I’ve been to this gym since it opened in 2022 and management has downgraded a lot.

The staffs are nice but the gym itself is minimally maintained with a lot of equipments feeling old and not properly cleaned.

The turf matts are split apart.

They once had a clock that wasn’t right for 6 months and finally just got rid of that instead of fixing it.

If you’re paying more than $30 / month, go somewhere else. It’s not worth it.

Tremendously slow to repair their pool and jacuzzi. This was originally a 24 hour fitness which means it has a Steam Room and does NOT have any racquetball. I don't really care about racquetball, however, the steam room would be really nice to have. You will hear multiple different excuses why they are not allowing us to use it. Why cant they just allow us to use it,? it is already built and just waiting for us to enjoy it. It is only fair since there is no racquetball here. C'mon Management, loosen up.

Hi! This location is really nice, kind staff and always clean.
I’ve been a member for a while, again the gym is great but it’s disappointing that one of the men toilet has been marked “scheduled for service” for nearly a year. For a gym that’s part of a well known chain, I believe the facilities should match the quality and maintenance standards of the other locations. I hope this can be addressed soon. Thanks!

I’ve been going to this gym 4+ days per week for 3 months now…. and unfortunately, about 75% of the time there have been no sanitation wipes available. I always wash my hands before and after workouts, but that only does so much.

I’ve brought this up to the morning staff, and they’ve mentioned that it’s often due to a “low budget.” I’ve visited several other LA Fitness locations and have never run into this problem, so it’s disappointing to see it consistently happen here.

Cleanliness is a basic expectation, especially in a shared gym space. I hope this can be addressed soon.

I have been using this gym for 5+ years. Used it back when it was 24 Hour Fitness. The gym is great. Basketball, pool, weights. It has everything I need. It doesn't ever seem too crowded to me. I cancelled my membership now, because I built a home gym. It was a painless process to cancel my membership, which I really appreciate.

I had a membership. One of their staff gave me special access (which I paid for), then when that staff disappeared, they pretended none of it ever happened. I was treated like a liar. Then later, they charged my card even though I tried to cancel — the front desk acted totally helpless, like they had no idea how the system works.

You get no support. No help. Just constant charges and fake apologies.

"LA Fitness Robbed Me With a Smile"
They scammed me twice and smiled through it. First, I was sold a guest pass by an employee — later found out he wasn’t even allowed to do that. When I tried to explain it to the front desk, the manager basically told me “we don’t care what happened before.” They just wanted more money.

Then they sneakily charged my account even though I asked to cancel. The lady at the desk said she didn’t “know how” to check my account and told me to come back. I came back after a few days and guess what? My card was charged. Called the bank. Got my refund. Now LA Fitness says I have to pay again to come in.

This gym is a joke. I signed up thinking it was a professional place, but turns out they allow their own employees to run side hustles inside. One guy (Ely) was giving out guest passes for cash under the table. We didn’t know it wasn’t legit — until they banned us from entering one day and refused to acknowledge their own employee's scam. We were forced to repay like we did something wrong.

My experience at LA Fitness has been nothing short of disappointing and stressful. It started when a staff member named Ely took cash payments from me and my friends in exchange for guest passes. This felt shady, but we were told it was legitimate until one day, Ely got caught. Instead of addressing the situation professionally or acknowledging their own employee’s misconduct, the manager at the front (a man with spectacles) coldly told us we couldn't enter and insisted we pay again — showing no responsibility for what had happened earlier.

Still, I stayed calm, paid again like a respectful student, and continued using the gym.

Recently, my membership was about to renew, but since my college is far and I’m currently facing challenges, I didn’t want to continue. I went in to cancel before the renewal, and the woman at the front desk (also wearing glasses) had no clue how to use the system. She gave me vague responses like “I don’t know your end date,” and told me to come back later. Due to my exams, I returned just a few days after — and by then, the membership had auto-renewed and charged my account.

I contacted my bank and got the charge reversed. But instead of understanding my situation, LA Fitness told me I couldn’t use the gym anymore unless I pay the full $63.87 again. Even though the fault was theirs — due to poor communication, untrained staff, and lack of support — I was treated like I did something wrong.

The staff here is untrained, unprofessional, and lacks basic customer service. Instead of supporting loyal students and members, they look for ways to trap you into payments. This whole experience has been mentally draining.

If you're a student, or just someone who values transparency, accountability, and basic respect — AVOID LA FITNESS. You deserve better.

I love this gym! This gym is pretty new compared to the other LA fitness locations around DFW, and the staff is always really friendly, the workout equipment is clean, and you have everything you need to get a good workout session. I got robbed last night at this La Fitness. I have only been to this Gym twice. I went with my buddy who let me use his guest pass. All good. nice gym, clean, good hooping. That is until I got my phone stolen. I mean this is not the gyms fault. They cant control who comes in and out. Wait isnt that what the front desk is for? After some digging with the "GM " the person that stole my phone was someone who wasnt a member and didnt have a guest pass. not only could we not have a name to the face that stole my phone but we dont even know who he is associated with. Why you may ask? because the employees there werent doing there job. The person who took my phone simply said "i left my airpods" walked straight in, shot around the basketball gym, stole 3 pones and left. To top it off, after my phone got stolen the employees are at the front arguing about what to do. "this is the 5th phone that has been stolen" is not something you wanna hear when youre already mad about the situation.

I got a membership through one pass. Before I did it I made sure to talk to the AGM- Josh. Who couldn’t tell me the price of anything. Finally when he figured it out he let me know with my membership it gave me elite access. And I asked if that included a guest. He said yes same as our elite membership. I’ve been coming for a month switching between 2 locations near me. No one has ever said anything to me about my guest. All of a sudden today they switch up saying no guest included in the elite membership because I’m going through my work plan. Now the general manager is belittling his front desk employees by saying “oh you know front desk people don’t know” I told him we sat down with his AGM and he goes on to say “yeah we are working on him he’s a bit new.” I said he told us he’s been here for 2+ years. If he’s general manager and his front desk and AGM don’t know anything- maybe he isn’t teaching them correctly and he isn’t a very good general manager. Wouldn’t recommend this gym with “stupid” front desk employees and a manager who just talks crap about them.

I read some of the other reviews and don't quite understand why some people complained about the staff. Every time I go, everyone seems to be in a good mood, friendly and helpful if I ever have a question. Dylan was awesome! He helped fix a little issue that we had with a Frisco location. He gave us great customer service and was very polite and attentive to our issue. The gym itself is good in my opinion. It's never overcrowded when I go, it seems clean to me and the pool and hot tub are always in very good shape. The machines, weights and overall area has pretty much everything one needs. I see no reason to not enroll at this gym.

I’m in there 6 days a week, and I get out of it what I need. Staff has gotten a lot better in the last few months. There are certain times of the day when idiots will drag dumbbells and plate weights all over the gym and just leave them there, but the staff work quick to return everything. Offensive and disrespectful instructors (Lindsey-Zumba, good class but trash mouth for years). Pool and hot tub here is especially bad about having men enter the water with their underwear on, not even swimsuits. Disgusting and hygiene concern. None of these issues are resolved nor is the any monitoring to prevent either of these problems.

Uncivilized staff. Gym locker room is trashed out by dissatisfied members everyday. I reported and was insulted. Where are the keyholder responsibilities of making sure the gym is suitable? The cleaning woman is doing her job. No true management at gyms. Staff sits there and gossips and insults, very little else. Unprofessional communication by staff and class instructors very unhealthy overall to members.

The gym facilities are good, but the staff is extremely rude. I have been to several locations. Carrollton is one of the worse with the young girl that works the front in the evenings. She is constantly speaking inappropriately and spreading hate and sexual comments to those checking in. She should be fired along with the number of workout class instructors who put on a decent class but also have mouths that are offensive, rude, and filled with insults, cutdowns and gossip. A person should find the gym a positive experience. Being in contact with the majority of the staff is toxic and a damaging and hostile experience. (The same employee mentioned above wants to leave early and locks the doors 15 minutes before closing when working late. Even stores stay open up until close time.) I want to be a participant in the classes but virtually all of them have been filled with hate by instructors especially the bike, swim, yoga, and bike classes.

I have been going to this gym for about 8 months. Every place has the good and the bad… the good is that it’s a very big place and you can meet a lot of people! You can play basketball and they have sauna and a pool. The gym is clean and they do a good job in maintaining equipment. I know they had broken equipment and they have to put in a request to fix the equipment and that can take some time( up to 1 month). It’s a great place to really connect with others through their classes that they offer and overall it’s a very friendly and good environment! It’s not perfect no one is but overall this place is a wonderful experience!
The bad … yes the staff could be a little nicer and friendlier but they are not rude. They follow their internal rules and that means that they keep the business going. I respect them for that! In my personal opinion if you follow the rules and be respect the staff and their equipment this can be a wonderful place to work out. All the negative comments that I saw were people who were disrespectful. I try to put myself in their shoes and get that there is a very high volume of people that come in through that door every day so I get it that it can be demanding. If you do favors for one person than other people will come and say they want favors too …
Overall this is a great place to workout and bring your workout buddy and you can have a great time!

The equipment is great but the staff isn't very friendly. Very Tiktok gym bro energy. No one ever greets you as you come in or leave. If there is someone at the front desk, then they are either eating fast food or on their phone and never look up. The sales manager at the front desk would not let him in despite the fact the 7-day guest pass says "eligible for any gym". He said I belong to a "gym in a different territory" and he would not honor the pass for my guest. I asked for his name only to learn from another LA Fitness employee at a different gym there was no one by that name at this gym. So, not only did he not try to work with my guest as a "potential new member" (and let him work out there), but he lied about his own name. I will never go back to this gym. That, and my friend will be looking for a different gym. I do NOT recommend this gym!

Once you are in to come in to workout you are good but if at any time you have to talk to someone please have a thick skin because man these dudes are oh so rude. You come in and they are on their phones. I came in on Wednesday and had to wait until he looked up and I told him I came for a tour. My tour guide, Andres, was super sweet and nice. Other than that just come in and do what you have to do.

Dumbbell area very small and clustered. Single day pass $20. Girl at the front gets paid to watch videos on her phone and do nothing else..doesn't even acknowledge people.

I thought a while about whether I wanted to write this review, but I'm hoping they actually read these and can make some positive changes. I've been going here for over a year now, and while there are a couple nice employees, most of them barely acknowledge your existence when you walk in, and are just looking at their phones. I think a lot of people (especially kids) know they don't pay attention to whether you scan in or not, so the gym is artificially overcrowded with people who don't pay. They rarely refill the moist rags or paper towels in the bathroom, so if you don't bring your own towels you can't wipe down your equipment. Also, there's a water fountain that hasn't worked the whole time I've been going here, and a bunch of the lockers aren't working. I think a few small changes from mgmt could make this a 4 or 5 star place, but there's just a lot of laziness/apathy from the staff thats making me look for other gyms. It's a super convenient location for me, but at this point I'm willing to travel if they can't cover the basic needs of a gym.

I got the free guest pass online and went there. The pass said you would only need to carry the pass with you to the gym but to my surprise the manager there said I needed a state ID, which was not mentioned on the day pass.

So far so good. Machines are working, and even when the place is packed you can get in a good workout. I don’t have to deal with the front counter people so not sure what the deal is there. Just scan and workout. Pretty easy.

It's awesome. Free Lockers you don't need to bring locks for. No stairs to climb. Stuff new and shiny aug 2021. Nice folks. Even a ledge to put my glasses in the shower and brand new floaty things by the pool. Great location. Locker room has one place with a back rest. Guests. I do with they had a swim suit dryer

1 location needs to be open later per area! Some of us work 12 hour days and have kids. Carrollton/Irving, Euless, Arlington, North Richland Hills, Mckinney.. have 24 hr gyms and no I'm not talking about planet. Eos, Colow, absolute recomp, CLUB 4 fitness. In 6 months Eos is opening in plano...I'm likely to end LA Membership for better hours that fit my schedule not the other way around.

The pool and the jacuzzi area is not safe. The edges of where you sit, stand and/or grab are slippery. My biggest safety concern. Any person could slip and fall.
The steam room is not open, what is the reason? If the steam room open, I will definitely join. My one big reason for not joining is the steam room, instead I am choosing Rosemead center.

Front desk have no idea about anything and sales person I spoke to told me that I can’t get a gym pass . 🤦‍♀️Meanwhile I called another location and they told me as long as I signed up for a gym pass I can come anytime time … How do you run a gym with bunch of people who don’t even know basic info ????!!!!

My friend who has a membership sent me a 7 day guest pass. I didn't realize I had to set up an interview time. Let me back up. Earlier that morning she sent me the pass. Later we discussed getting together to go workout at LA fitness. We get there and I show the lady my pass an aaand her reply was "you hae to make an appointment and everyone has gone home. But you can pay $20 for a day pass. " The gym closed in one hour. I really just wanted to check out the gym and look around, maybe lift a few weights. . She was rude and really just out to get money. I am not longer interested in signing a membership with LA Fitness anymore regardless of the amenities.

Horrible gym. Once again no one showed up to open gym on the weekend. Happens almost weekly and no cares when tons complain and have to leave. Destroys workouts for those who have to work during the week. Equipment always broken down and never repaired. 3 treadmills down for 6 months and still not working. New manager every other week. Sales team doesn’t walk the floor to help, converse with client, and just terrible. 7 year family member no more. Stay away and never plan on the gym being up on time. Be careful!! when you upgrade from ESPORTA to LA FITNESS, they’ll try to cheat you into making a whole new account for their commission. It’s only 10 dollars to upgrade, they tried to get me to start a whole new account, I would’ve spent 200 dollars for nothing.
