Michael from LA Fitness stopped by the office and offered a free pass for me to try the gym, since the location on Golden Triangle is close to my workplace.

During my lunch break today, I stopped by for a quick 30-minute walk. The front desk employee appeared stressed and was not very welcoming. I explained that Michael had given us free access passes. She told me the gym was scheduled to close at the beginning of December, which was different from what Michael had told us.

When I asked if I could still take a short walk, she requested my phone number. After I provided it, she said I could not work out because I had already used a pass once before. When I asked for her name, she declined to give it and stated that she was the manager.

Based on this experience, I’ve decided to keep my membership at Fitness Connection. Their gym is spacious, clean, and the staff is consistently friendly and welcoming.

It's a decent gym if you are just looking to get a good workout in and that's about it.

They are not the cleanliest and there is often overflowing trash bins, empty soap, and dirty locker rooms.

Also, they are way too strict about the sauna. If you put water or oils on the rocks they'll freak out and threaten to call the cops on you until they eventually ban you.

They don't offer any other amenities and the checkin staff don't bother to say hi or greet you goodbye anymore like they used to.

This is the worst LA fitness I have ever been to I do not recommend going here. Please do an entire renovation of the entire facility to match other La fitness gyms.

My biggest complaint is the weights are never reset when the gym closes so if you start with chaos, you maintain chaos through the day. They also need to make clearing out the micro lockers a daily task as they are frequently unavailable (they’re supposed to be for day use). But for the price, it’ll get the job done and is a reasonable value. I like to go up the street to 377 for chest/back where they have better equipment.

The closest two LA Fitness' near my home in Keller ( this one being closest ) might be the two worst in metroplex. Total inaction to downed equipment after being reported.
Here is the latest one:
They said three weeks ago someone was coming "tomorrow" to fix door pump on sauna. A few of us has warned desk they should at least put a sign on door bc unsuspecting persons may think the pump would grab the door but instead, they had to catch the door, or it crashed into wall.
The last request I made at desk was met with "LAF has to approve these signs before we put it up". Takes over 3 weeks to approve would could be a safety issue ?
Someone may open it too hard, not knowing pump is broke, and break the glass when the door slams into wall.
Field work has me moving around the DFW area and I see how the other LAF around here seem to be under more responsive management.

Unfortunately, my experience with La Fitness gym was very bad.
They withdrew money from my account without providing any service or training.
When we went to cancel the membership, they still withdrew money again without any consent.
There was no respect for the customer and no transparency in their dealings.
I do not recommend dealing with La Fitness due to poor management and lack of credibility.

We visited LA Fitness while out of town and appreciated that they offer day passes, which made it easy to get a workout in during our trip. The front desk staff was nice and friendly when we checked in, which made for a smooth start. The gym has a large selection of cardio equipment and a decent variety of machines, though most of it is pretty dated. There was one old-style half squat rack, one full squat rack, and one Smith machine available. Most of the wipe stations were empty, which was a bit of a downside. As we were leaving, we noticed an employee vaping inside the building—not the same friendly staff member who checked us in. Overall, it’s a decent gym with good space, but a few updates and attention to cleanliness would make it even better.

This gym is very, very poorly maintained. Far too many machines are rusted, dirty, and broken (primarily all of the ellipticals, but other machines as well.) There are little to no cleaning supplies to wipe equipment after using. Very few machines for legs and abdominal muscles. No fans when it is hot. The facility heat frequently breaks for days at a time in the winter. Hopefully you already know the employees since you won’t find them behind the desk. They are working out, not in uniforms, no where near the desk. So if you are new, honestly, don’t pay. Just walk in and work out for free. They aren’t watching or working anyway. If you prefer to pay and the money be well spent, go to the location on 377.

I am part of the 5am group of people that come to the gym and we frequently standing out front waiting for someone to come unlock the doors, which is unacceptable and frustrating when this is the only time I’m able to workout. The entire place needs a deep cleaning, there are way too many people who are working there during the day to just be sitting there not cleaning or making sure weights are organized and put away properly. They are lucky that they only other gym in close in Lifetime….

This gym has a lot of potential, but unfortunately, it falls short in several areas. The entire facility desperately needs a deep cleaning—I’ve never seen gym equipment so neglected. Machines are often dirty, and the weights are always disorganized or missing. The staff, mostly young employees, seem disengaged, spending more time on their phones than maintaining the gym. While there are a few workers who seem to know what they’re doing, overall, management is lacking.

Equipment-wise, there are no squat racks—just a single Smith machine, which is disappointing for anyone serious about lifting. The sauna is shared between men and women, which may not be ideal for some members. And if you use the cable machines, be mindful—stand still too long, and you might find ants crawling on you or your belongings.

For being the closest gym in the area, it’s frustrating that corporate hasn’t stepped in to improve conditions. This place could be so much better with proper maintenance, organization, and oversight.

If I could give this place negative stars I would. I’m not sure who manages this place but they should consider a career change. Bathrooms are always filthy with urine on the floor and smells horrible. No soap at the sinks. Half the sinks don’t have any water. There’s always some equipment that is out of service. The sauna stays dirty as well. There’s always plumbing issues and during one of the recent freezes the heat didn’t work. Only reason I still go here is for the convenience.

If you took a sponge and soaked it in urine and let it sit in a hot car for a week, you might be able to replicate the smell of the toilet area of the men’s bathroom. And it was dirty. Don’t waste your time. Saturday and Sunday they don’t open on time or even open period. Equipment has been broken for months!! No one cares how it looks and unless you plan on going in the middle of the day mon-Fri they won’t open on time and you will be waiting in the parking lot hoping someone shows up to let you in. While I do go to this gym everyday, I unfortunately have to give it a 2 star review.
The gym is not maintained well.

Several machines always have "Service Scheduled", but are not fixed. Other items, like medicine balls and barbell pads, are falling apart without being replaced.

Outside of those items, the wipes are often out or replaced by a spray and paper towels that are also often out. The mirrors and bathrooms are often dirty.

The equipment is also not being moved back to its proper place either during either opening or closing, which makes it very difficult to find the equipment that you need for a workout.

I will continue going to this gym as it's a quick drive for me, but I wish that there was more of an initiative from staff to upkeep and more money from patrons going back into the equipment and upkeep of the facility in general.

Love it here, I have been going here for years but it’s not the gym that I love it’s the people who goes here. People who goes here is friendly and helpful not just that but you always see the same faces no matter what time of the day you go. My trainer was very nice and the place was clean. This is what I posted when I first visited this location. Now their stars have been reduced to 2. Reason being my trained was nice in the beginning, but that changed. It changed when he found out I was not going to pay 165.00 monthly for a trainer. I would ask him to show me how to use the 3 machines that he first showed me that I should be using and ask him on 2 different occasion. He told me that he would and never did. First impression walking in to this LA Fitness was fantastic. The person working the front desk was polite and she made me feel welcomed.

Unfortunately, this is where the positivity ends. The basketball court seems to be neglected. The floor is warped w a cone on top of it. The nets are torn showing bear rim. Another basketball rim seems as if you “dunk” it every time you shoot at it. Another rim is bent. There’s only one good side of the court. The court has no ventilation or AC running through it. I’ve been here two weeks and no improvements or attempts it seems.

The only thing the General Manager or upper leadership seems to care about w the bball court is the trash based on the ten signs in the gym. (I can see that frustration in that). GM may have his hands too with options.

I just can’t seem to see how corporate LA Fitness would allow this to be part of their brand. Either, invest in the basketball court, expand the weightlifting gym, or close the bball court. (🙁)

The restrooms seemed to have some opportunities too (cleanliness and more repairs.)

I’ll continue to be a member for now but I’ll be looking at a competitor soon. I truly hope you invest in this gym! It has sooooo much potential.

Upon entering the establishment, I was warmly welcomed by Miss Caden. She was not only friendly and courteous, but also knowledgeable and helpful in answering my inquiries regarding the location of the men's locker room and specific equipment. I was impressed by the well-organized and orderly arrangement of the gym, which facilitated efficient targeting of muscle groups for daily workouts. To my delight, the entire facility was exceptionally clean and well-maintained, including all the cardio equipment. I was pleasantly surprised to find some old-school equipment, which catered to individuals like myself. I am eagerly looking forward to returning to this establishment and resuming my fitness journey after recovering from my severe back injury.

There is lot of theft happening in the locker room and management is not taking it seriously . My combination lock was opened and my wallet got stolen . The guy charged my credit card for close to $1000 before I can lock the cards. Hard to believe how another member of LA fitness can be a thief. Makes me believe the front desk is not screening people entering the facility . Also apparently none of the cameras outside inside the facility are working. If cameras are working we could have looked at suspicious person coming out of men locker Room around the time my wallet got stolen .
I was also told there was another break in to a locker and car keys and gun got stolen. There needs to be a stop to this and can happen only if LA fitness management takes this seriously.

Not much positive to say here. Facility hasn’t been updated in years. Never clean, especially the showers. My locker was broken into and keys taken to steal valuable out of vehicle, which I came to learn is a normal occurrence and this location and others in the area. All cameras on site are not active. I would NOT recommend anyone join this location until they can learn to properly and timely maintain equipment again.

I’ve been there approximately 17 years with a generally good experience at this location. Now, the maintenance of equipment at this location has gone way down hill. A main piece of equipment has been broken for about 3 months (since early Feb 2023)… and each week they claim… it will be fixed next week… and each week it’s not. LA Fitness used to have pride in maintaining a quality gym… but it’s clear from Management responses they’d rather make excuses than repair the equipment folks have paid to used.

Again, I would NOT recommend anyone join this location until they can learn to properly and timely maintain equipment again. It’s just not worth the money if the equipment doesn’t work. Very disappointed, they should be embarrassed how quality has fallen.

I’m from out of town and came in for a free pass, the staff here are very professional and the gym is incredibly nice!

Edit: It’s been about a year since I was last here and I’m extremely disappointed. I stood at the front desk to buy a day pass for over ten minutes. I eventually went online and signed up for a free pass I signed the liability agreement there so I just started working out. I’ve currently been here here for 45 minutes and have yet to see anyone besides I guess a trainer. The floor is completely filthy, and no spray bottles to wipe down equipment.

I know that statement sounds obvious, but in my experience, most folks are looking for something to motivate themselves to go to the gym or enjoy the atmosphere, that's not what this gym is. If you're seeking an experience that is going to wow you or looking for top of the line machines and new weights, youve misunderstood the purpose of this gym.

This gym is a comfortable place to work out with a partner or somewhere to stop by on your way to work. The locker room is considerably clean and the staff are nice.

I don’t believe this gym is very old and believe it was open just a few months ago however it seems like they just slapped the LA Fitness name when they took over. The gym seems filthy and the equipment seems like it’s old. The mens restroom smells horrible and does not look like it is ever cleaned. It’s just not very well kept.

I love this club. I love the pool, I love the jacuzzi, I just took my first yoga class and it was awesome! Rachel Thursday mornings rocked it! I love the kids club! Even though I wish they had a few more hours 🤷‍♀️😉😁. The room that yoga is taught in is huge! It has a bunch of equipment! Like blocks and mats. It was just an all around great experience this morning.

Not in typical LA FITNESS franchise type building, but setup is good. Has all the equipment and amenities you would want/expect in other LA FITNESS facilities. Everything always seems clean and well kept. Bball court is larger than regular ones. 6 rims all around. It doesn't seem over crowded.

This LA Fitness has severe plumbing issues. This was an older building that is now an LA Fitness. Men's/Women's locker rooms have a stench of sewage no matter how often they 'clean' it. Hot water is hit or miss. I don't mind cold water showers but it does get annoying when you can't even get a little hot water. Staff can't be bothered to clean anything either. Avoid this location at all costs!!

I was previously going to Lifetime Fitness and paying $131.00 a month so I decided to try LA Fitness since they were $35 a month with almost the same amenities. I did do a tour of the gym and was told steam room has been down since purchasing the gym from 24 hour fitness which is ok with me I only care about the sauna. They don't have a class schedule like Lifetime but they have some different ones I would like to try. However my main goal is to get into a workout that is safe for my herniated disk. On my tour day I didn't go into the locker rooms, figured they are probably like any other gym locker room. So day two after joining I had a time scheduled to meet with a trainer and went to the locker room, no locks are provided (wasn't told this) and neither were soap dispensers to wash my hands...with covid I would think that's a must! After I had a session with a trainer they got down to business trying to get me to sign up. They wanted 1 time fee of $150 plus $200 a month for 1 session a week, which would leave me paying well more than I paid just for membership at Lifetime Fitness. I was very disappointed as I had just paid an initiation fee of $99 plus annual fee of $49 plus first and last months dues of $70! This is the main reason for my low rating is they "fee" you to death! When I brought this to the trainers attention he said he could drop the fee and asked if I was getting trained at Lifetime? I said no but LA Fitness can not compare apples to apples with Lifetime because they clearly are not even similar like I had thought! The ONLY good thing I can honestly say about LA Fitness is the monthly rate of $35!

This gym is really nice and has everything that you need. There is a pool, a basketball court, and a sauna. The people that work here are also very great and helpful. The gym is usually never crowded which is good because then I don’t have to wait for people to finish. Also the equipment is pretty new, so overall a great place to get a membership.

The only renovations that LA made when they purchased the gym from 24hr Fitness was to change the company signage outside.
Many of the amenities were taken away like the defunct steam room located next to the sauna.
Somehow this gym is dirtier than when 24hr was running place despite having ample time to clean due LA’s terrible hours of operation.

Edit: They don’t seem to fix broken equipment either. This machine has been broken for almost two months and more machines are breaking.
Can’t rate them any lower 🤷‍♂️
Time to start investing in equipment at home, this place is a joke.

Go see Austin right now! For real. He’s so personable, transparent and honest and honestly so easy to talk to. He mapped out their membership plan in an easy way that I could actually understand lol the facility isn’t packed, and everyone there is really nice. We even asked some regular gym peeps some questions and they were so helpful. Will definitely keep coming back!

I am visiting from another state and I was Excited to find a gym local to the area that I am staying. I have 2 other gym memberships. There are no other options in this area. When my daughter and I went in, they were enthusiastic, not pushy, very welcoming and wanting to help. When you go in go see Austin He doesn't do pushy sells. I'm happy to be working out in a clean, not packed facility.

Please read this before getting a membership! Come on now!! LA FITNESS do better!! Over 80% of the equipment looks like it’s been outside on a playground! Don’t believe me just Ask the staff to take you down each row and just get on some. This is a new gym Bull … be real LA FITNESS IF YOUR POOR JUST SAY THAT!

Just like any other LA fitness, has some nice features. Everything is functional, albeit worn. Would give it 4 stars, however.. this location is just not well kept.

Between the out of order commodes (only one was working, but let’s just say someone made it un-flushable ) and obvious bacterial growth in the soap this is a very poorly maintained LA fitness.

They did recently fix the toilets, but it took more than a month to do so. The soap dispensers continue to be a petri-dish. I feel like that has to be a health code violation.

Horrible customer service. When my bf tried to add me to his membership we called at the location in Keller, we first spoke to Josh (I think) and explained what we wanted to do. Josh without knowing how the membership options work he gave my bf the option to renew his own membership which my bf ended up doing by paying for the whole year, when my bf told Josh he wanted to also add me to his membership. Austin calls my bf back and said because he paid off the whole year he can’t add me to his plan, Austin than proceeded to offer options that included large fees to simply allow me to multi club options and that’s speaking to a manger. When we called back to try to speak to a manager directly, a lady stated there was no manager and it wasn’t long That we spoke to Austin. We were furies. We than called the Euless location and Darell gave us more options understood the situation and helped us so much more. La Fitness need more people like Darell.

Good place to get a pump been coming here for a few months.
Pros- Amazing sauna every time I go it’s been at 180 degrees
Nice variation in the cardio equipment
Has HIT training equipment
You can usually find somewhere to hide and do abs or stretches
They have bumper plates
Cons- The men’s bathroom is disgusting always smells like urine and half the stalls are out of order
They need more 2.5 and 5 pound barbell plates
They only have 2 proper squat racks
Suggestion: consider removing some of the concept 2 row machines to make room for another squat rack.
