The recent remodel is really disappointing....the intense new lighting is way too bright and uncomfortable compared to the gentle, comfortable lights and cushy carpet that used to make the space feel welcoming...And the switch to hard floors gives off a cold hospital vibe. On top of that, the upgraded treadmill TVs don’t work, several of the good stretching mats and stretching areas have been completely removed or moved to strange places, and this kind of “remodel” should not be repeated....please revert this place back to how it was. Also, before spending lots of $$$, send a survey and ask members what we actually want in a renovation "hey would you like us to remove the carpet? remove the stretch areas ?" NO NO NO

Class fitness room has been closed for over a year, after it had been closed for months before due to water damage. I think it was open maybe a month before water damaged the floor again. The first time the floor was warped for months before being repaired. Every time I call they say it will be fixed next month. It’s been over a year. Called when I found out about the renovations and they said room would be fixed and Zumba classes would be able to resume early December. Just saw that Zumba has been cancelled the entire month of December. It’s a joke how poor their communication is to their members. I’ve reached out to corporate several times with no response.

New remodel is fantastic! Natural light, hardwoods, new machines, a whole section set aside for heavy dumbells(75-125.)

There is a black turf ( oKAY!) plop in the middle, super nice and clean. Replete with all the bells and whistles.

The thing that drew me in may very well split the crowd. Apparently the basketball court is gone. I didnt notice it before(though my previous my home gym was Skillman, and currently its Oak Cliff.) In its place is an AMAZING gym thats focused for legs and back. TEN! Thats TEN, Squat racks, with about five feet in between for walk space, FOUR smith machines, and a bunch of other leg, glute and back machines fill the room. Its well lit, and the floot is a composite rubber so you dont bang or scratch the floor. And your feet grip when you walk!

The staff here is nice and professional. They thing I like is they lowkey let you do you. They're helpful, but dont butt in.
All in all fantastic! I only put 4/5 so people dont think its a bot. To me its a five!!

By far the nicest one I’ve been to. The people that work there are friendly. Also the upkeep is good and it’s newly remodeled so it’s very clean. The lockers aren’t all busted up like many of the other locations. There’s ample parking and they don’t needlessly blast music which is great since everyone is wearing earbuds.

Kevin, Kelly, Josh, and Mike are what makes this place shine and run, Cleanest gym in DFW!! the employees change overtime a lot but I’ve been coming to this gym for a while now! Very great atmosphere and environment! Very informative too and always up to date an actually do their job! It’s hard to find any actual companies that the employees actually care about you. With this gym the staff has always been nothing but upmost respect with every single worker will always be completely helpful to the guests as well since I like to chit chat with the workers at this location a lot! Don’t know what happened with the old GM Joel but he was always great help and a good guy to always share a laugh and smile with. Also talked with the front desk guy and he said they might be getting renovated soon? However this is the nicest La fitness I’ve been to! Are they adding another weight room does anyone know? Men’s sauna is disgusting. The drain sits too high up not allowing it to work properly. Meaning there’s puddles of sweat constantly mixed with mold and mildew. It’s not cleaned or maintained regularly enough. Whole thing smells and feels unsanitary.

Non-Native English Speakers!

I don’t usually leave reviews on Google, but this time I have to speak up. This gym...how they treated my boyfriend was unacceptable. He’s a student working part-time and doesn’t speak fluent English. He was rushed into signing a contract with high initiation and annual fees he clearly didn’t understand.

My boyfriend talked to a staff name Kory, and signed the contract, then realized something was wrong and went back just 10 minutes later to cancel, Kory refused to help and kept saying, “You signed, so you agreed to everything,” even though it was obvious my boyfriend hadn’t fully understood the terms.

We eventually got the membership cancelled—but only after being treated with zero respect and empathy. They were clearly trying to take advantage of a language barrier just to make a sale.

If English isn’t your first language, BE CAREFUL—this place will exploit that.

I just got a membership at LA Fitness and I already love it! Big shoutout to Charles, who trained me today he was awesome! Super professional, motivating, and really took the time to explain everything and make sure I felt confident with the equipment and my workout plan! You can tell he really enjoys helping people. I'll start by saying this gym does have a nice array of equipment and a large space for stretching and doing general warm-up. That's about the only nice thing I can say.

I've gone to this gym for about 2 years and have had a few things happen that impacted my feelings for this gym. I've had my locker broken into and had a large sum of cash stolen, which I admit was my fault for having so much on me, but it wasn't a good experience. Also, I had a female employee yelling and harassing me when the gym was closing up, and I was finishing showering. At the time, my stamina wasn't the best and my fatigue got the better of me which made me drag my feet, but a female employee entered the locker room and began to yell about my presence and how it's closing time. I myself would've wanted nothing more but to be dressed and exit promptly to return home. Yelling was not going to help me go faster.

Now, the most recent thing that has been a large bother, the Zumba/Yoga room in this particular gym has punching bags that I would occasionally use to practice my punches and kicks. However, the last time I've been was December 2024 as the room has been "under renovation" since then and has not been opened since. And while I understand any changes require time, there hasn't been any signs or evidence of any renovations with the same equipment and chairs remaining in the same positions. At this point, I doubt it'll ever open.

April 16, 2025 myself and others had a run at 1:45pm to 2:00 pm an extremely hostile short individual at the preacher curl machine! He was wearing a black wife beater brown hair and beard with grey shorts with a black stripe! Yelling and swearing at us. We were all confused and Left the area! I went to the front desk but no one was there sadly.

Please speak to this individual. The gym is not a place for hostility and ego! Poor blonde haired girl in the squat rack really got the brunt of his attitude.
