to advanced levels. The equipment changes every time we go in as the staff tries to challenge its customers to succeed. There’s a bottom level completely stocked with an array of ninja obstacles and gym equipment in the back. They also offer jiu-jitsu classes in an enclosed area. The top level has even more obstacles to train on. It’s a nice sized facility and they maintain it clean. As soon as you walk in, the front desk is eager to greet and assist you and all the coaches are beyond helpful, knowledgeable, annd anctually care about what they’re teaching. I would definitely recommend ninja warrior for kids and adults alike! 10/10

I don’t understand how this place has such high reviews. It’s gross and dirty and so worn out. The coaches were nice but we came in for the free trial lesson and everyone neglected to communicate that we needed chalk so my kids had blisters within the first 10 minutes (no one else was using it but for first timers it should’ve been encouraged as their hands aren’t used to swinging on bars) and had to power through the rest of the class. One of mine fell and sprained a wrist/hand/fingers on the first activity (at least I’m calling it a sprain right now while I determine if it’s bad enough to get medical attention). I’m here for risk taking, but the fact that I’m here for a class and no one is teaching how to NOT get hurt is mind blowing. Could be a nice place with a good investor and some thought.

Our family has been coming to Iron Sports since October 2023. Our kids take ninja classes and my husband and I have done personal training with the coaches.
The staff is very friendly and welcoming. It's definitely an environment for growth and development through healthy risk taking and getting out of your comfort zone. The staff is knowledgeable, encouraging, kind, and patient in their classes. Their membership options are competitively priced and worth the money IMO. There's a weight room that's available to use with a monthly membership for those not necessarily interested in ninja. They also offer birthday parties! We hosted one for our youngest and all his friends (and parents) had a great time.
It is an older building with poor insulation which makes for some cold winter classes and hot summer classes. Although it's not ideal it doesn't affect the quality of the coaching and classes.
Overall, we highly recommend this ninja gym!

We LOVE Iron Sports Ninja Warrior and am so grateful to of found them!
This gym has become our second home, and that’s no joke. My children have been taking classes there for about 5 months and it’s everything we needed! My kids needed an outlet that was going to teach them to be a teammate, as well as being competitive on an individual level. It’s pushed them to step out of their comfort zone and they have THRIVED!!
We just had our son’s birthday party there and it was perfect! Coach Monica was our host and she did not disappoint at all! She was so good with all kids. Patient with the littles that had never done anything like this before, encouraging with everyone young and old, extremely helpful and made everyone feel comfortable and welcomed.
She had great games set up and was able to get the adults involved as well. Which let’s be honest… that can be a task all in its own!
The coaches are incredibly knowledgeable and really take the time to invest in their students as all. By doing that, the students become more successful and confident growing into their skill sets. Really it feels more like a big family than being with trainers, which is also a big plus!
Hands down one of the best gyms around and we HIGHLY recommend them to everyone!
Stop by for a class and experience for yourself just how awesome it is here!

Today we tried the class with four year olds and it was horrific. Right off the bat the receptionist had me wait 5-10 minutes while she spoke to someone about the classes they offered and let us sit there with a toddler who obviously saw all of the stuff they had and wanted to run around so things didn’t start well. Then she tells us to just go upstairs, but his class that we were now late for, had started and was tucked into a corner that we didn’t see so we waited another ten minutes waiting for instructions. My husband goes down stairs and she finally elaborates where the class is and there were eventually two instructors both extremely soft spoken not making an effort to include the new kid, not helping a four year old climb a wall or encouraging him. So now it’s been a half hour my kid is crying no one is making an effort and we had to just leave. It stinks because this class was right up his alley and would’ve been great but after twenty minutes of being told to wait because we didn’t know what was happening he was just done. Super disappointed! :(
Another child stepped up and told us what to do while they were stretching because nobody even spoke to us. Just awkward eye contact. The instructor was so antisocial with all of the kids there was awkward pauses throughout the whole thing, he just seemed like this was the last place he wanted to be.

I can honestly say that the fitness instructors are not just “workers “ or doing a job, they are fulfilling a calling. You can tell when people genuinely breathe and do what they love.
I’ve been coming here three years, and there are some pictures of the “whiteboard workouts” which I still have on my phone in a special album for my own self exercise now.
There have been stories of triumph from all sorts of life obstacles out of this gym.
Understand it is not a polished place, but you have to realize it is on the same level as if you went to the gym where Rocky Balboa trained, or were at the original Woodstock 1969 if that was your scene instead. If you got to see Jimi Hendrix play the guitar personally for you on a small stage, before he was famous something like that; the point is, you are not being coached by facsimiles , you are literally in the presence of greatness here, stars, but not in their own mind who are living it out every day and it’s encouraging.
I’m happy we cohabitate a time and place together

If you are looking for getting in shape, being part of the actual show, or just finding a new hobby then this place is just for you. Whether you are a young kid to Old Adult, Man or Woman, it really does not matter. This place is perfect for everyone and lots of people come here.
Obstacles: The obstacles range from a huge variety from beginner all the way to Ninja (Master) and at no point do you ever feel like you have done everything. Because with each and every day ,the obstacles ALWAYS CHANGE plus the fact that it’s always FUN to try and complete certain obstacles, as well as have an AMAZING WAY to GET INTO SHAPE.
Teachers: The teachers are knowledgeable in their craft and have done competitions in tournaments and have ranked really high, so don’t ever think for a second that they don’t know what they are talking about. As for the way they explain advice and as for how they teach really helps me as an athlete to understand what I must do and how I must execute every course which is what you want in a ninja warrior gym. Not only that, but they are super friendly and will help you become better.
Classes: The classes are so much fun and FLEXIBLE that no matter where your skill is at you will always be working in something as a team. Not only that but classes come in memberships and the classes are TWICE a week. Now i know what you are thinking “twice a week?!?! That’s not much….” But the thing is…..it is….for everytime you are in class you are at least BOUND to TAKE OFF SOME SKIN FROM YOUR HANDS and/or have REALLY SORE HANDS. So the way that the classes are placed are really neat and help encourage people to heal and be ready by next class session.
Overall Gym 10/10 this gym really has More features like weights, jiu jitsu classes and other things but for the fact that it’s for EVERYONE and the classes are AMAZING I really couldn’t shy away from this GOLDEN opportunity.

We went here today trying to enroll my 12 yr old son for evening classes. We got there and there is a bday party going on. The guy in the front desk told us to wait because he is checking in people for a party. I understand we sat down and patiently waited. More than 30 mins waiting. No one is telling us anything and the guy in the front desk just sitting there with no one checking in for the party. It could have been understandable if they told us that it is not a good time to register today as they are busy and just come back some other day. I can accept that. We left and told the guy its ok. Smh! My son would really love to go here but we wasted our time and gas going to this place! Very disappointed!!!!!!!

I brought my kids here for "Open Gym" and it was a terrible experience. The only person there was a young lady at the front desk. Although she was friendly she was not very helpful with this being our first visit. The whole place seemed extremely disorderly and unsanitary. The few obstacles that were set up, my kids (ages 8 and 10) were hardly able to reach them. They were way too high to even attempt the obstacle properly, even when we stacked foam mats. They tried to make the best of it but we only stayed about 30 minutes and most of that time was spent trying to figure out what to do. I'm posting this review months after our visit but I wanted to be sure to leave a cautionary review for potential clients. I was so confused because I've heard many great things about this place.

Great gym for my kiddo to work on his "ninja skills" because the coaches are great at supporting beginners while still challenging advanced ninja warriors. Very impressed from our first class to open gym. Older athletes are great with kiddos practicing alongside them. Everyone has a growth mindset and are understanding of beginners (especially a talkative one like mine) and give gentle correction.

This facility is quite the hidden gem and I’d gladly schedule regular classes and future parties here without a doubt. Thank you Iron Sports and especially Blake you guys made my eight year olds birthday the best according to him.

Just call if you want any accurate info. The info on the website is trash and completely inaccurate. The walk in hours are totally different from what the website says and even as a walk-in you have to make a reservation for a time slot (which defeats the purpose of a walk-in). Fix the website and I'll visit and update my review.
Update: website not fix but my visit was fine. Some courses were okay. The gym was absolutley amazing though. Very nice weights!

His coaches are the most caring and patient. Coach Josh Salinas and Coach Grant Kiningham have helped my little ninja grow in such amazing way! I highly recommend this gym to everyone!

This is truly and great gym with great staff. I go here often for competitions and every time I have gone the competition are fun, organized and timely. For those of you who go to Ninja Competitions often you know how rare it is to see all of these things in one place.
I have also met a number of staff whom I’ve became very close with. One good friend I met through this gym is Grant. Along with Grant I’ve befriended a number of other great ninjas! The owners Chelsea and Josh are two of the most hard working and dedicated people I have ever met.
I could not recommend this place enough!

Absolutely love Iron Sports!! We have 3 kids (11, 9 & 9) who participate in their programs and they all love it!! It's so awesome to see all the kids ENCOURAGING one another to beat the OBSTACLE rather than tearing each other down like you see in some other youth sport programs. Such a great, positive, encouraging atmosphere where kids can push the limits of their skills in a safe, professional environment. The also get exposed to some of top national athletes in the sport - Josh Salinas, Daniel Gil, among many many others train at the facility and are always open and engaging with the kids. And above all, the staff and coaches (Grant Kiningham, Nathan Kiningham and all the others) are AWESOME!!

My experience with iron sports was awesome. It definitely provides a good space to push yourself physically and the way I saw it, its basically an giant playground where by the end of your time there you feel as swole as Arnold Schwarzenegger. Grant Kiningham was great in showing me the different drills and exercise they do and going up the warped wall was an awesome experience and achievement that I didn't think I could do til Grant motivated me to do it. Both He and Nathan were awesome hosts and I'd definitely go back sometime and recommend it to anyone looking to stay in shape or just test their own limits.

This place is AMAZING!!! Came in a while back with a friend and I was a little nervous but had so much fun. The staff is friendly and my instructor Grant was a pro. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable on form and training since I had no idea what I was doing. He was patient and guided me through different obstacles and oh boy does this place have a lot of obstacles. Honestly the funnest workout I have ever had, I’m grateful to Grant for making it as enjoyable as it was. Not only did I get a great work out but I left feeling like a ninja warrior!

Brought my son here for his birthday. He got a private session with Josh Salinas which was awesome. All the staff was helpful and friendly and not in a tiered put-on retail way but genuine and all seemed to be happy with their jobs. There is so much going on here, so if you are into fitness, American Ninja Warrior, martial arts or physical training of any sort this would be the place to go if you are in the Huston area.

THIS PLACE IS AWESOME! We stopped by for a “Parent’s Night Out” event 5 years ago, and my kids were hooked! We started out small, attending the Mini-Ninja class once a week, and yesterday just attended a watch party because my son got the call for ANW Jr! The coaches are excellent, especially coach Josh (pick one)! They challenge the kids to their ability by pushing their limits which helps confidence levels. Shoot, I even worked out a few times!
The Star Power of this place is 2nd to none. It seems like almost every athlete you see on The Show is in someway seemingly connected to Iron Sports. They are all quick to pose for pictures and chat with the awestruck kids. Makes you feel good to be associated with a facility that cares more about the athlete than the bottom line.

Our daughter was 5 when she first discovered and fell in love with Iron Sports. I have been singing their praises ever since. She has energy to spare, my SuzieQ and this is the perfect place for her to do it. Since our first visit in October of 2018, the classes and coaches here have helped her face and conquer so many fears, it's like she isn't the same kid. Don't get me wrong... she's still scared sometimes, but she tries. This is HUGE. Her only sibling is 16 years older than her and she's not used to life growing up with roughhousing, so you could call her a bit timid. The place is a little rustic. I've been to a couple other gyms where everything is shiny and color matching, but let me tell you... that doesn't equate to greatness(I'm not knocking those places at all, just saying that shiny/new is not important). This gym sent 10, yes TEN of its people into city finals, that's out of the 17 that made it to qualifiers.
NINE Iron Sports athletes made it to Las Vegas NATIONAL Finals. That's 9 out of 86 athletes across the country. Out of curiosity I looked up how many ninja gyms there are in the US... 191. That means, if every gym was equal, they would send less than 1/2 of an athlete... Iron sports sent NINE! BOOM
Do you want a champion? You can build one here.
If you just want fun, oh my gosh.... when my daughter had her 6th birthday party this year, my favorite part of the entire event was watching the looks on all the parents' faces. Every one of them was beaming. It is FUN watching your kid do this stuff. And inspiring too... cuz guess who started working out??? Me.
The coaches are supportive and encouraging. When they see SuzieQ working on something (not in class, just on her own) they whoop and cheer her victories. They say hello when she walks in. She's six, but they say hello. They acknowledge her. That's vital because it builds a sense of belonging. We love Iron Sports for a million reasons, come in and give it a whirl, we think you'll love it too.

The ninja competition they host is a lot of fun. So much talent in this gym. Iron Sports staff is helpful and encouraging with the kids they get a 5⭐. The upstairs could gets 3⭐. In my opinion the carpet bunched up can be unsafe for little ones running around jumping they could easily twist an ankle. Not to mention it's an eye sore.
I posted the picture of the height kids were jumping down from. The floor they are landing on is foamed but not thick foam. From that height there should be more padding across the entire obstacle to decrease injuries. The foam blocks end 4ft from the end of the obstacle. This little guy jumping from that height could easily hurt himself if he landed just a little wrong. There were a good handful of kids that could safety roll/properly fall from that height but new kids may not know that technique yet. Overall I would still recommend the gym I would just like to see the safety step up a little more.

Well, some fun can be had here; lots of different obstacles, but it's more of a "Rocky" style, bare bones place. The service here definitely seemed to prefer to cater more to regulars trying to train for the next ninja warrior thus myself and 2 other families that were looking for something for kids (9-13 yo) to try and get interested in on a Monday, 3/11/19.
It was downhill from the beginning with their groupon deal. Their pass for 2 entries is for the same person only, not very clear from their groupon terms, which they love to refer back to, but again, not very clear and left to "their" interpretation. I refuted this with them at the front desk and the "manager", one of the scrawny, taller, younger punk looking kids just said that's the way it is and left it at that. Had I not been with 2 other families, I would have left and never come back. We drove over 40 minutes to get there so, unfortunately, was stuck.
Further, every time we asked them something, it was usually a snide remark as a response and a true reluctance to want to do anything. They seemed to really want to discourage any requests. For example, the kids had been using their swinging rope for at least 30 minutes when an employee there told them that it had to be set up before the kids could use it, then walked off. Then, we went to another employee to ask them if they could help us set it up. He said he would but, well, he answered in a very depressed, short, and disengaged way, pause and to get himself to just push aside the reluctance to want to do anything, and walks slowing, like you had to pull him along, to get it done. Also, I remember my 11 yo daughter coming up to the guys behind the front desk to ask for a harness and they said they charged a dollar for it (when it's actually included in the entrance). Well, an adult answering something like that to a kid, well, it pretty much enough for me to say we'll never be back and discourage anyone to go there. By doing so, she was pretty much shut down from wanting to climb the wall and other activities requiring the harness.
You'd be better off trying somewhere else unless you live nearby and truly training to be Ninja Warrior.

Took my child to try a class today. Not sure we will be back. Perhaps we shouldn’t have went on a Saturday. The coaches were unorganized. They couldn’t control the kids and didnt even try. Way too much talking, playing, and getting on equipment that they werent supposed to be on by the kids. My daughter was pushed my other kids twice. Didnt seem to be any real structure to the class. Only one of the 3 separate coaches discussed technique. Need more structure, organization during the class and maybe more coaches to assist the kids. Too many kids in each group for one coach to handle and have time to assist and discuss technique. My daughter had fun but she didnt learn anything or gain anything from going today. Was thinking about having her party here but after today probably not. Very disappointed.

Love this place!!! We routinely have daddy daughter dates here and it is a blast. Staff is friendly and approachable.
At first the place feels overwhelming. Everywhere you look there is a different obstacle shouting “try me!” It is an adult jungle gym that can be customized.
Iron sports has loads for ages 5 and up. I enjoy designing and completing obstacles with my daughters.
This is not a place where you can do it all in one day. That and it continuously gets updates to stay in connection with the show/competition American Ninja Warrior.
If you have seen the show come and get a new appreciation for it.

Went for a kids birthday party (turning 9). The party hosts were very enthusiastic with the kids. Kids loved the ninja warrior theme obstacle courses and different challenges set-up. Best part was upstairs where they could go through a worm hole and swing across from rope to rope and fall down on to foam blocks. Huge party room for food and drinks after. Only downside is that there really isn't a place for all the parents to hang out downstairs...it almost feels if your always in the way but most of us joined our kids in the action.
