The club’s pretty good. The people who greet you are at the front desk are cheerful and I like the fact that the pool area is large, well-lit, and outdoor-facing, and there’s a sizey hot tub! You meet a lot of cool people in the whole space. I also appreciate that – after I complained — they did a good job of revising their cleaning policies, and it got better, but the men's locker room can still be very trashy with towels and stuff on the floor and broken lockers. The pool, too, could use a good soaking with chlorine in the tiles to clean up the super-dirty grout. I'm kind of amazed they don't do this. It also galls me that they don’t seem to keep a lost and found. If you leave something at the club, be ready to kiss it goodbye.

Plus— in signing up — always ask about ALL the fees. They not only bill for an “initiation fee” but also for an “annual fee.” These, of course are just fancy names for the usual trickster up-charges. They said nothing about the “annual fee” when I signed up. Watch for this financial sleight-of-hand by your salesperson at LA Fitness.

Not my favorite. 20-25% of the lockers are broken making it impossible to safely lock up your valuable when it’s busy. But the end of the day the men’s room smells like an outhouse but the most irritating thing is that whoever controls the music volume frequently blasts the volume and this is worse on weekends. 70-80% of people are wearing earphones or earbuds so it’s not really needed but the volume pretty much drowns out anything you’re listening to. I frequently turn around and go to another location when it’s really bad and it’s almost always the exact same guy at the front desk.

The center has got to do better at improving the heat from the sauna. There are unfavorable reviews abt it here b4 this one regarding the poor function of their sauna. And since it is an important detox protocol for ridding the body of toxins it's time to do the right thing nd correct it. For now any users of the facility, make a note that you will not have gain the optimal benefit from using the sauna in its present capacity. There is heat, weakly dispensing but It is a walk around the block sweat you achieve. A sauna is meant to get a deep heat into the tissue nd organs, not just the surface skin. As for the other services it appears they are available with observable indicators of satisfaction.

I lasted one day in this gym in the change from lifetime to a cheaper facility. Canceled pursuant to contract terms and the national entity spent a month fighting me on it. The workers at the Dallas location were friendly but the general patrons in this gym lack etiquette to some extent I wasn’t sure was possible. I joined recess subsequently and do love that gym despite having to pay more. The equipment at this facility is solid but it’s just overcrowded and gross for the most part

recently moved to the area and stopped by to ask about trying out the gym with a guest pass. When I arrived, the front desk staff member, Liza, was extremely rude. She told me I had already used a pass here, even though I’ve never been to this location before. When I asked about purchasing a guest pass, I was told it would be $20.
Her attitude was unprofessional and unwelcoming. If the goal is to bring in new members, offering a friendlier approach, or even allowing a quick trial, would go a long way. First impressions matter, and unfortunately, mine was negative due to the poor customer service.

It’s one thing for this place to be packed all the time, but for it to not be clean or not have supplies to clean equipment is unacceptable. People who work here do not monitor equipment or if people are cleaning after themselves. Today, none of the stations had any wipes or paper towels to be used to clean equipment that was obviously covered in sweat and it smelled. Once I brought it to the attention of the man working at the front he just looked at me and said okay? Well once someone gets ringworm or a rash he won’t be saying okay. This gym offers a very reasonably priced reformer Pilates membership that is unlimited and you could do 6 classes a day if you wanted to.

The instructors are awesome - I especially have to give Victoria a shout out - her Wednesday classes are KILLER
Another shout out to Gabi’s Thursday class- it is INSANE- great workout

Every instructor has their own way of teaching with different levels of difficulty so there’s something for everyone!

My wife and I have an Active & Fit plan through our health insurance, and while another rep tried to upsell us on a membership, Joel’s focus was on what was best for us. Do NOT park in the parking garage, your car will get burglarized. Went into the gym for 30 minutes on Labor Day and came back to about 20 cars having their windows smashed in, at 11:00 in the morning. Gym/parking lot was packed at the time. Employees told us that this has been an ongoing issue for a while and their cars have even gotten broken into. Understand that it is not the gyms fault that cars are being broken into necessarily, but seems like they are fully aware that this is a problem and have implemented absolutely ZERO precautions to help prevent their paying customers from dealing with this in the future. Police told me they would not even come out to the scene unless a firearm was stolen and that I needed to file the report on their website.

Lyric is the front desk female, sits in the front chair, consistently has an attitude, rude, disrespectful, angry.
This was brought to the attention of the female assistant manager, the manager Terrance and other employees.
I personally met with Terrance and spoke to him on the phone and Lyric’s behavior continues to be unchanged and undisciplined.

The primary reason I am leaving is due to the ongoing water issue and the unwillingness of management to fix it. The water coming out of the faucets and shower is not cool or cold. It is warm/hot. Even the water fountains are not cold. I have mentioned this issue multiple times through the app, I have mentioned it to two different front desk employees, I have directly spoken with Terance (manager) and Marcus (Asst. manager) about it. Cold/cool water is a basic amenity that I can pay far less to have. Furthermore, when I called to discuss this issue, I was told the hot water heater was broken when I had literally showered that same day and it was working just fine because you guessed it, no cold water, only warm and hot. Nothing has been done since directly speaking to management.

Although I have been in several LA clubs and i consider them overpriced for their poor maintenance and lack of quality service, this club is above the average when it comes to maintenance, which is good, but still has its flaws!! One of them and maybe the most relevant for me is that he poor connectivity service in the location!! As soon as you cross the door there is absolutely no service on phones which can be VERY FRUSTRATING WHEN TRYING TO HAVE A GOOD WORKOUT AND ALSO TRYING TO MULTITASK. Also not everyone relays on a music streaming service subscription, and if I want to listen to music from YouTube, chances are I will never be able to in this club!!

You may think “oh but the have WiFi” well if you think the service is trash 🗑️ just imagine their poor WiFi, which for the price of the subscription every club should have a reliable internet access.

I am not sure I will be back to this club again but would be nice if they listen and fix that.

I came in around 3:45 PM hoping to check out the environment before switching from 24 Hour Fitness. I spoke with the sales rep sitting in the first chair to the right, but was told I couldn’t get a guest pass because I had used one before—at another location in a different state. People move, and I think it’s reasonable to want to see a gym in person before committing, especially to evaluate cleanliness and overall vibe.

Unfortunately, no one made an effort to engage or welcome me. I was simply told my only option was to sign up for a month-to-month membership. There was no sense of community or customer care, and I ended up walking right back out the door.

To top it off, the facility didn’t even look clean. First impressions matter—and this was both my first and last visit. Your sales team should focus less on pushing memberships and more on making people feel like they belong

If bringing guest be aware- In my app there’s a “VIP Guest Pass”, nowhere did it state it being a referral, I was simply wanting to bring my friends for a day at the gym with me. So I sent my friends the guest pass and we came. I have listed my mom under the same guest pass before and all that happened was they jotted down her ID and email, so I was expecting the same for my friends. As soon as we stepped in they had them fill out a questionnaire on their fitness goals (whatever) and then led us to the desk area and had them sit down. I could tell they were going to try and sell a membership to them but they are from out of town and only wanted to attend while staying with me today. He said he was going to give us a whole tour and then would proceed after that. I understand this may be a requirement for his job, however we were in a time crunch and just wanted to enjoy the gym. I explained that wasn’t necessary but he said the only way my friends were able to attend would be if we took the tour and I was extremely irritated at this point. 40 minutes later he finally jots down their ID’s after trying to sell them a membership the whole time and we were finally able to workout. This was extremely disrespectful to our time and I’m unsure if he was truthful about “requiring to take the tour” as I had never have to do that with any other guest. This has really made me not want to bring anyone to work out with me at least at this location under a “guest pass”. If they’re going to do this routine it should definitely be cautioned beforehand otherwise I wouldn’t even had done it.

I’ve been to countless gyms in 3 different states and this is the hottest gym I’ve ever been to. How can you charge membership fee but not use it on utilities bill to have the AC on??? This gym is so freaking hot all the time. Seems like an incentive to sign up for their bs towel service. Also the cleaning staff thinks it’s a good idea to mop right under you when you are on a machine, completely throwing you off your set. They also better pray no one slips and falls and files a lawsuit since they never put out wet floor signs

This LA Fitness is one of the more well maintained in the area. Most of the equipment is up to date and I always enjoy the fact that the hit tun and sauna works.

I hesitated to write a review, but after not being able to reach LA fitness after a week, I feel I have no choice. After a situation a staff member made a mistake on, I just tired to correct this with the corporate email. I have been trying to reach LA fitness uptown for days now after they emailed back saying they would help resolve my issue.

I’ve called 3 times today, and the call ends as soon as it rings a couple times with no opportunity to send a voice message.

I don’t blame the staff member that mistakenly told me I would get a special club studio promotion and that is the ONLY reason I signed up hence the cancellation after two weeks. Please see below.

LA fitness is making no effort to get back to me and won’t even take my calls after saying they would try and make this right. Not to mention, this gym is dirty and the most overcrowded gym I have EVER been to in my life. I could have dealt with the old equipment but they are clearly money hungry and just want to sign up as many people as possible, no matter if the gym is at capacity or not.

Wasted $250 on sign up fees and an annual fee! If you’re reading this LA - I’ve sent you 3 emails and tried calling.

Long time member. I find myself giving chance after chance in hoping this place will improve. It has some, mostly in part by the great day time cleaning crew led by Marcella, as well as Denton - the ops manager, who actually cares to engage with their members.

Sales is a joke. Marco would rather indulge in his Trump obsessions than do any meaningful work. The latest stunt is him going out and purchasing an American flag to hang at the entry. Which is just another one of his far-right-wing-bootlicking acts. Completely inappropriate and shows that LAF has zero control of their leadership staff. How he thinks this will boost his sales in area that is ethnically diverse and large LGBTQ+ population, is beyond me.

Corporate has to do better with hiring and rewarding those employees that live and breathe fitness and truly embrace all their members.
