We absolutely love Sensei Piper!! It feels like home as soon as you walk into the room!! We get to travel together to tournaments, EVERY parent cheers on EVERY child and praises them!! We even sit down as a family and eat dinner together afterwards!! Can’t wait to see the improvements in each and every one at Westwood!!

I have been one of Sensei Pipers adult students since he first opened his dojo. My niece, nephew, and daughter have all been among his students as well. Sensei always takes time to answer the kiddo's questions about how to defend themselves in real situations the kids may be actively dealing with in school, etc. He is very knowledgeable and there are never stupid questions if you're not sure about what you're doing. I refuse to go to another Sensei as long as I'm close enough to at least travel to Westwood. There are many positives I could add here. You won't be disappointed signing up!

I’ll start by saying my daughter is an amazing kid BUT she has struggles with ADHD and regulating her emotions which is not something every teacher/coach is prepared for or should be expected to handle. She has also never been very athletic and would probably rather be a couch potato playing Minecraft or drawing. So when she decided she wanted to try karate I figured she was going to treat it the same way she treated gymnastics and dance - try it for a couple of months, then want to quit when it got hard or boring. This is the hardest I have ever seen her work for something EVER. We had some hurdles with her behavior in the beginning that we have since overcome which I believe is the result of the great structure the dojo creates for her. I’ve watched her make so much improvement in class which in turn has made significant improvements at home and school. She just got her yellow belt after months of hard work and she is very proud of herself. The kids who attend are also really good kids who respect each other and she has made a lot of friends. Do you and your kid a favor and sign them up!

Both my sons have been with this organization for many months. My son age 7 and oldest son age 15 are growing with strength and most importantly respect. The Sensi is a strong leader and someone the boys can look up to. He is matter of fact, honest and very direct with both boys to push them towards confidence and learning the art of karate.
