Shoshana is truly a master instructor of pilates. She literally ques and teaches the exact purpose and tempo of how to do the exercises. She also brings great positivity and energy to every session. Highly recommend for all levels of fitness!

If you’ve ever done Pilates, Shoshana is detail oriented so you get the most out of your session and leave feeling great! If you’ve never done Pilates, she will guide you through the most effective teachings with her in depth knowledge and passion! I have scoliosis, and without Pilates, I’d have the worst discomfort in my chest and upper back! But I do not! Highly recommend Joy Moves and Shoshana to get your body strengthened and stretched!!

Joy moves has a beautiful studio and careful instruction. For a small studio, they offer a lot of training options for beginner to expert and they have all the pilates equipment available. I encourage you to come and check it out!

I first began Pilates in July of 2016 and have to say - it's truly become my new favorite form of exercise! I attribute my success with Pilates to the wonderful teachings of Sarah and to the beautiful, open, welcoming space. I have taken almost 15 private lessons with Sarah and have seen so much improvement with my core strength and overall fitness. Sarah is cheerful, positive, fun and I really enjoy our time together each week. For anyone who is interested in pilates, this studio is absolutely the BEST place in Austin to try it out. They have an especially awesome and informative website as well. Way to go, JoyMoves!

As a runner that suffered a severe foot injury due to over training and poor running form, I needed to find a way to mix things up. After taking pilates classes at Joy Moves regularly for about three months I have seen significant improvement in my running form – my core is significantly more stable and my running so much more efficient. Not to mention that my posture, which has always been a problem for me, is much improved and my jeans fit better than they have in years. All of the instructors I have taken classes with are attentive, knowledgeable, and encouraging - they are truly sincere in wanting to help you reach your goals. The studio environment is especially friendly and the classes are just the right size, never overwhelming.

Highly Recommend: Shoshana paces my sessions to my needs and how my body is operating at the time of each session. She knows exactly when to push me to do more and when I am maxed out. I am overweight and out of shape. Pilates is not just for the fit to stay fit. Pilates is the safest, swiftest, and most efficient method to regain strength and stamina if one has the right instructor. Shoshana is that for me. I drive quite a distance to Joy Moves and it is well worth it.

My wife and I were looking for a way to get back in shape and found a groupon for joy moves. After private leessons with Ashley we knew this was the place for us. Very friendly and open for beginners and the staff is always a joy to interact with.

I absolutely LOVE JoyMoves!
I have been on the hunt for a new Pilates studio ever since my previous instructor moved to a studio that was just to far away for me. After many failed attempts I finally succeeded!
The studio is beautiful and conveniently " for me" located just past Barton Creek mall on Capital of Texas Hwy.
The price is very fair and you have quite a few different options for the style class that you want to take. When you first sign up to take classes here you are required to buy a package of 3 private Pilates sessions. I had never heard of this before but from what I hear it is quite common & I am actually really glad that they do this!
First off you get 3 private sessions for $100 bucks! That's a good freakin deal! Second it shows the instructor what level you are so that you don't get put into a class that is to slow or fast paced for you. I wish all studios had the same prerequisites so people "myself included" didn't waste time in classes that don't fit in.
Once you are cleared to start taking group classes you have options. They offer Reformer, Tower/ Matt, Barre and a few others that I have not had the chance to take yet.
JoyMoves is also really good for Prenatal Pilates. I am pregnant with my second baby and have been here from the beginning. I am now 8 months pregnant and still taking classes! They really watch out for me and help modify my exercises and moves so I don't hurt myself or the baby.
There is a lot more that I could write about these guys but I am only going to mention one last thing. They have a rewards program where you receive rewards for signing up for classes on line etc. these rewards get you things like free merchandise and free classes. O ya and they offer free random classes every once in awhile just for fun. So it pays to like them on Facebook if you are a member so you are first to know about these classes and other specials and promotions that they have.
If you are looking to try Pilates or just looking for a new studio I highly recommend Joymoves!

I love this place!! The classes are fun and always extremely informative. The instructors are very knowledgeable and constantly watch, correct and encourage during fun and sometimes exhausting workouts!! I've been going to JoyMoves for over and year and can't wait to get to my next class!!

Joy Moves has a great studio and experienced, nice instructors. I really enjoyed going there and would continue if they weren't quite so far south of me! They offer good pricing for pilates, in the Austin area.
