Welcome to Jae’s Fitness!! Where absolutely none of the equipment works, and you’ll spend more time staring at “out of order” signs than actually working out. The treadmills constantly break down or throw error codes mid-run, and the few machines that do turn on feel like they’re one use away from falling apart. It’s honestly embarrassing how poorly everything is maintained.
But wait—it gets better. Even the bathrooms are a disaster. Their toilet paper holder doesn’t even fit their toilet paper rolls, so you have to rip the roll apart just to use it. The result? Toilet paper shredded and scattered all over the floor like confetti. It’s gross, unhygienic, and just shows how little effort is put into basic upkeep.
And the best part? They’ll still happily charge you $30+ a month for the privilege of fighting with broken machines and leaving more frustrated than when you walked in. If you’re looking for a real workout, this is not the place—you’ll get more exercise running out the door than you ever will on their busted treadmills. Total rip-off, zero value, and not worth even a fraction of the price

Been going here for about 3+ years now, generally a very disappointing experience if you’ve ever experienced a gym in a larger area. You can go out and get a gym membership at a place for half the cost or less per month with amenities such as, saunas, showers, child care, tanning, public classes, a wide range of equipment, the ability to bring a guest+ so much more. While here in Lamesa, Jae fitness doesn’t have paper towels half the time. Refuses to even get one more lightbulb to put in the lamp in the locker room, takes out perfectly good equipment that’s not broken while there are 3/4 broken piece equipment at a time usually. And when someone comes to fix something, they fix ONE thing and leave the rest of the equipment how it is. Honestly with the lack of staff and such, the money made from the overpriced memberships could definitely be better allocated to improve the gym instead. It’s actually crazy that you’re not allowed to even bring a guest for 40+ a month. Unfortunately this is the best option in town. Some more competition would be so great for this town. At least buy a couple more light bulbs and fix the floors and maybe allow your loyal members to bring a guest. Might actually bring you more clients🤷‍♂️. So ready to be able to switch gyms permanently.

Love the place. Good communication from the staff. All equipment works. Members are respectful, and vibes are good. Just don't expect to be the only one there. It's the only decent private gym in town.

Where do I start…. I have been going here for a while and the equipment that is “temporarily broken” have been broken for YEARSSS!!!! It’s incredibly overpriced for how small, dirty and broken it is. They have a backroom they didn’t let people in for a long time unless you were doing classes. Now they open it up and close it again. Very disappointing.

The place is clean, the machines are good, it has everything you need to train, the only thing is that it does not have trainers for a beginner in the gym, for the price I expected something better in that aspect
