**SAVE YOUR MONEY AND AVOID THIS PLACE**

I came here for a quinceañera a few weeks ago. The event started at 5:30pm and when I walked in, I could immediately feel that it was a bit hotter than usual for an event taking place indoors. Around 7pm, I noticed every person attending was using the fans that the mom of the quinceañera had provided and getting water in an attempt to stay cool but it was barely helping. The AC seemed to not be working at all, it got so hot that some people started leaving or going outside for a few minutes at a time since once it got dark it was cooler outside than inside.

When the event ended, we saw an AC repair van outside and overheard the guy mention that it was an issue with the AC belt which could’ve been fixed easily but he was not contacted until the event was basically over.

The disregard from the owner of this place in fixing a simple issue is crazy, especially when you know that minors are going to be attending and that the weather will be hot, why couldn’t they be bothered to fix this issue earlier in the day.

There is also another review from an event a month prior to the quinceañera that mentioned a similar issue with the AC so clearly the owner is well aware of this continuing problem and chooses to ignore it.

We attended my friends daughter's 15 last month. The place was extremely hot. We arrived around 8:30pm and most of the guest were sweating and fanning themselves and unfortunately leaving due to the heat. I felt so bad for my friend but more for her daughter. This was supposed to be an unforgettable night full of memories for her daughter and to be ruined by no AC and having ypur guest leave before the party even ended. I would definitely NOT recommend this place. Very poor service.

I really wanted to say great things about this place, unfortunately, that won’t be the case, please BEWARE and do your research. We celebrated my daughter’s quinceañera here last month, we thought the venue was perfect due to the size since we were planning a more intimate event.
The day I did a walk through (a week before the event) I noticed it was really hot inside the venue and several (what look like) industrial fans were running, I asked if the AC was broken and if it would be fixed before the event, I was assured the AC was fine and they just don’t turn it on during the week as the place is empty. I believed them.
The day of the event we arrived to set up and it was warm inside (not as bad as the week before) and I was assured the AC would kick in and cool the place down. That never happened. I asked the person who was supposed to assist during the event what was being done about it (this around 4p), she blamed it on someone leaving the door open. Later on she herself opened the hallway door as it was at least 15 degrees cooler in the hallway . I texted the owner since 6p as Felicia told me she wasn’t getting an answer. I was given the run around the entire time. All she kept on saying was that this was not her fault and that she provided a “nice cool place for my event” . That was not the case. Sadly half of my guests ended up leaving at 8p (event started at 5:30p) due to the extreme heat we were experiencing. We ran out of water (I had prepared 5 cases for 80 guests) . We had to run get more because I was worried someone would pass out. I was heartbroken for my daughter as this is a one in a lifetime event for her.
As we were packing our trucks at end of the night (around 11:45p), we saw the AC technician in the parking lot who informed us it was a broken belt (which he fixed in less than 20 mins) and he had received the call 30 mins ago, right around the time our event was scheduled to end. This was negligent to say the least.
They ask you to leave the place clean afterwards, which is interesting given that it’s clearly not cleaned to begin with. As I was cleaning I noticed dead bugs near the area where we were supposed to set up the caterer, I’m glad we picked a different spot to set up.
You have to pay for security (as this event involved minors), the guy sat at the door the entire time, did not get off the chair st all.

An extremely disappointed experience, and the lack of accountability from the owner is frightening.

This review is in reference to a very special personal event at Jambox Dallas on September 13, 2025. There were several people celebrating my event at Jambox who came from states apart from Texas, which led to my experience being even more disappointing. Upon walking in, the floor was filthy- covered in dirt, bugs, and other matters. The wood was split on the floor area in front of the stage, and on the actual stage, the carpet was torn… posing a safety hazard for anyone who went up there to dance or speak. One of the requirements for booking the venue is to clean up after your event is finished. It makes no sense to me why the building should be cleaner than it was originally left if I’m spending all this money to reserve it. For my party, I had a 360 Photo Booth for all my guests to take pictures while feeling and looking their best. On the side where it was set up, there was a curtain left open which was in the background of all the photos. You can see electrical wires and whatever else they have behind them. The tops of the drapes on each side of the building were also sagging and uneven in comparison to one another. The event center was extremely hot, and no air was working or barely at all, which I am glad that I provided everyone with fans because without them someone could have passed out. You are required to pay for security when adult beverages are being served which was not Police and all he did was sit in the chair at the front. However, I had it covered my husband, and nephews are Police officers and where prepared in case. Lastly, the area for the caterers to serve was covered with water bugs accompanied by the carcasses of many others. Despite my guests being seemingly content, I am highly dissatisfied with the service I’ve received by having made this reservation. Day of, I tried reaching Shaunna on several occasions prior to my event’s start time, I received a text from her stating that she would have the owner to contact me which I received no callbacks or even a message regarding my concerns from the owner. I will not be booking here in the future, and I would advise you to be cautious if you are considering having an event here. This event was so special to me as I was celebrating my 55th birthday. I’ve waited years to have this party considering COVID ruined my 50th birthday plans in 2020. I might as well count this one as ruined also because the service and “accommodations” I received during this experience cannot even be expressed by the word subpar. Jambox must do better. However, the Bartender Felicia did her thing and was very up to par.

Shauna was always available when I had questions & responded within the hour or minutes. Parking was plentiful in the Arts District. Would have liked to use my event planners bartender which was included in the contract vs having to pay an additional $150 using Jambox's bartender.

Very small. No place to store anything you bring. The air conditioning is almost non existent. Seriously. Very hot. The walls are dirty looking. It is in a terrible part of town. The roads are very bad as well. They have light fixtures that would be cute, but not all of them work.

The venue during the tour and what I got the day of my event were two different things. Prior to my event on 3/26 I experienced issues attempting to pay for bar services, the system wasn’t user friendly. I was advised you have to set up an account to pay for bar services or any add ons.Initially I was sent links to make scheduled payments for the venue even reminders leading up to the payment dates which was over kill. Not sure what the purpose was of setting up an account, after the venue has been paid in full. It would have made more sense to set up an account initially once you sign the contract ,not after the fact. The event manager Shuanna advised previously that she resides in an area where she doesn’t get good reception.She wasn’t getting some of my texts so I called her whenever she wasn’t responsive. After numerous attempts to pay for bar services failed, I then had to resort to emailing the general mailbox for help. The day of my event the lounge area wasn’t set up like I had been previously shown during my tour. The small tables and individual chairs weren't in the lounge area.I was told during the tour that the venue wouldn’t be rented prior to my event but it was. I ask for a walk through prior to my event. It was booked Friday the day before as well as booked on the day of my event. Just so happened the individual that booked the event prior to mine, was a friend of my daughter’s best friend. Small world, we were advised that they were rushed out. Their event was from 2-6pm. My birthday party on 4/6 was from 6 to 12am with one hour to set up and an hour to clean up. We didn’t gain entry until 6:18pm.
We were unable to get the video to work initially, it took the staff about two hours to get it going. When I called Shuanna the day of my event regarding the video not working she came off dry and unconcerned and replied she would let the manager know. So we had to rush in order to set up which pushed us behind schedule. Why would you book two events so close knowing full well that there would be a chance for overlapping? Because that is exactly what happened. You appear to be so fixated on dollars and cents and making a profit that you are overbooking and handling the clientele like herds of cattle getting them in and out! It appears greed outweighs making sure the client is satisfied on their special day! I know that the venue shares the building with other businesses however some of the toilets were stopped up in the mens and womens restrooms. When I spend my hard earned money I expect the level of service to be top notch. I definitely felt shortchanged . And of course no follow up from anyone at Jambox after the event, not so much as a thank you. Guess that would be too much like right. When providing a service a business should always reach out to the customer for feedback. I always try to patronize black businesses, however this is one time that I regret it.

Don’t let the outside fool you! This event center was hand picked by my sisters and I for our Mom’s 70th birthday party. Basic colored table cloths (black or white) were included, and saved us a lot. We brought in a DJ, a catering company, and the stage and dance floor was already there, again saving us money. Plenty of parking and no vagrants or thefts to worry about. We had a blast and our mother, as well as her guest, are still talking about the party and venue. Thank you so much Felicia for making our dreams a reality!!! We’ll be booking again for another event.

Definitely a harder class but they have alternative moves if you need them. The instructor was amazing. I wondered why everyone else just knew what to do, but they teach you the routine at the beginning of the month, and I came towards the end. While it is a cardio class, there was a section with weights and core that I appreciated. I recommend and I will return.

If I were getting married again (which I don’t plan to), I wouldn’t have it here… nor would I recommend anyone using this place for a wedding. It doesn’t hit you what you’re getting into until after signing the contract and paying the money. Way too many LEGITIMATE issues to list (I’m limited in space when I type these things but I had A LOT of gripes… and I’m the most easy-going person I know. On the flip side, the owner was so transparent about what we were getting (for the price) that I have to respect her. (You know how you wish you knew certain things and you could go back to do them differently… but can’t? Well here I am trying to help you)….

If you want to do their group workouts, great. If you’re planning a small party or moderate gathering, cool. A full-fledged wedding… forget about it.

I highly suggest looking into other venues and truly taking note of the features/ amenities available. Compare apples to apples. Don’t totally think “cheap” or “saving money”. That WILL come back to bite you, once you’re INTO the contract. If you go with the absolute cheapest/ bare-bones basics of pricing, you’ll find yourself sweeping and taking out garbage after your own event. If you tour any JamBox facility, go in with the mindset of touring the facility. DO NOT allow yourself to get pulled into putting something on their calendar or putting down a deposit. Do so when you’re ready and you’ve done all your homework on what you need for your event.

Before signing your contract, make sure you read it and understand it. They have no problem reminding you about your contract whenever you bring up questions/ concerns that weren’t discussed in the beginning.

I didn't make an NY resolution but I did promise myself I would be more active thus year. Pandemic or Not, so one if my catering clients is an instructor at Jam Box for Trap Cardio. One hour to lift, shake, roll & sweat. Babbbby.... let me tell ya'll this class taught me two things about myself.
1. I am completely out of shape
2. I don't like synchronized workouts
I will say the instructor Robyn is full of energy & sassy. The other ladies who attended the class were just as hype. I did finish the workout which I am VERY proud of, but my joints ached for three days afterwards. I'll try anything once, but I won't be returning. Lol

Just attended a Baby Shower even here at this Jam Box in Dallas on 921 North River Front Blvd. The facility was very nice and we have a comfortable, clean and safe setting for this even from 2 pm to 5 pm.

I recently had a party there for a family members birthday. I loved the location as well as how the venue was decorated. The curtains around the room with the colored lights are beautiful and I loved that I could customize a lot of the space. We decorated all the tables with centerpieces and candles. Overall my experience with this company has been pleasant.

My only problem was when it came down to the cleaning. I paid to stay til 12 and clean up started at 11. The lady they had to come in at the end of my event TISH was very unpleasant. By 11:02 she was putting my tables and chairs up. She didn't allow us to even get everything off the tables before she set things to the side and took the chairs. We were completely rushed out of the space. By 11:30 I was in my car. It was so unpleasant that some of my guests started to complain and ask the security if we were being forced out. She was telling the security that she was having a long day but that's no excuse to push us out of the venue earlier then what I paid for.

I'm having my reception here.. Update... We had to cancel our reception due to COVID-19 and they didn't care. Its about money for them. Rip-off. I reserved in July cancelled in August but because it wasn't 90 days before my event then they kept all the money. So be careful when booking...
