We recently visited this place for while shopping for an anniversary party. We liked the venue but we were not happy with the manager Shuanna. She was rude. She did not answer our questions properly and gave blunt responses many times. It looked like she was disinterested. We decided on some other venue where the staff was more friendly. They need to improve their customer service!

I had to DJ a party there and I called several times and no one answered the phone nor did I receive a call back. But I received the information I needed via the birthday girl mom and I wasn’t able to use their speakers I had to bring my own DJ speakers. However the reason I gave 5 starts is because of Tam and the young man that was security ( can’t remember his name)!!! They were SUPER professional and helpful. I was just the DJ and when I asked a question they answered it and even helped me with a resolution! Amazing service, zero attitude, professionalism, and willing to help

The day of the party went smoothly, but leading up to was a little iffy! They were always there to answer questions, but sometimes provided confusing answers, or just not enough information. They do provide linens, chairs, and tables, but only for 50 people, which we did make work. You do have to provide some pretty basic necessities like napkins, cups, and ice. We were not told about having to clean everything up afterwards as well, and when we discovered there was an additional cleaning fee option we apparently missed the deadline. We were frustrated that we were not explained this before the deadline, and they did an excellent job of still being able to accommodate that! The set up inside was cute, well lit, cute photo op areas! Speakers worked well also! They provide a computer but we brought our own and hooked up the speaker through Bluetooth! If you are looking for a place of value that does require a good bit of DIY, this place will be a good fit for you! Would recommend to the right people / set up

5 Stars – Uplifting Experience

I was feeling low and just walking past with my daughter, we stopped to admire the ladies dancing when the Zumba instructor literally ran out during class to invite us in. I'm not much of a dancer however I joined in at the ending of a routine and I must say I haven't felt this alive in a while.That small act meant the world. I felt welcomed, included, and uplifted. The energy in that room was everything I didn’t know I needed. Thank you for creating such a beautiful, compassionate space! 🤗

We had an event Jan 2025 at the Frisco location. The place is clean and cute. But it wasn’t very easy to understand what is available vs not. The lighting is not conducive for pictures on stage but will work for a dim light party. When asked earlier about the lighting was told to check on instagram but you can’t really judge from those pics. Not very happy about the overall coordination and cordiality in communication. There is scope for improvement overall.

Shuanna was a good help always there if I had any questions or concerns… I like the fact that we were able to use outside catering because my husband showed out when it came to the food it looked delicious and it was all mouth watering… The bartender Felisha was a great help she helped my husband before any of his help got there…

The venue provides tables, 50 chairs, and black linen but no ice you have to provide your own ice..
That’s one of things I was like “No ice?” What?
if you want anything more or different color linen they have a vendor list to help out…

I was referred to this venue by a previous customer. I will say that the pricing is affordable, but as for the owner/ manager she was not very cordial or friendly with us. The lack of communication and directions was distasteful for such a business. All communication had to be initiated on our end. The venue as a whole is fairly decent and has potential. But I will not solicit services with this venue or refer anyone else moving forward. This just breaks my heart to leave such a review.

Ps: Hats off to our Bartender and Security Guard 👏 they were both very friendly and helpful.

I bumped into this fitness lounge and signed up for a one month membership pass. It’s a little bit far for me to drive to , however, the teachers are amazing energetic and responsible. Love the atmosphere they created. Definitely will recommend to friends

I have hosted three separate events at the Jam Box and attended diverse types of events at their Frisco and Addisons locations and I have been pleased with each experience. My most recent experience was my 50th Birthday party and it was a seemless experience. Nique was an excellent bartendar who compliments the Jam Box Brand well. Also, planning my event and working with Ms Shaunna was easy. She was attentive and very responsive to any question or request I had. I highly recommend them for your Event needs.

I went to a workout class for the first time last Saturday and for the first 20 minutes of the class, the instructor and another woman spoke about a trip they wanted us to attend in support of a work out event. I paid for a workout class not to spend the first 20 minutes listening to people market another event. They could have had the decency to wait until the class was over to give us the option to listen or not. I was so disgusted I will not be returning.

Completely rude because she didn't communicate on her end and tried to make me feel like it was my fault. She was so rude I decided not to have my daughters party at any of her facilities. However, 5+ stars for her event planner Shauna. She called me back and was overly apologetic, completely nice and patient and went over all the details with me. Decided to book at the Galleria event space solely because of Shauna.

I was here for a bridal shower and the space was absolutely perfect for our event. Lots of space with plenty of seating and surfaces for all our decorations and food. Extremely close to stores too, so getting last minute items wasn’t a hassle. The on site personnel was really helpful as well, I would definitely recommend anyone take this space into consideration for any event!

WARNING, DO NOT RENT from Jam BOX! I signed a contract & paid in full early, Jam Box canceled my event stating, "double booked" error on their part! I know for a fact that's not true! I confirmed my date several times in person, each time 'Kel" my coordinator confirmed date was available. Two months before my event, I got a 'TEXT" message from Kel that there was an error in their scheduling, they had double booking! Had I read there many other BAD reviews, I would NOT have looked their way! Was told by owner Dominique a full refund would be issued days ago, no refund as of yet! Wish i could share more but I PROMISE YOU, I will be litigating!! Hope this rating prevents someone from making a mistake and renting from Jam Box.

Other than the microphone having issues, this was a GREAT experience. Each instructor was well spoken, discussed each move and made it fun to workout. I paid for a virtual experience, but Live seems cool. They gave them tea samples, which is very refreshing after and during workouts. I hate they are so far from me. I'd love to go in person.

This venue was perfect for my wedding. The staff was very accommodating. Loved that its basically already mostly decorated with a nice modern vibe. You honestly get a good amount of stuff included with the price of renting the venue. All I really had to bring was a few extra decor items to make it spooky for Halloween.

The staff here is super sweet Dominique, Kels and Grady all got back to me promptly about concerns I had and guided me through it with ease.

Don’t rent with them, it’ll be a complete disaster. Dominique (owner) is dishonest, staff is unprofessional, new location is uncomfortably HOT and small.

We excitedly booked with the Jambox for my mother in laws 10 year vowel renewal Pre COVID. The initial communication was horrible, Felicia was always late and nonchalantly rude. They moved after us signing a contract, and DID NOT make anyone aware of the move! Not to mention it was already PAID IN FULL and we were told our money was NONREFUNDABLE!!! Invitations were ordered and arrangements were made with the old location in mind…. After bringing the issue of the move to the owners attention, they made it seem like it wasn’t a big deal that they hadn’t offered guest an option to rent or not. They made it VERY clear they WOULD NOT offer a refund after the negligence .

They made it very inconvenience, to view the new location and even canceled on us the day of viewing. Since we couldn’t get a refund we decided to keep the booking. BIG MISTAKE. The new location is small and the A/C IS NOT SUFFICIENT. We only had about 10-15 people in the building for set up and everyone was sweating profusely! We asked about the A/C and Felicia yet again nonchalantly stated it was on 65 degrees and she couldn’t do anything about it… she offered to bring out some fans out …(funny they had those on hand) which did absolutely nothing. They are well aware that the air is not sufficient but definitely won’t mention that when booking. We booked a Dj and Felicia told him he had to keep the music down until the business next door closed because they would complain! (I believe it’s a massage parlor) It’s an event space, what would you expect? Not to mention my mother in law was rushed to the ER from HEAT Exhaustion. When I called Dominique to explain all of the issue we were faced with during our experience with them, she stated it was because my mother in law was difficult and Felicia had reached a breaking point… the conversation was very comical and none of our issues caused by them were addressed. It was a waste of time, effort, and money. I definitely am all for supporting black owned businesses but I will NEVER do business with them again. Not only are we stuck with bad memories, we’re also stuck with a huge hospital bill.

I rented this venue a year ago for my husband 60 birthday party and a month before the party when I went for a final tour I was informed they had relocated. I had purchased items for the place I originally toured and to find they relocated was unacceptable. There was poor communication from the staff and the owner is very rude. The owner Dominique and her team did a great job getting us set up with everything we needed to make our event a success. JamBox is a beautiful and clean space with great lighting, a cool ambiance, plenty of space, a great sound system, and even a great place for photo op’s. I also love coming to JamBox during the week for Cardio Dance classes led by the amazing Earl Thomas. I truly say enough good things about JamBox, and I know I will definitely be back!

The owner of this facility is extremely deceptive, unprofessional and uncooperative. She is argumentative and although the facility is decent, it is way overpriced. The price she quotes will change on you and despite the advertisement she is not willing to honor what she is advertising. Horrible service.

Very detailed review; I have lots of mixed feelings about this place. Most of my problems were during the first couple of months of booking. **I was recently told by the owner that they were in transition between event specialists, Frisco was still being opened, and I must have gotten caught up in the fiasco.**
The facility: The inside is nice. The ceiling is made of some plastic/particle board tiles. Some were coming away from walls and ceiling, so hopefully they will fix that soon. The kitchen is a small storage room with a utility style sink. You'll have to bring your own ice and trash bags. Be prepared to pay well over market for rentals of additional tables, chairs, and linens. Bartender price is reasonable at $100 for 4 hours. This includes them helping you partially clean up and assure you will get your damage deposit back.
Perks compared to other places in the area: comes with enough tables/linens for a reasonably sized party (up to about 80- I think it's too small for 120 max stated on contract), nice fixtures and furniture, and you can bring in your own food and alcohol
Cons: parking, some unprofessionalism with conflicting information and timeliness, visiting times are limited b/c they hold fitness classes there

In March, I called to book a tour after a drive by one day. The person did not show, then tried to convince me that we spoke and she rescheduled. I took off work for the tour, so I'd definitely remember a reschedule or cancellation conversation.
1. Called about the no show at my tour, and spoke with who I now know is the owner. She encouraged me to come to a "taste and see" event. I attended and went ahead and booked my event. That was considerate.
2. Something was not clear on my contract, so I called to verify. The person I spoke with was rude and later I learned was giving me misinformation. I referred back to my contract, called again, spoke with who I now know is the owner (Dominique), and she clarified for me the questions I had and verified what was on my contract was indeed correct.
3. I was able to choose the dates of the remaining balances to come out of my bank. It was wrong on my contract. I called 4 times to get this changed. I was reassured it was changed, but it was not and the money was taken out on the wrong date for both remaining payments.
4. Even through the mishaps, I referred 3 people to the space. All three had a similar word to say about their tour... "seemed nonchalant and unbothered for business." Two were given quotes written on a sheet of notebook or copy paper. One was given a verbal quotes. All the pricing was different for same basic package. When I recently addressed this with the owner, she told me that pricing is different based on specials and incentives. None of the people I referred mentioned being offered a special or incentive at their tour. All they were told was that the price was good for 3 days.
5. 2 weeks before my event, my band contacted me with a photo showing another band was playing there at the same time and date as my party. Of course, in a panic, I called and also emailed. I was emailed back that it was a mistake and the band had it wrong. The owner reassured me that they had my party booked and not that other band.
It seems as if there was a series of unfortunate events, all of which came from maybe being ill-prepared to open a second location and having subpar staff in place at the time. Even with the owner trying to make it right, something just still seemed off. We will see how it goes in a couple of days and I will write another review.

If I could give this place a no star I would. Unfortunately I have to at least highlight one star. The owner was beyond rude. Threaten to hit my vehicle. I asked him to repeat what he said because I was shocked. And he effectively repeated the same thing. The man was wearing a suit so I expected to be treated with class but clearly you can’t judge a book by its cover. This was a classless individual. Do not recommend this place at all.
