No A/C and it's stinky but they leave you alone and you can scream if you want/need to. Only $5/guest pass. I always stop by while in SA.

Great place to work out. The shelves on the walls are lined with power lifting trophies and they cater to more serious lifters. It's a lot like Metroflex or Powerhouse Gym.

If you wanna sit on a machine all day while texting this is not the gym for you. If you are serious about lifting weights this is a great gym at a great price. I first went to Joe's in the 90's when SA had Fitness Connection, Raquetball, Ballys etc... When I stepped in this gym and heard the loud Rock music and the grunting and screaming I knew I would fit right in lol

THIS GYM IS THE BEST MOTHERF'N gym in the austin/san antonio area that I've seen so far.
You WANT HARDCORE???? You got it! The management is awesome and very nice. I only visit once a week or so when I'm in town but I'll tell you that you will not be disappointed at all.
metro san antonio is good but something about this one is just too awesome.
